    Jagerschnitzel plate

Man, I highly recommend this place. It's friendly and inviting. A perfect place to go and get some good food and a drink. Ill definitely be coming back. Cheers!!

Best schnitzel hands down with very friendly patrons and bartender. We were visiting for a few days and everyone was very welcoming and have us a lot of suggestions on where to visit. Portions here are generous and the beers are refreshing.

We were drawn to this place by the pics of the pretzel and brats and of course by the name... it's such fun to hear the GPS say, "Your Mom's House is on the right." This is a super fun place tucked into the tiny neighborhood of El Granada, and it definitely had the feel of a neighborhood spot. The hubs and I opted for the weinerschnitzel (even though we came for the brats this looked delicious) with German potato salad and the preztel. The pretzel has a slightly different texture because it's fried but still fantastic! And the beer cheese that comes w/ it is spot on - you can very clearly tell it's made of beer and cheese... the pickled onions were a nice touch. This is a super fun place and a great alternative to the seafood places that are so plentiful.

Incredible beer selection with a unique variety of brats and sausages. Wish I could try all of them, have been back several times and love the boar, the lamb, the duck. The deep fried pretzel with house made beer cheese lives rent free in my mind, it is everything you could want with a beer. The sauekraut and potato salad are wonderfully fresh, would take a huge jar of either home. So happy to have such a great spot so close to home!

Schnitzel sandwich (awesome!!), soft pretzel with beer cheese and bratwurst with coleslaw and potato salad sides.

I was craving a soft pretzel with cheese and searched on yelp and Your Mom's Haus DELIVERED!!! It was so good and totally hit the spot. This pace is cute and fun. Lots of delicious German food, we loved the potato salad and my partner enjoyed the bratwurst. He had 1/2 potato salad and 1/2 coleslaw as sides which the bartender recommended and it was GREAT! The potatos were perfectly cooked and all of the mustards they offer as sides were fantastic. The brand of mustard they use Inglehoffer is so delicious and there were a bunch of varieties to try. Overall a cozy and friendly vibe here and some of the seating by the windows you can see the ocean. The crowd was a diverse mix of people after work, families with kids, young couples and locals. It feels like a special neighborhood spot where everyone is welcoming and chill. The schnitzel sandwich was golden perfection and the swiss cheese it came with was awesome. We both had one of their sour beers which is from a local Belmont brewery and was amazing. We got the impression the bartender really knew all the beers well and could make custom recommendations for whatever you are in the mood for. Definitely loved our time here and looking forward to coming back- recommend checking this place out!

This place is awesome!! Great food (exotic selection of brats) and a wide selection of German and local beers. Very friendly and attentive staff. I'll be back..

Food menu launches next week. Definitely looking forward to checking it out again. It's a smaller place with a great beer selection. You order at the bar and grab a seat. Very local vibe, but super friendly. It was already lively around 5pm with about 20 people, I had to raise my voice to talk across the table, but that's just part of the atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable. I also appreciate that it sticks to being a true pub, no craft cocktails, just good beer and good times.

I wasn't brave enough to try the exotic meats like Rattlesnake, rabbit or other meat like wild boar sausages, so on my first visit l stuck to a CA. hot link which did not disappoint! It was juicy (or maybe it was the sauerkraut) but my bun disintegrated as a result! My only surprise was the 4% surcharge for not paying cash, but l am told that's standard. Most restaurants mention that, or have signage on the menu, but l only spotted it as it was slipped onto my receipt. Anyway, I'll know better next time!

When trying to decide where to get dinner on Main Street, we couldn't make a decision. My husband suggested Cameron's so we drove over. Dog Friendly: Lucked out with a spot in front of the patio! Lucked out with a table (anywhere) to sit with our dog. They offer water bowls and toys to play with while we're dining. My dog was able to chill for the most part (larger dogs make our rescue pup nervous) but he liked the couple behind us. Eclectic: It's a cool place with different dining areas. They were setting up for Karaoke (Friday/Saturday nights). There's so much to explore with all the knick knacks. The playlist in the dining room area was a wide range of music - I don't know how to explain it but you're listening to "It's a Small World" and then "Sweet Caroline!" You have to see it for yourself. The gender assigned restrooms are located in between the pinball machines. I literally walked outside and then walked back in when I finally found it and was embarrassed! Food: We split the special of the day - prime rib sandwich, but my husband was still hungry and we split a sampler platter. The food was what I expected - pub grub but it was worth it with the vibe. Drink: I usually don't drink but their cocktails were really good. I forgot what I had but it was the rum based drink. Overall, I hope I don't wait another 10 years to return - that was a great ending to our day trip to Half Moon Bay.

