They were really great and making sure that they did not serve me anything I was allergic to. Pepper, black and white and Ginger. In the past the Yomama Sushi used to be my favorite place to get sushi and that was my mom and I's favorite place to go when my dad was out of town. So when my friend and I stumbled upon another location in Camarillo, I was beyond excited! However it did look like it was a smaller facility so I tried to hold from comparing it to the Thousand Oaks location. Despite being a smaller facility, the service here exceeded my expectations! First off it was relatively slow when we came in, only one couple and another family with their kids. Which was nice for us because it was relatively quite. The waitress seated us at a half booth half chair table and one of the first things I had noticed was that all the chairs in the restaurant had tennis balls on the legs so that there wouldn't be any screeching noise when you pulled the chair back. This was funny to me cause this reminded of elementary school and how they use to do this trick (however all the kids used to take them off and play catch with them haha). My friend and I had just come from another restaurant which was good but unfortunately had still left us starving. The Waitress was very attentive and we put our order in right away. Within a few minutes she had brought a nice little complimentary salads for my friend and I, which was an unexpected surprise!. It only took what I estimate was about ten minutes before she was back again with all of food. My friend and I had ordered Masago with a Quail Egg on top, a Spicy Tuna roll, Spicy Salmon roll, the Dave Roll, and the Philly roll. The total bill ended up being about 30 dollars. We had noticed that instead of the Dave roll they had accidentally made a similar but different one, and they apologized, gave us that roll on the house, and within 5 minutes they came back with the correct roll for us! I would have been fine with just taking the other roll but how they handled it was excellent and displayed great customer service. The food was delicious and excellently prepared. The size and amount of the sushi are very good and the price of rolls is relatively cheap (ex. there are quite a few simple rolls that are only $3.95). As a suggestion I would get the CJ roll, it is a bit pricey at around $16 but it is definitely one of the more interesting rolls that are available around the area! Mainly because they add a small slice of orange onto the sushi! All in all, The customer service was excellent, Staff if very friendly and attentive, atmosphere is nice, and I'm definitely a sushi restaurant to check out if you are in Camarillo. Also, In is conveniently located next to the Movie Theater so you can catch a movie while you're there! read more

I picked up dinner, so I can't speak to the hospitality or dining experience. I ordered the Caterpillar roll and the Omega roll. The Caterpillar roll was fine, though the rice was pretty sodden with eel sauce and there was a very strong sweet flavor that I found off-putting (and I normally love anything with eel in it!). The Omega roll, though, was really not good. Partly, this was because it contains cream cheese, which was not listed on the menu and so was an unfortunate surprise. The rice was also very sodden with whichever sauce they used. I ended up just eating the salmon off the top, which didn't taste all that fresh. I hate to leave a poor review for a place, but all the recent reviews seem to be pretty strong, so just a heads up that this might not be the place for you if you've gotten spoiled on really good sushi like I have in the past.
