It was our grandma's birthday and thought of bringing her somewhere but plans changed. Instead of eating out, we just ordered from here as a takeout. It was a cute little place and a nice bar when I picked up the food. It was just starting to get busy. The service was fast and the staff were nice. We got the Ramen, Agedashi tofu, beef teriyaki plate, chicken teriyaki plate, chicken karraage and hotel California roll. I forgot to take pictures. Sorry. I tasted everything so how long how they were. The beef teriyaki plate and Hotel California roll were good. But they could improve on the teriyaki for me. They need to put more sauce. My husband got the chicken teriyaki and that's what he said lol The Ramen was also good. I love their to go bowl, cause the broth was actually separated from the noodles. There was a divider, and it was my first time seeing this time of bowl for takeout . It's really a brilliant idea. However, the karaage was too dry for me. They looked and tasted overcooked. Anyways, the price is reasonable and the parking is good as well. Plenty of space. 3.5 stars for me.

Great food! Wonderful service. Nice atmosphere. We enjoy every time we go. Love the food.

Love having a spot where I can get a solid chirashi don. The sashimi slices were fresh and literally melted in the mouth. The ratio of sashimi to sushi rice is also very good. Service was also on point, and my food came out with little to no wait. Plenty of parking around the restaurant, and I literally didn't have to wait for a parking spot. Definitely would go back!

My new favorite sushi spot! If you're a salmon lover like me they have so many good options for you!! My favorite had to be either the mango crunch roll or the salmon skin roll. Next time I will be trying that salmon lovers roll! I also really liked their garlic edamame, it was almost buttery. I also really appreciated the servers there since they provided great service. And honestly really talking to get to know you. Inside is a little small so I don't recommend coming in with a party of 6+. But overall one of my new favorite sushi spots!

Kinda strange to order online when you're sitting at a table but it works. It was pretty yummy we tried quite a few rolls. I don't remember which was which but they were all pretty good. Pricing was good it was very clean especially the bathrooms. Just wish the fresh were a little colder maybe or more fresh? But still great

I could honestly eat sushi for every meal, and Yoshi Sushi in Milpitas makes that way too easy. Their late‑night happy hour is a daily temptation -- fresh cuts, generous portions, and flavors that hit every time. Everything comes out tasting clean, bright, and delicious, and the staff is always so friendly and welcoming. Whether it's a quick bite or a full spread, this spot never disappoints. A solid go‑to for late‑night sushi cravings.

This was recommended by a friend and I really liked it Menu is what you expect for a standard Bay area sushi place. The lunch special sushi are a great value for the basics. Did not try bento but it looked good. Exotic roll section was solid and diverse, lots of avocado inclusion as well which was unique Service was fast and direct. In some areas, you can see them actually making the sushi Ambiance is nice. Restaurant is well designed with chefs in the center, bar space on one side and tables on the other. Tables probably can't take over 6 people

    - Lots of parking available via a shared parking lot - Good for groups of all sizes (from one person to larger groups). Booths and high tables available - Good for kids as they have fish the kids can watch - Food was okay - obvious emphasis on the fusion as it was not Japanese at all - The restaurant wasn't too loud - we came at a good time when it was fairly quiet

I haven't been inside this restaurant myself, but I've ordered from them several times on DoorDash. I tried their Lion King Roll and Hotel California Roll, and both were absolutely delicious. Even though takeout doesn't have the same freshness as dining in, the sashimi was still tender, flavorful, and free of any fishy taste. The salmon's rich flavor combined with the chewy sushi rice completely satisfied my hunger for the whole day. The only downside is that it's a bit pricey, but the food is truly tasty and worth recommending!

Small place to dine in, but the service is fast and the sushi is delicious. It seemed pretty busy when i arrived with no reservation. I must have waited about 5 minutes or less for a booth table. You order by scanning a barcode on the table. I like this because you order the food yourself and the only wait is for the food to arrive. Then once you're done eating, you pay by scanning the barcode again or you can ask someone working there to bring you the bill. The sushi was very delicious. I finished two sushi rolls, could have went for a third roll, but it was getting late. I posted below my two favorite rolls. I definitely recommend trying this place out if you love sushi!

