Time for me to update my review. As I recall a big part of my not positive review(and most peoples gym negative reviews), was the sneaky charges and the difficulty in canceling the membership. it feels like a disservice though as almost ALL gym are tough to cancel, and the new government mandate to make it easier should help. All that said, we like this Youfit gym. The price is great. the check in is quick. the machines are either newer or at least reliable. It's spacious so it can handle alot of people and yet still have a machine open that you need. Parking is pretty close to the door. And the people working there are friendly, or at least put on a face like they are. We go many times a week and part of the reason we do is nice and easy it is. I cant recommend every location, but I do this one inside the mall parking ramp. read more

Very disappointed with YouFit Boca Raton, especially the way they treat their clients. The gym itself is disgusting. It often smells bad, there is rust on the equipment, and poorly maintained. It does not feel clean or well cared for. The biggest issue is their billing and cancellation practices, which feel unfair and misleading. I have been a member for nearly one year and I already canceled my membership, giving the required 30 days' notice. Even so, they are charging me the annual fee again simply because that fee falls within the 30-day notice period. This makes no sense. If my membership is canceled and I am only finishing the final month, they should charge only the remaining monthly fee to complete the year. Instead, they are charging the full annual fee even though I will no longer be a member. This feels like a money grab rather than customer service. Between the dirty facility, poorly maintained equipment, and unfair billing practices, I do not recommend this gym. read more

I am writing this review in regard to the Ufit gym in Sandlefoot plaza Boca Raton FL. My wife, and I were attending a gym that no longer offered Silver Sneakers. We researched gyms in our area, and joined Ufit at this location. I was a powerlifter who held state, national, and world titles. I was also a strength coach at 2 Univ. Of course UFit is not a power lifting gym, however its a gym that has adequate platforms for squats, and deadlifts. The machines are very functional, They have a bench area, and a dumbell rack. If your a functional lifter this is more that sufficient. The gym is clean, and the staff is always available, friendly, and courteous. Since joining I have observed trainers working with clients. They work to help the client achieve their goals. I myself wanted to work here, however due to my involvement with a local HS. (Wrestling strength coach volunteer) I could not find time. Mag. is active, and sincere. If you can't work out here , or find fault with this place you can't work out an where. I no longer compete, however I still work out. Is this gym for powerlifters? No, but its a more than functional gym. We are quite happy here. read more

This company is a joke. I have been a member for awhile but have not come to this gym in quite some time so I visited to cancel. Me not coming and paying is 100% no ones fault but my own. Their unfriendly policies just like all other gyms of their caliber are about the same. I came to cancel and spoke with an employee named Josh. He saw that I hadn't been there for a while and even a joked that it was almost a record! I said " yeah totally my fault it was an oversight but I need to cancel." He then proceeded to tell me "well I have some bad news your next billing date is within 10 days so we're going to charge you for that and we're going to charge you a $10 cancellation fee." My response "okay well I don't understand why you need to charge me again if that's the case you guys can refund last month's fee so it's a wash." the following excuses were provided: we can't do refunds. we cant due refunds due to Covid 19. (what..?) My manager will tell you the exact same thing. You can email some general inbox and ask for a refund. I asked to speak with the manager even if he tells me the exact same thing that's fine but I would like to talk to him. He does give me his manager's name "Bruno". He does look as if he's going to try to get the manager but the manager was reluctant to come out of his" office". Whether he was actually getting the manager or not I'll never know. If he was I think the manager was pretty unprofessional by not coming out to at least talk to me and if he was making a whole rouse to get his manager that's even worse. Either way apparently they are hard up for 35 bucks from me eventhough they have had hundreds of dollars from me over the years. OH btw no ability to cancel over phone or online. I recently joined and use the Palmetto and Town Center gyms. I was previously a member of Busy Body which merged into Boca Raton Fit Center (Palm Beach Gym). The main reason I left is LOCATION. It was 5.5 miles to North Boca. Both You Fits are within 2 miles. You Fit has all the weight and cardio equipment you likely need and I was shocked to see this as so many had bad mouth it to me. A major difference between You Fit and many local gyms is TRAINERS. There is often a glut of trainers. Some trainers are in house and some are private. They pay a premium rate or dues to local gym to train clients. I was getting sick of seeing the same trainers faces everyday. They can cramp your style. The number of private trainers in the weight lifting/stretching area is often 5 or 6 with maybe 20 to 25 members in the same area. So you have 30 people in the same area with many areas of congregation. read more

