Quality! Value!! They truly care about their customers!! Believe it or not my appointment to take this tree out was it 7:00 a.m. Tuesday morning January 6th. It happened to be the day of the fires, however it wasn't known yet, as the fires were barely getting started. The company called me at 7:00 am to inform me that they needed to cancel and reschedle my appointment due to the wind. They said they will reschedule if the wind subsides during the day,or as soon as was safe to come.( Which we know now it went the opposite direction.) I let them know I was concerned about this tree and if the winds got bad I was worried about branches or even worse maybe the whole tree falling on my house. The decision to even remove my beautul tree was due to that I did not think it was healthy enough to withstand strong wind. Well even though it was dangerous and even though the protocol would be to cancel. Jesse did not let that happen. He figured something else out for me, put me on the schedule in the wind, brought a crane, and at 9:00 in the morning about six guys showed up, And you know the rest of the story! He literally saved me that day. And after knowing what we know with that wind and fire. I do believe that she probably would have fallen and it wouldn't have been good. I loved the job at my mother- in laws house in Westlake and my mom's job In Camarillo. I live in Oak Park and the houses are very close together.This is another reason for using this company. There are trees between each of the houses which can create a problem. Our leaves always blow into the neighbors and visa versa. I got permission from the neighbors on each side. They parked one of their giant trucks in the only entrance/exit to our condo complex which nearly caused an accident with me trying to leave and go around them while another car could not see me because of the giant truck and tried to go in. It caused the other car to have to back out into traffic because I was wedged between. When I rolled down my window to ask them to please move their truck elsewhere that was not so dangerous (The other three trucks were parked on the road properly with cones which were not in the way at all), the two gentlemen standing by it rolled their eyes and told me they'd move when they were finished. This company was amazing. The tree expert arrived at our home exactly as promised , gave us sound advice about cutting down and removing our large dead tree. He also recommended a new tree they would plant with a reasonable estimate for the entire job. The awesome crew arrived early and worked quickly to remove the dead tree. They were very professional, courteous, and safely cleaned up the entire area in our yard . They then planted a healthy new tree, all within a three hour time period. With El Niño coming up, coupled with the strong winds we get up in Camarillo Heights, I was concerned about several not too healthy 60 foot high Acacias I had on my property. If any of them fell my house and/or my neighbors could suffer some significant damage. I knew I needed a company that was bonded and insured and had a certified arborist on their staff. At first, wanting to give business to a local company, I called what seemed to be a reputable Camarillo tree trimming business. They sent someone out who assessed the job, gave me a verbal preliminary estimate and promised to get back to me in a couple days after he had consulted with his boss. After at least 2 weeks and numerous phone calls to their office, I still had not had the courtesy of a return phone call. So I went on Yelp and found Your Way Tree Service in Tarzana. A very pleasant gal in the office set up an appointment. Patrick arrived on time on the specified date, spent a good deal of time assessing the health of my trees, his recommendations and my expectations, and gave me a detailed proposal. Finding the proposal agreeable, we set up a date and time for the job. Over the next couple weeks, after our first decent rain this year, along with the fierce winds, I had a 30 foot tree just snap off at the base and fall down. Romero, the foreman, and his crew arrived on time on the specified date and we took a walk around the property, discussing the job. I pointed out several vines and other plants that were a concern to me and he promised to pay special attention to them. We also discussed the fallen tree and it's removal. It didn't add any more to the agreed upon price. I was amazed at the teamwork necessary to not only take down the trees but also to protect surrounding vegetation. Watching the guys work was like watching a well choreographed dance. Everyone knew what they needed to be doing, where they needed to be and when. And during the process, Romero (who worked right along with his crew) would consult with me periodically about his recommendations for preserving the vegetation I didn't want damaged. In the end, they saved most of my vines, didn't damage any other vegetation, cut up some firewood for me, hauled away all debris and left the property in great shape. This is not the first time that they have failed to provide excellent customer service! This has happened multiple times with them and every time it's some excuse! I had a BIG pine to be removed. It was close to the house, starting to lean dangerously and between my house and my neighbors - a difficult job in close quarters. I call three places for a quote - one didn't call back, one no bid after looking at it and Your Way gave me a bid much lower than I was expecting. We made an appoint for the following week. They sent a crew of 5 guys to my house and took the tree out in less than a day. I could tell the workers were well trained - they were expert at cutting big branches and lowering them to the ground using several guys with guide ropes under complete control. They were careful about their personal safety and the surrounding property. I had a row of sprinkler valves directly under the tree - 9 valves on plastic pipes sticking 2 feet out of the ground. They protected them the whole time and nothing was damaged. They had one climber with rigging and gear who spent the day in the tree cutting and directing the lowering of branches as he removed them, some of which would have made respectable-sized trees on their own . He was very good and very careful. They cleaned up afterward and even interrupted their work to clear a path to the garage when I found I had left my car in the garage and was snowed in by tree branches waiting to be chipped up. Great job. We had 2 large pines and a small one, that were leaning heavily on our backyard hill. One of their guys showed up and gave a professional estimate of the work. They explained what would be done and some options how they might need to cart the materials away. On the day they showed up on time. Greeted us. Explained how they were going to do it. I had two estimators come a few months apart, as the estimate expires after three months. The second estimate was significantly higher and when I asked him about it, he said, well I'm the owner and unlike the others he didn't have quotas to meet. As annoyed as surprised as I was at that obnoxious answer, they were still the lowest price so I hired them anyway. The job was to cut down a very large ash tree and remove four plants. Towards the end of the afternoon, the crew supervisor said they couldn't cut the tree down as much as originally quoted and had to stop where they were or it would kill the tree. I've since had two different tree services tell me that was a a bold faced lie and they were lazy, as the ash tree is extremely hardy and could definitely have been trimmed more. Of the four plants they were supposed to remove, they only removed three as they said they couldn't get to one a it was behind a fence but they used plant killer so it should be fine. Lo and behold, it didn't work and it has completely grown back along with two of the others. Obviously they only cut down vs. removing. Learned my lesson with this one -- they are cheap, but in this case you get what you pay for. (I've since had the ash tree cut down again and much more than they did and it's doing just fine.) read more

This is an update after purchasing additional services from their Landscaping department. Irvin did a fantastic job of helping with our landscaping including installing root barrier, leveling plot, installing/ fixing irrigation system for a fair price. There was one small misunderstanding and I am thoroughly impressed with how Irving is handling it so professionally. I mention this because you see the true degree of customer service when their is misalignment with customer. I had Your Way Tree Service come out when I was about to put an offer on a home to purchase. They were able to quote what all the tree work would cost (trimming, pruning, etc) as well as identify a tree that was dead, a tree that was dying, and 15 ficus trees that were going to cause root problems to me and roof damage to my neighbor. So smart and knowledgeable! The only downside is once we moved in, they were booked for 6 weeks before they could come and do their 2 days of tree service for us.
