Note: this is a review not for the actual services provided, but for the process of inquiring. I found this place through a friend's referral who noted that the people here are really on top of everything and had great experiences. I excitedly emailed them through the website. 2 days passed with no response. I decided to copy the email from the website and send it directly. Mind you that I had called them in between these days only to get no one on the line. By the 3rd time I left a voicemail. A couple of days later someone finally responded to my email asking these questions about my wedding. I gladly responded within an hour of receiving the email. I asked if I could get a breakdown of services provided and general pricing. It's been over a week and a half since I sent that email. Still no response. It's been over 2 weeks since I initially reached out, but still no response. I didn't even get a phone call back from the initial voicemail I left. I understand that times might be busy, but if you can't even reply to a simple email or phone call, you probably should rethink how you treat the customer. If this is a preview of the type of service I would get if I hired this vendor, I would gladly pass. I had the opportunity to work with Reychel and Jayne as my day of coordinators for my wedding and they were amazing! Reychel helped me with my planning and she was so easy to work with. She helped answer all my questions, reached out to my vendors and made sure she had all the information necessary for the day to run smoothly. I thought Reychel and Jayne would start their day with us at our ceremony location. Because we got ready at our house, they came earlier so they could help in making sure my husband and I didn't see each other before our first look which turned out to be a big help! They even offered to pick up food for us since it would be a long time before we got to eat at the reception. My reception was at an Airbnb so there was a lot of extra work to be done as opposed to being at a venue. They helped transport all the floral arrangements, our cake, the alcohol, dinner plates and favors and had everything set up perfectly when we arrived. They even made a stop to get ice for us which was one less thing we had to worry about. My family was so impressed by them and how on top of everything they were. Simply put, Joseph is an angel!!!!! He was our day-of coordinator for our wedding a couple of weeks ago and he was a life saver. I literally didn't have to worry about a thing the whole day. He came with high recommendations from a family friend and every little bit was true. He created my entire day of timeline and organized all my vendor insurance etc. The day of the wedding he kept everyone in line and on time and managed all vendors for me. He was incredibly detailed oriented to the point where he stuffed tissues into my bridesmaids' bouquets in case they cried during the ceremony and when I had a headache, he was next to me with Advil in his hand. We first heard rave reviews about Joseph Fong from several of our married friends. He was one of the first vendors we knew we wanted for our wedding of 180 guests. He was available and responsive throughout the planning process to answer any questions as well as to provide advice and support. He recommended and researched vendors and even negotiated on our behalf if necessary. The actual wedding day played out without a hiccup. He kept us all on time, and we never had to lift a finger! I was looking for a Day Of Coordinator for my wedding when my sister in law to be referred me to Hayashi Events. Kim and her team went above and beyond our expectations. She communicated with us in a timely fashion. You could call, text, or email her anytime and she would be available to answer any of your questions. She communicated and followed up with all my vendors. Out of all the vendors I worked with, she was my favorite. She was one of those people who completely understood what we wanted our wedding to be, which made her so easy to work with. My wedding was pretty hectic since we had over 400 guest, not to mention a huge wedding party filled with 8 bridesmaids, 10 groomsmen, 5 flower girls, 4 ring bearers, 10 primary sponsors, and 6 secondary sponsors. I don't know how they were able to get all those people organized but they were able to do it. In addition our wedding day schedule was even more hectic because we got ready at the hotel our reception was at by LAX, then had to drive 45 minutes away to the church near Glendale, then drive to a different location for pictures in Downtown LA, then back to the hotel for the reception, so we were on a strict time line. Through it all, her and her team remained cool, calm, and collected. Not only were we on time but we were always ahead of schedule :) Here are a couple examples of the little extra things they did for us that really made them stand out: 2 days before the wedding Kim and her team picked up all our wedding stuff so we wouldn't have to drag it with us the day of the wedding. This included programs, candles, decorations, favors, and a bunch of other random stuff. During our wedding ceremony one of her team members stopped by Mc Donalds to get food for the wedding party so we had something to eat on our drive back to the hotel for the reception. At the cocktail hour a guest accidentally spilled red punch on the