Solid Korean food! I like that you order straight from an iPad at the table, especially since they include photos of all the dishes. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience seamless and enjoyable.

Came in a Sunday for lunch, not busy at all, but in this plaza there is so many places to chose from, decisions decisions The food is a little pricy to me, compared to the serving portions. Lots of parking & they do have great customer service.

Food is pretty good. I forgot the name of the dish I got. But it's a soup with some noodles and beef slices. It came with rice. I like the way they serve their rice. The pot keeps it warm and the texture is perfect. Soup was flavorful. I had to add salt and pepper on my own so I can adjust to my own preference. Staff was friendly. She kept checking on us to make sure we had enough side dishes. The restaurant is pretty spacious with big tables. Prefect for family dinner or gathering. 10/10 will come back.

Decided to try this place after passing by multiple times. Went with a friend for a Saturday lunch and there was only one other party dining. After trying the food, I definitely think they deserve more business. They offer raw marinated crab as part of their banchan, which is something I haven't seen before. Everything I tried was above average I would say. Seolleongtang was very rich, and the beef jeon had a good texture. My friend got a spicy beef tofu soup and it tasted very filling and perfect for a hangover. Nice auntie working front of house, prices are on par with other places. I believe it is a family run restaurant. Overall, seems like a place where you can order anything and you wouldn't go wrong. I look forward to coming back again.

My favorite thing here was the galbitang. I think everything else was okay. They gave crab for banchan which was nice. I think it's a cute mom and pop restaurant but I wouldn't come back. The flavor wasn't what I was used to for Korean food.

I would say out of all the Korean restaurants in the area, this one really stood out to me. Pricing, food quality, taste, service. All these combined have made this restaurant my new favorite in the bay. The spicy cold noodle was the best cold noodle I've had in the bay. The spicy pork was also thinly sliced and has so much good flavor to it. The sollemtang was fragrant, rich, and just very authentic. The best part?? It wasn't that expensive at all. They have this combo which is 1 cold noodle dish (spicy/non spicy) and 1 meat dish for just $40! And it was well enough to feed the both of us. We added the soup which was only $18. The banchan was also amazing. The glass noodle, kimchi all taste super fresh. The best part? They have spicy raw marinated crab for banchan!!! They even offer soy marinated crab starting at $30!!! I didn't check how many there is for one serving but I will definitely try that next time ago. The auntie who served us was very very nice too. She kept asking whether we needed more side dishes and proactively helped us with everything. This place is underrated!! We went on a Thursday night at 7 and it was completely empty. 10/10 and would definitely go again!!

Sides were good, and they even give you spicy crab claws for free. Tofu soup was great, had some zucchini and onions to make it a bit healthier.

My brother and I had lunch with our mom at Hanmaru Korean Cuisine, which is located in the City Square Center with Lion Market. It takes over where Jeonju used to be. It's closer to TP Tea, Yuan Bistro, McDonald's, etc. The parking is decent. Nice decor, simple and quiet ambience. Order via the table kiosk on each table. The service was sweet and super friendly. The lunch banchan was mostly the spicy kimchi dishes like the radish, cabbage, and mung bean sprouts. The marinated raw crab was good! Seafood Pancake: Savory pancake with mixed seafood, scallions, and vegetables, creating a harmonious blend of textures and flavors (4/5). Full of seafood, thought I wish it was crispy or crisper than it was. Japchae: Stir-fried glass noodles with beef and mixed vegetables in a light soy-sesame sauce - savory, slightly sweet, and delicious (3.5/5) Marinated Boneless Short Rib: Tender marinated boneless short ribs, garnished with sesame seeds and fresh green onions, served on a bed of sliced onions (3.5/5). Flavorful though a bit tougher than expected. I like galbi with the bone-in with the marbling better. But if you don't like to deal with the bones, then this is the choice. They have a pretty decent menu selection. We'll have to come back to try some other dishes. Support your local business.

First timing trying this Korean restaurant and food quality is amazing. I got the tofu soup with beef and my friend got the sulongtang. Tofu soup is flavorful and sulongtang is a very good choice for comfort food. Plenty of seating, very relaxing, friendly server. Will for sure return

Cold Noodles ($39.95 combo with galbi)

I have mixed feelings about this place. There were things I liked but also several things I really disliked. I'd say 3.5/5 overall, they definitely have things to improve on. Upon entry, the restaurant had a strong bathroom-like smell which was a bit off putting since the space is relatively new and clean. The biggest issue I had is that they forgot important pieces to the dishes I ordered for dining in and taking out. I ordered beef tofu soup, but the beef was completely forgotten in the order even though it was paid extra for on the receipt. And, the cold noodles were barely cold as they did not add ice, which is almost always in that dish. Lastly, I had asked for the takeout items to be separate from the dine-in tab but even that wasn't followed through with. On the other hand, I was pleased at how spicy raw marinated crabs were in the banchan though very small pieces at that, but they were good. And the rices were served in pots that crisped up the bottom! The quality is definitely there but the execution could be improved to really have it shine. RECS: + Brisket seolleongtang ($18.95) tasted comforting and light, I have had better but this hit the spot! I wish it was more beefy + Tofu soup ($19.95 but... beef was forgotten) had good flavor but again, quite sad beef was not put in. Spicy was not very spicy PASS: + Cold noodles and galbi combo ($39.95) was a hit/miss. The cold noodles were tasty and not too tangy which I liked, but they weren't cold! Galbi was lacking flavor and quite dry + Japchae ($14.95) ordered as takeout was nothing special, could definitely use more sesame oil and sauces for flavor

