I took our truck in for service at Young Buick & GMC. They were very good about explaining what services our truck needed, including an alignment. The service writer was even good enough to find me a coupon for the alignment. Also, while they were servicing our truck they offered me a complementary ride, which I did accept. Then, after the work was completed, my service writer called me and again offered a complementary ride back to the dealership. read more

They use deceptive tactics in selling cars. They install a clear bra, tint the windows and do security etching on the windows on every car in the lot as a "service to their customers". They mark it up about $2.500 for these items. They say they do it because every car at a minimum needs these items. "Every customer needs them to protect their car and their experience is that all customers want these items". They try to sneak these coats in without the cusromer knowing. They are also very high pressure. I left and went to Jerry Seiner and had a completely different experience. All Young dealerships do this. Stay away from all of them. read more

Horrible experience buying our SUV from Young Buick. Drove to Layton from Salt Lake thinking we would get a better deal. The entire experience was awful- promises not kept, a host of extra fees tacked on, and to cap it all off- they held our plates ransom because they forgot to inspect the vehicle before they sold it! We like the vehicle but still have nightmares thinking of this dealer- stay away!!! read more

This dealer needs to stop driving their vehicles home for personal use. We came here to try to get the 20% promotional discount that GMC offered on their 2016 models. Only problem is that GMC requires less than 2000 miles for this promotion. The dealer had about 6 Acadia models on the lot and all of them exceeded the mile limit, making them "demo" models and not eligible for the discount. Seriously, these are supposed to be new vehicles, but the company apparently lets their employees drive them all over town. I'm so disappointed that they couldn't offer us one single Acadia that would meet the GMC promotional offer. That discount would have put the vehicle right in our price range. read more

We bought an SUV from here about two years ago. We love the car, but not Young's service! From the start they sent us the wrong paperwork (someone elses), they hassled us about a warranty, and we were there for hours trying to get all of the paperwork straight. We paid extra for a 5 year service and maintenance plan with them, and now after using their service for two years they said our contract was expired. We personally had to talk to the finance department to have them straighten it out and were promised that they would get it ironed out and we could get it in for service, but when we called a week later, they still didn't show anything. Horrible customer service and once they sell you the vehicle they could care less about helping you. read more

I was really happy, I bought a car in 2014. Complete with the Extended warranty, for 6 years. I brought my car in yesterday and oddly enough, my warrant wasn't valid anymore. I was shocked, and so was the service rep. We thought for sure there was a mistake. Nope. Looking at the "fine print" my warranty was for 6 years, but the mileage had been checked to 70k miles, barely 20k over the manufacturers warranty. This was not clearly communicated when we bought the car, or we never would have paid all that extra money for a junk warranty. I'm extremely disappointed, feel like we were suckered into a "warranty" that was completely useless when it was actually needed. I won't but anything here again. And highly stress to anyone who does, DON'T but the warranty. read more

Just purchased a new YUKON from Young GMC. The experience was WONDERFUL. We are from out of state and found the perfect vehicle at their lot for cheaper than anywhere else in the country. We flew in and they picked us up. The sales team catered to our needs without high pressure. The finance team worked with us to get great financing which included all of the upgrades and accessories we added. The parts, service, and accessory department worked with us to get everything we wanted. OUR VEHICLE IS AWESOME WE LOVE IT AND KNOW WE WILL ENJOY IT FOR MORE THAN A DECADE. I will never return to this dealership for work on my car ever again! My car had two recalls on it, I had an appointment at 9am.. They had my car for 7 hours and only did one of the recalls, which was putting a piece of plastic on my ignition key! Are you serious!?! 7 hours for that and the service guy didn't even tell me they didn't do the other safety recall. His excuse when I called about it was... "Oh we got busy!" I get it, busy happens, but.... 1. I had an appointment. 2. The key would have taken 10 minutes if you cant prioritize, then maybe a new job choice should be in order! read more

