TL;DR - I saw Dr. Park twice a week for four months on my TMJ. Since seeing her, my jaw/face looks more symmetrical, and I am no longer in terrible pain. I yawned one evening and dislocated my jaw. It was so painful I was struggling to eat and talk. I ended up going to the Emergency Room to see if they could pop it back into place. Long story short, the answer was no and I was recommended to see an oral surgeon. The oral surgeon wasn't able to relieve any pain so I reached out to a dentist friend for advice. He recommended seeing a chiropractor that has experience with TMJ patients. I found Dr. Park on Yelp, called and was able to make an appointment that week for an x-ray/consultation. My spine, neck and pelvic were misaligned (I had terrible posture) which compounded my TMJ issues and led to my jaw and teeth misalignment. My jaw was always slightly longer on one side. I always assumed it was the fact that everyone is a bit asymmetrical, but I later learned it was a tell-tale sign of TMJ. I felt immediate relief after my first adjustment and then agreed to see her twice a week for four months. Before this point, I had never seen a chiropractor. The first few adjustments were a bit traumatic because I didn't know what to expect. At times my neck would be swollen for a couple of days as my body was adjusting to the new positioning. When I walked into Dr. Park's office I was healing from a car accident and experiencing lower back and neck pain and spasms. I have 2 bulging discs in my C4, C5, herniated L5/S1 and my C1 was shifted out of place. She did what my general chiropractor was unable to do. After every session my symptoms of night time pain and occipital spasms improved, my posture improved immensely and I began to live without pain again. Seeing Dr. Park has nearly changed my life. You can't get her treatments until you get an x-ray, which in my opinion, is super professional due to the fact that you can see with your own eyes the real issue. For context, I came in about 5 weeks ago unable to sit or walk due to severe lower back pain.. and she was the only place I called that would accept me so quickly for an appointment. The x-rays proved that I had untreated scoliosis that was causing me recurring pain throughout the years. Previously, I was seeing a chiropractic doctor on O'ahu for over a year, and it turns out that entire time I was improperly diagnosed, due to the fact that my old doctor never insisted I needed x-rays. Luckily, my case of scoliosis is able to be treated by her adjustments, and I still have ways to go. My injury happened 4-5 years ago and since then I'm super careful on what workouts I do with proper warmups and stretches, ergonomics chair, you name it. I try to go to a chiropractor once a month. Yet, my sciatica will still flare up once or twice a year. This past flare up, I couldn't get out of bed, couldnt lean forward, and had a constant dull pain right above my left cheek. My old chiropractor (in the area) wasnt fixing the issue and neither was my physical therapist. In early 2022 I slipped and sustained a neck injury. I started going to a chiropractor and began getting better but I ended up aggravating it again. To start the year I was in so much pain I couldn't move or turn my neck and I could barely sleep or do even the most mundane tasks. You can't get her service, if you do not take x-rays, which made me think that she's very professional and knows her practice well. I went to her clinic after herniating my disk, and my pain traveling through my entire right leg. After taking some x-rays, she walked me through my problems such as having straight neck symptom, having a minor scoliosis, etc. After two sessions, my back pain didn't go way (of course); however, my migraine magically disappeared! I suffered from daily migraines since high school and never found a solution to cure it until I went to Yonsei Chiro!! My back finally feels better after visiting her twice a week for about 4 months. This review is based on a first consultation/adjustment. I was so excited to finally make a chiropractic appointment and after reading such positive reviews I would say that I had somewhat high expectations for Yonsei and Dr. Park. However, my experience was incredibly disappointing. After filling out the intake paperwork, I went in for my consultation with Dr. Park where I explained to her that I believed my back was out of alignment. We went into the x-ray room and took a ton of x-rays from different angles. Afterwards, I was brought into another room where I had to wait as Dr. Park divided her attention between me and another patient. It was a bit frustrating to pay for an appointment and have the doctor split their attention like that. The other patient and I kept having to get up and switch places - it felt a bit like I was crashing somebody else's appointment vice versa. After awhile, Dr. Park showed me the x-rays we had taken. She explained that my vertebrae were out of alignment, exactly as I had suspected. Over an hour into the visit, I was starting to get a little bit antsy to actually begin the adjustment. Dr. Park had me lay down and proceeded to adjust me for a whopping 4 minutes or so. Nothing that she did felt any more relieving than the feeling of cracking my own neck or back. After that she promptly told me that we were done. By this point, it set in that I was not going to be leaving there with any of the physical relief that I had hoped. At the desk Dr. Park informed me that her recommendation was for me to come back to see her 2 times a week for next 12 weeks at $70 a visit. I spoke with a friend who has a lot of experience with chiropractors and they were very confused when I described my visit. They had never left a chiropractic appointment without any sense of relief whatsoever. I'm sure that Dr. Park is a fine chiropractor if you are willing to visit as frequently as she recommends, however I don't think that she is the chiropractor for my needs. I felt that I should leave this review as my experience seemed so different than all of the glowing reviews that enticed me to this place in the first place. read more

I had started visiting Dr. Park due to extreme lower back pain. It turned out that I had a case of scoliosis and was at risk of herniated discs. Given the severity of my condition, I knew that it wasn't going to be a quick fix, and in fact it didn't feel like I was getting any better even after a few weeks of treatment. But you have to keep in mind that your spine takes time to get adjusted back to normal and there is a reason why the doctor recommends 12+ weeks of treatment. 3 weeks ago (beginning of September 2021) I woke up to the most severe sciatica and back pain I've ever felt. I could barely walk and barely breathe without pain. I had consulted a family friend about my pain which began about 2.5 months prior to this. I took a brain CT scan and visited a neurologist, but they said there was nothing wrong. They recommended botox treatment for tension headaches and priscribed migraine medicine and muscle relaxants.
