He took the $75 fee and stated he'd order the part and return to repair it. For 30days I waited then called my Home Warranty to request an update. He never informed them he had gotten the parts. He scheduled to repair the washer Friday 29May and never showed. It's refreshing to find a trustworthy repair company. They provided an honest assessment of my refrigerator and delt with American Home Shield (AHS) to ensure I received a new refrigerator when it was apparent my current one couldn't be repair. Repair appointment was for 10-12:00. After talking with someone 3 times on the phone no one ever showed up to do the job.

Do not use them. They came out and replaced the refrigerators defroster. It started making noise and freezing again 2 days later. They came out again and said they had forgotten to blow out the line. It worked for about a month and started freezing up again. I called 4 times and they never called back to set up a time to fix it. They must have put in a faulty part. They agreed on the phone that it must be a faulty part and told me a technician would call. Two times I was told this and no one called. I left messages and no one called back. Their answering machine message has ... Have a Blessed Day. When you talk to them they say .... Have a Blessed Day. They shouldn't say that because of how they treat people. That's what gives Christians a bad name. The comment from Young's owner below says it all. Not very professional or Christian of them to call me a fool. Plus, I don't see any explanation of why they didn't return my calls and if I have a faulty unit that's damaging parts they should have told me this rather than just replacing one part and then ignoring my phone calls. I don't think replacing one part and the part not working right justifies them saying I have a unit that damages parts. The only part that didn't work was the one they put in. She said no warranty on parts. What she is saying is if they fix your appliance and the part they use doesn't work they will do nothing about it. It should last longer than a month. He was running a little late, due to the repair before us. However he kept us posted on his progress, and came to us even after normal business hours. He diagnosed our appliance quickly, and his company went to work. In a matter of days, the Home Warranty company accepted his diagnosis, and replaced our appliance with new! My LG washer started to throw an error code. I decided to call a company to diagnose it. Youngs Appliance was first up and was able to come same day I called. So far so good. I don't recall the techs name who came out but he arrived and parked in a location that made me unsure if he was even coming to my house or not, he had no decal or identification on the vehicle it was for appliance repair. After sitting in the car I decided to go out and make sure it wasn't someone being nefarious. It was the technician in his private vehicle, which didn't matter to much to me but would preferred they got out and knocked on the door instead of sitting in their car looking suspicious. Technician comes in, he is friendly. I guide him to the washing room and he looks at the washer. About 5 minutes in and he's telling me it's not good. All he has done is spin the drum by hand and played with the controls. I get the date of purchase and provide that too him and he proceeds to tell me the washer is basically toast and list that I'll need: tub assembly $229.78 , inner hub $107.24 and an unlisted part for $205.00. So for $542.02 it can be repaired but said it should be under warranty. He offered no assistance in warranty information, or explained what it would even mean to be covered under warranty. He gave me the slip and I paid the $95 service charge. I proceed to research and the warranty isn't covering it and decided to take it apart myself since the tech never actually diagnosed it. 20 minutes start to finish, about 5 minutes on a YT video and 15 minutes removing the agitator and drum. I find a lighter jammed under the drum, remove it and reassemble and the washer works just fine. This is something I thought i'd be paying for. To take it apart and diagnose what is actually wrong with it. Not a tire kicking test. I feel very ripped off for spending $100 bucks to be told my washer is toast for it to not only be fine, but the issue actually not related to the mechanical parts of the washer itself. For this reason I would never recommend this company to anyone knowing they will not fully investigate and diagnose accurately. So if you decided to call them out, my recommendation is to ensure they actually take the time to get into it and not glance at it, shake it, give you a bill and take off with your hard earned money. read more