Dont go to this company. They are crooks! They pushed me into a car I didnt want, promising me they would make it the car I wanted. After agreeing to get the car if they made the changes. I signed the paperwork and took the car. I went back two times to find out where my parts were and get a manual and the second key they lost. After 3 weeks of me going in they called saying I had to sign a paper for the parts. I go in and they tell me my financing fell through. My car was not there anymore and I would have to either agree to the new financing which was much higher interest rate and higher payment or take the money they offered me for my car and walk off the lot. Not only that they hit my credit 8 times by going through sketchy companies. They didnt contact my own credit union that I have been with for 25 years. I had no choice but to sign and I was not going to get anything they promised originally. They had 3 weeks of me coming in there prior to tell me there was a problem but chose not to say anything. I spent a lot of money at this dealer for a brand new Yukon XL Denali and the service department continually gives me the 'run around'. Every time I go to this dealer for any type of service they refuse to honor coupons and continually push repairs that are unnecessary. This made me call into question why I go back to these jokers. What pushed me over the edge was the service adviser who recommended a power steering flush....wait what, I thought this truck had EPAS steering. I called Ken Garff GMC in Ogden who not only laughed when I told them but sent me the page out of the service manual for servicing power steering on my exact model. I even when one step further and corroborated this with Jerry S GMC in Bountiful and guess what.....yep as I suspected, fraud. I called the adviser back and pressed the issued and being the arrogant people they are, she insisted I was wrong, Ken Garff was wrong and GMC factory was wrong. I know they are running a sham because of how defensive they became and instead of listening and owning it, they dug in heels and made the situation much worse. I am sure this review will not change anything at this dealer given the fact they do not listen but I hope it give warning to others. read more

False documents, take more than what it's worth, Then have a lawyer call you and tell you, can have 3 oil changes. However there people are nice. But could not trust them so I did not get the 2 of three oil changes. If you try to get them back they will have a restraining order against you. hey isn't that a threat. Service Department entered my appointment a day sooner than what we agreed to over the phone. I drove a two hour commute to get there to find I was a day late. I recieved no phone call or text message from them wondering where i was the day before. I wrote down on my notepad the scheduled time as we spoke. Mistakes happen I agree. Its just upsetting to drive four hours for nothing, to find out they entered my appointment wrong in the computer. If they had called me the day before i could have avoided a waisted trip. Better communication is needed from the service department. They did try to fit me in but the repair was too extensive to get it done with there full schedule. read more

The man who checked in my truck didn't make eye contact, didn't smile and other than asking a few basic questions he didn't say one word. It was very uncomfortable and horrible customer service. When I got home I noticed that the techs had spilled something down the driver side panel of my truck and in an attempt to clean it up they smeared an oily substance all over and I still can't get it off. read more

Buyer Beware!!! I purchased a 2006 Toyota Sequoia from this dealership last month. The service and friendliness when making my purchase was great, so much so that I was sold on the Resistall treatment as well as the Toyota Extended Warranty. The appointment for Resistall was two weeks out, no big deal. During the time from my purchase date to my Resistall appointment (2 Weeks) I found some problems with my Sequoia. The rear window when trying to roll it down fell off the tracks, my seat warmer didn't work and my lumbar didn't work. Since I had a warranty (30 day Dealer Warranty as well as a Toyota Extended Warranty) I contacted my salesman and he said he would let them know and they would check it out when I brought my truck in for the Resistall treatment. I dropped my truck off and I spoke to Devi who had sold me the warranty and she said it should be covered and provided me loaner car stating I should have my car back the next day. This was how long the Resistall treatment would take and there "seemed" to be no issues with fixing the my recently purchased Sequoia. Marty was my contact in service and Nate was my salesman. I called Marty the next day and he didn't know if they were done with my car or not. He found out and contacted me very quickly yet informed me that they were slammed in service and therefore he couldn't get to my car until after the weekend. No big deal, I understood and contacted him after the weekend. When I contacted him he hadn't had a chance to see it yet and I waited another day. Next he had to contact my warranty company to find out what they covered. I thought this was odd seeing how I just purchased this car. When I called him again he acted surprised and said someone was suppose to contact me about my warranty. Apparently NOTHING was covered. When I inquired about he "Young Buick GMC 30 Day warranty" he said "Oh that's just for the power train." He said he would see what they can do and he would have Roger Young call me. He never called, some guy name Jake call me and said there is nothing they can do however he will work with me on pricing to get these items fixed. No call from Marty to inform me about pricing. I tried to contact Debi who was the service manager and left her a message letting her know how dissatisfied I was with the purchase of my vehicle and SHE never called back. It has now been 2 they've had my truck and when I called Marty yet again he finally checked on pricing and told me the window would be $800 the seat warmer would be $1574 and the lumbar would be a $500ish. Again I discovered these issues within the first week and told my salesman figuring they did a "72 point inspection" and there should be nothing wrong with my car. My husband ran down to go get our car and no one was available to talk to him. The receptionist instead made excuses and could do nothing to help. Never once did they contact me and basically they got paid what do they care. I have never had such horrible service....ever. I can not believe that a company wouldn't back up and do what is right with the sale of the car. read more