back of by wedding dress :( Kim and her team immediately came to my rescue to get the stain out as fast as they could. Unfortunately there was nothing that could be done about my dress, but at least they were able to bustle that back so you couldn't see the stain at all. Hayashi Events and Joseph Fong Events are really as good as it gets. Kim is very professional and patient. I couldn't have asked for a better day of coordinator. On my wedding day Kim and her team was amazing. Their service is top notch. I was able to stay clam and not stress out at all. They took care of everything! First off I want to say that my husband and I never once thought of hiring a wedding planner or A Day of Wedding Coordinator. We had planned our wedding rather quickly , within 5 months, and knew exactly what we wanted. Little did we know that something we thought so simple would involve so many complicated formalities. Our wedding was set for the end of September of 2016. We had all elements in place but one: who would run the show? Family? Friends?? OMG!! Thank the gods we found Your Day by J & K. Not only were they phenomenal but they agreed to the job 3 weeks away from wedding!! Talk about commitment to excellence. Everyone wants their wedding day to be "perfect." So brides find the perfect venue, perfect dress, perfect flowers, etc. All those things don't matter if you're stressed out. Let me tell you, the only true way to achieve a "perfect" wedding day (besides the obvious of marrying the perfect person) is to hire the perfect day-of coordinator. Kim and Joseph are rock star-quality professionals. I'd recommend them to everyone (I already have!) and would work with them again in a heartbeat. Big event or small, simple or complex - doesn't matter. Hire them. Don't even consider asking that super-organized friend(s) who has coordinator-like qualities. As guests, they should be at the bar. Let them have a good time. Seriously. Leave it to the professionals. Paid professionals. Don't hire someone who's willing to do it for free or on the cheap because they're trying to break into the biz. You get what you pay for. And, you say your venue comes with a coordinator? I promise you that person (no matter how great they are) will only do a fraction of the magic (yes, magic!) that Kim and Joseph will pull off for you. The site coordinator makes sure you get down the aisle and the food is served. Kim and Joseph take care of EVERYTHING ELSE! They met with us in person a few months before the wedding and immediately made us feel at ease. I relayed all of my logistical and day-of concerns and immediately felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. We felt that after just a lunch meeting, they had a true sense for the "vibe" we wanted on our wedding day. I reached out to them many times over the months leading up to the wedding. They were responsive and never made light of the seemingly silly details I felt they needed to know. One of the best logistical parts of engaging a day-of coordinator: handing over all of our stuff (favors, programs, table numbers, slideshow, etc.) during the rehearsal dinner. I've told everyone this is the trick to a stress-free night before the wedding. No last minute rearranging seats, printing junk, fixing stupid bows or packing up. You're forced to finish everything the day before and you have no choice but to be ready to go, and then you can go to your rehearsal dinner and enjoy a glass of wine (or five). Awesome. (And of course, they executed everything perfectly). An effective wedding coordinator takes certain qualities. Kim and Joseph possess all of them. They are each leaders who will take charge when necessary, but have the intuition and grace to stay in the background when it's appropriate. We loved this! Anyone can be organized and coordinate logistics, but managing a wedding day takes a special demeanor, patience combined with a sense of urgency, and really, a sixth sense. They're discreet and can navigate potentially sticky situations. They're tactical and one step ahead of all of us the entire day. Double sided tape (because it seems on your wedding day there's nothing that double sided tape can't solve). Color-coded straws for water bottles so you don't mess up your lipstick. Pepcid AC in the groomsmen's pockets (because unfortunately I inherited the Asian gene). They don't even tell you what they're going to do, they just do it because they know it will make life easier. Oh yeah, and they are FUN. Fun, classy and professional. After the wedding, family, friends and vendors alike raved about Kim and her team. A groomsman - who is also a wedding deejay and has seen many weddings - said that he had never seen a coordinator so "on point." How many single straight guys do you know who compliment your wedding coordinator?! Two of my bridesmaids want to hire her. Our family members commented they felt very much taken care of. You can't put a price on your sanity. People spend tons of money on weddings, yet somehow professional day-of coordinators aren't always allocated for. Like many couples, we were on a tight budget and cut back in a lot of areas, but there was no question about day-of coordination: we knew we wanted to hire competent, personable and trustworthy professionals. I randomly found Hayashi Events when I was looking for a coordinator to help with just the wedding. Since I