    Turkey Club Onion Rings
    Emily L.

Ambiance is quaint. GREAT food, especially breakfast. I tried someone else's country fried steak- it's well battered and cooked. Tender beef. The gravy is perfect. Biscuits are also delicious- it's dense and chewy. Onion rings are yum- light crispy batter. Onion stays intact. Turkey club- standard but I loved it Will be back!

Cozy spot with a yummy breakfast selection! Saw good reviews and we were going to be in the area and gave it a try! It did not disappoint! Food: Pancake-very good! Nice and fluffy. Biscuits and gravy-delicious Biscuits-nice and fluffy Breakfast potatoes-love the flavor of them Western omelette-would have loved a little more cheese. The cheese ratio was off for me Coffee-good and plentiful. Service- Eileen was friendly and attentive. She made sure our coffee cups were never empty. Ambiance: Not overly large inside with a small area with a few seats as well as a few booths but mostly tables and chairs for guests. Very cute wallpaper on one side and the tables are set-up with everything you need for breakfast.

Went here for the 1st time To be honest my only complaint were the biscuits Sadly I feel like the biscuits were missing something - kind of bland Everything else was tasty - loved the home fries The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly

This is actually a 4.5 review. Had a great experience. The restaurant reminded me of a diner / family restaurant. Service was great. Very friendly folks, very welcoming. I had the gave the beef fried steak. Came with two eggs (mine were over easy), hash browns and two biscuits. Smothered in sausage gravy. Also had pancakes with eggs and sausage. Had coffee, iced tea and coke zero. We also had coconut cream pie for dessert. The atmosphere was very comfortable and inviting. Great prices for whst we ordered. Very extensive menu. Definitely coming back to try other items on the menu.

Yorkshire Restaurant is a true old-school diner and a Manassas classic. Terri was quick, friendly, and kept the coffee and food coming without missing a beat. Breakfast was excellent--especially the corned beef hash, which was absolutely top-notch. Cozy Civil War-era atmosphere with a legit dive feel, great portions, and prices you can't beat ($10-$15). Easily one of the best breakfast spots around.

Did take out and the items arrived fresh. The home fries are pretty good as well. Everything packed well and just a pretty good place to get breakfast.

Fish & Chips, with onion rings
    Nikk M.

Do not get the "Fish & Chips". Good lord, that shit was depressing. The food was literally all mush.. It was exactly the same shape, consistency and taste that you'd expect to come from a big box item thrown into the microwave for 5 minutes then slapped on a plate. For the price, I expected more. They're charging the same price for this as the REAL fish places like Captain D's, Long John Silvers, Louisiana Cafe, Sam's Southern Eatery, Skrimp Shack, and Long Time No Sea, are charging for their fish meals, with no where near the same quality! I wish I had a camera running for the moment that I opened the box and was greeted with pure disappointment - my face must have absolutely dropped from pure joy to absolute dejection. The fish on the bottom was smashed in half and split open and mushed everywhere, and the fish on top looked like a mass-produced brick - and something you'd eat if you were on a $3 food budget for the week. ...And you only get TWO pieces..?? Really?! ..They're charging you $20 for this meal, keep in mind. The fries were thin cut, floppy and cold. The onion rings were okay - some of the onions inside were super thin and fried to a crisp, while other onion rings were thick and as floppy as a wet piece of spaghetti - pretty bad texture. I've been to this place quite a few times before for breakfast, and usually they're pretty good.. But this experience was dismal. Their website says "Each dish is a testament to our commitment to health and flavor, prepared daily the moment you order it." ....Yeaaaah.. RIGHT... I highly doubt it. Not in MY experience, clearly! Strive to do better.

    Combination Breakfast
    Chhann S.

A Local Family Friendly Landmark in northern Va for over 30 years! The breakfast combination with pancakes & bacon and eggs was favorable and well portioned. The buttery pancakes melts in your mouth, the bacon was crisp and delicious, the eggs scrambled & flavored to perfection & the cottage cheese was great ( ordered one but got two ). The chocolate milk not pictured Completed this meal well. The chicken tenders meal was freshly made ( seasoned and fried to order) and the sauce was light and complimented well. Overall a great experience and looking forward to trying their many other dishes in the future.

Yorkshire is a solid dinner, with nice staff and solid truly homemade food. This place feels like a Midwest dinner and is definitely a greasy spoon type place, but executed perfectly. They have a huge menu and we have tried a variety of options. I would recommend giving them a try. This place is always busy, so you know it's good.

I had no idea that they offered a small bowl of complementary ceviche, which is actually really good. Like, so good, that I'm going to have to go back just to get that. The queso was also good. It was the standard white queso that I commonly associate with the Midwest because for the longest I couldn't get it on the East Coast, but it's not queso fundido. They offer Coke from a fountain, which is a huge plus. And the salsa was really good. The chips and salsa were free, so they absolutely get bonus points for that. It was a random Saturday evening when I came in, and they were setting up for what looked like live music and a fun night. The service was really good and parking was easy since it's in a plaza. I would highly recommend this place. They were fast and super sweet.

We could say that the seafood was fresh - no funny smells and the food was prepared well. The prices were reasonable. We would love to go back for when we are craving for seafood.

