We picked up the pizza after going to a mart. Rough to find parking but luckily we planned to take out because they don't have seating inside. We ordered a cheese pizza with parm and oregano and Italian seasoning. Ambiance inside is like any take out pizza spot. The kitchen is open so you can see the dough and prep process which is cool. Pizza was ready a little earlier than when we arrived (we arrived on time), and the people at the counter were extremely nice. It was made great! Despite the pizza being cold after our 20m drive home (albeit in 20degree weather), it had good crunch and flavor, would recommend coming back! The pizza was pretty good crust was fine, more thin and crunchy if your looking for that. 1st time trying this place and would overall give it a positive review. I'm not sure if I would make this a regular purchase for pizza but was a nice change of pace when ordering out. I stopped on a Monday, and that happened to be buy on and get one free, so I tried the ultimate pepperoni and a pepperoni and sausage. Pizza price is high, in my opinion, but on BOGO it's worth the price. They are carry out only. Service was great and helpful. We ordered a veggie pizza for late Friday night take out and it was delicious! The gentleman who took our order was very friendly and took his time with us despite being busy as hell. This place is happening at night. That's a great sign. You have to park on the side streets and enter in the front. You go up 3 steps to enter the small front of the house to order. Also, the establishment doesn't have inside seating. (All take out or delivery). I'll definitely be back to try their unique take on some pies. 5 of us had Pizza Factory pizza today. Here's my assessment. Crust: at least 1/2 the pizza flavor and experience is the crust. I'm not a fan of the crust that they use for their pizzas. I suspect that the wrong flour is being used. This is a common problem with pizzas in Dayton. Now, given that, the diversity in the types of toppings offered is a large and is a very interesting selection. Ultimate pepperoni: interesting heat, lots of pepperoni, mozzarella cheese. So, I was very excited to order here. I was visiting my boyfriend in Dayton and we always order the same few restaurants: dominoes, Pizza Hut, Joe's. So, I was alone for the night and I wanted to order a pizza for him for when he got off of work. I found the pizza factory and I was very excited! It looks like a place that wasn't a chain, and had quality ingredients. The menu was full of amazing pizza options from New York style pizza to buffalo ranch pizza, and more! Here's the issue... I called to place an order and I couldn't remember his address. So I told them I will call them back once I found the address. Two hours later, I called back and I attempted to place my order but my phone died mid order placing. I already gave them my card number but the phone died before I could clarify the tip. Before the phone disconnected, I explained that I wasn't sure what apartment number I was at and they told me that someone will call when they were outside. This would have been fine if my phone wasn't dead. My apartment complex has two entrances and I went out the back which is the most common entrance after I realize that my card has been charged. No one ever came. My phone has been dead for the entire evening. By the time that my phone was working, and my boyfriend was able to help, the location was close. We called the next day, and they said they tried four times and that I did not answer the phone. I explain that I'm not sure if they even went to the right apartment since I never gave an apartment number, and I also explained that my phone died before the entire order was placed anyway. They told me that they cannot help me and I need to speak to the owner on Monday. They were very rude, and I don't think I'll order again. I was really looking forward to this especially since I was $25 for one pizza. And now I can't get a refund and they won't come back out. However, given the fact that both myself and my boyfriend had already called to try to resolve the issue I don't think I'll call on Monday, because if this is the way to the managers handle problems I'm pretty sure that the owner will too. Very disappointed. Pizza factory has great pizza but prices just soared by almost 40 percent. The menu still reflects the old prices and the manager refused to honor his company's online pricing. I have managed several retail locations and if we advertised a price, in error or not, we honored what we printed. Pizza factory's online prices don't match the new menu prices. So if you are looking on the web (and you are because you are reading this on Yelp) you will be in for a surprise when the manager gives you the total. Good bye pizza factory. I teach in Dayton and I've used the school discount ONE time... that was last year and I grabbed two pizzas for my class at the end of state testing to reward them