was on a budget it was hard but Kimberly got me in contact with Jayne Shim. Let me tell you this girl was WONDERFUL and saved me from going crazy!! She was easy to communicate with and all I had to do was tell her what I wanted and she coordinated everything for me. She truly went above and beyond for me! It was hard for me since my bridal party wasn't really active in helping and Jayne did everything for me..Being 5 months pregnant i'm sure i was not easy to deal with! My niece and I were recently asked to be guest book/gift receptionists at 2 weddings. The wedding of 2 nieces who just happen to be sisters. We had to work closely with the wedding coordinators and got to know Joseph very well at the 1st wedding. We had never met him prior to our arrival but he approached us and said "You must be Auntie Joyce and Katie" with the hugest smile ever. He showed us what we had to do and was always there to guide us and answer any questions and never without his smile. He was very calm and professional through the whole wedding process up to an including gathering the gifts and guest book from us. A few months later we were at the next wedding and there was Joseph with his smile, once again. He showed us where we were to set up and made sure we had everything we needed. At this wedding we were introduced to Jayne. Jayne was on top of every little detail. She even made sure that the appetizer waiters did not forget us and she even took our drink orders and brought us our drinks. She checked on us often to see if we needed anything. Between Joseph and Jayne they made our duties very easy. Although we were just guest book/gift receptionists, we could tell that they took their jobs to heart and made sure that the entire wedding process was running as smooth as possible. My wedding last month was absolutely spectacular and I owe it all to Joseph Fong and Hayashi Events. Was it more than I was expecting to pay for wedding coordinator? Yes. Would I pay double that amount if I had to do it all over again? In a heart beat. After attending several weddings that were coordinated by Kim and Joseph, I felt confident that they would provide me with the professionalism and organization that I knew was necessary for my special day. When Kim said she was going to be unavailable for my wedding day, I must admit that I was a little bit hesitant to have Joseph take the lead without Kim, however, I had absolutely nothing to fear... Joseph and Jayne were both incredible! From the moment of our first email correspondence, I knew that Joseph was going to be an awesome day of coordinator. He always responded immediately, and was always courteous. And even though I only hired him for "day of" services, he was constantly asking if I needed help with anything. Kim was amazing in that way as well. Even though she was not going to be there for my wedding day, she helped me find Japanese drum performers, and she did everything she could to assure me of Joseph's competent skills as a coordinator. At our first meeting with Joseph, I immediately took a liking to him. He was 15 minutes early and greeted me with a big smile and lots of friendly eye contact... Good start! (Subsequently, he was early for every meeting we had thereafter). At our meeting with the banquet manager from Queen Mary, Joseph diligently took notes and made me feel completely at ease. I came equipped with a pen and paper, but I don't think I even lifted my hand to take any notes because I could see Joseph furiously scribbling away! He was extremely prepared for the meeting with copies of the schedules and layouts for everyone in the room. Very impressive! When the big day finally arrived, I felt completely relaxed and at ease. All of my bridesmaids commented on how relaxed I looked, and I jokingly told them I had taken a few muscle relaxers. But seriously, the only thing that was keeping me from being nervous was knowing that Joseph and Jayne were there to take care of every last detail. We had arranged seating, which is a big pain in the butt, but Joseph and Jayne were on top of everything! They laid out all the seating cards, and kept us running on schedule the entire time. Even when I threw in some last minute changes to the schedule, Joseph took it all in stride, making adjustments here and there to ensure it all ran smoothly. From the vendors to the guests, everyone commented on how impressive my wedding coordinators were. Even the supposed day of coordinator from the venue mentioned that she would like to have Joseph at every single one of her weddings (probably because she knows Joseph will handle all the work that she is supposed to do herself). After viewing all the pictures from the wedding, I know everyone had an amazing time, and I owe it all to Joseph and Jayne. If you are hesitant about paying the price (as I admit I was in the beginning), I can only tell you that you that they are worth every single penny. I've been to many weddings before that were either a crazy disorganized mess, or were run by a militant coordinator barking orders at all the guests. Not fun. Keep in mind, I only give 5 stars for the deserving.... When looking for a day-of wedding coordinator, we wanted someone with professionalism, great organization skills and tons of experience. A friend referred me to Kim & Joseph and we got more than we could ever ask for! This dynamic duo made our wedding day enjoyable and worry free. Pros: 1) They were ALWAYS early to every meeting. 