Park Lake Dental has been my dental provider for probably about 18 years. As a child I was very nervous about going to the dentist due to some previous traumatic experiences. They were, and still are, very respectful of my concerns and sensitivities. From the first two or three visits, they remembered my needs without me having to remind them. Only once have I ever had a small issue with their work (filling was not perfect, caused painful bite) and they were very responsive to that. When my insurance provider changed, I was very worried when I learned they didn't take my new insurance. I hesitantly asked what my out-of-pocket cost would be without any insurance. It was VERY reasonable, and for context, I'm definitely on the lower end of the earning spectrum. It's been a few years now and even when I need fillings and x-rays, the cost is very affordable. Park Lake Dental is very convenient in that they are just a few minutes from my house. That said, they are so excellent I would gladly travel 30-45 minutes just to know that I will receive the absolute best care. Today I brought my 3 and a half year old daughter for her first ever dentist visit. They couldn't have been more encouraging and supportive. They offered her surprise toys and stickers for doing well, they were enthusiastic and very friendly with her, and even had a supportive friend she got to interact with which made her day. My daughter has been so excited all day and has been telling everyone her friends at the dentist were so nice to her. TL;DR: I can't imagine ever changing providers. I don't think anyone else would give as thorough, cost-effective, and empathetic care. I highly suggest Park Lake Dental for anyone who either does not have or isn't happy with their current dental provider. read more

Do not go here. They will try to get you to get laser gum treatment that you don't need. They will use scare tactics to push you into getting extra treatment done to your teeth. I've gotten a crown done less than 5 years ago and now I have to pay for another one to be done. It was done incorrectly and loosely. Unfortunately, I fell for it and spent an extra $500 for a treatment I didn't need. I'm getting a whole crown done again somewhere else. read more

Park Lake Dental made me pay upfront before even processing my insurance, and after the claim finalized, my insurance EOB showed I was charged more than I actually owed. I've spent over a month trying to get answers and a refund, but my calls and concerns have been repeatedly ignored. Very poor communication and billing practices. Went in for penetrative hygiene appt and new patient exam . Jessica is very friendly and professional .She answered all my question . The assistant was very nice and the Dr Sara Baldwin was running behind but she came in greeted I informed I had Traumatic brain injury wasn't sure if she could clean my teeth with because of mouse and brain stimulation but she worked it out and completed my hygiene . I did not want to leave a review initially, but I feel that I have to due to my recent experiences. I've been going to Park Lake Dental for years when it was under Dr. Carpio. However, since the change in ownership, I've gone back and was very disappointed by the bedside manner specifically by Dr. Baldwin. She's very rude, condescending, and judgmental. She mentioned how extremely small my mouth was many times, even asking at one point how I could possibly eat a burger. The way she talks to her patients and the rest of the staff (who are lovely btw) just did not sit well with me. Dr. Mehta and front desk were honestly really great, but I just don't feel comfortable coming back after my experience with Dr. Baldwin. Since leaving their practice, I've tried going to another dentist and needed my X-rays. The staff were kind about it. However, when Dr. Baldwin picked up the phone, she was extremely rude. She said "you don't have to keep calling," even while purposefully withholding from sending my xray records. She said she's only doing me a "favor" by trying to send it by the end of the day with a very unprofessional tone. If you do decide to come here, ask for Dr. Mehta. She's very professional and straightforward. The front staff and dental assistants are warm and sweet. Just stay clear from Dr. Baldwin. read more

The dental hygienist does a good job cleaning teeth but the overall office focuses too much on upselling and put me through many unnecessary procedures that it compromised my health. It took me going to another dentist to realize nothing was wrong and that this office focuses on profits more than the patients health. They also seem to overwork their associates. During one of the procedures they had me do, the associate had to juggle working on me and two other patients all at the same time. This personally made me uncomfortable as the quality of work was compromised and posed a risk to cross contamination between the three patients. This office also has a tendency to reschedule appointments that were set months prior to the appointment. read more

I'm a recent client of Park Lake Dental, I had started working for a new company in the beginning of 2021, and this location was the closest dental office covered under my insurance. The location is convenient as it is only a few minutes drive from my house, and I could go grocery shopping at Lucky's when I am finished with my appointment. Their COVID restrictions include filling out an online form prior to your visit to ensure you're not sick/ haven't traveled to high risk areas, etc. You will receive a text message the day of your appointment with instructions such as giving the staff a text or call that you're waiting in your car, then they will let you know when you can enter. The lobby area is small, so no visitors are allowed, and only one person can pay at a time. Additionally, you will have to keep all your personal belongings up in the front and cannot bring it with you into the room. The staff make a good effort in educating their clients about dental health, which is not something my other clinics have done. The staff are all very welcoming, and even though I switched employers again very recently, and this clinic is out of network, I still prefer going here for my dental needs. read more