Customer service at check in is lacking. Arrived at opening of business on a Saturday morning and was the only person in the service department. Apparently tidying up the desk and sorting through the prior days paperwork is more important than acknowledging the presence of a customer. After waiting standing for 15 minutes I was finally checked in. I will be returning to Salt Lake Valley GMC instead where the check in reps run out to greet me in the parking lot with a handshake and a smile. It is time for Young GMC to provide their employees with some customer service training. I won't be back to Young GMC in Layton when their competitors in Salt Lake know how to treat customers with respect. read more

Went in to buy two cars that I had already looked up on-line. They jacked the price up by 2k and when I called them out on it they moved it down but still was over priced by $500. I printed out the page when I got home that night to take it in today and when I pulled it up on-line today they changed the on-line price to the +$500. My dad has worked at young for 40 years and we have gotten cars from young before and never have we ever been treated like this before! I will never go back to young Buick again. read more

I went to purchase a vehicle from them. The sales manager and my wife and I all agreed on the price of the vehicle. As we were finalizing the paperwork I noticed that the price we agreed upon was not the price that the vehicle was being sold to us for. I then spoke up about the difference in price and was told that it was impossible to sell us the vehicle at that price. I then asked to see the sheet that we all signed showing the correct price which they then provide with everyone's signature on it. Once I seen that with the manager he then started to try and go back on his word about the total that we agreed upon. Needless to say that I didn't buy a vehicle from them and never will. After driving an hour to get to the dealership it took the online sales assistant, a salesman, and a sales manager almost 30 minutes to figure out which trucks I was there to look at even after being assured by the online sales manager that the trucks I was coming to look at would be ready to go. After they figured out which ones I was there to test drive it took another 10 minutes to find it and get it ready to test drive. After the test drive the salesman brought the 'numbers' to start negotiations and the price was a thousand MORE than the online price! I don't play the back and forth game so after giving the salesman the price I would pay (Kelly Blue Book value), it took another 15 minutes before he came back. Not wanting to give a RETURNING customer a good deal (Kelly Blue Book Value) they instead showed me they could sell the truck for the same price at auction and would not lower the value as they stated they had that much 'into' the truck. Needless to say I walked. The next day I noticed the online truck price had been LOWERED and the Carfax was removed. This truck just happened to have two accidents on it. I thought this was odd and checked a few other trucks I had looked at and they ALL still had their Carfax posted. Sorry, but this is flat out shady business to me. I received a call a few days later by a different person from the dealership stating she 'wanted to make things right' so after explaining the story she told me I would be contacted. When I was contacted and told them the price I would pay (Kelly Blue Book value) they went back to the sales manager. When they called back they stated they couldn't go that low because they had a certain amount 'into' that truck- which just happened to be $1100 MORE than they stated the previous week! Needless to say I 'walked' again. This terrible service and shady business is the exact opposite way I was treated at the Young Kia dealership in Kaysville by Heston. Don't waste your time at the Buick dealership in Layton, they obviously don't have integrity or else the figures they give potential buyers wouldn't vary by $1100 in a week. Terrible customer service, terrible organization, terrible/dishonest sales managers, no sense of loyalty to returning customers. read more

Sadly, I purchased my car here. Got pressured into buying one thinking they were giving me a good deal but found out I got ripped off. They didn't count my down payment for the price of the car. For example they said they'll sell me a car for 8 grand. I said okay I'll put two down thinking it'll be 6. After signing and everything it ended up being 14 grand with taxes as I read the paper they sold it for me for 10 grand. I got the two year maintenance warranty. But it pretty much doesn't cover anything. Each time I go to get it repaired they give me a price of how much it'll be then I'll find out its 4x more. One guy says the warrenty covered it and then the front desk tells me it doesn't. I forcefully have to pay which isn't helping me being a college student. First and last time going here, and I'll actually recommend people not to come here. I got gypped and keep getting gypped. No honestly what's so ever. read more
