I really like the motivation and level of training I receive. My trainer Rylee is wonderful and we work together to the level I can. With some physical issues, its hard to know what I could do. But Rylee was wonderful and set up an easy plan to start getting me fit safely and inspired. It is trie to say, i love this gym and my trainer! Could not get any better! I recently started going to Youfit in Kennesaw as KSU is currently doing construction to the student recreation center and gave the students attending school during the summer a pass to this Gym for 1 month. The gym is easy to find as it's on the other side of a large parking lot with the Kroger and you really can't miss those purple and green colors. Practically everything inside Youfit is purple and green, boy what a combination. The staff is nice and even when this gym is busy it's still pretty quiet and there's plenty of machines to choose from. I really like the personal televisions that are on the machines, that way you can find your own program to watch (however the channels don't go up that high) You can also plug in your i-pod or other electronic device, depending what machine you're on. Overall I like this gym, but it's actually just a substitute for me until KSU is finished with their construction on the rec center. But whenever I'm done with school and I need a gym to join, Youfit is definitely going to be high on my list to choose from. read more

I joined this club before it opened last year. I was told it was no contract $10/month. So shame on me for not reading small print on the contract. Oh wait, non-contract. Sorry. After a year the price goes up to $15/month. There is also a yearly renewal fee and and $25 cancellation fee to quit going. It's a nice place though. No complaints. Equipment is clean and in great condition. Staff says hello and goodbye when you come and go. Other than that, not interactive in any way like another reviewer mentioned. This is close to home so really debating whether to continue. Working out at home is just not as fun. read more

Don't use Youfit. If you sign and use it forever, you probably won't have problems. But if you need or decide to stop/cancel the membership, they will keep charging you. They start "creating" all types of charges and fees that they say you have to pay. They charged me a total of $110.00, so far, just because I had passed by the gym to check a promotion that I had received a flyer in my mailbox. For my understanding, I had sign up for the 2 weeks free. The manager did my "sign up by herself" on a tablet and collected my credit card information. I had told her many times that I was waiting for the result of my MRI before deciding for the membership. The MRI result was that I needed to go through surgery on my left shoulder. When I noticed the charges on my card, I passed by the gym to check what was going on. Only then the manager gave a card with a number that I needed to call and cancel the "membership" which I did right away. But they said the cancelation would take one month to be in effect and until then I would need to pay all the charges incurred. In one month and a half I had three charges of $19.99 + fees and the yearly charge of $49.99 + fees. I hadn't been able to exercise at all because of surgery. I had never signed in. I checked the reviews and I had seen many other cases similar to mine. Now, I am concerned that I will be charged forever as other people. I hope the charges stop soon. Honestly this company is a scam. I received a membership DURING HIGH SCHOOL in 2017. I sent my money order in to cancel before i left for college IN ANOTHER STATE THAT DOES NOT HAVE YOUFIT in 2018. They have been calling me since then saying my subscription never canceled even though it's now been 3 years since I've sent in the money order to cancel my account AND CONTACTED TO LET THEM KNOW I CANCELLED CORRECTLY. YouFt Kennesaw is simply the worst place you could go to join a gym. The staff is poorly trained in customer service, the fitness manager is only concerned with generating income and not focused on customer service or even doing the right thing. In addition to poor customer service the free weight sections (dumbbells, barbells, weight benches) are old and worn out. The fitness equipment (machines are in decent shape). The personal training hours are terrible hours if you work or even had an active life. My experience started out good as the manager of the gym and the manager of the personal training program were very nice and knowledgeable (eager to have a new customer). My initial visit for my fitness assessment went well and then things started to tail off. I was told after signing up for personal training sessions that the only time I could workout was between 5AM and 5:30AM Monday - Friday as there were no other slots for trainers. I agreed to try a few sessions to see if I could make the 5AM work for me however after two sessions I could not make the 5AM workout as it required me to wake up at 4AM (it just didn't fit my work schedule). I went in to the office and spoke with The gym manager and the Personal training manager Kevin and told them I wanted to stop my membership in the personal training program and to continue my gym membership. I told Kevin that the trainer was nice and that I just could not make the 5AM start time. Both managers understood and agreed to alert me in the future is a more suitable time became available. Three weeks later I was charged for new fitness sessions with a trainer - I then called the office and spoke with the front desk and was told that this was due to the automatic billing and that I cancelled my membership after the cutoff period for the month. I thought that was terrible customer service however I was allowed to extend the due dates for the visits so I had some training sessions available. I was not happy about this however it was the best I could due at the time. I was assured that that would be the last charge. Unfortunately I was not correct. I then received a new charge approximately 30 days later and I then went to the gym in person and requested to speak with the manager and Kevin. Neither were available as Kevin was on vacation and the manager was off work. I told the front desk agent that I had cancelled my membership twice and he assured me he would look into it and follow up with me. After Kevin returned from his vacation he called me and said he was sorry and that he could not reverse the charge. I told him that I had instructed him in front of the Gym manager to cancel my membership and he said that he misunderstood that I wanted to pause my training sessions. I assured him that I wanted to cancel my training membership as I had at this time 8 or ten sessions that I could not use. I also requested Kevin speak to his regional manager about reversing the charges. Kevin never called me back and I assume he didn't reach out to his regional. Four weeks later I was again charged for yet more sessions. I went to the gym in person to request an explanation. In the gym after visiting three times and calling two times I was told that I had to cancel the sessions in person. I asked why was I not told this on the five occasions that I called and visited the gym and was told it was in the fine print. I understand the first charge as I didn't read the fine print however each time I spoke with the management after my initial mistake the managers failed to instruct me that I needed to provide written notification that was detailed in the fine print. I then signed the document for myself for the gym membership and the fitness membership and had my wife do the same (I was allowed to sign her up but she had to come in to cancel the membership in person...) I was also told that as this was inside the new billing cycle I may get charged again... I then told the manager that this was ridiculous and that he needed to find a way to stop this nonsense. The manager agreed and provided an override in the system. This is downright poor customer service, deceitful business practice and a downright disdain for the customer. Before I left I told the manager that I wanted to speak with the Regional manager to see what they could do as I had now been charged approximate $650 dollars in fees that never should have bene charged. I gave then two weeks to have the manager call me and in the two weeks I never received a phone call. I hope in writing this note that I can help other avoid my terrible experience and hope that they find another gym in the area, one that appreciates the customer and does the right thing. read more

