The last time I was in the area, this place was still under construction. I was back there a couple weeks ago, it was open, so I decided to give it a try. Had their daily special, which was the chicken kabob plate for $9.99. I believe the regular price is $15.99. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of food for the money. Two skewers full of chicken, rice, salad, Greek potatoes & garlic bread. Overall, I enjoyed my lunch. The chicken was a bit dry but still had good flavor. The sides were all pretty good as well. They have different all-day specials on Monday - Thursday. I would go back for this deal.

I tried to enjoy the two dog special, but, alas!

Food prep at this location has bottomed out over time. How can you screw up a Chicago dog so badly, that it becomes sadness itself, to just try a bite. Bun was hard. Like, out of a package that had been open overnight, and then, entirely missed the steam. Condiments seemed randomly slathered on. Tomato had an odd chemical taste. Fries were undercooked and cold! No napkins in bag, yet a fork and a knife? How far you've strayed, Yorky's. Not to mention a price point that will cause anyone a double- take. Adiós Yorky's!

Made my way in on a Thursday night and it was packed. I once had a chili cheese dog at their original restaurant. I hadn't had one in a very long time, unless you count the cheese coneys when I recently visited Cincinnati. These are nothing like those. Chili has beans and they use pump cheese. It was a sloppy mess and not a huge fan of the chili. They give you a mound of fries and just had to get a cup of cheese for them. They have Pepsi products and brewed ice tea. I'll have to explore more of their extensive menu. They really did a nice job on the remodel and they have a staff member on the floor picking up the dishes. It's kept very clean.

We finally made it - why did it take us so long?? The staff was patient, while we looked over the large menu.. so many great choices. I settled on the steak kabobs dinner - fantastic! The steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly.. the rice, potatoes and salad.. everything was seasoned very well. My husband ordered the Tilapia Dinner - which was also delicious, (I always try his food) the tilapia was served with the same sides and paired well. The dining area was cute.. plenty of space. We will be back!

Gyros Sandwich on French bread with Greek potato's

Good quality fast food. Growing up my father had a gyros restaurant in Arlington Heights for 30 years where I often worked . This is the closest I have come to his quality. It is always charred nicely and not undercooked like most places. They give you a healthy serving of gyros meat. I asked them to make my gyros on French bread like I used to do at dad's restaurant and they accommodated no problem. I asked for Greek potatoes instead of fries and got eight half pieces of potato. I've been here at the new location five times and each time was a good value for the dollar. The food is fresh and made with care. Service was fast and pleasant.

Love that they opened a new branch here in Elmhurst, right by Route 83 and St. Charles Road! We usually go to the Yorkys on York Road, and we've always been fans of their broasted chicken and shrimp. Such a great spot to dine in--we'll definitely be back to try this new location again!

Value (B) It is a bit pricey but not too bad around $35/person for lunch for 2 and an appetizer. They have a small plates menu which might be the lunch menu. Service (A) Excellent friendly and polite service. Got the food out fairly fast. And waitstaff was super nice and respectful. Even packed up the leftovers- did a great job Food (A-) I got the combination plate and it tasted exactly how it did 20 years ago. This is both a positive and a negative. Taste was excellent - especially the lamb, meatballs and sauce over the rice and dolmas. Great portion size also. Will get stuff. Came with potatoes and veggies. On the negative it tasted very heavy. I was expecting it to be "lighter". Not sure I am describing it correctly. I am going to order it again as it's excellent but I think I am eating a ton of butter and or oil. Maybe I am not but something gave it the heavy feel. Also with bread service - I appreciate they provide it but feels very 90s. Thr bread was okay and the butter was the small little packages of butter. So I really do like this place and am being overly critical so I would strongly recommend going for a safe bet Greek place. My recommendations for them 1. Too many options on the menu - need to skinny it down 2. Higher quality bread and butter 3. An actual simple lunch menu. Would have loved a combination plate lunch portion for $16.99 vs a dinner portion at $25.99

However, since this Lombard location opened, I think at least a decade ago we've definitely been coming here consistently. Even though I don't put a review of every single time I visit. However, my last review of this place was over four years ago, so I thought it was about time to update this. I still give it a solid four stars because this place is key and king on consistency. If there's one thing you can rely on here is that that same recipe from 10 years ago or 30 years ago is still the same good recipe today. And that is absolutely fantastic. I do believe the portions have gotten slightly smaller over the years and obviously prices have gone up, but this is to be expected. The only downfall of this location is that they never take reservations that if you come during peak hours, you better expect to wait even over and up to an hour. Something else that I've seen really evolved at this place is that when they originally first opened, including the Greektown location, all servers, including bus, boys, etc., were all Greek that has definitely changed now over the years The parking lot here is still very generous however during peak times beware it will be hard to find the parking space and there is no valet. Well, consistency is fantastic. I do wish they had expanded the menu to make lokoumades dessert. It's one of my favorites and they still don't offer it.

Naxos has a pretty big menu but is still limited in some things. A lot of it is meaty including fish. There's few choices for vegetarians but they have salad at least. Coming in here it looks a lot fancier than the places around it. It's actually still pretty casual and there's okay prices. There's a bar at the front and that's where we sat. Good stuff as far as alcohol. It's about $7 for the House Red Wine. A good one. It's about $11 for the Athenian Salad. This is pretty much like a Greek Salad. Okay but basic. The rest of the menu has classics like moussaka and spanakopita among lots of things you can get. Good enough that maybe we could go here again. It's located on Irving Park at Rohlwing. The Fried Eggplant is among the few things for vegetarians.

I ordered two half trays each of their Greek potatoes and Greek rice, along with pita and tzatziki sauce. Everything was ready right on time and tasted incredibly fresh. My only regret was ordering half trays instead of full trays because it disappeared fast! Fantastic food, great service, and they really helped me out in a pinch. Easy 5 stars.
