The family and I booked a table while my dad was visiting, and we had a really good time. We sat for hibachi, and the whole experience was fun, lively, and memorable. The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked right in front of us, which made it even better for the kids and the whole table. The hibachi chef kept everyone entertained, and the energy at the table was great. We ended up splitting the table with six other people, and by the end of the meal my dad was doing sake bombs with them like they had all known each other for years. That honestly made the night. It felt less like just going out to eat and more like a fun little dinner event. Good food, good service, good atmosphere, and a random shared table moment that turned into a great memory. Definitely a spot I'd recommend for family dinner, hibachi, or when you want something more fun than a regular sit-down meal. read more

My hubby and I come here often for date nights on a weekday or occasionally for someone's birthday. It's centrally located and across from the Harkins Movie Theater where we love watching movies. We really enjoy the happy hour at Shiki and my favorite drink there is the Mai Tai, but otherwise I'm a tequila girl. We usually sit at the bar for our date nights before watching a movie. Two weeks ago I ordered a tequila soda water and a baked salmon roll. My hubby ordered a teriyaki entrée that comes with miso soup, salad and white rice too, but we upgraded to the house fried rice to share. We love us some fried rice and I normally eat the miso soup lol. Other than long wait times when having a large party, service has always been good in all of our experiences there. We've done all the dining experiences they have to offer too! When they're busy it may take a little longer for the food to come out, but it's worth the wait. I love their ramen as well. 1/26/26 Dine in visit - This restaurant is located in Redlands in this nice shopping plaza which includes many restaurants and boutiques and a movie theatre & plenty of parking . Came in was warmly greeted by staff , restaurant wasn't packed they had sports on the tvs playing it being Sunday. Our server greeted us & took our order and our food & drinks came out within 10-15 mins max. Friendly service and food quality . This place is very roomy, it's of Teppan space and also other seating for regular menu items. SERVICE: Usually pretty quick. If you can make reservation, do so! It's always busy. But if not, just plan to wait a little and go have a drink at the bar. Bartenders are nice! The servers at the tables are quick and the Teppan chefs? We've been lucky and usually get a pretty funny chef with some skills. FOOD: I have had their sushi often and it is really good. The wife and I always get their Teppan combination w/fried rice and veggies. I do Keto, so I ask for extra veggies - no rice. Filet and shrimp or New York steak and shrimp, you can't go wrong. Their noodles are also great. Oh, and don't forget to make the Yum Yum sauce spicy by adding a little Sriracha!! Again, it can get really busy and the place is very loud, so be ready for that. Great food filled with flavor! The prices are at the high end but the portions are huge. We always have food to go. Great selection in sushi rolls. They have an extensive food menu options. The servers and cooks are all so nice and welcoming. The restaurant itself it's wide open with a lot of seating. Definitely a Resturant to celebrate any special occasion. Weekends are really busy. I ordered the Chicken cutlet Salmon teriyaki Tempura shrimp (4) with fried rice! The chicken cutlet was so dry to eat. Batter was so hard and over cooked meat was dry and bland. Bland Salmon was a very small slice piece and overcooked as well. Teriyaki sauce was on the sour side than the sweet taste. My hot tea was served in a cup rather than a tea pot with steeping tea bag in hot water!! After a few sips of the tea it got cold and was never offered by server to replenish a hot one. At the end of the meal server just left bill at the edge of the table without a word! Been here a few times and always enjoy it. Great staff, large open dining areas, and excellent food every time. Price wise they are slightly more expensive than a few other places I also like but probably due to their location and higher rents. Still worth the price in my opinion though. read more