They put Berna in a corner and forgot about her. We are regulars at this place and were greeted nicely as we walked in. There was another group waiting before us so my husband and I placed our name on the waiting list. There was a two top open, but the server knew I would not be able to sit on the high chair since I am on a wheelchair. So we waited. We saw a booth getting cleaned and we got our hopes up! Twenty minutes of waiting and I can finally order my favorite Yoshi Special roll! A group of three just walked in, surely they would have to wait. But I was so, so wrong. We were on the other side of the sushi bar so my wheelchair would be out of the way, but I guess we were also out of sight. The newly arrived party was called first. The list was not checked. Before we left, my husband told the waiter to take our name off the list because our table was given away. The waiter just shrugged. No cares. No apologies. This is so disappointing as this is our regular sushi spot.

Decent sushi spot in Milpitas! Service was quick and they brought out our plates fast. This is it my go place but if you're looking for a quick snack this is it.

Sashimi Special and 49Er Roll. Roll was really good

Came in since it was close to our hotel, was a rainy night and didn't want to drive too far. Was seated quickly and our drink order taken. You scan the QR code and can order right in the app or order from the waiter. Since we were on 1 bill we decided it would be easier to order from the waiter than passing the phone around to order. We ordered 3 apps, baked mussels, shrimp tempura and chicken karaage. Waiter came back and took our sushi order, I had the sashimi special and the 49er roll. And that's where things went downhill. My colleagues ordered a roll each. We got the sashimi and the 2 rolls, then the 49er roll. He explained the apps were running behind because they had a large order from a delivery app. We were almost done with the sushi when the mussels came out, and completely done by the time the other 2 apps came out. Service was just ok, after the food came out was hard to get anyone's attention, would buzz right by while we sat with empty cups waiting for tea. Food was ok, 49er roll and shrimp tempura were stars of the show. Small inside with about 10 tables and a decent size sushi counter. Not bad but probably wouldn't go back.

The interior is beautiful, very Japanese-inspired with a clean mix of modern and rustic design elements. The menu is quite curated, featuring just a few options for main entrees and a select handful of appetizers. We arrived right at opening on a Tuesday night. We skipped the appetizers and were unfortunately told they were already out of Uni, meaning the Matsu bowl wasn't available. We both opted for the Take bowl instead. One major downside for me was the pricing. The bowls are already quite steep, so discovering that you have to pay an additional $4.50 just for the dashi broth felt a bit off-putting. Because of that, we chose to skip the broth altogether. As for the food, the bowl itself was flavorful and the portion size was decent. However, given the price and the massive reputation, it didn't quite meet my expectations and felt a bit underwhelming. I don't think I would return to this location, but it did make me want to travel to Japan to try the original version!

And if some changes are made, it may be better. We ordered the Tonkatsu Curry set, the Kirekatsu set, and the Udon w/ curry set. The commonality of the three dishes were the three huge "bricks" of tonkatsu. Though they were awesomely juicy and had a nice crunch to the coating, they lacked flavor. I believe this is due to the shear size of the tenderloin (each one would constitute one serving of meat.) Even with tonkatsu sauce (very sparsely drizzled), the flavor was lacking. I prefer the bite-sized cuts instead. Perhaps the most frustrating is the weight of each brick made it a challenge to hold with chopsticks (in all fairness, they did provide a fork . . .). And twice I dropped the brick into my bowl of udon, splashing the curry broth everywhere. Grrrrr! The curry had a spicy kick at the start, but then . . . Mixed feelings. Difficult to describe, but it seems that there was an emphasis more on the spiciness, but not much on flavor? For me, the blend was not balanced. That is what each of us felt. The curry sauce for the udon was nice, however and did not overpower the noodles. The highlights were the pickled carrots and scallion bulbs - outstanding! And they were my favorite item of the entire meal! Very crunchy and packed with flavor, the carrots were delicious, and the small scallion bulbs were crunchy and sweet (though a bit too sweet, in my opinion). These veggies are an effective, but effective palette cleanser. Second most-liked was the bowl of shredded cabbage. The sesame miso dressing was very tasty. With the huge amount of cabbage, the dressing was not nearly enough. I suggest cutting back on the amount of cabbage served and keep the amount of dressing as is. If the wait staff see an excessive amount of uneaten cabbage, that may be a sign to cut back on the serving size... The wait staff were friendly and attentive. Kudos here. It is strange that my accolades principally were of the condiments and the salad, and not of the main dishes. The word "proportion" may sum it up succinctly - make the tonkatsu smaller, cut back on the amount of cabbage in the side salad to better balance the dressing with the cabbage. I may come back to try the other offerings if I am in the area again.

