    Beef Tataki
    Will M.

Nice little sushi restaurant inside Durango Casino. The restaurant is bright and clean. The staff are friendly. The prices are a little high for an area that is more cost friendly and away from the strip. The beef tataki is overdone on the outside. Portions are small so a few items are required to leave feeling full.

This front of house employee, an amazing example of customer service and hospitality.

Had a bad experience with their neighbor Ai Pono Cafe closing 25 minutes earlier than their closing time. Decided to stop by for a Teriyaki Chicken plate as i still wanted something to eat, albeit a late dinner. I sat outside in the general food court seating area and watched the front of house gentlemen repeat multiple times to customers of their hours, which was that they closed at 9:30pm but ALWAYS offered to take a to-go order. After my food was ready, he was still taking orders. it's 9:36pm currently, and I spoke to him asking why he's taking orders still and of course they still offered a few orders to be taken as they took into account the FIFA game ending late and that some people may still be wanting something to eat and they understood that. EPIC CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Also, they give a pretty decent amount of chicken. Just wish a little more veggies. btw... 9:42pm. he's still taking to-go orders. amazing!

My hubby and I had lunch here at the Durango Resort Hotel. I ordered a California Roll, a Yellowtail Avocado Roll, and a House Salad. My hubby had a Salmon Avocado Roll along with the Tonkotsu Ramen, made with a creamy pork broth, chashu pork, corn, wakame, crispy pork, bean sprouts, onion, and a seasoned egg. The service was friendly and efficient, and the food was good.

The Durango Casino has a food court area with a variety of restaurants to choose from. From Chinese noddles, Hawaiian, Pizza, to Sushi. The Sushi restaurant Yu or Mi Sushi is a sit down restaurant (although you can order to go!) that offers a wide selection of sushi rolls, capriccio, salads, appetizers, you name it! I decided to eat here while my family ate next door-- I wasn't in the mood for carbs. I was seated at the sushi bar and the waitress was so friendly and kind, she made my dining experience extra nice because of how accommodating she was. I ordered the Crispy Brussel Sprouts, Sashimi Ikura, Ceviche Roll, and a Sashimi Salad. I had a huge appetite so I was in the mood to EAT and boy did I. The Brussel sprouts were perfectly crispy, seasoned sweet and not overly salty. The toasted sliced almonds were addicting and there were a good amount. The Ikura was fresh and it was served in a lemon (so cute) because I ordered it Sashimi style. I added it as a topping for my sushi. The ceviche roll was a no rice roll and filled with fresh sashimi. Thick chunks of yellowtail and salmon yum! The cucmber wrap was sturdy and I appreciate that the sushi didn't fall apart when I picked it up with chopsticks. The sashimi salad came last and by that point I felt like I was living life with all these dishes surrounding me! For $20, the sashimi salad was huge!! Fresh thin cut pieces of romaine, bright avocado chunks, scoops of salmon, yellowtail, and tuna. I was full by the time I ate half of the salad that I had to pack the rest to go. For someone who dined here by myself, I recommend Yu or Mi Sushi to anyone! The waitresses are super friendly and I enjoyed my conversations with them, the food is fresh, delicious, not too expensive, and the vibe of the restaurant is both vibey but casual. Perfect for a group of friends, a date night, or a quick bite.

Everything is so good everytime I come and eat here. I've been back several times already. The sushi is always so fresh. Every dish slaps The cocktails change seasonally which I appreciate. Great and fast service! I would come back here over and over again

Tried Yu Or Mi Sushi inside the Durango Casino & Resort and everything was really good. We had the hamachi crudo, tuna sashimi in citrus sauce, spicy edamame, shishito peppers, and a variety of rolls. The flavors were fresh, the presentation was beautiful, and the sauces were super tasty. Service was friendly and attentive without being rushed. Overall, a solid spot for sushi and small plates. Would definitely come back.

Wonderful sushi spot in Durango! Service was kind as I dropped by for a quick meal. Of course, the prices are elevated but it's a higher end ambiance and more quiet inside the restaurant in comparison to the general food hall.

Located inside the Durango Casino, this sushi spot was a great find. Went on a Saturday night and was seated right away, which was a nice surprise. Tried the Salmon Avocado roll, the Yellowtail Avocado roll, and some vegetable gyoza.... everything was fresh and delicious. The server was super friendly and attentive, which really added to the experience. Overall, a very nice spot for sushi with excellent service.

    Frozen Y.O.M Sashimi Moriawase*

Frozen tuna and colored yellow sashimi--it's all frozen sashimi, lol. The quality is horrible. The water smells like hand soap or hand cream. They need to pay attention to their quality.

We had a wonderful time at Yu-or-Mi sushi! We came on a Friday afternoon and it wasn't too busy at all. The restaurant is very quaint and we enjoyed the vibe. The sake Sashimi, Thai Sunset roll, and both the crab and beef rices were great. Also loved the sake which was priced really reasonably. Definitely recommend you give them a try!

