    Cali Chopped Cheese with Fries

The Ranch Restaurant & Bar is a great place to eat after a good round of golf. I ordered the Cali Chopped Cheese and really enjoyed the sandwich. The meat was flavorful and the toasted Hoagie roll was good too. My friends enjoyed their food and drinks as well. The service was attentive and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the seating area was comfortable and had a very relaxing vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Friendly service, delicious beef dip sandwiches and pickle fries! [[HIGHLIGHT]]A lovely view to the practice greens from the covered patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is so pretty![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seriously don't want to post this review because this place really is a hidden gem, but it deserves the praise.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My sister got married here and it couldn't have been a better experience (we are neurotic and particular, they accommodated all of her wishes). [[HIGHLIGHT]]Her pictures are magazine worthy, highly recommend.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We come back from time to time for music nights, food and drinks are 10 out of 10 (805 band and country nights are so fun).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We love a patio wine as we call it, and this is the ultimate patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I didn't know I needed "Frachos" in my life until this magical creation was presented in front of me.

Turns out we've been sleeping on the restaurant/bar at Tierra Rejada Golf Course. They went through a rebranding not too long ago - now called The Ranch Restaurant and Bar. When another nearby venue was lacking live music on a Saturday night, we changed course and headed for this spot. Sitting out on the patio as sunset fell, with an excellent musician playing, was a perfect way to enjoy a late summer evening. I wasn't that hungry, but Dear Hubby ordered fish tacos to go with a beer. He let me sample the fish, which was excellently prepared - crispy exterior, soft interior with a delicate flavor. They offer an ice cream sandwich between two chocolate chip cookies. I asked if I could just have a cookie without the ice cream, so they baked one specially for me. Wow! That earned the 5th star. It's delicious, by the way. And the bill just came - everything was very reasonable. We will certainly add this to our date night / live music venue list!

A beautiful setting for outdoor seating. It was quiet as it's a golf course so the majority of customers are players who finished their round or waiting to tee up. Waitress was very sweet and attentive! Ensured we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Drinks were decent - we ordered a few margaritas and an 805 on tap. Food was yummy, appetizer of the candied bacon *drool worthy - it's legit hard to mess that up!* I ordered the TR burger and hubs got the Club sandwich. Standard food fair - fries on the less seasoned side but still tasty. I want to give them more stars but we had several individuals who lit cigarettes on the patio a few feet away from us throughout the hour or two we were there. I looked around for a no smoking sign but didn't see one, I'm accustomed to designated smoking areas for most if not all facilities in the Ventura County area. Cigarette smoke does Not make for a welcoming or enjoyable meal/atmosphere.

Much to my surprise, it was about as lively as I had remembered it. The Alley was established during Covid times and offered a retreat to escape from the humdrum of the homestead. These days, its friendly vibe welcomes neighbors and visitors with a backyard setting strewn with twinkle lights and family-style tables. It's a causal scene and easy to soak in the live music, sunlight/moonlight, and neighborly banter. The layout resembles an alley with shops on either side, big open doors invite you to grab something to eat, sample a drink, or shop for handmade gifts. On one side, you've got craft brews and coffee roasters. On the other side, it's local wines and piping hot pizzas. Dogs are welcome all around. At the center of it all, there's live music on the weekends. Modeled after a Beer & Wine Garden concept, The Alley features Enegren Brewery (beer), Lucas Sellers (wine), California Coffee Republic (java), Fire & Vice (pizza), and The Craft House (non-alcoholic tchotchkes). As a self-proclaimed wino, I opted for a sampling of the Lucas Sellers Wines. Ashley, who was behind the bar and top of the pours, gave me good suggestions and offered anecdotes about each wine on tap. At the end of the night, my light pinot paired perfectly with the Mushroom Arugula pizza from Fire & Vice. And I felt right at home, surrounded by friends.

