    Red bean bread

Tried their cake slices (about $5-$6) and both were really good!! We got the Mango fruit cake and Pistachio Black Sesame. The mango cream was delicious and had strawberries, mango, and grape! The black sesame was unique and also delicious! I couldn't really taste any pistachio. Would def get more cake slices again!

My husband brought me home a sweet treat after a hard day from Yoon'd and it was so yummy. I enjoyed the strawberry chocolate layer cake, it was the perfect blend of flavors and cake was moist. We also tried the mocha bun and banana creme donut. The mocha bun could have used more filling.

Black Seasame Cream filled bread with bean paste 5 stars are really creamy. I could do with a little more black sesame flavor, though.

I tried several of Yoon's bakes today and they were all good. Cream filled bread (black sesame and bean paste) - soft and buttery, I wish there was more black sesame flavor. Taro cake - light and airy genoise sponge. Equal parts cream to cake, not too sweet. Ham and egg bread - it had the same buttery bread as many of their other treats. The ham had a good flavor and it was topped with egg salad. It was alright. Curry thingy - Looks like potato onion carrots maybe a little egg inside. The bread is like a brioche with loads of crunchies stuck to it. I put it in the toaster oven for 5 mins Cheesecake - delicious and not too sweet. It has a flakey texture when you put your fork into it but creamy on the tongue. Cake on the bottom. Overall, I probably wouldn't choose it over some of their other more unique bakes.

Breads were very fresh and moist with delicious fillings. The lady at the register graciously grabbed us a sesame bun from the back as it was not yet displayed. Visited 7/19/25

I realized I hadn't been inside Yoon's for quite a while when I walked in and didn't recognize most of the set up! (the last few years when I've gotten a craving for Yoon's delicious goods I've ordered through delivery). It was a pleasant upgrade and they definitely changed for the better. The space is so bright and clean, fixtures are easy to maneuver. They have bigger, easier to read menu for their offerings like beverages, shaved ice, etc. There are now two coolers, one with grab and go packaged slices of cakes, cheesecake, and other items like tiramisu. And the other which is their previous cold case with full sized cakes and such. I came towards the end of the day on a Friday and though some of the shelves were empty (sold out for the day) they still had a ton to choose from. I got my usuals but also grabbed my husband a tiramisu and myself some basque cheesecake. As well as several pastries of course. Everything was just as good as I remember it being. Hands down one of my favorite places in Ann Arbor!

    Carmel latte and mango cake

Delicious bake goods and smooth coffee! Friendly staff. Will visit again and recommend to my friends.

    Sweet Potato Cream Cake

Actually such a good cake. I also got the black sesame and mango cake. The mango cake was really good but this one was phenomenal. You hardly tasted the sweet potato it was more just strawberries and cream but it was so so so good.

This is a Korean style bakery conveniently located across from the University of Michigan's North Campus in the same strip mall as Evergreen Restaurant, Midnight Karaoke, and Way 1 Chinese Supermarket. A lot of the pastries are too sweet for my taste, but there are a few excellent savory snacks. I come here to get the Salted Butter Roll Bread ($3.00). I also like the new item Ang Butter Bread with red bean and butter ($4.50). They've also recently introduced Baked Ham Cheese Toast ($5.50). The Salted Butter Roll Bread is my favorite and very addictive. It's like a heavier croissant that has been brushed with lots of salted butter before going into the oven. The prices are quite high. It's very easy to spend $30 or more for a handful of pastries. It's Ann Arbor though so that's to be expected. The more affordable Asian bakeries are on the other side of town in Madison Heights.

This place has the best Korean bread! They have a wide selection of Korean pastries and bread that do not disappoint. It is a cute little bakery with drinks as well. The service is also great!

Ask the Community - Yoon's Bakery

Does anyone know it has birthday cake?

I guess it depends on your definition of birthday cake. Yoon's bakery does not make and sell conventional cakes like what you would find at Sam's Club or at Costco. But they do have lots of tasty individual treats which you could gift for a…

To begin, let's start with the positive things; the ambience of the cafe was great, the pastries looked immaculate, and the employees were attentive and kind. That made the trip to the cafe worth it. But would I go out of my way to come back for another cinnamon pastry or pain au chocolat? The answer is yes, if a couple things were improved. The pastries themselves I found to be a bit dry, but they had decent flavor. The cakes/mini desserts were good, though personally I am not a big fan of cream, so they weren't my favorite. I asked for my pastry to be warmed, but when I got it was barely over room temperature. But the BREAD. The bread was DELICIOUS. It had a perfect bake and fluffiness, and it was bursting with flavor. I recommend the zaatar or leek and cheese loaf. Both were amazing. I could definitely eat an entire one The drinks are also great as well. We got a black coffee and iced matcha and both tasted good. Overall, if you are looking for a cafe/patisserie with amazing ambience, kind employees, decent pastries, adorable cakes, delicious bread, and great drinks, I would certainly recommend Cannelle to you.

What sets it apart for me is the variety of savory baked goods, which are often hard to find. Everything I've tried has been delicious, but the breakfast galette is hands-down my favorite. Additional plug for my favorite latte in Ann Arbor: Strider's vanilla ube which is served here :) The service is always fantastic -- warm, friendly, and impressively quick, even when they're busy. We've also had the chance to enjoy their weekend brunch, and it was just as wonderful. You can tell there's real care put into both the food and the overall experience. Highly recommend! One thing to note: the seating is very limited inside, but there are picnic tables with umbrellas outside or lots of neighborhoods to walk in on either side of the intersection.

I get their sandwiches are great and can sell out by 10:30-11, they're that good. After a while one would think they would be able to plan for the increased demand. Also, I came this morning at 7:40am, website says sandwiches available at 8:30am. So the store is open from 7:30-2, and they only have about a two hour window to get these breakfast sandwiches? The other annoying aspect is they rotate their baked items frequently so the items I really like such as the Ube coconut bun and other items are not always offered. You have to check their website a day before or on the day you want to go to plan what items are available. That being said if you have flexibility in your morning work schedule, still one of the better bakeries to go to. It's one of the few places I would like to go to more often, but often skip due to the strict hours of the breakfast sandwiches available and not always having the items I really like.

The only thing I wish, is that it was stroller friendly. It's mostly gravel so it's very inconvenient and probably damaging to the stroller. And there is a separate area by a lovely willow tree where you can get coffee, their home made root beer (will have to try that next time), and pastries. Now the pastries were AMAZING!!! I got their chocolate croissant and jalapeno popper croissant. Both were sooo delicious!! The chocolate croissant was very close to how Quebec makes them. It was soft and had the right amount of chocolate! The Jalapeno popper croissant filling was sooo unique and tasty!! I loved it! I will definitely be back! And a beautiful garden! There probably is even more, I didn't get to see everything since it was hard to navigate with the stroller. Will bring a carrier next time.
