We've been to Keane's twice now. We only had drinks the first time, then we had drinks and appetizers the second time. Both times the servers were very cool to talk to and excited about where they work. This is going to sound so basic but let me tell you something: the pub preztel we had was awesome. Seriously. An awesome pub pretzel. That makes me want to go back and try more stuff ASAP. It also make me want to look into organizing a Meet Up at Keane's for the Jacksonville Fun, Eats & Drinks Facebook group sooner than later!

Braised corned beef and cabbage. Solid choice!

Keane's is a great hang out with genuine Irish beers on tap like Guinness and Harp Lagers, as well as authentic Irish food offerings like braised corned beef and cabbage over mashes potatoes and caramelized baby carrots. I really enjoyed that dish and would return to have it again.

We loved our experience at Keane's and have no doubt they are going to be the best Irish Pub in town. Love the beer on tap choices, everything from Guiness including Harps an Irish Red and a few other good non-Irish options. The new management team and the chef are awesome. Had to try the Reuben eggrolls and they were the best we had ever tried. The Irish cheddar cheese really sets these apart from other versions. The wings were also amazing, cooked to perfection coated in a hot honey sauce and served with perfectly crispy french fries. We cannot wait to return when the full menu is offered and try some more Irish favorites. In the meantime, perfect place for "table-gating" with great drinks before the games.

When I gave my order to the server, I specified how I was excited to try it because it was shaved, and he told me it was his favorite, but he could never finish it. When the food came, I was very nervous because not only was the rye bread seeded, and I don't like seeded rye bread typically, the meat was clearly not shaved, but sliced. Once I took a bite, all of those concerns were gone! Not only was it such fresh and delicious bread that I am certain they must make or get fresh from a bakery, the corned beef had to be the most tender I've had in a very long time. There was not one chewy piece throughout the sandwich. Now, those fries...they are now my absolute favorite fries! I can see myself craving those. I didn't even get through half of the sandwich because it was a lot. My husband really enjoyed the smash burger as well. He said his bun was also very fresh and delicious, the burger was great, too! The pub itself it very cute and just was you would expect to see and a friendly atmosphere to go with it.

I'll let the photos from other reviews do the talking, but if you enjoy a good backstory, ask about the history of the space. My mission for the night was simple: end the evening with a great gin cocktail. I started with the Donna Bella from the menu. It was well made, but I thought the bitters were a little too forward for my taste. Next, I asked for an off-menu modification: a Water Lily for Teresa, but made with Roku Gin. It was a strong contender--aromatic, balanced, and beautifully floral. If you're a fan of a French 75, this is a fun cocktail to explore. It's less citrus-forward and leans into a floral profile with a character that's hard to compare to anything else. For the final round, I went with bartender's choice. Mick asked a few questions about my flavor preferences and absolutely nailed it. They crafted a cocktail with Roku gin, snap pea cordial, aloe liqueur, egg white, lemon simple, mint, and citrus that was easily the highlight of the night. Fresh, layered, and memorable, it's a drink that deserves a permanent spot on the menu....Mission accomplished. If you're willing to wander beyond the barbershop business front and you consider yourself a spirit explorer, Volstead is well worth the visit. Go for a round...or two. If you're local, this could easily become your staple spot. For what it is, strong craft cocktail bar option. Bartenders choice is the way to go.

My friend ordered us the Pork Belly Kimchi Fries, I got us an order of the Cheese Curds, and for my entree I got an order of the Asian Sticky Wings. I probably would have never ordered the kimchi fries on my own. Sometimes kimchi can be fickle and really hit or miss. It was definitely a hit here. More on the sweet and tangy side but worked really well. Fries seasoned perfectly, and the pork belly cubed and cooked to perfection. Out of all of the times I've been to Wicked Barley, these fries have to be one of the best items I've had from there. Cheese curds were pretty basic. Tasted great, but nothing to write home about. If you like Cheese curds, you'll enjoy theirs. I originally had my eye on the jerk chicken wings and I was warned by the waitress and my friend that they are REALLY hot. Jerk chicken is generally one of those thats right on the borderline of too hot for me. To give you an idea, if you're familiar with Butthutt BBQ's jerk chicken, theirs is as far as I can go for spice level. So I switched it up to be safe, and I am glad I did. Sweet and sticky, these had really great flavor inside and out. Would definitely get these again in the future. Brought a couple home to the hubby and he seemed to enjoy them too, and he normally doesn't like, what he refers to as, "sweet meat". I had three different beers in my favorite tasting style, sour. I had the PB&J sour, the mango sour, and the orange cream sour. The orange cream was my favorite of the 3. We enjoyed the sounds of the band Splittone in the background and enjoyed the whole vibe of our meal. I'm hoping to visit again on a future weekend and possibly bringing one of my pups along with me since they are dog friendly.