for doing so well on very strenuous tests...I also gave them a NICE tip because I was given a discount.... Okay this is by far my favorite Dayton pizza and I've tried quite a few! I get the buffalo bacon ranch every time and it is the BOMB! It has the perfect amount of all the toppings. The buffalo sauce and ranch that they use blend so perfectly together and they use just the right amount of both. I'm also in love with their crust. I believe it's hand tossed but it's not too thick and not too thin, and is seasoned deliciously. Plus they have BOGO free on Monday's for carry out and how can you beat that?! (You can't). I recently moved back to downtown Dayton after being away for 12 years and Pizza Factory is still awesome! Ordered the Mediterranean Pizza and Brownies for dessert. The pizza was so good and the crust is better than I remembered! Not sure if the brownies are made in house or elsewhere but they are very good. Thick, dense and just Yummy! This is our second time in 2 years ordering from the Pizza Factory and I am still blown away... my only regret is not ordering another pie or 2 we devoured them so fast. The menu is diverse and creative... and with a minimum $10 purchase can also include beer or cider delivered to your door! How great is this when staying a few days in Dayton? ((So great lemme tell you)). The guy who took our order was obviously swamped but had a great sense of humor and was super polite when I didn't know the address of my hotel. With 6 rowdy kids and 3 other loud adults in my room HE kept apologizing that I had to repeat myself I always appreciate service with a smile under trying times. Hats off to you my friend! I ordered a 9" buffalo bacon ranch pizza with a small side of cheesy garlic bread. A lot of food for just one person but MAN was it good! The gooey, garlicky cheese bread hit the spot. If ordering, ask for a side of pizza sauce- you won't regret it. The pizza was equally good, loaded with large chunks of chicken, crispy bacon, cheese, ranch, and tomatoes and then doused with Frank's Red Hot. For those who really fail to understand why people keep calling Milano's the best pizza in town, this place is for you. Pizza factory and South Park Pizza tavern right down the road are owned by the same guy, and serve the same pizza. The difference is that Pizza factory is the take out and delivery location for the popular South Park Tavern. Pizza Factory pizza is unique because of the crust, it is not deep dish by any standards, but it is not a thin, crispy crust, close to New York style but there is still some strength to the crust. They have both a regular and wheat crust, both of which are outstanding. and full of flavor The prices here are very reasonable for the quality of food that you get. The Small 9inch Pizza starts at 7.95 for a wide range of "traditional pizzas" and go up to 18.95 for a very generously sized 16 inch pizza The prices are considerably cheaper if you just go the traditional cheese route which start at 5 dollars and go up to 12. with a charge for additional toppings. The gourmet pizzas are where it is at. The Gyro pizza is spot on the money, with amazing tender lamb or chicken gryo meat, sauce, and topped with feta cheese, and sliced tomatoes. Other Personal favorites here are the Cheeseburger pizza which sounds very strange but is well worth trying at least once. All pizzas can be made in to a calzone. Traditional sides of Sandwiches, salads, bread sticks are also offered. Pizza factory also offers toasted foccica cheese bread a small portion for 2 bucks, is the best deal in town. The service is great, the wait time is minimal. On Mondays they have a buy one get one free for take out only, which is an amazing deal. If you want some more atmosphere, walk a few blocks up, and enjoy time at the sit down restaurant, South Park Tavern. We've ordered loyally from this place since we moved into Dayton. That loyalty will continue based on out most recent experience. The most recent call placed to the restaurant was met with a troubling notification that "we don't take coupons anymore unless you're picking up the order in person." I was super bummed, since we usually get a buy one-get one half off-deal. After I placed our most recent order and heard this, I was ready to reconsider ordering from them until the delivery man shows up and said how sorry he was that we had problems placing our order. He asked if he could use my phone to call back to the Pizza Factory and proceeded to straighten out our order, saving us about $12 on a $40 order after clearing up the misunderstanding. The kicker is that when I offered the driver add a $15 tip while he was on the phone, he said that it was way too much - $10 was very generous he said, if I was willing to give it. "Of course!" I said. Long story short, this place is a TRUE neighborhood joint. They are local and loyal to the core. After this incident they have my loyal business for as long as we're around.
