I don't do to the mall often. However, the needed to purchase something last minute and I was starving of course. I'm always hungry First off, the presentation of the food is really nice, it drew me in. I was given a sample of the chicken kebab with a drizzle of their garlic sauce and it was delicious. We got one order of the chicken kebabs and high comes with two skewers that have 3 thick chunks of tender chicken. I opted for the spicy orange rice instead of the white rice. Delicious! I wasn't a fan of the chickpeas because they were on the watery side. I would highly suggest this meal to the boatloads of teens that walk through this mall and pass right by this place just to get a fries and nuggets or chic fil a or Popeyes or choose to eat other garbage. This meal is delicious, filling and made with love. It's really good food!

First time diner in at this place and I must say the food and quantity was amazing for the price and I hope they keep it that way if they want to stay in the business. The moment our food arrived, we could tell it would taste just as delicious as it looked and we were so right. We ordered a Gyro platter, a chicken kabob platter and a beef kabob platter. All were cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. The wait time was merely 15 mins, service was top notch and fast and the place was cleaned and well maintained. Best of all is that they are Halal (kosher) as confirmed by the owner who had opened a halal business in the same mall a few years ago. Staff is friendly and can accommodate and make adjustments into your order if you request. Definitely a highly recommended place. They also have a $5 to go menu which is a little different from traditional dine in menu and it is well suited for those who work and want to grab a bite on their way home from Update: my second visit at this place this past weekend was just as pleasant as the first one. This time we tried New York Steak which I must say was one of the best halal steak I had in SoFL. The quality of meat and it's texture and the perfection with which it was cooked made it delicious. It's a must try if you like steak.

Fabulous fresh food and great service! David is the best! The best chicken wings! Not to mention their burger, salads, sandwiches and gyro! Everything is absolutely delicious and freshly prepared!!!! The wings are moist, crispy and delicious! So inexpensive! Amazing freshly made spanakopita! Better than mine! Great wine and beer selection and prices! $5.00 for a huge glass of wine! Really this restaurant should have a waiting list to get in! Great owner who makes you feel like family! Please try this delicious restaurant when you are at the Wellington Mall!!!! Across from the Food Court. Next to Ford's Garage..

What a pleasant surprise this was! I was really hungry but was wishing for something on the healthier side that day....Boom! Here this place was. Location: It is in the Food Court of the Wellington Green Mall. It has it's own area that's within the hustle and bustle yet it has it's own vibe and atmosphere with a dine in option. Customer service: I was very pleased with how quick I was greeted and the explanation of the menu. I didn't want to do a seated service because I was in a bit of a hurry and wanted it to go. The hostess explained everything I would get with the lunch to go option and it was ready a semi short time later. The food: They have a $5 menu option for smaller plates....if that was the smaller plate I am not quite sure I could handle an entree size. I had the chicken kabob with rice and a salad. It was really delicious. The rice had a nice texture and light flavor. The salad was not drenched in dressing it was actually plain with very fresh tomato, lettuce, and cheese. The chicken was awesome! Overall I look forward to going back for shopping and eating lunch here

Some of best gyro I have ever had, but I fear this mom and pop shop in pricey per square foot Wellington Mall won't be around to enjoy for very long. Bipolar, have-it-our way marketing will be its undoing. Is it an upscale Mediterranean restaurant? The booths and tables say yes. The paper menus, No! They look like they were laid out by some third cousin Nikki. Nikki? You know Nikki! Spiro's boy. The one with the lazy eye... One menu item blends into the other. They need a sit down menu. Maybe offer the bargain menu at the wine bar. At least they might make it up in beer and wine. They offer some nice sandwiches, but, because they're priced for "Take Out Only" you can't order them for sit-down. Charge more for the sandwich. Let people eat what they want at your tables. Elegant look is countered by big brash take-out worthy signage over the bar, and equally big, garish deal signs in front of the place. The bar is lovely. The giant Pepsi refrigerator with walk away drinks is both deserted and undercuts the food, and a better price point. It confuses passers by for sure. So enjoy while you can !

This was my first and last time here. I typically only post if I really like a restaurant. I ordered the gyro plate. I could not add hummus as a side. I ordered sautéed chickpeas, which tasted like nuked canned chickpeas. The lamb meat was actually 2 large squares of meat. The pita was warmed up with no evidence of grilling. It was very bland.

Gyro lamb. This is the worst Gyro I've had it's called it's full of sauce done very poorly. Will never buy one here I've had many gyros
    Mario M.

