A quick bouquet or arrangement with long lasting flowers that smell amazing. The first time I went to "you see flowers" I got a small bouquet with some daisies and fillers. It turned out to be lovely and lasted over a week in the hospital room. Today I requested an arrangement in a vase and picked it up after I had lunch. I loved the flowers, more importantly they brought a lot of joy to my relative at the hospital. They bring fresh flowers on Tuesdays and Fridays, and even if they are out of flowers at the moment they have a back up to get the flowers you want quickly. The store is located by the Walgreens and the entrance to the hospital parking lot. I would definitely recommend this area as it is reasonably priced for their product and is located at a convenient place right before visiting the hospital. read more

My mom and had an overall odd experience with You See Flowers. My son was in a school play and my mom wanted to get him flowers so we walked over to You See Flowers. I asked the young employee there "What arrangement would you suggest for a teenage boy?" Answer: "Flowers don't have a gender so I don't know." Got it. I grabbed a premade arrangement and as she rung it up my mom asked if the flowers could be wrapped in paper with a ribbon in lieu of the plastic it came in so she could present it as a gift. The employee was confused as to what "paper" meant so I clarified "You know like some florists have white paper to wrap bouquets in?" Answer: "We don't have white paper just brown." Pause..stare...no movement to get the brown paper. "Ok...then can you wrap it in brown?" Confused look and then she wrapped it in brown paper. Awkward experience. read more

Bought my father flowers today after his surgery at UCSF. This place was so conveniently located. They are family owned and I was able to pick the flowers for my own arrangement. The woman working there made some suggestions and added some fillers to help it look a little more full. She was very sweet and did not make me feel like I didn't know what I was doing but rather helped me feel more confident. She asked which color ribbon we wanted and when I asked her opinion rather than saying "it doesn't matter" or "anything works," she took the time to educate me which ribbon she usually chooses based on which colors she has the least showing in the bouquet. Simple life lessons are the best, you never really forget them and you always remember where you learned them. We chose purple but that doesn't matter. What mattered to us the most was how she took the time to explain her thought process and took the time to make our bouquet with love. Highly recommend supporting such an amazing business. read more

At 10am I ordered birthday flowers for my wife ($100) and saw that it would be delivered same day, which I took as before 5pm (which is directly across the street from her work). They arrived after 5pm, which was after my wife left. Given we went on a long weekend and by the time ramjet received them, they had wilted away. I stopped by You See Flowers when I needed a small bouquet and happened to be near UCSF. It's a small shop located next to the Walgreen's and food court area right across from the main hospital, and you should not expect a wide selection given the small size of the shop. I thought the woman running the shop was polite if not overly friendly/warm. I looked around for a bit to see what kind of flowers I wanted, and while she did not offer any unprompted suggestions, she did respond to my questions attentively (She also gets points for watching The Good Wife, which is one of my favorite shows :). After I picked out my bouquet, she added some additional filler stems, wrapped it in plastic with a matching ribbon, and gave me a free notecard. I thought the price was fine overall, and the person who received the bouquet really enjoyed the flowers. I wouldn't go out of my way to get flowers from this shop, but I'd check it out again if I'm nearby and need some flowers in a pinch! read more

Very small storefront. It's like a closet sized flower shop. The selection is ok though. They have nice fresh stems and some potted plants out front. My mother and I picked some single stem snapdragons and Gladiolas. I would give more stars but the woman who was working here was NOT very friendly at all. Seemed almost angry and we noticed. She wrapped our stems in plastic and added some nice decorative palm leaves. Which was a nice touch. I forced myself to say thank you and the woman said "thank you" back. Her thank you was actually semi friendly, so I didn't get what her angry attitude was from. You would think being around beautiful flowers all day would brighten your attitude. I'm willing to go back and see how she acts next time. Fingers crossed. read more

This review should've been done about six months ago when I was working at my office at the Parnassus location and I was on my way out to my boss's home where she was holding our holiday staff party. I was only about a month and a half in my new position and this would be my first time and opportunity meeting a lot of my colleagues. Aside from that I am a grown woman I try my best to perform and carry out "grown-up" expectations such as never showing up at someone's home empty handed so I made a last minute stop at you see flowers on my way out and was greeted by a friendly face and told her I was on my way to my boss's new spot and wanted to bring a bouquet of flowers, it was a holiday party and I didn't want to spend more than $25. Melina was so attentive, she offered to put something together for me and offered holiday colors/theme aesthetic, I was so excited she was up for putting it together for me. And cause this post should've been done in December I would've had a picture of the pretty bouquet she made for me but can't locate it right now. Not only did Melina put the flowers together so beautifully, it was actually less than $23 and I felt really good showing up to my boss's home with a small thanks. read more

