Tonkotsu Ramen, CA Roll, Yellowtail & Avocado Roll & Salamat & House Salad.
    Racquel E.

My hubby and I had lunch here at the Durango Resort Hotel. I ordered a California Roll, a Yellowtail Avocado Roll, and a House Salad. My hubby had a Salmon Avocado Roll along with the Tonkotsu Ramen, made with a creamy pork broth, chashu pork, corn, wakame, crispy pork, bean sprouts, onion, and a seasoned egg. The service was friendly and efficient, and the food was good.

The Durango Casino has a food court area with a variety of restaurants to choose from. From Chinese noddles, Hawaiian, Pizza, to Sushi. The Sushi restaurant Yu or Mi Sushi is a sit down restaurant (although you can order to go!) that offers a wide selection of sushi rolls, capriccio, salads, appetizers, you name it! I decided to eat here while my family ate next door-- I wasn't in the mood for carbs. I was seated at the sushi bar and the waitress was so friendly and kind, she made my dining experience extra nice because of how accommodating she was. I ordered the Crispy Brussel Sprouts, Sashimi Ikura, Ceviche Roll, and a Sashimi Salad. I had a huge appetite so I was in the mood to EAT and boy did I. The Brussel sprouts were perfectly crispy, seasoned sweet and not overly salty. The toasted sliced almonds were addicting and there were a good amount. The Ikura was fresh and it was served in a lemon (so cute) because I ordered it Sashimi style. I added it as a topping for my sushi. The ceviche roll was a no rice roll and filled with fresh sashimi. Thick chunks of yellowtail and salmon yum! The cucmber wrap was sturdy and I appreciate that the sushi didn't fall apart when I picked it up with chopsticks. The sashimi salad came last and by that point I felt like I was living life with all these dishes surrounding me! For $20, the sashimi salad was huge!! Fresh thin cut pieces of romaine, bright avocado chunks, scoops of salmon, yellowtail, and tuna. I was full by the time I ate half of the salad that I had to pack the rest to go. For someone who dined here by myself, I recommend Yu or Mi Sushi to anyone! The waitresses are super friendly and I enjoyed my conversations with them, the food is fresh, delicious, not too expensive, and the vibe of the restaurant is both vibey but casual. Perfect for a group of friends, a date night, or a quick bite.

    Some $40 special. Yum yum

Everything is so good everytime I come and eat here. I've been back several times already. The sushi is always so fresh. Every dish slaps The cocktails change seasonally which I appreciate. Great and fast service! I would come back here over and over again

Tried Yu Or Mi Sushi inside the Durango Casino & Resort and everything was really good. We had the hamachi crudo, tuna sashimi in citrus sauce, spicy edamame, shishito peppers, and a variety of rolls. The flavors were fresh, the presentation was beautiful, and the sauces were super tasty. Service was friendly and attentive without being rushed. Overall, a solid spot for sushi and small plates. Would definitely come back.

Wonderful sushi spot in Durango! Service was kind as I dropped by for a quick meal. Of course, the prices are elevated but it's a higher end ambiance and more quiet inside the restaurant in comparison to the general food hall.

Located inside the Durango Casino, this sushi spot was a great find. Went on a Saturday night and was seated right away, which was a nice surprise. Tried the Salmon Avocado roll, the Yellowtail Avocado roll, and some vegetable gyoza.... everything was fresh and delicious. The server was super friendly and attentive, which really added to the experience. Overall, a very nice spot for sushi with excellent service.

We had a wonderful time at Yu-or-Mi sushi! We came on a Friday afternoon and it wasn't too busy at all. The restaurant is very quaint and we enjoyed the vibe. The sake Sashimi, Thai Sunset roll, and both the crab and beef rices were great. Also loved the sake which was priced really reasonably. Definitely recommend you give them a try!

Staff friendly. Price is reasonable (since it is inside the casino). Portion size: Smaller. Plenty of choices in this food court, but if you are craving for Japanese food, this would be the place.