I would give this company a -5 review. The company was hired by me home warranty company. They came to my home on July 30 and collected the 85$ service fee and I was told on August 4th 2023 that someone would be at my home on Aug 7. When I called them on the 7th I was told that they were waiting on a third part. I waited a week and around the the 17th the tech called me and asked would it be ok if he came out on Sunday to repair the oven. I said yes but nobody came on Sunday and didn't call either. The warranty company reached out to youngs appliance on my behalf and were told that they would come out on thurs Aug 24th. On the 24th the service tech phoned my and said hi Ms Belinda what color is your display panel because the ordered part was the wrong color.(don't know why he wouldn't know that because he took pictures. After this point they just refused to answer the phone. This company has terrible business practices. They will come for the service fee and give you the runaround. The technician told us that it was an easy module to replace and would order it and replace it. That was over a month ago. Dishwasher began leaking. Home warranty company's assigned repairman (who I think was the owner) Didn't show up for several appointments. When finally showed up quickly said it was rusted out and would need to be replaced. A week later he still hadn't given warranty company info needed to settle my claim. The warranty people couldn't reach him, kept telling me to call him. I did several times. But he already had my money so didn't answer the phone and his mail box was full. After 2 weeks with no dishwasher the warranty company said they would have to start over with a new repairman. read more

I rarely post reviews. The technician came out to my home on 5/24/22 to evaluate the repair for my stove, microwave, and washer. The was the first technician that did not have a work vehicle (ie, van, truck), but a standard sedan. Before the technician left, he stated he would complete the evaluation and send it to the warranty company by the end of the day. As of 5/27/22, the warranty company still hasn't received the required paperwork and when trying to reach out to Young's directly, no one answers the phone and no one returns calls. If I could give this company no stars, I would. They are frauds. The technichian originally assigned to our case rescheduled twice that day and then finally shows up after 9 PM. He said he would come back Monday to actually fix the issue. It was not until Tuesday that he turned in the request to the warranty company to authorize him to fix the broken piece. He set the appointment to Friday and never showed. When asked, he said he got in a car accident and could not make it or call us to inform us. He set another appointment for Sunday. He did not show up and said the part was in the office, which he could not get to until Monday. We set another appointment for Monday, you guessed it, he did not show or call. We got the case reassigned, but unfortunately, it was with this company, just a different technician. He seemed more legit and set an appointment for Tuesday. I tried to reach out to him during the early part of the given window and got the message on the phone that his number was not in service. Needless to say, he never showed or called. Like others have said, never do any business with this company. They took our service call money and never looked back. One of the olworst parts about it is that they make themselves seem to be Christian by telling you to have a blessed day, but that is no way that any true follower of Christ would act. The worst company I ever worked with in my life. They lied to my insurance company and said I had electrical fort wire. They never looked at the refrigerator, not even opening it. The technician came at my house and wrote a note and sent it to my insurance company. And they said they do not cover what he wrote. The technician lied to my insurance company because he never checked the refrigerator at all. If you're deal with young appliance repair, you're dealing with the worst company on Earth. If I could give this company a ZERO I would. They are very unprofessional the personnel who pick up when you call in or who call for scheduling makes it apparently clear that customer service is not her best attribute. You can forget appointment times because they don't know the meaning and will get an attitude when you call in to inquire about the technician not arriving between the window they set. When they finally arrive they spend very little time looking into the issue. They leave the customer uninformed. I chose Young's Appliance Repair because of their policy to drop the service fee if an appliance repair is required. Unfortunately, the money I would have used for the fee is going towards another repair company. I called and had a repairman come out to fix my washer, which ended up having a broken suspension rod that had dropped the basket and was causing it to slam into the sides of the washer. The repairman only replaced the one instead of all of them as should have been done, then left before it could be tested. This barely solved the problem, but the washer ran, albeit still with banging and shaking so violent I was concerned it would fall apart. So, obviously not repaired adequitely. Now, I wouldn't be so upset about this if the repairman hadn't written that I said it 'worked like new'. No, it does not work like new, it works like an arthritic bedridden old hag. He did not stay around to see it tested, did not perform the expected and appropriate repair, and then had the gall to lie on the reciept. It almost makes me wonder what else their company may lie about, or how they aquire repeat customers. I would not even reccomend this company to the people I particularly dislike when they need no repairs, much less anyone actually trying to get something fixed. read more

