Have to have a fan replacement for my laptop and cAlled to ask if they had spare parts ready for my laptop, since it's a high end model and some places required that I buy them beforehand. The guy acted like a b**** and started to rant like "we are not a school, we are a repair shop" whatever this sh*-* means. Don't trust a place that doesn't have any patience to deal with customers that are just asking regular questions. They won't have the same with your property. read more

Had my cracked screen fixed by Lazlo and my phone is now as good as new! Done in around 1.5 hours. And he called my friends phone to let me know it was ready for pick up. I had a problem with the phone after the initial fix, took it back in the next day and he fixed it for me on the same day without complaint. Would recommend read more

Update: got phone back soon after last review. Had a small crack in it but very minor, at least got phone back. Crack has in a week grown across the screen and the screen display is changing color. Plan to take to Apple to fix it this coming week. read more

This place is AWFUL!!! And unprofessional, crackerjack Mickey Mouse operation at best! The employee was not there the first two times I entered because he was hanging out on the street which he told me as I saw him when I was leaving the third time. They use to have a tech on site but don't anymore. They promised my phone within an hour which I said I really need it within that timeframe and I did not get it for almost 2 hours later with nothing but excuses. They ended up sending it to another shop to be repaired. Definitely DO NOT go there and go across the street to the professional place instead. read more

They use non-apple screens without telling you. Charged me ~$90 for an iPhone 6 screen (apple charges $110 i think). I went back with issues on my screen -- worked with them to get the right screen on my phone; but after 3 replacements, screens still had issues. Requested a refund & got yelled at by the owner?? Instead of a refund, he asked me for $40 (~90+40 total) more bucks so he could order the screen from apple -- this is a scam. You're better off going to apple for a new screen. Or go somewhere else. read more

I broke my iPhone at brunch and decided to give this place a shot since in was close by on Newark Ave. unfortunately, that turned out to be a mistake. I'll save you all of the details, but this is what I think is going on at this place. I think They use low quality iPhone screens as replacements and the screens don't quite fit the way they should. After they installed the new screen it was easy to see that it was totally different than the original. It was almost laughable how poorly it fit. The screen was raised way above the edge of the case and there were areas where I could slide my finger nail under the glass of the screen. Now, there canned response to a complaint about the fit is that the case is bent and that they can replace that for you too! (I heard them say the same thing to the guy in front of me when he noticed his new screen did not fit either). After getting a 2nd screen installed with the same outcome, I asked them to just put my original cracked screen back into my phone. To my surprise, they had damaged the connector cables taking the screen on and off and now there was a weird bar across the top of my screen. I told them I was unhappy about that and that I wanted my phone back in the condition it was when I gave it to them. Their reply was that it was my fault because I made them change it too many times and that just happens. However, they never mentioned any danger of damage as they were doing the work. So I walked away with 2 hours lost and a phone that was in worse condition than it was before I brought it in. I would highly advise you to go to Apple if you need your IPhone screen replaced. I went the next day and had my screen replaced by Apple for $129 and it fits perfectly. YUFixit charges 80 - $90 but with Apple you get a legit screen that fits your phone. It's very much worth the extra money. I will say that the people here were nice and they did refund my money at the end of it all. read more

I cracked my iPhone 7 screen twice (the first time was my fault, but the second time my mom knocked it off her kitchen counter). Anyway, was charged $96 the first time. Okay. Came back a month later and was told it would be $110. Meanwhile, I overheard the fellow in front of me being charged $60 to replace his iPhone 6 screen. How there can be $50 difference between (what look like) completely identical screens was puzzling and frustrating. Furthermore, a $15 increase after just one month was also suspicious. My understanding is that Apple charges basically the same, so the only real upside is that these guys are fast (work done in an hour). I've read a few other reviews that they've used non-Apple screens in the past (or the wrongs screens anyway), and the phones don't work as well. I'm actually noticing that now. The responsiveness and accuracy on the screen seems compromised. read more

I wish I could give them negative 5 stars. Long story short, I dropped my phone, cracking my screen and googled a phone repair shop in the area. Ignoring the reviews out of desperation, I went to their shop. I got a quote of $70 and was told to come back within 2 hours - they also said they'd call when it was ready. A few minutes later I got a call on my other (work)phone saying my LCD screen was broken and it'll now be $110. As someone who (unfortunately) has broken her precious iPhone at least 4 times in the past year, I can now recognize a faulty LCD. I put up a small argument but he assured me that he misdiagnosed my situation, sent a screenshot of him pressing on my screen and asked me to bring the money upon my return. I then decided to go to their shop, simply because I was in a hurry and was hoping my presence would speed up the repair. Fortunately for me, I overheard the guy at the front speaking with someone on the phone saying 'whether or not their LCD screen is broken, just press the screen and when the colors show up, tell them it is broken. That way you get to squeeze an extra $40 out of them'. Needless to say, I was LIVID (but still calm) and asked them to return my phone. I lost my calm when David, the owner, called screaming at me over speakerphone telling me I did not understand what I heard and that I don't understand their business. Not only is he running a scam, he's always extremely rude. Guys, do yourself a FAVOR... go to the shop across the street. I went there, he took a look at my phone, and charged me $80. My LCD wasn't broken like I knew AND it took him 15 minutes. read more