I've been a member for years and have noticed a decline in the maintenance of equipment. For example; the six recumbent bikes have issues. Two are not working and one of the two has been broken for two months. The direct TV is always going out and is unreliable. Numerous channels are out or don't have sound. The bikes are rusting. It's a disgrace. There doesn't seem to be any routine maintenance for the equipment. I came here from 24 hr fitness because it was convenient and reasonably priced. I give this a 5 star b/c for it's price, it definitely does the job. I've been going to Lifetime Fitness for 9 years back in my home town and now had to find a cheaper way to maintain myself. So I checked this place out and for 10$ it definitely has the basics and things you need if you don't use all the facilities that LA Fitness or Lifetime offers like the pool, the sauna, the showers, rock climbing, basketball court, or cafe. If you're needing a place with the free weights, the machines, even a circuit thing with a red/green light, and a stretch area, this place made sure it has 2 of everything. I've yet to run into a time besides peak hours where I was not about to do something due to lack of equipment. The crowd here is either super young high schoolers-- bored skinny girls following their dude friends who are getting swole-- decent postures, form is ok, or the super old crew who admiringly are just trying to maintain what they got. I don't see people of the middle age, with kids likely, and working professional crew here much- my guess is that this crowd would join something fancier like lifetime b/c kids have to be somewhere while their parents work out. The interiorior is all black and the machines are green and purple. I believe green works like back and purple works like lower body or something like that. The machines seem clean and do the job. The locker rooms feel like a high school gym locker with black lockers and actually nice private showers. It just doens't have that wood finish that lifetime and LA caters to, so BRING YOUR OWN LOCKS AND OWN TOWELS AND SOAP. but for 10$ a month, what have you to complain about?? Ok, so that was all the good. 10$ a month aint bad. it's 19$ for the start up cost, you pay 10$ for the first month and 10$ for your last month so that when you cancel you still got a month left to use. So you pay 49$ on your first credit card swipe. They then require a checking account to auto pay every month so make sure you have your info ready. You are charged that annual fee of 39$ 5 months into the membership and it's 10$ to cancel. So yeah there' some hidden fees here but you really can't beat this deal if you're a gym rat living in Boca Raton. What else do I not quite like? So I wished they had bands. Like ones that you can put around your shoes and do pulls. So I miss those. Their free weights are kinda stingy for the light weights section. So it really favors the meatheads who like to pump 20 lbs and onward. I really wish they would have a bucket of 8's and 10's and 5's for ladies who want to do conditioning. My daughter has been a member there for well over a year. She went to college in Tallahassee and this place tells me I'm going to have to pay a $10 processing fee to cancel her membership? DO NOT COME HERE when I signed up I asked if there were going to be any charges like annual fees or late fees or anything like that. They said no and I was happy. 50 days after I sign up I see a $53 charge on my card, so I called and asked what that was all about. They said it's an annual fee charge and that when I signed up they must've forgotten to tell me. Well, that ruined my week. I had something planned and that $53 charge meant I had to cancel. I work hard for my money and I like to be in charge of it. If I had been told of the extra charge and when it would be I wouldn't care. This gym was acceptable for the most part at first. Nothing crazy, but you get what you pay for, (dirty and crowded). However, I moved to another state, so i called to quit. They said okay and I moved on. The next month i saw that i was charged again, so i called back to see why i was being charged and i was told i need to come in to quit. I live across the country now so that was not possible. I told them to please cancel and reported the charges to my credit card. They have now sent this to collections over $100 after i canceled. 0/10 customer service would not recommend to any one. read more

