Food: I went for a second time actually during happy hour. I had two rolls, both were spicy and i forgot the name of it. Not helpful hear. I texted my friend the name of those two rolls and when i remember I will tell you about it. haha Service: this was the difference maker. The lady was by herself serving everyone, wasn't busy, but it wasn't slow either. More attentive in her service and actually coming around. Ambiance: this was on a gloomy day, and I was next to the window with the natural light. This gets a four star just by the server just being a decent human being. Good happy hour, a lot of the discount was a couple of bucks of a specific happy hour menu. I can go again since it's nearby.

Pier 215 is a Japanese restaurant that serves a variety of sushi, rice bowls, and some drinks. There's many options but it's pretty standard when it comes to sushi. The thing that sets this place apart from other sushi spots is the fact that they have a Kaiseki option as well as a sake sampler. If you want to try something different, I highly suggest either of these options. Kaiseki is pretty much an assorted variety of Japanese dishes from vegetables to sushi. Ambiance is pretty nice as I've only went there when it's night time. Fairly dimly lit so it brings a romantic vibe if you want to bring a date here. They can accommodate a good amount of people, but a large group may be limited depending on how busy they are. Whenever I've been here, the service has been pretty decent since it wasn't too busy. The service was pretty standard as they would check up on us every so often. Overall, this place has good quality Japanese food while specializing in sushi/sashimi and has great options when it comes to drinks as well.

Excellent food and service! The only place I know that has afternoon tea service with sushi. Will definitely come back

We love coming here. Now we live closer which is great, we can cone more often. The place is clean and the service is fast. The sushi was so fresh and yummy! The udon noodles were amazing! Edamame was a nice blend of sweet & spicy! We will def come back more often!

Usually get takeout from here. Always delicious and they are the best at packing cold and hot foods without getting the sushi hot or hot foods cold. Efficient packaging for takeout.

First time here for me but my friend comes all the time. It was chill inside and we had a good view. The weather was nice and it would've been nice to sit outside. But with all the construction going on outside I was kinda glad there wasnt. The happy hour menu was amazing and we had our few favorites. If you ask for the salmon skin roll, ask for it crunchy. Service was outstanding, our server was Z. She was quick, knowledgeable, friendly and personable. I told my friends she would make a good bartender. We will def be back!

I stopped in on a Friday and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't too busy. I grabbed a seat at the bar so I wouldn't take up a whole table, and the service was definitely attentive enough maybe even a little too attentive, since three different people asked if I was ready to order. The food, especially the fish, was delicious and the overall vibe of the place was great. The only downside was in the restroom, which was out of both toilet paper and paper towels despite how many staff were on shift. Other than that, it was a really nice experience.

Happy hour offers some pretty solid deals. The beers come out to about 7 which is ok but they start off at $14 so make of that what you will. The rolls are the best deals with $17 coming down to $10. There were also hand rolls and some other items. The regular menu is huge and generally casual sushi restaurant fare tho I did see some interesting specialty dishes. Overall, solid local sushi restaurant off the strip. It has a lot of room and the food is solid. Value for price was also solid

First and foremost, I highly recommend you enjoy the food at Pier 215! Everything we ordered came out fresh, artistically presented, and delicious! Shout out to low-carb eaters: You can enjoy sushi at Pier 215 because they have no-rice options. The service was excellent. The place is clean, spacious, and nicely decorated.

Decent sushi, but the price to quality ratio isn't very good. For how expensive it is and how far away from the city it is, the fish quality isn't very good. Wanted to try a new spot that had good reviews, but we were pretty disappointed. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful and the presentation of the food is great, but the quality just wasn't there

Had pretty high expectations for Pier 215 from social media. Service and ambiance were nice but the food was a bit of a mixed bag. Despite all the good reviews, we didn't have a good impression of their sushi. Drinks weren't super strong and well made. Truffle Parmesan fries were a good texture, but didn't taste any truffle. Sushi dinner had a good variety and flavor. However, the rice was dry and the texture of some of the fish was off and rubbery. Surf & turf was delicious and was served on a sizzling plate.

This was the loveliest Valentine's day!!! Everyone here was so nice and kind, the place was cozy and warm and the food was just delicious. The presentation was gorgeous, but even better was the wonderful freshness and flavor of the food. We started with a sake flight, and there were so many different flavors from dry to sweet and creamy. After we had delicious brussel sprouts to start, then had pork belly appetizer that was so delectable we had a second. We then had the lemon salmon roll and the lobster roll, both were delicious. We ended with oysters Rockefeller... It was the best Valentine's meal and the staff made it so special, they even took a Polaroid of us together. It was wonderful, will for sure be back!

