This place sucks ass they make you wait like hell and the young receptionist is very rude and I feal like slappin her ass up side the head

Run! don't walk, for the exits. We are NEVER, EVER, EVER going back again. I don't have time to expand the review now. I will say you would be better off paying cash out of pocket at one of the two Bay Area Dental Schools (both in San Francisco) than going to Youthful Tooth. In fact, you might be better off going to a Southern California Dental School than going here. Many bonafide dentists have payment plans, discounts for the needy, etc. You are NOT STUCK using Youthful Tooth. If the ONLY thing you need is a dental exam, then fine. Go here. And then go to REAL dentist or pediatrician to make sure they didn't miss anything. (Your pediatrician can do a basic dental exam if your child's anatomy is fairly typical.) Do not allow your child near their X-ray machine. Do not allow their techs to work on your child. Do not allow them to do surgery including restorations (filling cavities) and dental prophylaxis (cleaning). Do not allow them to medicate your child. Just Say No! The legally magic words are: "I do NOT consent." And all of these issues come ahead of their infamous customer service sensibilities. (Read the other reviews for details.) I DO have ONE good thing to say about these people: They are slightly better than Western Dental- but just slightly. read more

My daughter had her cavity filling today here at youthful tooth and honestly I wasn't going to get it done here because of the reviews...after thinking long and hard about it I gave it a shot! They did not let me in the back which I had anticipated to be but after all of the anxiety my daughter came out 20 minutes later proud to show me the work they had done! Mind you a very strong 5 yr old no crying no squirming not scared one bit. I drilled her on how they treated her and she told me they were really nice and quick and she didn't feel a thing. The wait in the waiting room is long about 45 min wait but what is most important to me is how they treated my daughter thank you! read more

Very poor Dr wouldn't let us go back with our kids never met the Dr dentist too crowded lied about how many cavities my kids had I went to Muir station smile to get a second opinion and instead of 7 cavities for my son at your full Muir station smile said 3 and weren't going to do anything to the two because there coming out anyway and my daughter they wanted to put silver caps at youthful and at Muir station smile in Martinez is soooo much better and way more trust worthy you get to go back see the x rays and it's just and awesome place Muir station smile that is not youth full tooth I wouldn't recommend a dead rabbit to go there read more

This is a so called pediatric dentist! Please... My poor baby girl 13yrs old she is now terrified of dentist thanks to Dr. NAPOLEAN he is an asshole pardon my language, he hurt my daughter so bad and never communicated to her what he was doing she almost threw up during the procedure and he wouldnt stop so she can breath, he pinched her lip several times and mu daughter would just have tears coming out her eyes and she would raise her hand so he would stop and Im glad I was there with her but he would losten to me either he did not wait at all after numbing her right away he started drilling and she felt everything she refuses to go back there. Ok we have been here a couple times for my nieces teeth and the dentist is ok the front staff needs to work on there customer service a little better the front receptionist has an attitude and when asked a question is rude.. just be sure to be waiting since they make appointments at a certain time for you and it takes about 1 hr after your appointment to be seen, but it's not a big deal to them but if your late it is a big deal to them.. if you call you always get the answer machine and you never get a phone call back. read more

I took my 2 year old brother in for his first ever dental appointment and of course he will be scared. so he started crying out loud. I mean come on.. Kids don't like weird metal shit in their mouth. Brought my younger sister in for procedure, appointment was @10:45, we didn't leave until 1:10 from the place not only that but half way through her procedure the dentist working on her walked out because she felt "sick" and another dentist had to come in and finish. I took my daughter to this place thinking that for the location and place this office was going to be great. The office don't look really organize and clean. The chairs are all old, detached and dirty. The equipment for the X - Rays is old fashion and it hurts inside when the person bites it or when close mouths. Same person that does the X - Rays is the same doing the cleaning. Was a man on our visit. The man even hurt my daughter's lips when he was doing the job. He didn't lift up my daughter's lip when he was adding the Vitamin to protect the teeth (or whatever they call it). I really don't believe they are graduated or specialized on this area. Don't have experience, careful, kindness and sensitivity. I felt guilty for bringing my daughter there I wished turn back time and not go there I felt different when I walk into that office I didn't like it at first since I got in but It was time for my daughter's routine cleaning that I wanted give it a try I thought sometimes the look is not important is the people that makes the difference and make it worth it. The waiting really is terrible. Especially when your a working parents and makes an appointment in the morning that way you can make it to work on time. Of course, I learned my lesson twice here. Waited 1 hour pass out appointment time. To make my appointment time I came even earlier so that means almost 1 hour and 30 mins later nothing. It happened once. I took my boys here so many time and a lot of the time we come here we have to wait for an hour for them to call into the room....i actually walk out on them twice...because of the waiting time was too long...they should have never over booked their patient n the patient should not have to wait that long to be seen....if my appointment is at 10:45am when they there 10 min early n expected to be seen at 10:45am not at 11:40am....this what happen today...especially when you're a working parents....i try to get early appointment so I can make it to work on time later...n I drove all the way here from Fairfield....not professional at all...im wasting my time with this place...I need to find a better place den this...I'm not talking my boys back here anymore....I have enough!!!... read more

