Something changed here awhile back, we used to get a custom pizza without cheese and it was amazing. Sometime this summer the same pizza was no longer as amazing, seemed part of what we were ordering changed or the person making it was different. Same results multiple times and we stopped ordering. I have only ordered delivery so far. Good calzones, pizzas and hoagies. Haven't tried the other items yet. The lunch special is a great deal and worth it with the free delivery during lunch time only. Delivery guys have been courteous. The best one was a very kind red headed gentleman. Ordered a meatball sub to go at Bentino's and got a supreme instead. I called and spoke to JT who is the kid who took our order. He said he "never misunderstood meatballs for a supreme before" so it must be me who placed the order incorrectly. JT can't own up to his mistakes, the worst kind of person!! Good pizza,i'd definatley suggest getting it thin crust. The prices are inexpensive and usually it's a great option if HAHA is busy as it is directly across the street and there's almost never a wait. Excellent pizza to say the very least. The greek pizza is my favorite, although it is hard to decide. They have a great variety on their menu including gyros that are very good. I come to Bentino's fairly often. It is in a nice quaint spot in Yellow Springs next to the bike path. Of the many times I frequent here, my order was always correct and the food always mouth watering. For me personally, their Gyro is the best one within 50 miles. Order it how you like it during lunch and it's still $5! Great food and a great deal! However the reason I am reviewing this particular store is because you never truly know a restaurants character until they make a mistake which will happen at every restaurant if you go there long enough. How they respond shows exactly the quality and character they posses. I must say Bentino's went above and beyond making sure I was satisfied. I won't get into exact details but I haven't dealt with such kind hearted and spirited people that wanted to see my issue resolved. It is truly rare for a restaurant to be able to atone for a mistake but Bentino's did that & more. I urge anyone who stops in Yellow Springs to stop in Bentino's next time through! This is my favorite go-to food on nights we don't feel like cooking. The thin crust pizza is fantastic--delicious flavor and fresh tasting cheese and pepperoni--cut in small rectangles. The teriyaki wings are always fresh, meaty and they have that glazed crunch that's so good. The gyros are a great change of pace, the pita also has that toasted crunch and the sauce is mouthwatering. On the way through Yellow Springs after soccer, decided to try something new. Pleasantly surprised by the taste of this pizza and the courteous staff. A little small and minimal parking. Not a great "sit down" option unless you're local and no onsite restrooms but great take out. 2 large pepperoni pizzas were bit greasy but some would say "as it should be" !! This wonderful place is exactly what I want when I walk into a new pizza joint. Friendly folks behind the counter, community bulletin board, pizza joint bases covered on the menu. I ordered a calzone to take out. It came out in the time it should take for a calzone to come out. Wunderbar. On first inspection, I thought the calzone was a bit small. But I had to say to myself, hold on, dummy, this calzone cost the exact amount that a calzone of this size and quality should cost. It was delightful, and the perfect amount of food to leave a little room for some frozen dairy afterward. I'm full and happy. read more

They must have sold out of toppings this week end. Both large pizzas had about the amount of toppings you would have found on a small pizza. Very disappointing for $42.60, when frozen pizzas beats pizza costing four times as much. Generally the pizza is good but pricey. Had written this last night. When I called them today at 7pm and the "manager" was terse with no apology for the lack of toppings on a soggy pizza and hung up on me when I commented that their to go pizza was more expensive with less toppings than Wheatpenny, a lovely pizza restaurant in Dayton. read more

Bentino's in Yellow Springs, OH is small but excellent. They have a variety of foods to choose from such as: Salads, Hoagies & Gyros, Pasta (Spaghetti, Ravioli, & lasagna), Calzones, and of course Pizza (standard and specialty)they also have chicken wings and french fries. Over time I've personally tried a couple different subs, ravioli, six different specialty pizzas, and a custom pizza and garlic bread. Everything was very good, people were friendly and they have great $5.00 lunch specials every day w/ free delivery. They have the nicest delivery people as well. Overall I give them 5 stars based on taste, quality, customer service, and convenience. read more