One…read morething I wasn't a fan of was the graffiti on the doors and walls - It just feels like vandalism that the owners didn't care to clean up! Not sure if this is part of the chain's aesthetic, and if it's like this at every location or not... It was even in the bathroom, and clearly people took it too far, because next to the only urinal was a giant "F*** YOU", and it was crossed out by one big line, and not at all removed or attempted to be removed. To me it just seems too chaotic and encourages deviant behavior... This is not somewhere that I would bring my kids or family members, because of stuff like that. The food was ready when I got there, but I still had to stand around for a few minutes before someone finally came along and handed my order to me. I got the Catfish Basket with onion rings. It was about $16. I took the meal home and surprisingly the food was still piping hot when I sat down to eat it. The fish was excellent. There is the comment being made that the food is 'greasy', but I mean, it's fish - and it's fried... what do you expect? ...So, yes, the food was greasy, but that's part of the joy to it. If you want to eat healthy, go to Wegmans or Kroger. The fish was excellent. The breading was crunchy. The fish was soft and tender. No odor. Great seasoning - not too much, not too little. Not spicy at all (trust me, I'd be the first to tell you!) The onion rings were a bit on the less crispy side, not quite soggy, but still delicious none the less. The inner breading was just a bit spongy. They aren't like Outback's fried to a crisp onion rings/petals. The bag contained two moist towelettes and a pair of food grade disposable gloves, for those who indulge in the messiest of foods from here - not for simple fish. Also, when at the counter they wanted to know if I wanted any sauces. I did not, but I appreciated the gesture. I was happy with my service here and with the food overall. The restaurants appeal and decor gets a 5/10, because while the decor was nice and the wood facade of the furniture and structure were great, they were caked in a myriad of profanity and anarchy, as mentioned before about the graffiti-like markings. The food gets a 9/10, while it did have minor issues, it was overall an amazing lunch! The staff gets a 9.5/10 as well - While I was acknowledge once by a passing staff member running food to a table, I still had to wait a little while to be serviced, at the busiest time of day. I appreciate their time and efforts.

I had the Cedar Plank Salmon, which was moist and well complimented by the red pepper coulis. My wife ordered the Cilantro Lime Roasted Grouper. The lime from the compound butter was fantastic, though if I were to criticize there was too much jasmine rice. The carrots were also amazing. We started with the excellent clam chowder. It's a little thinner than a traditional New England chowder, but much more flavorful. We saved room for dessert and loved the key lime pie. We had our eyes on the pumpkin bread pudding, but they had unfortunately run out (maybe next time!). A huge shoutout to our bartender, Jesica. She whipped up an Old Fashioned based specifically on my flavor profile requests, and it was spot on. She made excellent recommendations throughout our meal, as well. Service at the bar was really fantastic. The only downside to the evening was our seating; we were at the bar right by the door. It got a little drafty and we caught some cigarette smoke whenever the door opened. Not a dealbreaker, but we'll definitely look to sit further inside next time. We will be back!"

We started with spinach artichoke dip that was flavorless beyond the massive slab of cheese on top. The rest of it was so runny you couldn't even get it onto a chip. My wife's bean soup was ok, other than it had beef stock in it when they initially said it didn't. My pork was edible. Just. It was massively overcooked and too salty, but it wasn't so off putting as to be inedible. But the refried beans were among the worst I've had. I say among the worse in case I can't remember worse. But I can't remember worse. The beans were so dry they would break into clumps when trying to eat them. And the flavor wasn't great on top of that. One other note -- among the stranger menus I've seen. I probably should have checked more carefully before giving this place a try.

We loved that they were flying the Sri Lankan and US flags out front, it helped us find it in the strip mall. :) We wanted to try a few of my favorites -- string hoppers, hoppers, chicken kotthu, chicken curry and masala vadai (lentil fritter appetizer). None of it disappointed! My husband and daughter both loved the masala vadai, hoppers and chicken curry. We all enjoyed the real Sri Lankan drinks they had -- Dilmah brand! -- and sodas. It'd be great to add beer to the menu, my guess is they're waiting on the ABC license (there appears to be a bar ready to be stocked!). If you've never had Sri Lankan before, the staff is friendly and willing to field questions and give recommendations. It's always a little hard to describe Sri Lankan food -- but after growing up in Southeast Asia and spending time in India, I describe it as the missing link between the two -- which geographically makes sense! More coconut than Indian, and different spice combos than Indonesian/Thai. It's incredible unique and super tasty! Their menu also has pretty lengthy descriptions, which help you decide. I also loved the Sri Lankan pride on display -- cards on the table with different explanations of locations, etc; placemats with photos of its amazing nature and a TV playing scenes of the greatest hits of Sri Lankan tourism.

There used to be a similarly named Sri Lankan restaurant in DC proper, but since it closed I don't know where else you'd go for this cuisine. They had a tourism channel playing in the background, which was rather propagandistic but did have some interesting information about this distinctive island country. The cuisine is definitely distinctive; it is different than any Indian restaurant you'd try. Notably, it is not as vegetarian-friendly as a lot of Indian places, but there were still interesting things to try. I sampled a dish of stir-fried string hoppers (ultra-thin rice noodles) with shredded vegetables to match. It came with a mouthwatering spice mix and although I ordered it unsure if I would finish it, I did, aided by an accompanying chili paste. A vegetable soup was likewise tasty, and among their appetizer selections was a set of fantastic lentil fritters, which should be tried. The place could have been cleaner, and notably this cuisine is brightly colored and will stain a white table cloth pretty easily. I hope they do well and expand their menu offerings, and I was happy to have tried it.