2) They ALWAYS called me back, answered my phone calls and returned emails promptly. The last thing a girl needs is the added stress of tracking people down. 3) They have great personalities which makes them great at handling large crowds. Polite, yet still direct. 4) They are knowledgeable and resourceful. 5) They're worth every penny! Cons: 1) None They think of everything! They wear hip pouches (aka fanny packs) filled with everything and anything a bride might need for her special day. Safety pins, lip gloss, oil blotters, etc. While we were taking photos in the warm Cali sun, Joseph made sure everyone was well hydrated. Not only did he have the water ready, but he also made sure there was a straw in the bottle so the girls wouldn't mess up their lipstick! They asked the bridesmaids & I if we thought we would cry. If you answered yes, they pinned a Kleenex into the bottom of your bouquet. Genius! On one of our first meetings with them, they asked us questions to get to know us. I thought this was a nice personal touch because they really want to know you outside of the big day. One of the questions was, "What is your favorite drink?" We didn't realize that this was an important question for the day of the wedding. From the minute our ceremony ended to the final hour, Joseph and Kim handed us and refilled our favorite drinks! Coordinators aka personal bartenders! They made sure we always had a drink in hand...and sometimes two for my husband! Hubby and I wanted to take photos with every table, but we weren't sure if we had the time. We told Joseph and Kim that we had to take it out of the timeline, but they had a great suggestion. On the day of, we finished 15 table photos within 30 minutes! Also, I was having trouble with my photographer. About 2 weeks prior to the wedding, the photographer wouldn't respond to my emails or commit to a time for the timeline. I mentioned it to the coordinators and they took care of it for me! At the end of the night, gifts, guest book, flowers, etc. needed to go to our parent's hotel room...across the street. Somehow, Kim and Joseph got EVERYTHING back to the correct rooms. They even made a list of things that were in each room. The best surprise was when we got to our Bridal Suite. They decorated it and had everything romantically set up in the room. I could go on about this fantastic pair! But I'll spare you the smaller details and recommend that you try them out for yourself. My husband and I hired Jayne and her team to do day of coordination for our wedding this past Saturday and I can honestly say it was by far the best decision we made throughout our entire wedding planning process. There is absolutely no way we could have pulled off the wedding without Jayne. Let me first start out by saying you get way more than just day or coordination, Jayne and her team really go above and beyond. We meet with Jayne in person more than once to go over details and to make a very detailed timeline which was such a relief because we felt like we had no idea what we were doing. On the day of the wedding Jayne and her team were so on top of every little detail. My husband and I had a thank you sign that we wanted to take pictures with to use on our thank you cards, I don't even remember telling Jayne about it and of course I forgot about it when it came picture time, but then out of nowhere here comes Jayne like superwoman with the thank you sign! Joseph and his entire staff are the A-TEAM! They made planning our LA wedding for 200 people a breeze...or a lot more manageable than it would have been without them! From the moment we inquired about their services (he was referred to us from another couple) Joseph was prompt, thoughtful, detailed and SUPER ORGANIZED! My husband and I both have busy careers and Joseph was always accommodating with scheduling calls and reading contracts to help us catch anything important. He created a master google doc that was fantastic for keeping us on task and always had the right answer to whatever complicated wedding problem/person/vendor we threw his way :) The week before our wedding we had a meeting with Joseph where he walked us through our entire schedule (minute by minute!) and collected a list of items (such as my dancing shoes, tips for vendors, specialty cocktail napkins for the venue, etc). Jayne coordinated our reception on October 25th, 2014 at the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana, and she and the whole staff made the process a breeze. This is one of those instances where I wish I could give a 10 out of 5 stars review... Joseph and his team coordinated our wedding at the Richard Nixon Library in Yorba Linda, CA on Feb. 14, 2015. It's hard to know where to start, without getting overly emotional on how much I love and appreciate Joseph for everything he did for us throughout the wedding-planning process. Although we only hired his team for day-of coordination, Joseph met with me multiple times months before the wedding to go over all the details. He was incredibly organized, providing us with documents pertaining to timeline, decor inventory, vendor information, and even budget tracking. From the get-go he was incredibly kind, flexible, and helped us work out details we didn't even think about. :) The week of the wedding, Joseph