Hidden gem for Korean comfort food in Fremont Tried Hanmaru Korean Restaurant in Fremont for lunch and was surprised. I had the galbitang, and it was exactly what I was craving clear yet flavorful broth with tender beef ribs, super comforting and satisfying. It's a new restaurant, so not many people know about it yet, but it truly feels like a hidden gem. Ordering is easy since you order through an iPad at the table, which makes everything smooth and efficient. The restaurant also has nice Korean-themed decorations, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere that adds to the overall experience. Overall, it's a solid spot if you're craving Korean food, and I've already been spreading the word and telling people to check it out. I'll definitely be back!

    Camila H.

Oh the side dishes here are all so fresh and good. They even give spicy raw Marinated crab here :o I def plan to come back to try their soy marinated crab. Tofu soup was very tasty (a bit salty) but delicious nonetheless. Will be back!!

    Kim Chee spread
    Art L.

4.5 stars rounded down to 4 Non assuming type of interior with chairs & tables from previous restaurant owner. Service is ok but friendly. Took several tries to get more water or extra napkins. The 2nd set of Kim Chee spread came without incident... a plus. As for the food, it's above average in taste but ingredients are of higher quality than most Korean restaurants. They use pork belly meat for spicy pork. Their Kim Chee spread is definitely the higher quality ones that one would get from high end Korean restaurants. The raw crab is a pleasant surprise. The bulgogi beef is also a higher quality beef that is slightly marinated & done well. Overall, the tastes although good but slightly milder in tastes. If you like that, it's perfect! The spicy scale is definitely on the low end scale. Wonder if one can order a dialed up version. It's a new find in the neighborhood; definitely will come back to try tofu or galbi type of dishes.

We originally planned to dine in, but after waiting a little over an hour, we decided to switch our order to takeout because we couldn't spend that long waiting for dinner. When we got home, the first thing we noticed was the kimchi. It looked noticeably darker and browner than what we're used to. The discoloration was a little off-putting at first, but surprisingly, the kimchi itself tasted good. Galbijjim Meat: 2.5/5 The beef was what Koreans would describe as 질겨 (jilgyeo) tough and chewy. With galbijjim, I expect the meat to be very tender and easily pull apart, so this was disappointing. Sauce: 3/5 You can see some red pepper in the dish, but we felt like most of the heat was coming from something closer to chili oil or a capsaicin-based sauce rather than the peppers themselves. It tastes good while you're eating it, but you'll probably pay for it later. Tteok (rice cakes): 2.5/5 The rice cakes were a little tough as well. If you're expecting the soft, chewy tteok you normally get with tteokbokki, don't expect the same texture here. Portion: 4/5 The portion is definitely large. I'd say one order can comfortably feed around 3 people, depending on how much everyone eats. Restaurant / Wait: 2/5 The restaurant itself is pretty small, which seems to contribute to longer-than-normal wait times. Waiting over an hour for a $100+ dish definitely affected our overall impression. Would we come back? Probably not. My wife gave it 2/5, and I'd give it 3/5. For $101, we expected more tender meat and a flavor profile closer to traditional galbijjim. The portion was generous, but overall, the food wasn't worth the wait or price for us. We'll be looking for a place that's more aligned with the traditional galbijjim recipes and flavors we're used to.

We wanted to order the package B which comes with 3 protein of choice with add on ramen and cold noodles but they refused to let us order package B but insisted us to order package C which comes with 4 protein of choices. I and my niece don't eat meat so package B was good for us. There are 5 of us but 2 of us don't eat meat, we basically eat the banchan with the sauces. I do not like how they handle the situation at all! I clearly told them I don't eat meat so package B was good for us and they refused. We can not finished with 4 protein for package C which had a lot of left over afterward. The galbi was $9 add on more which the portion are small and over cooked! The grilled chicken was okay, the pork belly and the beef brisket overly thin slices below average quality. The best part of this was the banchan they were given, the potatoes salad was delicious. The hot sauce was very good. I just add all the banchan with white rice and hot sauce to make the best Bibimbap ever. The cold noodles were excellent just like how it tasted in Korea. When my daughter gets up to pay for the bill, they expected us to tip them 18% instead of 15% because there are were party 5 of us. You lucky that we even tip you 15% while we felt the services was horrible! Overall, I like the foods here but the service was not right!