My wife and I paid for their quick start package and although I have received 3 out 4 of my sessions later, what I paid for my wife has been an ongoing problem. We originally signed up in the Palmetto Park location and she was given a trainer - our first three sessions were sitting in his office with him going on and on about personal items about himself including his whole CBD business plan. He did our body measurements twice because he forgot that we had already done them the other day - must be that oil he's taking. Yet we came to work out and never got to. We had one session together because he couldn't get the other trainer for me and we spend half that session on the treadmill so he could kill time. We should up for the next session and he had someone else schedule and told us we were wrong and to just "go work out." Without trying to call that location out for their undeliverable service we asked to try for her the Glades location where supposedly there was another trainer that would be a "good fit." We went there and got a whole speech about they would honor the four sessions that we never got for her and six weeks later she has had only three of them and we have since paid $152 twice to you for biweekly sessions. We were new in the area, chose YouFit as a hopeful alternative to our previous LA Fitness and have found both locations to extremely poor in provided the simple things that we agreed upon and paid for. My wife's new trainer has delivered only three sessions (of the 4 original) over a four week period. He has repeatedly reschedules and cancels at the last moment making it impossible for us to get the basic plan for what exercises, weights and machines we should be doing on our own. We have found this common in both locations, upon the sales pitch we were told the trainers would be available to our after work schedule and yet they are not at all and we have run around changing our schedule trying to work out. Neither one of us is a foreigner to fitness, we are both 50 and we have done exercise for years. I think if YouFit were concerned about how their locations were run and how their brand is represented then they should investigate these processes. I had my trainer, once say to me "you see all these people? They are doing everything wrong?" But of course they are because there are no trainers and people can't take advantage of this. Additionally you can see so many other Yelp reviews for these locations and see the dissatisfaction. I wish I had paid more attention to those reviews myself. Anyone can go on YouTube and find information about exercise and diet and our expectation was a more personal plan for fitness provided by their staff - they sure had plenty of time to sit in offices and discuss at length how we could get in shape without ever really giving any training. I had someone ask me "how long to plan on committing to get your perfect body?" That was after hours of office sitting and still no training. Oh and if you do want to contact corporate and complain - good luck, their 1-800 number directs you to put a zip code and lands you right back in the very location you want to complain to them about. This place is Huge, Super Clean, and has a tremendous amount of space for every type of workout your looking for! With New Equipment, whether your looking to body build, or just get a clean workout! People cleaning equipment, while your there, and each person wipes there personal space when completed. Austin at the front desk, was exceptional in his friendliness, and help in what you need. I have been going to this gym for over a year and it has drastically gotten worse almost every month. At first it was the staff not showing up in the morning to open the gym and so we weren't able to use it. This happened almost weekly. Then the showers broke and have BEEN broken for months. Now they are constantly out of basic essentials like a functioning water fountain, paper towels to clean stations, and any staff to clean. This place is hot, muggy, and certain sections smell like sewage. After talking to management a couple of times and getting no results for months, me and my wife are now searching for a new gym. I am very happy with decision on coming to this location. My daughter got me to come in and Josh met with my husband and I. He took his time with us getting to know me and my situation. I had back surgery in the beginning of the year. And became very weak in my legs and well pretty much all over. Josh guided us through what he would do and since then he has. Even sent me text messages asking how was doing. I really do appreciate the time he has taken to guide me in getting my strength back. I now train with Tim and he is awesome. The team here at this location is great. The other coaches "Con" always says hi and gives high fives and says encouraging things. It a long journey but it's worth it!! read more

The YouFit branch at the Boca Raton Center is good to join. I have been going there since soon after it opened, a few years now. The staff on the front desk are very young and rotate a lot but mostly pleasant. While management has changed hands a good deal it seems to have calmed down recently and is running smoothly. The machines can do with a little better upkeep although the staff are mostly receptive to any issues you may have with them. Machines like the stepper can be down for days sometimes. Bathrooms are usually well maintained too. I try to avoid peak times because it can prove challenging to get some machines. I do like working out overlooking the mall though. read more