Katsu Ya Ton Ton is excellent. I made plans to meet a friend for lunch and wanted to try this place. Easy access from Durango just North of Warm Springs on the West side of the street. Ample parking, but the place itself (you can see from the photos) isn't large and they don't take reservations. We aimed to be there for 12:30P lunch figuring we'd just be the lunch crowd. I arrived a little early and they were already full up! The place is popular and with good reason. I added our part of 2 to the list and we waited maybe 10 minutes. So cute and authentic inside. Tables turned over fairly quickly. The staff is super friendly and efficient. They were there to guide and help us with menu choices and offer recommendations. I went with the pork katsu set that included soup, rice, piles of shredded cabbage, my main pork cutlet, and some pickles. The cabbage and soup is AYCE which was a nice offering though I didn't need it. I also got salmon poke with yuzu which was tart and so fresh. Recommended. My lunch date order Katsu Chicken Curry. The food is outstanding. Every bite elicited a "Mmm" from me as the soup broth was deep and savory. The pork was perfectly cooked, crispy outside, juicy and tender on the inside. I love the shredded cabbage. Their Katsu sauce is delicious and you get to grind your own sesame seeds which impart a crazy delicious, nutty texture. The Katsu Chicken Curry was also excellent. I would struggle next time to pick one over the other. There are plenty of places to find Katsu but none compare to Katsu Ya Ton Ton for perfecting this really tasty dish. Highly recommended!

However, the food and service timing were a different story. The Spider Roll contained carrots, which were not listed on the menu. For anyone with food preferences or dietary concerns, that kind of surprise can be frustrating. The biggest issue was the wait time. My son's sizzling bulgogi was the last item we ordered, and after waiting close to 30 minutes beyond when everything else had arrived, it still hadn't come out. I asked our server about it, and she checked with the kitchen before returning to say they were working on it. After waiting even longer, we needed to leave, so I asked if we could simply take the bulgogi to go when it was ready. I was surprised when I was told that if we took it to go, we would be charged à la carte. I explained that the delay wasn't our fault and that we had already been waiting nearly 30 minutes for that one item. The response was that we could either pay the additional charge or cancel the item altogether. That interaction left a bad taste in our mouths. Delays happen, and we try to be understanding, but charging extra because the kitchen took so long to prepare an item felt unreasonable. Combined with food that was just average at best, it was enough to ensure we won't be returning. It's unfortunate because the restaurant has a pleasant environment and friendly staff, but the long wait times, menu inconsistencies, and how the situation was handled overshadowed the experience.

It wasn't a major issue, but with several open tables, we expected to be seated a little sooner. The restaurant has a modern atmosphere, and since it's still relatively new, the bar area, furniture, and overall décor look fresh and inviting. One thing that caught my attention, however, was some visible trash on the dining room floor. It's a small detail, but keeping the dining area spotless goes a long way in creating a better first impression. Unfortunately, the service was a bit slow. After being seated, it took quite a while before our server came to take our order. Once the food was in, everything arrived at a reasonable pace, and the staff remained friendly throughout our visit. Here's what we ordered: Calamari Tempura - 5/5 Crispy, light, and perfectly seasoned. One of the best appetizers we had that evening. Hibachi Ribeye Steak - 4/5 Cooked medium well exactly as requested. The steak was tender, and the sauce paired well with it. It was enjoyable, although the flavor could be a little more distinctive. Chicken Teriyaki - 5/5 Juicy, flavorful, and served in a generous portion. Great value for the price. Yakisoba - 5/5 Packed with flavor, perfectly cooked noodles, and a great balance of ingredients. Definitely one of the highlights of the meal. Baked My Day Roll - 5/5 Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Every bite was delicious, and this roll is an easy recommendation. Overall, the food was the highlight of our visit. Most of the dishes were well-prepared, flavorful, and generously portioned. The restaurant has a lot of potential and is already a nice addition to Durango Casino. There are still a few areas where they could improve. Faster greeting and order-taking would make guests feel more welcomed, especially during slower evenings. Paying closer attention to the cleanliness of the dining room floor would also enhance the overall experience. I'd also love to see the menu continue to grow with more specialty sushi rolls, seasonal chef's specials, premium sashimi selections, additional hibachi entrées, and more vegetarian and seafood options. An expanded dessert selection would also be a great finishing touch. Overall, I enjoyed our family dinner and would definitely return. With a few improvements in service, cleanliness, and continued additions to the menu, Yu-Or-Mi Sushi has the potential to become one of the top Japanese dining spots inside Durango Casino.