took the initiative to help us take all of our decor (which included 21 centerpieces we did ourselves!) to the venue. He also contacted each of my vendors well in advance to confirm load-in/out times, schedules, and any other details we might need a second pair of eyes on. He took charge of the rehearsal and completely organized everything, which I didn't ask or expect him to do. The day of the wedding, him and his team set up EVERYTHING--flowers, runners, candles, ceremony decor, reception decor...my family and I didn't have to worry about setting-up a single thing, and were able to enjoy every second of getting ready in our hotel rooms. The wedding itself went flawlessly...Joseph and his team helped wrangle family members and our wedding party for photographs, made sure catering and our other vendors were setting-up as planned, and even followed me with water so I wouldn't get dry mouth during photos! At the single mention of my feet starting to hurt, Joseph darted down to the bridal room and grabbed my ballet flats so I could go on through the day without pain. :) If all of that wasn't enough, Jospeh and his team stayed late to help clean-up EVERYTHING, which was no easy feat with all of the DIY decor we had throughout the venue. He organized everything perfectly back into their boxes, and had everything arranged for us to pick up the next day. I hired J & K because I didn't want to worry about setting-up decorations with a limited time span the day of the wedding...little did I know, I would receive more than I could ever ask for. We had Reychel as our Day-Of Coordinator for our milestone anniversary last 9/30. She was awesome! I can't be happier with our choice. She was in communication with me and my vendors from the moment we signed the contract, and (thankfully) had me checking off boxes that I didn't even know about. Reychel has that "Don't worry; I'll take care of it" attitude that just allowed me to relax. On the day itself, Reychel made sure my vision was followed to the detail by all the vendors, while at the same time, taking care of us (and our entourage). She assigned someone to serve only us (food and beverages), and was checking on us throughout the evening. My sister's wedding was perfect because of Kim and Jayne. They were 10 steps ahead on every aspect, on top of every detail, and they anticipated my entire family's needs. Kim and her team served as the day-of planners for my July 2012 wedding and I can say with confidence that although I do plan events as part of my profession and had worked diligently to put the key pieces in place for the big day, it absolutely would NOT have happened without Kim and her team. A few examples: - Perfectly coordinated transportation - Made sure the timing of the day was PERFECT... from pictures to coordinating kids and adults, to the wedding party introductions and group portraits at the reception - Stepped in to do bridesmaids' hair when one of the stylists was a no-show - Walked us through the rehearsal step by step - Assembled the flowers/boquets when we realized it was a little much for the wedding party to actually do! - Coordinated a webcast of the wedding when my grandmother fell and broke her hip 3 days prior to the wedding - Mysteriously appeared by my side throughout the wedding, hot water with lemon in hand to combat my wedding-day cold - I could get ahold of Kim at ANY time in the months leading up to the wedding. Additionally, she provided a remarkable template to help us put all of the details into one place. Above all, Kim's presence was an absolute calming force and kept both my parents and I calm and relaxed throughout the entire two days. These 2 were day-of coordinators for our wedding of 300 people at a huge venue where we brought in EVERYTHING ourselves. no kidding, everything. Kim also helped me prior to the day-of with little tips and reminders here and there, which were extremely helpful, as well as attending all vendor meetings as mandated by the venue and the logistical madness of the day of. And as a perfectionist, it was hard for me to trust anyone with this big event, but I knew they would be amazing as I'd been to other events they'd done, and sure enough, they were terrific. My husband and I recently got married in Los Angeles and Joseph Fong was our day of wedding coordinator. We had an Indian fusion wedding with ~50 guests and found his company through Indian wedding blogs and Yelp. We would give him more than 5 stars if it were possible! We HIGHLY recommend him and can't imagine having planned our wedding without him! We felt at ease knowing Joseph had experience with Indian weddings and the various customs involved. He is very organized, caring, thoughtful, thorough, professional, and responsive. He is so knowledgeable; since we had never planned an event before, he was so helpful guiding us along the way and suggesting ideas of what to do and what to buy. Upon first meeting, he provided detailed spreadsheets, shared via Google, we could edit throughout the process. These included timelines, vendor contacts, inventory of supplies, action items, etc. We fined tuned these over the several months we planned and during our various in-person meetings with him at our home. He reviewed our vendor contracts, reached out to all the vendors prior to the big day, and chased down a couple of vendors that were being unresponsive. He