I did join and paid upfront for 1 year in full after that year I quit going. I just noticed that they kept on charging my Credit card! I never signed anything authorizing an automatic renewal of my membership. Additionally, Youfit never alerted me of their intent to charge my account again, or that my membership was ending and that Youfit would be charging my account a renewal fee again. Any other account I have an automatic set up for payment, they alert me of the charge. Ive been a member for about 6 years and the staff is always friendly and polite but for several months now the music has been soooo loud that members cant hear the music on their own ear buds. Ive mentioned this about 3 times and they turn it down that day but its super loud again when I return. Not sure why they dont see that most all members are listening to their own music so they can tone the music they want to hear down a bit. Great gym! The staff here is so friendly, and when you walk in, you feel welcomed. To me, it doesn't feel like walking into a regular gym, where you're judged or looked down upon. I always feel very welcome and encouraged. Everything here is purple or green, which actually has meaning. The green machines are those focused on lower body, the purple are upper body, and the mixed colors are cardio or total body. The have an Express Circuit station, where you can get a quick, full-body workout. They also have trainers, who are always willing to help you with your form or answer any questions you may have. With each membership, they offer a free Fitness Assessment, which ends with them trying to convince you to hire a personal trainer. The manager is very persuasive, almost pushy, but I can understand his motives. I didn't appreciate it, though the assessment was very informative and helpful. I personally love this gym, and would recommend it to anyone, whether you're a "newbie" when it comes to gyms, or you're experienced. read more

