Best food in Florida! We went here for my sister's rehearsal dinner and the staff were so kind and generous and made my sister & her fiance feel so celebrated. It was nice to be able to support a family owned small business. The food was amazing. I've been to Greece and the food here was authentic and true to true greek food. The fairy lights and ambiance were nice and we were allowed to bring our own decorations for her celebration. I was on a business trip to Florida and had some time before my flight. Every place I travel to I always make it a point to try local Greek food as my father was Greek and always instilled the importance in supporting Greek owned restaurants and businesses. I managed to find this place as I was filling my rental car at a nearby gas station. Fate right? I made my way there and the area was busy with limited parking but that did not stop me. I was able to find a spot as someone was leaving. Walking in I was greeted warmly by a young teenager working the register. I decided to order a souvlaki pork gyro and fries. As I sat I got to see the decor that gave me nostalgia of summers in Greece as a little girl. The Greek flag and icons instantly made me feel like I was at my Thea's house back in Greece. The place was busy and I took that as a good omen. My food was brought to me by the lovely owner who I had the chance to exchange conversations with. She was so warm and friendly and made me a stranger to this city feel right at home. The food, can I tell you this is the best gyro I have tasted in America. That is a bold statement coming from a Greek girl but it's the truth. The souvlaki pork was so juicy and flavorful and the tzaziki with the fixings and fries so good! The only thing I'm upset about is not buying an extra gyro for my flight home. If you are ever in Palm Beach you need to stop here. I really like this place, although this was my first time eating there instead of getting food to go. You order at the counter and then sit at a table. It can be a bit of a wait when several people/groups show up at the same time. One thing I don't like is restaurants that dole out your paper napkins. Usually in places where you order at a counter there are napkin dispensers on the tables or located in a corner with the straws. As the owner was taking orders and acting as a server, it wasn't easy to get her quickly. She's extremely nice, however, and was very helpful regarding my friend's hot pepper allergy. After putting in our order, she came over to tell us that the fries had paprika and wouldn't be safe for my friend. She was able to substitute a pita and hummus appetizer as her side dish instead. The food is very good. My friend's gyro was huge, and I love the Cousin's Salad. Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Onions, Feta Cheese, Olives & Chickpeas -- delicious! I observed it to be a very family friendly restaurant. Very welcoming and relaxing. The restaurant is clean, brightly lit and offers, everything from drinks see the meal and desserts. Unfortunately, this was not a good find despite good reviews on Yelp. I will always offer up an honest review because that's what I'm all about. Otherwise what's the point, right? We ordered the sampler platter with tzatziki, hummus, dolmades and falafel. The hummus and the falafel were good. Two of us ordered the gyros salad with chicken - the salad was fresh and the dressing tasty but the chicken was dry and not tasty at all. We could not eat more than a few bites. One of our guests had the lamb dinner with rice - the rice was good and the lamb was not bad.