negotiated on our behalf with the venue and our vendors; he had our backs. He was always available through email or text. We even had a couple conference calls Joseph set up with one of our vendors. The day of our wedding, we knew we were in good hands, Joseph was so on top of everything! He had picked up our boxes and boxes of supplies from our home. He unpacked and organized everything before we knew it. He laid out all our items per our drawings and sketches (we're architects) with no hiccups. Since we had a small wedding party, we didn't have a rehearsal, but Joseph was reassuring and made sure everyone knew where to stand and what to do. Joseph wasn't pushy about things going exactly per our timeline, even when I got lost and was late arriving to the venue! It's so easy to not have time to eat or drink on your wedding day with everything going on. He always made sure I was hydrated and had a drink in my hand :) Our guests and families even expressed their appreciation for him. He made us and our families priority. We needed to be out of our venue by midnight and Joseph had everything packed and boxed, again, before we knew it. J & K was absolutely amazing! I cannot say enough good things about them. They are dedicated, professional, caring, responsive, meticulous, and efficient. Our wedding would not have been possible without J & K. They really did make our wedding enjoyable for everyone! My husband and I recently got married at the Richard Nixon Library. We had an Indian wedding ceremony in the morning, followed by lunch, and we had a Persian wedding ceremony in the afternoon, followed by a cocktail hour and reception -- all in one day. To top it off, we had 10 bridesmaids and 10 groomsmen! We had a complicated wedding with many moving parts, to say the least. This is such an overdue review, but a much deserved one! My husband and I got married July 5 and after stressing out over planning for months before the wedding, we finally decided to look into wedding coordinators to keep our sanity. After researching and interviewing many coordinators, we felt most connected with Kim from Your Day by J & K. We have to say it was THE ABSOLUTE BEST DECISION EVER MADE throughout the ENTIRE WEDDING PLANNING PROCESS! We had such a great experience with Your Day by J & K, and Kim was great with keeping us in tune with all the details of wedding planning and put together a great timeline. She is the absolute sweetest person, is super understanding of our needs/desires/dislikes, and is so well-organized. She brought up issues and concerns that we wouldn't even have thought of, which was so helpful! She and her team contacted all of our vendors and helped to coordinate their arrivals. On our wedding day, we really did not have much to worry about, as the team of Your Day by J & K literally took care of everything - starting with gathering the items (i.e. food catering, flowers) from the wee hours of the morning until the end of the evening when they packed our belongings for us to head back home. On top of all this, there were apparently some major issues that came up on the day of, and we (nor our guests) had any clue about them until maybe 2 weeks after the wedding when we heard it from another vendor! Joseph and the J & K team were outstanding from the beginning of the planning process and up until the end of the wedding night. There are so many little details that go into planning an event with two different venues (church and reception) and the logistics of it all. Joseph thought of everything. I was 100% confident in the team's ability to pull off a day to remember. I questioned myself whether I wanted to hire a wedding coordinator, and I am so glad that I did. It was well worth the money spent! Joseph is a charismatic individual who shows genuine interest in the couple and their likes and dislikes and wants to make sure that you are happy, given how stressful the day is. He was very courteous and cordial with the bride and groom, and our families and guests on the day of the wedding. I honestly can't think of anything that J&K could improve upon. They took care of handling the gifts, setting up, informing my husband and I of what was coming up, etc. He was wonderful in returning phone calls and emails in less than a 24 hr. time period. He contacted all our vendors prior and made sure that everyone was informed of the day's events. In addition, the bride, groom, and Joseph were in three different cities over an hour apart from each other, yet he was so flexible and worked around our schedules to meet with us when were all in town in the vicinity of our wedding site and coordinated our phone calls between our meetings. After our engagement, I was set on planning our own wedding. I felt confident in my own planning and organizational skills. After finding a few vendors on our own, my now husband recommended that a day-of-coordinator would help relieve stress on the BIG DAY. I agreed, and based my search on YELP reviews. Your Day By J & K came up with wonderful reviews and they were exactly what we were looking for. I am NOT a "yelper" and this is actually my first review ever, but I thought I could pay it forward to someone else that is looking into wedding coordination. After the first inquiry, I immediately was contacted by Joseph Fong. He was very well spoken, professional, and knowledgeable upon our