As I continue to try the restaurants in the Eat Your Heart Out food court at Durango Station, I came for an early dinner to Yu-Or-Mi Sushi. For sushi, I'd normally go to one of the local places with which I am familiar. After looking at the menu, I decided to try something different. For a starter, I ordered the mushroom miso soup. The mushrooms were served on the side so I could add as much as I wanted while eating the soup. For the main course, I had to try the uni crab pasta. The menu lists it this way--uni cream sauce, blue crab, garlic, and udon noodles. The miso was one of the best day I've had. Lots of flavor and the mushrooms added to it. The uni crab pasta was very good, also. I would have liked more than one piece of uni but I know the cost of uni. There was a fair amount of crab. The creamy uni pasta was perfectly cooked. I finished with a piece of yuzu cheesecake. Light and airy, it was a good finish. Euel was my server and he was on top of things. I need to point out that the restaurant was empty at this time but I had the feeling he would have given the same good service if they were busy.

Starting with the catchy name and located in one of my favorite off-strip casinos in one of the nicest food halls, I had a pleasant experience here. I wanted sushi and sake so this was the perfect spot. There are quite a few seating options including at a table inside, at the bar, in the food hall area or to-go. The decor is modern with Asian-inspired touches and the menu presents a good number of varied options. Here is what I ordered: Lychee Martini: I'm a sucker for a good one of these and it was probably one of the best I've had! Sapporo: a must with sushi in my opinion The Durango Roll: spicy tuna with salmon and avocado on top. Tasty and satisfied the craving. Rock Shrimp Garlic Noodles: with a little bit of spice, these noodles had great garlic flavor. Along with the food and ambiance, the staff were friendly and very prompt. I dropped a napkin on the floor and the next second our server popped up with another one. I foresee myself returning on my next trip!

Came here for new years. It's good but expensive. Atmosphere isn't special, just another food place inside a casino. They actually had the same music as the casino playing which was interesting as they were bopping to disco which is not normal when eating sushi. The food was all good. Our sever was very attentive and great at keeping our water and drink is stocked. She also was good at helping us with food questions. One example is with the sweet shrimp we ordered. It came out with fried heads - we had no idea if we were supposed to eat these or not. Our server came to our rescue and showed us what to do. We also ordered the soft shell crab fried rice, the Durango roll, the Hawaiian roll, beef tataki, and Totoro. The rolls were all good with lots of meat and less rice - what I would expect from their prices. I really loved the Totoro and tataki- although they were pricey, they tasted amazing. I have nothing to complain about this place. It checked all the boxes for an a la carte sushi spot.

Great sushi restaraunt located inside Durango hotel & casino! Very open format and modern design for a classic japanese theme. Staff is super friendly and attentive and the food was amazing! I had the mushroom miso soup which was quite plentiful followed by the Sushi Moriawase which came with 8 pcs of chef's selection sushi and my choice of a rainbow roll. Everything was prepared fresh and the taste was amazing. Reasonable pricing as it is located inside a casino but I will definitely be going again!

Drink wise: 10/10 would recommend the Strawberry Lychee Soju cocktail Nicole's customer service was on point during my family's most recent visit. Chef Shuji runs the restaurant with his wife next to him in the kitchen. The fish here is flown in from Japan and of the highest quality as you can see from the sheen and fat marbling. The tuna melts in your mouth and bite after bite is a wonderful experience as you pair it with soy sauce, fresh Wasabi, yuzu Wasabi, or some combination of the condiments provided. This is also the first sushi restaurant I have ever been to that automatically brings out fresh Wasabi without having to ask. The portions are generous and we left feeling very satisfied. Even though we were very full, we took a look at the dessert menu. Not pictured here is a sweet potato with ice cream and brown sugar glaze. This dish on the menu was unassuming but the taste was so decadent. Quite possibly the best and sweetest sweet potato I have ever tasted. The chef slowly roasts them over a 2 hour period, rotating the potatoes every so slightly every 15 minutes. The sweet potato could be a dessert by itself, it was that good! Chef Shuji is a charming and funny host. He regularly comes out to greet his customers and makes sure they are enjoying their meal, very high-touch. If you know Japanese - even if it's just a few phrases, speak with him as he will be delighted. He was absolutely tickled when we said arigato and he shared that he is originally from Kyoto.