This is a really nice and clean gym!!! All new equipment!!! Its got to be one of the most colorful gyms ive ever been to... kinda makes you wonder if your having some kind of flashbacks from your old "party days". :) i only have 2 issues with this place. 1) the staff are nice but NOT friendly at all.. 2) BEWARE OF HIDDEN FEES that they make it a point to NOT tell you about!!! The HIDDEN fees are the reason i give it only 3stars!!! Meh.....it's okay I guess. Here's what I like: Whoever is in charge of the music is doing an awesome job of making sure that the songs played identify with the demographics in the gym at any given time. I mean they are playing my late 90's hip hop hits, Current Edm mixes, everything....... I did get nervous when an ancient, nobody ever heard of this rock song kinda was slipped in that mix but it was quickly changed before most noticed. The eliepticals and bikes have TV'S that only work if you are moving your butt. I like that. I was able to watch NBA finals without missing a beat with my workout. There are plenty of bikes, eliepticals, and tread mills so you won't have to wait to use one . Free weight section: Standard equipment you would find in most gyms with free weights. Plenty of room too so you can do lunges and lift without getting in the way of something or somebody. Okay now here's where the gym falls short: As a KSU student, we are getting access to this gym because our gym is closed for renovations. Now, one would think that the similar amenities my tuition pays for I might have similar at You fit. I'm not asking for much. I just want my aerobic classes. It rubbed me the wrong way when a sales rep basically tried to sell me a package that includes aerobic classes knowing that I'm paying tuition towards a gym I can't use that has "free aerobics" which is why I'm here due to the youfit/KSU agreement. I didn't like being viewed as a sales opportunity as opposed to hey, they're using our gym because theirs is closed don't try to upsell, show respect. read more

Very basic gym.... small locker rooms with only 2 showers (mens). NO WIFI. And few TV's except for the ones on the treadmills.. though they only have 6 channels and they are random. Lacking in dumb bells... someone always seems to be using them. No pool, sauna, steam room or classes of any type. Its very basic. read more

I just rejoined this club. Was a member several yrs ago. I had no problems canceling my membership unlike alot of the comments here. When I rejoined they told on what date and how much my annual fee would be. It is true they did not tell me about a cancellation fee but I was already aware of that. The staff are ok. Not really friendly but nice. One guy though I don't remember his name, worked at the club when I was a member several years ago and is still there is cool. Overall for the price its worth it. Big scam. During the Covid, I receive email because they were close and was given the option to cancel my account or keep getting charge until the place open. I went ahead and express in the email that I wanted to cancel and I got a reply that due to Covid cancellation are being handled by email but on number circumstances I will have to go the a location to cancel. I came to find out my account was never cancel and was charge the yearly dues for the account. I went to the kennesaw location that I follow instructions according to the email I receive and why am i still being charge and the manager said nothing he can do about that. Do NOT listen to anything an employee tells you when you are signing up for a service at this gym. Even a manager. I was told that when I was signing up for a personal trainer that I could cancel that service at any time. I specifically asked because I knew I would be getting married and moving in 3 months. The then-manager told me that was no problem and he would set it up so that I could cancel at any point. 3 months later, I cancelled my membership at the gym because of my move and was told that it was no problem and all my services had been cancelled. Two months later, I discovered I was still being charged 100 dollars per month for the personal training. I called to have this fixed and all I was told by the new manager is that the contract stated I would pay for 11 months and that they had to go by the contract. I was blatantly lied to by a MANAGER when signing a contract and there was "nothing that they could do." What a terrible business. But the "good news" according to them is that all I had to do was come in and pay $175 to cancel. Oh great! Now I only have to pay $375 for services that I am not receiving and was blatantly lied to about being able to cancel. They are crooks that care nothing about their patrons and apparently lie to get you to sign up for their services. read more