I've Stayed away from the dentist for a long time . My teeth were a mess. Plus in the past Dentists have always been pretty painful and just no fun!! Even when they said they were going to numb me up so I wouldn't feel a thing (HORSE FEATHERS)!!!!! They always hurt me , especially the first shot of Novocain!!!! NOT these guys!! These people know how to give a shot WITHOUT you feeling it!!!! I started my restoration work about 6 months ago and every bit of it has been a pure pleasure . They don't know what they're doing, everything they say is sales talk but they never keep their word, they don't care if you are in pain and are suffering, all they care is that they get paid. I used to go to this dentist pre- and right after Covid. They seemed nice at first but just wanted the up-sell. The front desk employees are really nice too. Everyone is so nice that it's too good to be true. On my first visit, they sold me prescription strength fluoride toothpaste (yeah, I fell for it.) On my second visit, they told me I needed a couple fillings. When they performed the procedure, it didn't feel like anything had been done. I thought, "this is great!" But now I realize how deceptive they were. Later on, at another appointment (I don't know why I was still going to them) is when I sensed huge red flags. They told me I had to have multiple crowns because my teeth are "cracked". They pulled out some antiquated-looking stick camera and stuck it in my mouth to show me. I did see lines on my teeth but didn't think that warranted multiple crowns. Because I wouldn't believe the dentist trainee, they sent in Dr. Carpio for the hard sell. She pushed and tried to scare me into getting the crowns, but her tactics didn't work. I went to another dentist for a second opinion, and lo and behold, I did not need crowns, the lines are normal. They're called craze lines, and if I wanted to fix them, it would just be for cosmetic purposes. Park Lake did not inform me of that, and I still wouldn't have gotten the procedure done anyway. My husband Eddie and I have been coming to Park Lake Dental for over 23 years and we love the staff and doctors so much. This week I found an issue and I called the office on Monday and they saw me right away. The next day they put a crown on and there was no pain. Dr. Mabaet told me each step he was doing and I even got to watch my crown being made right there in the office. Dr. Carpio is awesome as well and seeing her also was great. Best dental clinic I've ever been to!!! The staff are very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. I've had such a great experience with them since day 1. All are very professional and very knowledgeable about their craft. They build good rapport with the patients and make sure that they are comfortable and that questions and concerns are answered and addressed - because they genuinely care about their patients! Also, they do the procedures very well and in a timely manner. They also do a lot of patient teaching about dental health which I think is very important in this kind of field. I've gone to a few dental offices before Park Lake Dental and I can confidently say that Park Lake has been the best. They don't make you wait ridiculously long before getting called. They have friendly and professional staff and I haven't had any problems with any of my appointments. Their dentists are also very helpful and knowledgeable - they helped me understand the real issue. I've always had sensitive teeth and gums and their dentist gave helpful tips which helped me improved my oral/dental health. I never felt that they forced me into getting unnecessary dental work. They're honest and upfront on what you need to cover financially so you won't be slapped with an unexpected dental bill. I've had dentists who always failed to do this and left me paying way more than what I was initially told. For all the appointments I've gone to, they never failed to make me feel cared for. Decided to finally get a teeth cleaning and I was impressed with the professionalism and friendliness of the office. Dr. Carpio was very honest and straightforward about the treatment that I needed. First time and last time visitor. I attempted, in good faith, a private letter to Dr. Carpio. Not that I expected a response. However, it was not a positive experience and was noted in the letter. I'm compelled to submit this to Yelp in view of their not following up with all dental X-rays, etc... to another dentist. I signed the proper form to release the info. Upon my visit to the other dentist they had not received the information. How, petty and unprofessional. More than a month had passed and they could not find the time or desire to send the information. I will not go into the specifics of the initial visit but suffice it to state NO GOOD!!! It wasn't until I found Park Lake Dental that I learned there is a difference between good dental care and bad dental care and they're the highest quality dental clinic I have ever been to. They really take the time to highlight and explain the things that I don't think other dental clinics really care to explain to you. Like the importance of braces beyond aesthetics and proper maintenance of your teeth beyond your typical "brush your teeth and floss." They also are equip with everything you could need for any treatment you need! No referrals to a dentist friend of a dentist friend just to get a simple cap put on, etc. I highly recommend for anyone who has never really put more of a second thought into their dentist. read more

I am a 62 year old woman who had a very bad experience in the 1980s with a dentist .Needless to say after that I didn't return to the dentist till last year. My teeth where broken cracked rotted embarrassing situation I put myself in. don't ever go here unless you want to get ripped off lol. this place is a joke, i spent over $5k in dental work and when one of their crowns that they milled on site failed twice this place attempted to charge me more than the root canal therapy plus the crown together to replace my crown. spoke with 3 different dentist in the area that stated they are ripping me off. other dentist back their work and would replace the crown free of charge. not this place, save your money go somewhere else. my insurance covers 50% medical and couldn't believe the mal practice this place is trying to pull. they ended up refusing me service and refunding myself and my insurance full cost of the original crown, just so i could get it fixed else where lmao what a joke dentist. read more

I think this is good dental office with very professional staff. The owner even gave me a senior discount except I have to pay in advance in full ,pay the full amount before the dental appointment. And yes they can take my credit card over the phone , and by the way, I'm a month late for my 6 month cleaning and it's now an emergency to make your appointment considering the condition of your gums! If I remember right , the dentist who saw me said I have very good oral hygiene . I disagreed just by principle alone . I thought it was pay for service not the other way around. I went back to my old dentist, his son is now taking over the business. I have been going to the same dentist for the last 40 yrs and will stay with the same dentist till the day I die, I regret that I felt the need to try a new dentist due to convenience. Defective porcelain crown. Takes months and going to the office to get the doctor to speak with me. Crown had a hole and they tried to fix it 3 times with no success. Unstable and broke off. Contacted them a couple of months ago with pics. Received a text with a temporary glue that would not have worked since the crown broke off the tooth. Still have not heard from the doctor after 14 days. It took two months for them to finally see me after telling them about the hole in the crown. Tried to get me to pay for new Xrays which I refused. Asked that I get Xrays from my regular dentist and when I finally got them, they said they were not needed and to have my regular dentist call. They never followed up with me then and I don't expect them to do it now. This time they asked that the dentists that worked on my crown call them. I have left the numbers for them, left a message to have the dentist call me and requested that I be called on their on-line website, and still nothing. Do you want that kind of care? read more

The office staff and clinical staff are very friendly and calming.