Excellent Gym for all types. Staff: Manager Austin runs a tight ship. His staff is extremely helpful and friendly. They answer any question you have regarding machines or weights People: You get a nice mix of people, and everyone is really friendly.  Old and young, teens, some serious lifters and guys and gals, like me and my wife, just trying to keep fit. However, no intimidating types. My wife, who just started working out, and was lost in the gym at first, feels right at home. Also, it is not very crowded most of the time- which my wife and I love. Equipment: Has a great mix of equipment. Enough heavy free weights for the more serious lifter, but light weights for those trying to stay toned and lean. Great mix of machines for every body part. Also has a couple of universal machines, which are my favorite.  For those who like to do cardio also - like me - YouFit has all various types of machines, treadmills, bikes, ellipticals, and Stairmasters with TV monitors on every unit.  Finally, the universals, and cardio equipment all seem new and in great shape. Price/Cost: Very reasonable on the budget. I believe not much more than $10 dollars a month which is a great price. Can also get a higher price (but not much higher - I believe around twenty) for those wanting to go to multi-sites. Locker Room: Extremely clean locker room, which is cleaned by staff several times a day. Recently renovated showers, which I use after every workout. Parking: Parking is never a problem since the gym is adjacent to the parking garage on the upper level.  Really love the fact that cars are kept cool since the cars are protected from the strong Florida sun. Location: Excellent location - easily accessible for those driving. Also, I see some members walking to the gym since the area is pedestrian safe. This gym is under new ownership and they are in the process of restaffing. The staff is nice and well-meaning but the company is (in my opinion) rather unscrupulous. Due to illness, I asked to cancel my membership after about 6 months. They suggested instead that I go "inactive" for 3 months to see how my health improved for only $5.00 per month. I agreed. However, on the second month they charged $53.49 in addition to the $5.00. I went in to ask them to remove the charge and to cancel my account. They stated that they would not remove the "annual membership charge" (a charge not advertised or mentioned previously with respect to the "inactive" status) because of "policy". I asked to cancel the membership and they asked me to sign a signature pad without providing the paper record of what I was signing. They stated that without the signature they would not cancel the membership and would continue to charge me for membership. They did offer for me to come back at some unspecified time in the future to try again to cancel (and receive a written record of the cancellation), but I see no reason to keep going back in the hopes that they will act reasonably and professionally since they haven't thus far. read more

You cannot beat the price on this one: $10/month, $20 and you have discounts on drinks, you can bring a friend every time you come... The location I go is prime, right at the Boca Town Center! This can be dangerous because you can loose weight and money at the same time! Their concept is very simple: no classes, only the equipment and the trainers (extra charge). This works for me because I have my own program to exercise. Their equipment is new, the hours are great (they open at 5 am and close at 12 am M-F). One not so small detail, they need more floor space for those who exercise with free weights. It is sad and comic at the same time to watch how people can get creative to share space! Their personnel is friendly and helpful and the installations are very clean so you feel comfortable and motivated. Not sure how they will do it, but they need more space. I will continue going and being creative with my Youfit fellows hoping they can figure out a way to give us more floor space! read more

YouFit Town Center mall has always been a great clean gym. Unfortunately they don't seem to care about COVID. While most people do wear masks the gym makes little attempt to social distance. There is always about 25% of the people in the gym who are wandering around without masks on. The gym rule is that as long as you are on a machine you can take your mask off. In the free weight section and around the universal machines its a free for all no masks. The staff makes sure you are wearing a mask when you come in but then the masks come off and no one enforces wearing them while in the gym. I see lots of people walking out of the gym with no masks on and the staff says nothing. It's a pity because all it would take would be one staff member politely reminding members of the rules... I am staying away until COVID numbers are much lower. read more

Youfit has everything you need in the environment you want. The staff is friendly and helpful, the facility is always clean (with exception of the glass entry doors, those always have handprints but it'd be hard not to with people in & out all day). What I love most about Youfit, aside from the can't-beat value of membership, is that there are so many machines and a great variety in the equipment at that. On occasion I've had to alter my workout plan because someone was on the machines I needed (there's at least a couple of each) but there's so many other options that when this happens I just jump ahead and circle back. Stay away!!!!!! This location has been on a rapid decline for a while now. The CURRENT management is very poor and does not enforce mask mandates even though there are signs posted outside and they have you sign a " code of ethics policy" There are consistently members walking around with no masks and no towels and not wiping down the machines . Has to be the dumbest company I have ever dealt with. I simply wanted to downgrade from their Lime Membership, which is $26 per month plus annual fee of $50 ($362) to their one-club membership which they just jacked-up to $13 per month. Anthony told me I would be hit with a $10 Junk Fee for to lower my plan. I said I am not paying. He said okay It's $10 to cancel. According to him, the owner would not eat $10 to save a customer long-term who would pay at least $206 per year plus taxes. I am surprised people this stupid are in business, SMH!