My daughter had work done here and they were wonderful with her. We had taken her to Western Dental and they were so mean to her that I walked out with her before they even did any work. I thought I'd never get her to willingly go back to a dentist. But the staff here were wonderful. They made her feel at ease and we got through the procedure with no issues at all. It's alway very busy with new patients and make people wait for more than an hour for a regular 6months cleaning appointments.

One day I was in the waiting room, and one lady walks in yelling at them and telling them "why did you tell me that my daughter has cavities when she doesn't" She took a second opinion and they told her that her daughter did not have any. And she advice everybody who was waiting to leave this place, since they just wanted to make money. After that day, it made me think --- did my son really have that many cavities??? Horrible, horrible horrible. the cleaning consisted of a quick polish and off you go. No flossing or cleaning was done at all. Another big red flag was when they suggested my kids have their teeth sealed. We showed up and i told the assistant that the kids forgot to brush that morning. She said that was very bad because when they seal the teath all the bacteria will be trapped under the seal. I asked if they had a toothbrush for the kids to use and she said no. Man that place was traumatizing. Had to pick a dentist on the approved list for our coverage... picked this place. The waiting room was PACKED full of people, I couldn't believe how many people were coming in and out and all over. There was a child crying almost the entire time we were there waiting. Crowded waiting rooms and crying babies, fun. I literally had my seat stolen when I got up to turn in paperwork. When I finally had a new seat and my daughter was able to move and sit next to me I had to reserve my seat with my bag so I didn't get jacked again!! The receptionist was very nice but the rest of the staff that worked there seemed to be going through the motions... didn't like it. Was getting a bad feeling and wanted to leave and go take her to the awesome dentist I had seen recently, Cali Bay. But we were there, so.... I stayed. From the waiting room I had heard a boy screaming bloody murder, that was scary. Then when we finally got x-rays done and made it in to the exam chair, we had to sit and wait for at least 15-20 mins. I watched our dental hygienist cleaning another child's teeth before us (the kids/patient chairs are all in the SAME ROOM, which scared my daughter, as she watched other kids have their teeth cleaned). The lady was pretty rough with this other child, I noticed. The child kept trying to sit up and the mom was forcing them back down... then she had some kind of towelette with fluoride on it, which she wiped on the child's teeth pretty roughly. My daughter was such a good sport for how sensitive she is. I felt so bad for her... she has ADD so I try to respect her needs when I can. I was just afraid this bad experience would make her traumatized and afraid of dentists! Thankfully the cleaning and rough gag-reflex-causing fluoride teeth rubbing was over decently fast. I was told to schedule a cleaning in 6 months and I politely said I would call and had to go. That was a lie. I'm cancelling the Youthful Tooth appointment for our youngest daughter, a 3 year old. I'm taking her to Cali Bay instead so she isn't traumatized during her first dentist visit. Glad to never go there again. God that waiting room was horrible! read more