I have already made an extensive Google review but I would like everyone to be weary of this business. We were quoted 210 to fix our dryer on 7/3/20. The tech agreed to come back that following Monday, 7/6/20 between the hours of 10-2. However no one came. We called and left messages and suddenly had someone arrive at 645p that evening. This guy said to my husband "all it needs is some WD40"...sprayed down the belt and went on his way. I left a detailed review on Google but our dryer still was not fixed so I attempted to get in contact with Mr Larry on 7/16 and he said he would have someone go back to complete the job ONLY IF I took down my review on Google, I simply declined. This man even put our address out there on Google in response to my review. He then lied about the cost of the job and insisted he GAVE US A DEAL. Stay away from this company! I was assigned Young's Appliance Repair by my home warranty company American Home Shield to repair the ice maker in my refrigerator. The first technician arrived at my home and I demonstrated to him that the ice maker was making ice but was not dispensing it out. After spending only a few minutes he told me that he would have to order a part for the repair. A week or so goes by and I receive a call to schedule the appointment for the repair part to be installed. While waiting the 4 hours, I received several calls from the technician telling me that he was coming to do the repair. At the end of the scheduled window, the technician called to inform me that due to car trouble he would not be coming to my home that day. He rescheduled the appointment for the next day (Saturday) at 9 am. Upon his arrival I noticed that it was a different technician. He went to my refrigerator ice maker in the door, removed and reinstalled a new ice storage box. He quickly started to gather his equipment when I asked him if he was going to check it. I handed him a large cup which he placed under the ice maker which dispensed about a half a cup of ice. He said it was fixed and started to direct me to the paperwork. I asked him to dump the cup and try it again. On the second attempt the ice maker failed to dispense any ice. I told him that I believed that there was an issue with the flap that opened and let the ice come out. He played with the ice maker flap for a couple of minutes and then told me that he agreed and that he would have to go back and order another part. After waiting over three weeks, with two repair visits and no change in the status of my ice maker, I asked him why the issue was not detected by the first technician. He stated that it should have been. I asked if his company was open since it was Saturday and he informed me that it was not. I directed him to have a representative from Young's Appliance repair call me at 9 am on Monday morning, to which he agreed. On Tuesday, after not receiving a call on Monday, I started calling the number I was given ((910) 479-1342) for Young's Appliance Repair, which immediately went to voice mail. I left two messages with my name, address and phone number requesting a return call. On Wednesday I called Young's Appliance Repair and again my calls immediately went to voice mail. I then called American Home Shield to see if another part had been ordered for my repair. After finding out no parts were on order, I had the American Home Shield representative call Young's Appliance Repair. After talking to Young's Appliance Repair the American Home Shield representative informed me that Young's Appliance Repair stated that the repair was completed and that they refused to do any further repairs for me because I was rude to their technician. Luck for me I notified American Home Shield on Saturday, after the technician left, that the repair was not completed and that I was told that another part had to be ordered. After what I have personally observed, I believe that Young's Appliance Repair is a scam. It appears that Young's Appliance Repair is made up of incompetent technicians and owner/leadership that does not worry about doing the repair, just collecting the cash and running. read more

I wish I would have seen the reviews before I called. Was given a 4 hr window and with 30 minutes left I called to see if tech was still going to show. Said was late from other job. Showed up 45 minutes later and I told and showed what dishwasher was doing. Showed the buttons for reset and advised that machine was fine until latch was bent. The tech pressed the start button which as I showed him beeped and flashed. He squeezed the upper door panel for what ever reason. Proceeded to tell me that another dishwasher did the same thing and it was the catch from door to latch that was broke. Okay fine but I want to know why mine is not working. He squeezed the door panel again and said that it was the control board. Of course the most expensive item. How can a control board be bad when everything was fine until the latch was bent? He did no type of test or diagnostic to verify the control board was bad. The unit codes that the door is open when in fact it is closed. I was told that Service call is usually $85 but was a special for $65 was told would get military discount and senior citizen discount. Received neither. So this company charged me $65 to look at my dishwasher and squeeze the door panel. WOW! I asked the tech to call me the next day to tell me what a control board costs. I never received the call and I have been calling them since 1000 this morning and it goes to voice mail but mail box is full so cant leave message. I have to agree with the others that I think they are in the business of charging for service calls but never actually doing any work. I will be contacting my bank to get the charge reversed.
