JJ included a full inspection, lubrication of all rollers and hinges. No upselling. Just facts and good explanations. Called JJ on Friday to get an estimate for turning one of my garage doors automatic and servicing my other door. He was able to come out the next day. He went over my options and didn't try to upsell me on anything. He was also able to do all the work that day which was nice. After trying to convert one door to automatic he realized there wasn't enough space for the kind that's placed on the ceiling. He said I could get a side mount one but that they are more expensive. I realized that once he fixed the door I didn't actually need an automatic one because it was so easy to open. Which ended up saving me money. I had to leave for the day and he said he could finish and lock everything inside when he left. He did just that and sent me a video when he was done. Everything works great! He quoted me a price for the work based on the information I provided him over the phone. He was open and honest about it. He arrived in the time frame promised when I decided to proceed with the repair. He came to the house well prepared. When he arrived he got to work immediately after taking the time to listen to my concerns. He got the work done efficiently and went above and beyond. I didn't ask him but he lubricated the springs after the install and tighten a few of the loose screws on the garage door. James is very friendly and has an easy going personality so it was a delight to work with him. I'm so happy I hired him and feel I got good value for what I paid for. Overall, it was more cost effective for me to hire this company than to do the work myself. I'm a do it yourself type of person. They are able to get better quality parts than what I can get at the local Home Depot or Ace Hardware store. There is certain parts on the garage doors that aren't available at local hardware store like a garage door containment w-hook. It takes about 1-1 1/2 weeks to order online through Amazon. Garage door repairs is a speciality trade that requires careful calibration of the equipment to make it work correctly.