So many options on the menu including plenty of sugar free flavors and they have soy milk. Love it when coffee shops still offer soy milk. That's a huge plus. They also have the flavor of amaretto which you don't really see much! I've tried it from Monin as a sample and I really enjoyed it that I want to get my own bottle so I was excited they carried it. I ended up ordering an iced soy amaretto latte with only 3 pumps. The barista was nice enough to share w me their medium uses 6 pumps so if I wanted to do half to try it out first. I would've added one more pump but decided to just add a Splenda. It was good and the medium size is more than 16 oz I believe for $7.50. Parking is no problem since it's the big plaza like I said where Target and TJ Maxx are located. What a great first impression. I'll def be coming back here!

It's a special seasonal treat you won't want to miss. I also took a picture of the Matcha ice. I purchased the strawberry ganache pastry and also got a Matcha ice drink to go on ice. Everything was absolutely phenomenal. I also always appreciate a self-serve water station that's so pretty and maintained. Every aspect of Le Hérisson is so elevated, beautiful, and thoughtfully curated. I honestly don't know why I waited so long because wow everything was delicious. The flavors were bold, rich, and absolutely delightful. I ordered the Popeye, a fresh-baked puff pastry with egg, bacon, spinach, and Parmesan cheese, along with the Caprese Danish, which was my absolute favorite! It reminded me of a margherita pizza, and I will definitely be ordering it again. For my drink, I got the Iced Chocolate Blend, and the little girl in me was screaming with excitement it was so rich and delicious, almost like a lightly thick chocolate malt. It definitely did not disappoint! The restaurant itself is super cute, with both indoor and outdoor seating available and awesome music playing throughout the café, which creates such a fun and lively atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and worked hard to keep up with the morning crowd, all while greeting everyone with a smile. One suggestion: Le Harisson should showcase their drinks more because the Iced Chocolate Blend deserves way more attention. Highly recommend! First, the staff are all so kind and welcoming. You feel like you are having dinner in someone's living room. It is so beautiful and cozy and warm. Perfect for a date night! We came on a Wednesday night and had a reservation and got in right away. We shared everything family-style. Note, the portions are small but the food is delicious and for the price it is right on. Next time, may order two of one dish. We got the cucumber herb salad, the potatoes gravas, the elote corn, the flank steak, and the summer margarita pizza. All were fantastic. Next time, we'll get more than one pizza and may skip the flank steak. For dessert we had the cookie with gelato (gelato is SO GOOD) and the pop tart. You must get the pop tart!!!!! It is sooooo good and so unique. Overall, we can't wait to return and take pictures next time!

I came here to try out California Bun, an eatery that has harnessed an interesting (long overdue) concept, to package portable food. Here they prepare snack sized bites (or a little more) of favorite food fancies, enveloped in a daily fresh baked round brioche bun. The store is high ceiling, spacious and large, with ample space to dine in or carry out. It is a mom and pop joint, that is slowly but surely, beginning to make a mark. On the main wall, elegantly displayed, are all the many enticing varieties, for the day. My visit was designed to take something to go. The conundrum here is, what to order, because there were so many inviting choices that were talking to you. I finally decided to select three of these evenly browned and differently topped buns. The El Sabroso (Egg, cheddar & jack cheese, bacon & Jalapeno salsa, garnished with Cheese, bacon & jalapeño). The Roadside Burger (Seasoned ground beef, grilled onions, white American cheese, & secret house burger sauce, garnished with Cheese & bacon). The Mac Daddy (Creamy mac and cheese with a cheddar, jack, and parmesan cheese blend, garnished with Panko bread crumbs). So whats the verdict? The Mac Daddy was my least favorite. In comparing the other two, the Roadside Burger seemed to have the higher of (inside filling/inside bread) ratio, as compared to the El Sabroso. However, the latter is the most attractive bun on the outside and overall, contains a good mix of flavors and slight kick. Any food with a visible Jalapeño is a magnet, for me. Still, this concoction needs more of the egg mixture, to achieve the right balance. In general, all 3 buns were soft, had a nice texture, bread taste and chew. Service here is warm, inviting, friendly and informative.