Staff friendly. Price is reasonable (since it is inside the casino). Portion size: Smaller. Plenty of choices in this food court, but if you are craving for Japanese food, this would be the place.

As I continue to try the restaurants in the Eat Your Heart Out food court at Durango Station, I came for an early dinner to Yu-Or-Mi Sushi. For sushi, I'd normally go to one of the local places with which I am familiar. After looking at the menu, I decided to try something different. For a starter, I ordered the mushroom miso soup. The mushrooms were served on the side so I could add as much as I wanted while eating the soup. For the main course, I had to try the uni crab pasta. The menu lists it this way--uni cream sauce, blue crab, garlic, and udon noodles. The miso was one of the best day I've had. Lots of flavor and the mushrooms added to it. The uni crab pasta was very good, also. I would have liked more than one piece of uni but I know the cost of uni. There was a fair amount of crab. The creamy uni pasta was perfectly cooked. I finished with a piece of yuzu cheesecake. Light and airy, it was a good finish. Euel was my server and he was on top of things. I need to point out that the restaurant was empty at this time but I had the feeling he would have given the same good service if they were busy.

The best Ayce sushi place in Vegas!…read more If you're tired of the boring buffets on the strip, I highly recommend to visitors to check out this restaurant off the strip in Chinatown. Food (4.5/5) I strongly recommend to order the nigiri and stay away from the rolls if you want to get your moneys worth. The nigiri selection is pretty huge with multiple unique cuts of fish that other Ayce sushi places usually don't include (surf clam, ono, yellowtail toro, uni). Although some of the premium items you're only allowed to order once, it was pretty satisfying to be able to even try it as most ayce sushi places don't even include these items. The nigiri is on the smaller side (maybe 1/2 the size of regular size nigiri) but I appreciate how they didn't include a ton of sushi rice with each piece. It seemed like this restaurant wanted you to get your moneys worth and not have you fill up on rice! Highlight items are definitely everything on the special nigiri order menu selection, eel nigiri, and seared salmon. The regular tuna nigiri was just alright and my group did not like the ikura as it was a little off tasting. They also include free ice cream at the end and the affogado was pretty good! Service (4.75/5) The service was pretty good for such a small and packed place. We went right at opening and it was completely full with a long wait outside on a Sunday afternoon. The best part of this place is that there is NO item ordering restriction so essentially you could order 100+ nigiri for a single round of ordering. Most ayce sushi places I've eaten at have very shady rules that try to screw you over so you can't order a lot, but this place took the opposite approach so I can see why it's always busy! The staff was very quick at bringing out the food and having you order again. There is a 90 minute time limit to eat so start ordering right away. Ambience (4.5/5) This restaurant is located in a strip mall plaza in Chinatown and the parking was limited, but once inside this restaurant was pretty cute with the decorations. It felt clean and had a nice cool A/C going inside. Value (5/5) 20$ lunch until 4pm on Monday-Thursday and 35$ all other times. The best value AYCE I've had and better than anything I've paid for in California. Overall (4.68/5) I would definitely return to Vegas just to eat here again and I thought the food quality was better than any Bacchanal or Wynn Buffet on the strip.

I can eat that much, but did a pretty good job selecting from the nigiri side of the menu while hubby packed down a lot of rolls. Every item was ultra-fresh. Hot when hot and cold when cold. I would order something and just a minute or two it would come out. This was even with an 80% full restaurant. Even more impressive was that hot items came out very, very quickly. Matthew, my server was a cool laid-back guy who was super attentive. Everything he recommended was great! And he checked on almost everything I ordered! Something else impressive was how quickly they clean cleared and reset the tables. It was a team effort. Everyone who was in the restaurant serving or busing helped replace the items on the table. It was very cool to see. I have to mention Cassie, the first and last person I talked to. She greeted me at the door with a happy smile, asked if this was my first time and kindly recommended a lot of wonderful items when explaining the menu. On the way out she thanked me for coming. Chef Shuji runs the restaurant with his wife next to him in the kitchen. The fish here is flown in from Japan and of the highest quality as you can see from the sheen and fat marbling. The tuna melts in your mouth and bite after bite is a wonderful experience as you pair it with soy sauce, fresh Wasabi, yuzu Wasabi, or some combination of the condiments provided. This is also the first sushi restaurant I have ever been to that automatically brings out fresh Wasabi without having to ask. The portions are generous and we left feeling very satisfied. Even though we were very full, we took a look at the dessert menu. Not pictured here is a sweet potato with ice cream and brown sugar glaze. This dish on the menu was unassuming but the taste was so decadent. Quite possibly the best and sweetest sweet potato I have ever tasted. The chef slowly roasts them over a 2 hour period, rotating the potatoes every so slightly every 15 minutes. The sweet potato could be a dessert by itself, it was that good! Chef Shuji is a charming and funny host. He regularly comes out to greet his customers and makes sure they are enjoying their meal, very high-touch.