first phone conversation. Our wedding was a destination wedding, and Joseph assured us that he would be available to help us every step of the way. He maintained constant email communication with us throughout the process and even would promptly answer late night emails (and even late night worry texts the night before the wedding!). He was very eager and open to meeting all of our vendors (caterer and venue coordinator) in our absence especially since we were not California locals. This was EXTREMELY helpful, and he would give me immediate updates after he met with them! Also he has great contacts and recommended an amazing MC/DJ service (shout out to PK and Procreation Productions) for us! Joseph also was a GREAT problem solver. We had our wedding ceremony on the Santa Monica State Beach with the reception in the courtyard of the Annenberg Community Beach House. The beach ceremony was tricky. He helped to figure out amplified sound problems being that there would be crashing waves and sound can get easily lost outdoors. He walked the beach with our caterer, who was handling the ceremony set-up as well, to figure out the best configuration for the ceremony. He took into account the beach walk-out and sunset time, planning THE BEST place to get married. He also had back up plans for rain (we were married October 29th--it rained the day before and after, but not the wedding day). I think that's what I liked about him the most! He is very proactive in back up plans and also ensuring the flow of the night was on point! For example, we had a totally different idea for our reception layout. He took into account our venue restrictions such as no amplified sound outdoors (where our dinner was) and made sure that there were positive solutions (we kept the speakers in doors to meet the restriction requirements and blasted the sound through the open windows which could be heard outside in the courtyard where our reception was. Then he turned the speakers around in doors when the dancing started to create a lounge/club effect). It was truly a great solution! Joseph really listens to your individual needs and executes the best plan for every one of your small or big ideas. Honestly, although I consider myself an organized, DIY bride, Joseph and his team were a huge part of the planning and execution. Every minute of the wedding day was planned out (thanks to his very detailed schedule). His team helped to set-up and assemble our flower arrangements (purchased flowers from the LA Flower Market). He took all of the DIY decor off me hands the week of. He really made sure that the only thing I worried about was getting ready and getting married! Joseph ensures the number one priority is being present and being in the moment at your wedding! I honestly can say that I did not worry about a thing on my wedding day with Joseph and was fully present and ready to get married! Isn't that what every bride should want? I really enjoyed myself and was able to focus just on my husband and I. I can't recommend Joseph and Your Day By J & K enough! From beginning to end, Joseph handled every detail from the help with planning to the wedding rehearsal to packing your family's car with decor at the end of the night! Ivan and I could not have dreamed of a better experience with Jayne and her assistant. Seriously the best investment into our wedding was hiring Jayne! Her calm composure was something I heard my family and friends speak of before, during and after the wedding. There was so much stress relieved for Ivan and I once we knew the capable hands we were giving everything to. Everything was perfect the day of. She implemented our requests perfectly, was attentive to us, and always kept us at peace. Before I really understood the role of a wedding coordinator, I would think to myself.. what are we paying them for again? Then came all the intricate details of planning a wedding, the task of having a rehearsal, and of course, the 3498249 details to be attended to on the actual wedding day. When we met with Jayne during our planning process, we were impressed by how personable, friendly, organized, meticulous, and helpful she was. She was always available by text/email/phone calls- and responded to me so quickly and thoroughly each time I had a question or concern. She directed our wedding rehearsal very smoothly, and managed each of our vendors like a boss. I already felt really glad and grateful that we hired her. We got married last month, in mid November. Jayne was our coordinator. Let me just say, I'm glad our venue required a coordinator because i don't know what we would've done without one. And I'm so glad that I picked Jayne to help. A friend of mine got married just a few weeks before I did, but she was extremely unhappy with her coordinator. She was inattentive, unconcerned about the brides wishes, forgot what she was there for, spent most of the time trying to set up photos for her portfolio. So naturally I got really nervous. But when we had our first meeting with jayne about a month before our wedding, she made such a great impression with us. She asked all the right questions, and questions and suggestions we never even thought about. We set up our wedding rehearsal really last minute on a Saturday morning, and she was able to make time to come. When it came time for our wedding, I felt like jayne was like my big sister!