A few friends and I was told of this all you can eat sushi place on Calaveras Boulevard closer to Highway 680. It's in a corner shopping center with Starbucks, a dim sum Chinese restaurant, Christie's donuts which is on the corner of Calaveras Boulevard and Park Victoria. First impression: It's clean and can certainly accommodate large parties as I have seen parties up to 20 people celebrating a birthday as well as tables and booths occupied by couples and small groups. It's a no nonsense ordering system that you have choices of regular menu or premium menu. Premium items are highlighted in red. The difference is only $5.00 so I suggest people get the premium menu so the entire menu is all offered. Honestly, I think I've been there about five times and right now, I think I have enjoyed 80% of the menu items right now. The staff are very swift and friendly. They even fill your water glasses constantly. I believe we can order three or four items at a time and I'm told at about 10 minute intervals. I remember a waitress said that they're not allowed to enter an order until 10 minutes have pashe'd, but that has never been a problem as by the time the first set of food arrives. you are enjoying the yummy plates/bowls as well the company of friends and/orfamily. Although it's all you can eat, I appreciate that the portions are not extremely large so you can order multiples and each time food comes out fresh, newly fried, newly baked, newly made or simply newly created. My favorites are the Age-dashintofu, salmon carpaccio, shrimp tempura, UnagI-Don, island hand roll, karage chicken, smoke salmon, veggie tempura, and many of the maki rolls. I have tasted and likely would not order the udon soup because it was extra salty. Also, I don't order steam rice as rice can be a stomach filler. (I'm ok with the rice from the rolls and unagi-Don mini bowls) However, the fried rice is pretty good, but have to add a few drops of soy sauce. My friends who loves seafood, love the grilled mackerel (saba shioyaki) baked mussels and fried softshell crab, as well as squid and mushroom mini salad and maki rolls such as Godzilla roll, double salmon roll, crunch roll, dynamite roll, Milpitas roll plus a dozen more. The simple, no nonsense dessert of mochi ice cream is the perfect ending. It's usually a choice between green tea Mochi ice cream scoop and mango Moch ice cream scoop. They also offer sake, Japanese beer, Japanese soda, regular soda, as well as iced tea, lemonade, Arnold Palmers, and probably more I have not mentioned. I do wish they offer seasonal or special items (not on the menu), like mini ramen bowls or mini curry rice bowls. if specials are offered, it can be an extra menu card or staff can mention the specials when they take your order. Btw the QR code on table doesn't work, but that's fine with me bc I enjoy the interaction, plus I don't want to flip from eating then grabbing my cell phone to scroll. So far so good, everyone I have brought here or recommended to this place is/are happy and very pleased. Can't wait to go back to Okawa soon.

One thing I noticed was that they had a chef's choice sashimi option on the menu, but it was not available on the app, so you have to order that directly through the waiter. The waiters were attentive and we were able to flag them down when we had questions. Overall, I thought the fish was pretty fresh. Compared to some other newer all you can eat sushi spots, the rice portions were a bit larger, but I still enjoyed the meal. I just wish they had scallops on the menu.