The people that work there will not assist you or try to help you...they are just rude towards you. Too bad I can't give a negative star rating. I was a member for 3.5 years. Dealing with the staff, and especially management, and their billing/contracts is like living in a 1970s commercial that sells cheap cookware that doesn't work. It looks good on TV, but it's all different when you actually buy it. Pros: Nice, new(er) equipment Fairly clean; never caught MRSA Nice members; never felt uncomfortable like at other gyms Kind of inexpensive (at the outset) Cons: ^^^ "Cons" pretty much sums it up. I picture the founder and management of this company like a bunch of bald headed con men who wear cheap track suits or poly blue leisure suits with open shirts with cheap gold jewelry, and even cheaper cigars, all sitting around an office in a low rent strip mall, laughing at the suckers who join. Beware that anything they tell you with regard to billing is pretty much a lie, and then if you go to inquire/dispute it, "the manager isn't here right now." And forget calling the corporate office. Try it! You can't find it! Anywhere! I have a feeling the holding company is some offshore scheme with nothing more than a PO Box somewhere in the Caribbean, within walking distance of where the cruise ships dock, two stalls down from the guy selling trinkets to the tourists. Hence, the reference to the low rent strip mall, kind of like Saul Goodman. Also beware of the fact that they have this little digital signature pad that they want you to sign BEFORE they allow you to see the document. When I cancelled (after 3.5 years), they wanted me to sign, telling me one thing, only to find that I had agreed to a bunch of charges JUST TO CANCEL. Of course, the acne faced kid behind the counter who apparently was breast fed on protein shakes "can't do anything." I went to my bank (a national bank) to put a stop on the upcoming charges only to be told by them that they've seen this thing many times before. They'd be willing to block the charges, but warned me that Youfit is notorious for sending "outstanding" charges to collections. Do I really want to ruin my credit over it? The acne faced kid told me that "things were different" since I signed up and their "new rules" included all that crap about charges when you quit. Fortunately, I'm a record keeping nazi and was able to dig out my original contract (the one you sign for on the digital pad BEFORE seeing it). YEP! I was right. I don't owe any of that sh*t, but like the lady at the bank told me while I was enjoying a complimentary cup of bank coffee, "Don't ruin your good credit over $100." I joined this gym almost five months ago and I have no complaints, besides it sometimes having a lot of high schoolers. The staff is super friendly; especially the ones at the front! Same people there since I joined so must be a good work environment. I can't say much about the trainers since I haven't used one but they look consistent. The people and process were ridiculous and shameless in an attempt to milk additional payments out of an unwilling customer. If you ever decide to cancel, be prepared to spend a significant amount of your time doing so and plan on paying for several months after you decide to quit. My membership with Youfit should have ended in December of 2020. Fast forward to yesterday when I was online looking at the charges on my Discover bill. I shockingly see a surprise of a charge for Youfit of $129! This caused me to go back and look at December of 2020 to see if Youfit erroneously charged me then as well. Sure enough, I saw the charge for a membership I did not initiate, use, nor want! I called my local gym and the Manager, John, told me it automatically charged me. He said he would try to put through a cancellation of the renewal and a refund, but that corporate was not always responsive. Don't join this gym!!! Like the other posters commented you are charged hidden fees and it is NOT month to month. And as a wonderful bonus they charge you a yearly fee to your bank account in an unknown amount and unknown date. So basically I got debited out of my account without any warning of a date or amount. No email nor a letter of this charge, yah HellsFargo Bank had a field day on me with their fees. I guess I'm going to close my bank account open a new one and let this sit on my credit forever. Called back to speak with a manager after the associate was rude and the manager threatened to call the police if my wife was upset when she showed up at the club. Really? DO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOT JOIN THIS GYM, UNLESS YOU ENJOY BEING RIPPED OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Joined April 09, 2019 and were only a 'NON CONTRACTED' 'Member' for 2.5-3 weeks.........I joined because I do not like to commit to Gyms, cell phone companies, etc, so when it says 'NO CONTRACT", I like to do a trial, once my next mos fees were not paid, that should END my access to the Gym, Membership etc, but nooooooo.....this Kennesaw GA location told me I owe $101.xx because they tried swipping my card for May, part of June AND had the nerve to try and stick a $49 Annual member fee on top.........and this was done AFTER my April 30th $21.99, payment failed to go through..........sign up with another Gym, or ask a million questions FIRST, or just go Jogging outside, but THIS Gym is falsifying their business and I'm filing an official complaint again them!!