The food was good, could have been a little better, I had fish and chips and partner had the shepards' pie. The fish and chips were good I would totally eat them again. But the shepard's pie was not good. It was completely unseasoned. He tried adding some HP sauce to a few bites, adding salt and pepper, and just could not make it edible. he was really disappointed because that is one of his favorites. I told him he should mention it and see if they could bring him something else, but he was adamant that would just make more work for them and he'd feel bad. I did remind him that shepards' pie is not a very seasoned meal. And he said it wasn't just that, but that everything tasted like it came out of tin. I reminded him, as a human who has lived in England, that this was also not out of the ordinary. We did decide we'd try it again next time we were over that way, and he already has chosen something else to try, so the rest of it (including his Mango Cider) was good enough to have him not give up on it. But maybe steer clear of the Shepard's Pie?

A must-visit place for anyone living in the area (4/5 Green Stars)…read moreBring cash! That's the first rule of Schmidt's Pub. Maybe it's the only rule! I've been coming here a bit more regularly, lately - more visits in the last year compared to the previous decade, in fact. Now I wonder what I was waiting for. According to the East Bay Express, Schmidt's Pub is "basically your living room, but better" - that does sum it up, except that very few of us have living rooms anything like this, with a cozy fireplace surrounded by comfy armchairs and rustic tables beside sunny windows. Not many of us have living rooms with Old Speckled Hen on tap, or populated with an entertaining parade of quirky folk and friendly dogs. If the people and dogs are not entertaining enough then pick up a copy of Calvin and Hobbes or A History of Clay Pipes (okay, I made that one up) and have a little retreat with a pint. 4/5 Green Stars for social and environmental impact, based on these factors: * Beer on tap (transported in reusable kegs) has a much lower footprint compared to bottles or cans. * Allows you to bring your own food, which is good for folk like vegans who are often more comfortable with BYO. * The snacks available at the counter could be a bit more Berkeley (or Albany)! They were mostly from big corps - Lays chips (PepsiCo) and chocolate bars from Mars. Would be nice to see a more imaginative/ethical selection. * A great community space with an inclusive atmosphere. Schmidt's is home to many groups (e.g., knitting) and provides a second family for many, some who send postcards from their trips! * Finally, we shouldn't underestimate the importance of having a place to slow down, reflect and connect with each other a little. In that respect, Schmidt's Pub is worth its weight in gold.

I never waited in the beverage line for more than a few minutes. Food was ordered at the bar and servers ran it out. I had no difficulty hearing the match over the noise of the crowded venue. Water was supplied next to the bar and was self service. It was constantly kept full. I never saw it empty. My wife and I had just visited Abbey Tavern this past weekend, a premier Scottish pub in the City, and we expected a similar atmosphere. However, the moment we showed up, we were met with great disappointment. The Goose & Fern is honestly a terrible place to watch a sports match: there was only a single TV mounted in the back corner of the restaurant, the TV wasn't particularly large, and the speakers had been turned completely off. What a bust. Although the food was decent, especially the Shepherd's pie -- which came piping hot in a small cast iron skillet, the service was downright dreadful and almost non-existent. We never received waters (or were even asked if we wanted beverages), our table wasn't given enough silverware, we were never checked on during the meal, and we were waiting around for 30 minutes twiddling our thumbs before somebody from our party finally went up to try to pay for the check. In hindsight, a tip was not warranted for the lack of service. Overall, Yelp grossly misled me on The Goose & Fern. This is not a spot I would stop by again to watch a sporting match. If you're in this part of Santa Rosa, do yourself a favor and head over to Dave and Busters down the street where they have a bunch of massive screens, tons of beer options, and service that will far surpass what you're getting here.