IF YOU LOVE YOUR CHILD STAY AWAY FROM THIS SO CALLED DENTAL OFFICE. GO TO ANOTHER PLACE NO MATTER THE DISTANCE. I have been here twice both times i had to wait over two hours. Yesterday I took my 6 year old daughter to get some work done. She had to be sedated so she had to be on an empty stomach. Her appointment was at 9 am she didnt get the sedation medicine until 11:30!!! After 20 minutes of giving her the medication they took her to the back alone. They dont let parents in the back with the child probably because thy mistreat them. While waiting for my daughter the waiting room was extremely cold probably 20 degrees! So If you have to go there take a blanket. I waited until 12:30 for them to tell me they were done! When i got home my daughter told me not to take her there again because the Asian man who is a dental assistant would take the laughing gas machine off her nose and put it on her mouth and grab her nose with his hand so she couldnt breathe through her nose! And told her that he wouldnt let her breathe through her nose unless she stops crying!!!! Thats torture for little kids!!! And that asian man told her once again if she didnt stop crying he was going to tell me to leave her there and dont come back for her!!! My daughter is smart she wouldnt make it up im calling tomorrow to demand an explanation of the mistreating and scaring her!! THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN!!! ITS DIRTY MESSY AND ALL BUT ONE RECEPTIONIST ARE RUDE! They GET PAID TO GIVE GOOD SERVICE and they act like its an inconvensiense for us to be there! Horrible place they don't let you go in the back with your kids at all. My son has told me they yell at him and is rough with him at times when his dad takes him. ( I don't take him here any but for some reason his dads keeps taking him) also they make you sign a waiver that the parent checked if they child has no bruises or scratches, when I took my son (it was my first and last time going there) I signed the waiver because at the time I didn't see anything well I didn't know bruises can show up 30 min to a hour later, after we left there to get breakfast I see a bruise on his ear and he told him they put a mask thing on him but who put it was shoving it on him. I was so angry. Also they had told his dad my son needed to have silver teeth put in because of his cavities. I told his dad no he didn't his cavities are not that severe and not to let him go with the procedure. Well his dad did it any way and now my son Is getting all his silver teeth removed because they all got infected! And every time I call and they either suggest they call me back with information or i request them to call me back They never do. Whatever you do don't sign the form they make you sign that your child dosent have any bruises or signs or injuries! Because a bruise does not always show up right away! read more

We made the mistake of not checking reviews before visiting this place. It quickly became obvious upon arriving that this office schedules way too many appointments. The waiting room is jam-packed with kids and parents. We did not get ANY individual attention. It was our daughter's first dentist appointment and after she was done, we got an extremely short, "no cavities, sign here." You would think that there'd be at least SOME discussion of the condition of the child's teeth but it is completely non-existent. Another disappointment was the fact that under no circumstances are parents allowed back with their child. Even our little 2-year old is not granted parental supervision which seems very odd that some exceptions cannot be made. We will NOT be returning to this office as its apparent that they are only interested in seeing the maximum number of kids and must focus on getting them in and getting them out. read more

I called on Monday because my daughter had a dental emergency and they said there was no way they could see her until Wednesday. When we got there on Wednesday we waited over an hour and a half. They finally took her in the back and cleaned her teeth and then said they don't do anything but clean teeth on Wednesdays. How does something like this happen? What kind of a place does this? I brought my kids here only because of the insurance acceptance. They are very rude, late on appointments, no customer service and have the nerve to yell back at customers who question the work being performed on there child. I say be careful...they are just workers they do not care at all about your children's well being. It seems that although they claim to accept Medical, they treat treat us like were lesser people, deliberately misplacing our papers over and over, giving us attitude, and transferring our calls and telling us that they don't want to talk to us. It's been almost 3 months we've been trying to get out 5 year old daughters teeth fixed. and once we got the appointment they rescheduled, us without confirming our availability. This is place is horrible!!! Called to schedule an appointment for my child. The girl on the phone gave me attitude right away. Stating I missed my child's appointment. I told her we were just at the office and signed papers and was told to call when I was ready to schedule. She placed me on hold got the file then was nice to me after she stated the office made the mistake of placing the paperwork. The girl said tomorrow was the next appointment and I told her tomorrow would not work. She then states they have an appointment in a few weeks and I asked what time, she then said we dont have times we tell the families to plan ahead and we let them know two days before the appointment. I told her well that will not work since I have other children and what is the point booking an appointment if you cant even give me a time! I am very unhappy with the wait time here. Its 11:52 and my son had a 10:00 appointment (totally unacceptable)! I can say that my children did previously report that the treatment is totally pain free, so if you decide to come here please be prepared to wait. I have to say, Maybe the office is coming to its senses because after reading all of these horrible reviews i was not planning on taking my son here but wanted early treatment on his cavity and already had an apt scheduled here for my son. I did not wait long. My apt was at 11:00 and i was done with the exam and xrays at 11:43 on the dot. I was impressed with how fast they got us in and were on top of it. The dental assistants were very sweet and also the xray tech. the dentist was a NOTTTT NICE!!!! Which is why i only give 4 stars.She was very rude to my son after my son whom is 3 asked her "whats your name?" He asked her 3 times while she was talking to me and then hushed him like SHHHHH!!! I got mad and told her that he is 3 and is learning to greet people appropriately in school and if she could please tell him her name and she politely smiled and said thats good. She also did not want to treat his cavity without sedation when he was very good during his exam and joyful so she referred me somewhere else which was very inconvenient. read more
