I came here for dessert after a delicious dinner at a restaurant nearby. At first, there were several kids inside so it was really loud and a bit hectic with the kids running around getting their froyos but once they left, it calmed down. There's also a few tables inside if you'd like to enjoy your dessert there. I'd say that their main thing is the frozen yogurt, which they have several options for flavors to choose from. It's self serve so you get a cup from the counter and fill up to your desire with the amount of froyo you want and any flavor you want, and then move over to the table that has an endless amount of toppings to add on. You pay per weight at the end. They also have crepes and gelato, which is what I ended up getting. There aren't too many flavors for gelato but they had just the right flavors for me. I chose the mocha chocolate chip and pistachio. The flavors were tasty on its own, mocha and pistachio really stands out, and even worked well together. Texture was also great. I needed a dessert to cheer myself up so my mom and I came here on a Sunday night. Think I just found my new spot for ice cream and crepes! This shop was so cute. They have a wide variety of frozen yogurt, gelato, and crepe flavors to choose from. You can sit either indoors or outdoors, as there's plenty of seating available. They're also taking Covid precautions seriously by packing the yogurt toppings in containers. The shop was kept very clean and organized. The lady behind the counter was friendly as well. Craving dessert, my mom and I shared a Cookies and Cream gelato along with a Strawberry and Banana Nutella Crepe. The gelato was very reminiscent of cookies and cream flavor and tasted so delicious. Decided to try some ice cream and they mentioned they have dairy free options so obviously had to try it! They have a decent amount of ice cream flavors, not too many dairy free. The reviews aren't very good, but I thought the ice cream was pretty good. We decided to try a dairy free chocolate fudge. A lot of times dairy free chocolate ice cream tastes watered down, but this one was pretty creamy and had some nice chunks of chocolate. It was very refreshing on a summer day. First time coming - very unassuming hidden gem tucked away in historic old Roslyn. We did not expect to be so blown away by the old fashioned kind service. As for the crepes - I ordered the savory crepe - basil, tomato, mozzarella. It was incredibly fresh - the crepes were reminiscent of the ones we recently had in Paris and the tomatoes and basil tasted home grown as they were teeming with flavor. The sweet crepe my husband ordered was Nutella and fresh strawberries generally doused with whipped cream - we devoured everything and left no crumbs. We also appreciated how one of the owners somehow knew we were newbies and welcomed us to his establishment. Very sorry that my cell phone pix don't do it justice. Luckily this yolo is actually an abbreviation for "yogurt love," and if you love fro-yo, yolo is the place to go, yo. Located in the heart of Roslyn Village, Yolo is right across the street from a mini municipal parking lot. We had some trouble getting a spot in the lot on a Saturday night, but luckily the nearby bank had tons of spots available. Yolo is a colorful, whimsical restaurant that serves Fro-yo, gelato, and crepes. There's outside seating, but the weather wasn't cooperating. They do fro-yo milkshakes and fancy coffees as well. I was babysitting on my visit, and the kiddos were instructed to each get one small fro-yo and were allowed 2 toppings each. I got distracted at the gelato selection and forgot about fro-yo (and the kids...). I was lucky enough to get a sample of the birthday cake gelato. It had white rainbow cake and rainbow sprinkles mixed in. No other flavor stood a chance. While pretending to debate whether I wanted gelato or not, one of the kids got apple pie fro yo. Other flavor options were Georgia peach, vanilla, chocolate, coconut, and birthday cake. There were definitely at least 5 others. The toppings bar had a lot of options. There were the standards like Oreo and rainbow sprinkles and graham crackers and cherries, and then some unusual ones like rainbow cake, pineapple, and Halloween sprinkles. The kids loved Yolo's "magic spoons," color-changing, temperature-sensitive spoons that changed from blue to purple. The fro-yo is billed by the ounce. The boys placed their cups on the scale. My gelato had a set price. I didn't look at the menu, so I'm not sure how the rest of the pricing works. I find myself in the Roslyn-y area pretty frequently for babysitting gigs and because my boyfriend lives close by. Roslyn village is gorgeous in the summer, and I think taking fro-yo to go and eating it by the lake at Gerry Park while watching the village lights twinkle would be an amazing date. Last week, my friend and I wanted dessert after grocery shopping mid-afternoon. I wasn't sure if this place was open so I called ahead and confirmed. I hung up early because voicemail told the hours but I got a call back from the When we arrived and ordered outside from the side window, I asked for samples and the cashier replied, "Are you kidding me?" I was confused and taken aback. What froyo/gelato place doesn't give samples? Maybe I was rude on the phone, maybe it's store policy to never allow samples, or maybe its precautionary due to COVID-19. It was a bit too chilly outside to bother for an explanation so I guessed my two favorite flavors - pistachio gelato and caramel crunch gelato. -Pistachio tasted good. I think it was cutting corners because I tasted supermarket pistachio flavor behind pistachio nuttiness. -Caramel crunch was also good. I'd prefer more texture and bitterness but it rounds out with nice crunches. I later realized maybe I should've tried froyo instead. Gelato was good though. read more

Love the options here, and I like the fact they have an Only8 selection which is a brand that serves flavors for supposedly eight calories per oz. the warmed up hot sauces are genius, and the cup divider is great for couples who share! Would love to try the yogurt shakes they have, especially the peanut butter banana one, and the crepes too. They have a variety, such as cookie butter, pb&j, etc. and you can add a scoop of gelato or froyo. The gelato looks pretty delicious as well. They post their selection on Facebook and update it on their website which is super convenient. I tried the Only8 mocha and the peanut butter froyo, and I loved them both. My boyfriend loved his açaí and the fact he got to choose his toppings but thought it was quite expensive. It is quite pricy but it's good for a once in a while treat. Came in here for dessert and was not sure if I was gonna like these famous yogurt crepes. The wide range of options for crepes captured my attention and the owner was friendly and willing to help me and my girlfriend with our selection of desserts. I got the Nutella Oreo shake it was fairly good the only real problem I had was that I don't think it should have been charged at 7.50$. Although, it was a large size I can get a larger size for way cheaper and any diner or fast food restaurant. My girlfriend got the strawberry chocolate crepe and was very pleased with the quality of the crepe and the taste which reminded her of crepes her grandpa used to make. My family and I are longtime patrons of Yolo. Their desserts are delicious and they've done a good job at making us feel safe during Covid. This evening they lost me as a customer. After spending over $50 on ice cream I asked to use the bathroom. I am 9 months pregnant. I didn't post a poor review but instead reached out to the owners. They stood their ground and attributed this to Covid. Masks are no longer a requirement and yet allowing a very visible pregnant patron to use the bathroom was considered to the owners to be a safety measure. I am a Mom, community member and physician. I care about Covid precautions as well as small business owners. This was a terrible way to conduct business and we will not be returning. read more

The frozen yogurt was great - nice selection of flavors that were delicious, and the cup dividers to allow for multiple flavors was game changing. The biggest downside, though, which will keep me from coming back for the foreseeable future, is the approach to toppings given COVID. The logic is actually sound and appreciated - pre-packaged toppings that you add to your topping after purchase, but that makes the experience cost prohibitive. In addition to paying for the weight of the topping containers you are getting (they're of substantial weight), it also means getting a ton of each topping when my approach to froyo is typically a little of many toppings. I have enough chocolate crunchies to last me a lifetime based on my visit! ultimately, I had to stick to two toppings otherwise it would have been far excessive in price and quantity - perhaps smaller containers of toppings (like those you'd get oregano in at a pizza place) would be a good way to solve the issue of COVID while still allowing for the typical frozen yogurt experience. read more