Hands down the best flowery delivery experience I've ever had! I wanted to send my brother-in-law flowers because he was in the hospital for COVID in SF, but I was in NYC. I had to call the owner a couple times with questions, because I didn't know his room number or if COVID patients were even allowed things sent to their rooms. He was very patient and thought it through, and he assured me he would do everything he could to get them there, and even sent me a picture of the final results (anyone who has ordered flowers for people before knows that never happens)! The bouquet/flower arrangement was large, beautiful, and fresh (and not tacky like some flowers can be). Two hours after I placed my order I received a text from my brother-in-law saying he received the flowers. Even though I had placed my order after 12 PM that day (so the order was going to go out the next day), my brother-in-law still received them the very same afternoon! It's important to support small businesses during this time, but especially the small businesses who are kind like this, because kindness is the root of community. Thank you for going the extra mile to brighten his spirits during this scary time. Above and beyond is an understatement. When I need to send flowers in SF again, I will definitely be ordering from here! read more

Disclaimer: I personally didn't see the flower arrangement. This review focuses on the customer service I received while ordering flowers for delivery. I ordered flowers for my mother, to be delivered on the day of her surgery at UCSF. When she didn't receive them, I called See You to ask about it. They spent a lot of time trying to figure out what happened. While they were doing that, I realized it was my mistake! I had ordered the flowers for delivery on the wrong day. After humbling apologizing, I asked if they could send the flowers ASAP. They offered to send them the next day, which was just fine with me as again, I had made the mistake and was happy to get the flowers to the hospital while my mother would in fact still be there. Then, I get a message later that same evening from See You. They realize that they could not make the delivery the next day after all, so they took it upon themselves to deliver them that same day!!! So, I screwed up my order and they went above and beyond to take care it! Really impressed and will definitely order again (barring subpar flowers however I doubt that will be an issue). Yeah...so I went ahead and read all of the other two reviews for this flower shop before I decided to add my two pennies to the pot. I'll start by saying I'm really feeling like this shop deserves 3.8 stars but since that's not an option I decided to do math and round up to 4. This shop is a good option for those last minute flower purchases or if you are in easy walking/biking distance because parking on Parnassus is not so great. The selection on hand is very modest, but it seems appropriate given the small space the shop operates in. I've purchased single roses and also bouquets, and I also want to point out their website which has an extensive selection. I reckon I've purchased flowers from You See Flowers four or five times by now within the last year and a half and while I would agree with previous reviews in some respects I have to offer different accounts as well. The first time I stopped by I did notice that the shopkeeper was a little lukewarm. I purchased a single rose, which she trimmed and wrapped very beautifully. Before she wrapped it she added a strand of long decorative grass (I guess that's what it was) and pushed the rose into a self sealing water tube (something not every place does). She finished the piece by adding a colored ribbon of choice and a palm-sized card, also of my choice. Now, I've purchased a few roses here in SF and I must admit that hers take the cake as far as presentation and competitive pricing. On subsequent visits I've found her much more friendly and warm, and I always ask how her day is going or how she's doing and I'm rewarded with a smile which is why I keep going back. A small, almost booth-size store in the UCSF Medical Center complex packed with flowers at reasonable prices. Our son had already sent tropical flowers to my wife in the hospital, so all I needed was a vase. The small store had at least 30 different ones, also at reasonable prices. And Pam also gave me a large piece of green florist's foam for free. read more

Unfortunately both reviews above are right. Although it is very convenient to get flowers at UC, the woman who works (owns?) You See Flowers is not friendly AT ALL. I think she forgot that people who support her business should be well treated (at least politely), but she does act like she is doing a favor for the clients (not to mention the unreliably opening hours). OMG, we are paying for the flowers! Want people to like your shop and come back? Be nicer or people will just walk a couple of blocks down the street and get flowers somewhere else (nearby, in any direction). Oh! I won't say that the flowers aren't nice. They are most of the time, but the woman was so cranky that I did not want to stay and consider buying something from her... Thus, get your flowers somewhere else, guys! read more