Worst Gyro and presentation I've ever seen it's so wet with the sauce and it's cold it's not like most lamb gyros I get. One star is too much. I told the girl upfront and it was like nothing. Should go to Souvlaki fast they have the special and it taste 100 Times better. Need to go there to learn how to make a real lamb Gyro.

I was visiting friends, and since her family is pretty big, this has become their go-to restaurant. She mentioned that the staff never hesitates when a large party walks in and always accommodates everyone without making it feel like an inconvenience. The dining room is one large, open space with tables throughout, creating a lively atmosphere. I absolutely loved it. It was filled with people enjoying incredible food, and you could tell this place was a local favorite. Of course, I had to start with one of their Greek beers, served in a traditional beer mug, which was the perfect way to kick off the meal. We also ordered the tzatziki and hummus sampler, and I'm so glad we did. The flavors were unbelievable, and they were incredibly generous with the warm pita bread. Honestly, I ate so much of the sampler that by the time it came to order my entrée, all I could manage was a piece of grilled chicken. Even then, I found myself dipping the chicken into the hummus and tzatziki because they were just that good. I left completely full, happy, and even had leftovers to take home. The staff was fantastic--everyone worked together seamlessly, helping one another and making sure every table was taken care of. It created such a welcoming atmosphere. After eating here, it's easy to understand why this restaurant has so many outstanding reviews. The food, service, and overall experience absolutely live up to the hype.

Next to the restaurant there are amazing stores and when your done eating you can go shopping. I got the Greek salad which is a staple there, the fresh vegetables and the cheese is the right amount of bite. I would have ordered two salads because you really want your own. We had the warm pita bread with the taziki, the best part of the meal, this is freshly made and trust me, you taste the garlic in every bite. It's so fresh and homemade. The spanakopita is ok, I get it every once in a while but it's not my favorite. They make a lot of good dishes. I highly recommend this place.

I usually ate here at least twice a month or more for six years. And brought guests constantly . The food was always well prepared and at a reasonable price. The owner was always very friendly. BUT I will never again go back to Sofra after my experience last night. Last night I went with a couple of people that I had raved about this restaurant to. The owner, who certainly must've recognized me from the countless times I've eaten there in five years, barely grunted at me and the vibes I got from him were not very welcoming. He seemed really angry about something and was taking it out on his customers. There was only one other table that had customers and this was a Friday night. I found that really odd because other restaurants surrounding Sofra had lots of people sitting outside eating at their restaurants I ordered a falafel plate and others at our table ordered the İskender and another entrée. I practically passed out when I got the bill because I guess I didn't check the prices when I was ordering. The falafel plate, which was basically a spoonful of salad, a spoonful of rice, a few hard burned falafel, soup and a dribbling of tahini was $33. This is obscene. When this restaurant first opened they were charging for the same plate $15 and then they went to $25 after a few years which I thought was pretty high for the food we were getting but $33 is just plain greedy. I won't even do a review on the other two entrées because my party could barely eat them. I now see why there was nobody, literally nobody in this restaurant on a Friday night. And the owner, what happened to him? he used to be such a friendly guy and now he is just an angry man. The waitress never went back to check on us and refill our water after taking our order. Despite only two tables with customers in this restaurant. I read some of the reviews where owner says he hates the fucking country so why doesn't he just leave? There's plenty of really good Mediterranean restaurants that are not going to charge this kind of money for Mediterranean food. Even if the felafel was the best falafel I've ever eaten in my entire life - $33 is crazy. And it was not very good felafel - in fact all the food is mediocre. Where it once was amazing. So my suggestion to the owner is to lower his prices, improve the quality of his food and improve his attitude

Enjoying a sunny day with our best friends from med school and residency who left the winters of PA behind to live in Florida. Celebrating life, family and friendship. Ordered a Mediterranean Skillet with skillet potatoes and a sunny side up egg. (You know I already looked at the quite extensive menu the night before.) My hubby ordered the same to match me. Our friends got a My Big Fat Greek Omelet and a Heathy Omelet with onions added. The skillet potatoes are more like a scalloped potato casserole. Milk, cream, cream cheese, scallions and shredded potatoes. So rich and creamy. The Mediterranean Skillet adds grilled red onions, mushrooms, peppers, Kalamata olives, sun-dried tomatoes and a generous sprinkle of goat cheese. Topped with two eggs, it is decadently delicious. Bread options included scones, toast or biscuits. Our table tried all of them. My scone was so delicious. I only ate half because my skillet was so delicious and so filling. My friend loved her biscuit and my hubby loved his scone. Sophia was great. She kept checking on us with a warm smile and refills of coffee. Lots of parking on a Sunday morning.