4th day of 2025 let's do Sushi Local (I meant Redlands). I have been to the one in San Bernardino one. This location The customer service is very good, friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and kind. The food is a whole different story- Crunchy Dragon: should have avocado and I don't find it in my piece. It is really similar to the next one that we ordered. Hungry: Eehh... same stuff as Crunchy Roll but they supposed to have Eel but I only found 1 small piece out of the whole roll (sad face) IN & OUT: This roll probably the life saver for the night Shiki Sushi date nite. Not saying this good but OK and decent. Hamachi Carpaccio: its okay and probably the best dish tonight. Tempura Fried Ice cream: Kuddos for the humongous gigantic plate. But I'd rather have Quality over quantity for this level of Restaurant. Let's just say not bad. I don't taste the green tea but its okay next time i order Strawberry flavor instead. Overall for the food I woud give 2 star because Hamachi Carpaccio. Customer Service 5 stars. Value I would give 1 star. I come to Shiki every once in a while because I'm a huge sushi person and it's one of the better ones in the area. The service kinda sucks (slow, servers aren't that attentive or nice unless you're a cute man etc.) but I still go because it's overall a good vibe compared to the options around. Shiki is a pan Asian restaurant, with a focus on Japanese, very large with regular dining, a sushi bar, a bar with sports on the TV, and several teppan grills. It's a fun place, located near Harkins Theater, great for a date night, which was exactly what my boyfriend and I were there for, going to see Godzilla Minus One afterwards, so it was perfect. I had the spicy beef ramen, he had sushi, plus some egg rolls that had a Vietnamese name "Pho 77" egg roll, which imo, were closer to a Filipino "lumpia". It was good though, the sauce was Vietnamese for sure. The food all tasted good, it was fun to watch the teppan diners and chefs, and our server was fine, but possibly new, because she told my bf he had to go up to the register to put in his PIN (?). We were like "what?", bc why wouldn't you run it as a credit card? So, that was the only downside, bc when he got up there, they said they did run it as credit. Not good. Me and my fiancé have only been twice but each time we've been blown away with how good service is. Everyone is so attentive and kind, and our server Bratva made sure we were taken care of and even was making conversation and she was so funny! Seriously, it's so rare to find service like this! This restaurant always seems to be busy and is definitely a popular place for celebrating a birthday. Teppanyaki is always good. Sushi is always good in service is generally good. There's a bar TVs to watch a game if you wish easy seating for sushi sometimes Teppanyaki can take a while but again like I said it's busy. I recommend this restaurant. read more

Honestly the food is expensive for its small portion. Ordered calamari that was 17$ and it tasted like the batter. The portion was small. They could make this dish better by saucing it up lol The California rolls tasted good but honestly it tasted like cream cheese mixed with the imitation crab. The California rolls were a 5/10 I asked for Fried rice and they gave me rice that was mixed with teriyaki sauce that was probably sautéed a little bit. I took my brother here to have a nice dinner because I've eaten here before and I really loved the ambiance and food, mind you I came here for lunch. We were already waiting for the waitress to take our drink and food orders since my brother was starving from his flight to California. Our drinks came first and I knew it would take a while before the food came because I could see the restaurant was already crowded with guests. This was fine because we had the chance to catch up and talk before our food came but it was louder because of the cooks and customers cheering them. My brother thoroughly enjoyed the fried calamari but he said it's prepared slightly different than what he usually eats. Then our main dishes arrived. The food presentation was beautiful and food tasted delicious! Only problem was that one of our appetizers arrived after our main dishes which was okay because musubi is sometime eaten as a meal. The couple that arrived after us had received their check by the time we received our food. We arrived at 2:10pm and our food wasn't rang in until 2:43 as shown on the ticket. Came here for our date night - wanted to try something new and sushi is my favorite. The hostess quoted us for a 20min wait and it only took 5 minutes which was nice. Took a few minutes for our waitress Celine to show up. One of us has a gluten allergy and she didn't do a good job of following up with the kitchen on what alternatives we could have. She went straight to giving us GF soy sauce but didn't let us know what the kitchen said. One entree came out before our drinks & sushi rolls so thankfully that was a salad so it was okay to sit there for 10min and get cold. Celine didn't check on us and when we asked for the bill, no "thank you for coming" or "have a great night" was said. We paid the bill and I had to wait an additional 5 minutes to get her attention to receive a to-go box. My sushi rolls were delicious which is why I'm giving 3 stars.
