"Jumbo" shrimp cocktail
Tina B.

Extremely disappointed with lunch offerings. The "jumbo shrimp" as another commenter stated probably was from a frozen Costco bag. Not one steak on the lunch menu even though the name is "Mullins Steakhouse." It's just a glorified snack joint for golfers. Service was slow and inconsistent, although staff were exceptionally nice. A group of 4 were sat after, but ate and cashed out before our table of 2.

****beware**** Mullins WITHOUT A DOUBT , dilutes or water-downs their alcohol. We sat at the bar and ordered an old fashioned. Suspecting something was "off" about the drink, we proceeded to say it tasted watered down. Originally hailing from kentucky, my wife and I have a nose for the brown nectar of the gods. Suffice to say they didn't believe us though other patrons at the bar thought the same thing . More to come .... Stay away

This restaurant is right in Ritz Carlton's zone so you'd have to let the guy in the parking lot know you're heading here and they'll let you through. Got here around 11:30, and it was pretty empty but it got busy in about an hour. Service: 5/10. The waiters here are nice but they're definitely not attentive. We had to walk up to them to ask for a table-- the waitress told us anywhere so we sat outside and asked her to wipe the table because it was wet... she said sure and never came back. A different server almost spilled water on us, and we ended up having to walk up to them and ask for our check and boxes. Food: 8/10. Fish sliders- The fish was cooked perfectly-- melted in our mouth and so so soft. Clam chowder- A little bit too salty, very little clams, and too many pieces of bacon. It was delicious though! Fried chicken sandwich- Generous serving. Chicken was fried to perfection and very tender. Tuna salad- SO good! Pretty sure tuna was house-made as it was fluffy and fresh. Vegetables served with this were also fresh and cut up into bite sized pieces. Mullin's Frito Misto- Calamari, prawns, and French fries. Wasn't too greasy, thank god. I could tell they were freshly fried as they were crispy on the outside and soft on the outside. We really liked how the French fries were seasoned! All 5 dishes were shared among 4 adults, and we still had leftovers. I would recommend this restaurant for their delicious bar food, but I wouldn't expect too much from in terms of service.

A casual spot with a lively vibe, perfect for a family or ladies lunch. Great service, full bar and the food is delicious. Lucky to have Mullins in my neighborhood.

The food and service were excellent. We had Cobb salads and Caesars with salmon. The only problem was the phone lines were not responding.

Chef Roberto is the best. Ribeye was to die for. The salad was crispy and fresh. The scallops were amazing.

Mostly a bar with a minimal menu. Didn't have any soup of the day. No entrees no chef. Just drunk golfers.

Love their Friday prime rib. Personally, I prefer this to House of Prime Rib in San Francisco. Great value as well for the SF Bay Area.

Food, Service and Ambiance were spot on each time! Some of our favorites for breakfast were the chiliquilas, smoked salmon bagel and the pancakes with a side of chocolate chips were our kids' go to order. Dinner we enjoyed the Cioppino, calm chowder and the kids loved their burgers. We even invented a new drink, a Guinness with a shot of espresso. The servers knew it well and kept them coming, LOL! We can't wait to go back to visit again! Thank you HMB Ritz and The Conservatory!

I have to say I was very pleased with the quality of service: there was always someone nearby to ask questions, and each of our servers were beyond welcoming and helpful. Nothing beats an ocean view in Half Moon Bay. I was glad to be seated near the windows to enjoy the ambiance. All of the seats had a good view though. I was excited to try a handful of different breakfast options: berries, belgian waffles, mimosas, oatmeal, hashbrowns, and the lox bagel. I wasn't even hungry but I finished everything. Maybe it was the mimosas I had, but each dish was very appetizing and filling. Our server noticed that I love mimosas, so she personally made me a special one: Kombucha mimosa! I enjoyed everything about this restaurant. The view, the service, the comfortable seats, and the classic options with elevated taste.

The Moss Beach Distillery is stunning, boasting a rich history, a captivating story, and has a phenomenal view. One thing to note about accessibility: while there are steps, I didn't spot any wheelchair access to the main entrance. The restaurant has two levels. When you first enter, you're actually on the second floor, which feels like a beautiful, elevated space. From there, you can head down to the first floor for additional seating and the restrooms. I ordered a cup of clam chowder, priced around $11, and a side of sweet potato fries, also about $11. My boyfriend went for the prawn cocktail and clam chowder. We both agreed that this clam chowder was exceptional and a step up from what we had in Santa Cruz! It was wonderfully thick and bursting with flavor. I even felt it rivaled the clam chowder I had in Monterey, which I've always considered the best. The scenery, the ambiance, and the incredibly friendly waitstaff all contributed to a truly beautiful experience. I'm so glad I decided to come here!

Although I didn't feel any spirits during my time here, I believe the ghost stories. Makes the experience more interesting. What used to be a speakeasy during the prohibition period is now a cozy restaurant right on the cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The view was spectacular, no matter where you sit in the restaurant. You order and pay at the bar, and then they bring you your food and drinks. At first, I sat outside on the patio, but I had no reception so I needed to go back upstairs and decided to sit in the room left of the bar. It was cozy. The weather was moody and I was still able to experience those ocean views. Make sure to connect to the Wi-Fi for the best reception. For a quick bite, I ordered the French onion soup (which they are known for) and I also ordered the Caesar salad. Probably one of the best French onion soups I've ever had, and knowing that the kitchen it was made in is probably haunted made it taste a little bit better. I would definitely come back.

The food was good, could have been a little better, I had fish and chips and partner had the shepards' pie. The fish and chips were good I would totally eat them again. But the shepard's pie was not good. It was completely unseasoned. He tried adding some HP sauce to a few bites, adding salt and pepper, and just could not make it edible. he was really disappointed because that is one of his favorites. I told him he should mention it and see if they could bring him something else, but he was adamant that would just make more work for them and he'd feel bad. I did remind him that shepards' pie is not a very seasoned meal. And he said it wasn't just that, but that everything tasted like it came out of tin. I reminded him, as a human who has lived in England, that this was also not out of the ordinary. We did decide we'd try it again next time we were over that way, and he already has chosen something else to try, so the rest of it (including his Mango Cider) was good enough to have him not give up on it. But maybe steer clear of the Shepard's Pie?

The service was also good: we were greeted and seated promptly, and our server checked in on us frequently. I really liked the food. I got the beef pastie and it was a nice comfort food on a cool foggy Half Moon Bay evening. The beef and peas were well seasoned, the pastry was nice, and the gravy was tasty. My wife got the artichoke soup and was blown away. It was rich, a little creamy, and very flavorful. I also appreciated the bread bowl it was in had a toasted top. We'll be back, especially because I want to try the fish and chips!