Very happy with my repair! I had my iPhone 5S screen repaired and my frame repaired from a previous repair from an idiot who didn't know what he was doing. I was ensured that I would be taken care of and I certainly was! I was definitely skeptical to go to a 3rd party repair shop after being burned before, but I was very pleasantly surprised. This place is great! Had a cracked glass problem on my iphone 6 plus, and they repaired it within a half hour! Price for the quality was the best in the area also. If you have a broken phone, would highly reccomend. They also fix tablets, laptops and, game consoles by the way. Very happy with the work done! read more

So a bit of a long story, but just to make you aware!! I paid $80 for pretty much Technician connecting my Macbook to external LCD using a lightning cable and decide that GPU is faulty without any real diagnosis (Against Apple store report which says other way and fixed it). Quite a costly service $80 for 10 minutes' $480 an hour, $998,400 a year. Recently update my Macbook pro retina late 2013 model with Sierra latest update. After installing forgot to reboot for a week and display stopped working suddenly. It's state was On turning on you hear chime sound, but a black screen with keyboard backlights turned on. I tried all the options available online and on apple support forums like SMC reset, PRAM, safe mode, entering password on blank screen, pushing the connectors at the back etc. Nothing worked so took it to apple store they connected to an external display and were able to see my login screen and suggested to take a backup before fixing the display as display seems to be the issue. And to my bad luck I decided to give it a shot at YUfixit, 172 Newark Ave, FL-2, 07302, NJ (being pretty sure that its not at least motherboard or GPU issue). Went there, On asking if you have an external display to check, I was told "Technicians" are going to take care. Gave my hard-drive for taking a backup since I knew can still login using an external display. Was charged $80 straightaway for "Diagnostics", which is fine as I was confident till this point that they are really going to open the machine or do some real diagnose the real problem. Was pretty impressed, $80 diagnosis must be some next level. (As apple store diagnosis is free). Got a call same day and was told it's a motherboard problem with GPU not being able to process due to overheating. Was surprised at this point as Apple store guy said the other way. I asked whether you tried to connect it to external display, was told that we tried everything connect it to LCD using lightening cable and nothing is coming up, fan is not running. I asked if I can come there and we can check together to connect it to external display, which he replied they don't have displays here but at Central Ave store. At this point quote was straight $401 something(plus$80 something already paid) to find the actual issue and do motherboard work, work on some overheating issues and what not ( I asked Technician are you going to replace any parts, he said no just work on fixing existing ones like board or any other GPU issues.) I again and again asked that Apple store was able to connect it to external display and not you. Was trying to see if I can at least take a backup first, but failed to convince them because "Technician" is always right and then I was told in technical language "That GPU has inputs and outputs, the output to the display is failing" wallah great diagnostics (at apple store GPU was giving output magically or maybe apple store displays are intelligent to work without GPU, haha). So at this point either one of them is not right. I decided to take back my machine from YUfixit ( I hardly doubt even one screw was opened by looking at it) and went to Apple store again, where again they were able to connect to external display, I took a backup there and sent it for display work. Thanks to Apple store for approving that YUfixit guy was just doing a Guesswork. He didn't actually looked at sh*t. Just used a bluff to try and take out real chunk $400 extra to do real diagnosis, before charging me more for the actual display issue later. LESSON LEARNT: If you have an apple product, go to the nearest Apple store, there is no diagnosis charges there and they are going to do the real checkup and tell you truth, they don't do GUESSnosis. So long story short just AVOID unless you just want to give away an $80 gift card to the "Technician" guy to do his weekend groceries. Minimum is one star so there, take it, pretty sure others are fake reviews, probably all the Technicians' personal accounts. I wish I had got $80 worth of service but it is what it is. **Positives out of is the guy at the receiving desk at 172 Newark ave, really nice and genuine to talk to, he definitely deserves it because he is doing what he is supposed to. Glass replacement was cheap, It cracked rather quickly from a light fall & I had it in a case with their "tempered glass" upgrade. Went back to find out about another replacement & the price went up over $40. Would have been better off at an authorized dealer. read more

My iPhone broke one evening around 5:30. Called this place immediately and they accommodated me right away. Walked in at 6:15 and was out the door by 6:45! Wonderful employees who were friendly and helpful. Repair was $80.00 which I think is fair. Highly recommend to anyone needing a screen fixed! read more
