Stopped at Pier 215 for lunch on a weekday. It was my first time there, but won't be my last! They have a handful of lunch specials. I decided on the Sashimi Bento Box. The sashimi was all very fresh and tasty. The miso soup, salad and other items were all great. The combination makes for a good deal! The restaurant is clean and has a fair amount of seating. Food: I went for a second time actually during happy hour. I had two rolls, both were spicy and i forgot the name of it. Not helpful hear. I texted my friend the name of those two rolls and when i remember I will tell you about it. haha Service: this was the difference maker. The lady was by herself serving everyone, wasn't busy, but it wasn't slow either. More attentive in her service and actually coming around. The thing that sets this place apart from other sushi spots is the fact that they have a Kaiseki option as well as a sake sampler. If you want to try something different, I highly suggest either of these options. Kaiseki is pretty much an assorted variety of Japanese dishes from vegetables to sushi. Ambiance is pretty nice as I've only went there when it's night time. Fairly dimly lit so it brings a romantic vibe if you want to bring a date here. They can accommodate a good amount of people, but a large group may be limited depending on how busy they are. Whenever I've been here, the service has been pretty decent since it wasn't too busy. The service was pretty standard as they would check up on us every so often. Overall, this place has good quality Japanese food while specializing in sushi/sashimi and has great options when it comes to drinks as well. read more

They used to give a great takeout discount but they lowered it so we stopped ordering frequently from here because it is pricey especially for being all farmed fish. But the last time we ordered, we got 4 cucumber wrapped rolls and we couldn't tell them apart. We just received a box of cucumber wrapped mush essentially. So unfortunately, we likely will not be patronizing this business again. The prices are just too high for not receiving quality food every time. read more

First time here for me but my friend comes all the time. It was chill inside and we had a good view. The weather was nice and it would've been nice to sit outside. But with all the construction going on outside I was kinda glad there wasnt. The happy hour menu was amazing and we had our few favorites. If you ask for the salmon skin roll, ask for it crunchy. I stopped in on a Friday and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't too busy. I grabbed a seat at the bar so I wouldn't take up a whole table, and the service was definitely attentive enough maybe even a little too attentive, since three different people asked if I was ready to order. The food, especially the fish, was delicious and the overall vibe of the place was great. Happy hour offers some pretty solid deals. The beers come out to about 7 which is ok but they start off at $14 so make of that what you will. The rolls are the best deals with $17 coming down to $10. Despite all the good reviews, we didn't have a good impression of their sushi. Drinks weren't super strong and well made. Truffle Parmesan fries were a good texture, but didn't taste any truffle. This was the loveliest Valentine's day!!! Everyone here was so nice and kind, the place was cozy and warm and the food was just delicious. The presentation was gorgeous, but even better was the wonderful freshness and flavor of the food. We started with a sake flight, and there were so many different flavors from dry to sweet and creamy. After we had delicious brussel sprouts to start, then had pork belly appetizer that was so delectable we had a second. We then had the lemon salmon roll and the lobster roll, both were delicious. So saw their Japanese afternoon tea on IG and thought it would be a cute place for a ladies lunch. I had low expectations because well IG pics can be pretty but does the food hold up. We were really surprised by the quality of the fish/seafood, everything was really fresh and the two Japanese tea options were both great. Sorry for the late review. My friend was leaving town for a month so I took her to dinner at pier 215, 100% a good choice. The shrimp tempura roll was the best I have had in a long time. As always i had them hold the eel sause and add lemmon! It was perfect! My friend had chicken Teriyaki. It was fantastic she let me try a bite. She loved it too! The place was very cute and felt high end but was very affordable. Both of us to eat was 50.00 with green tea. I had edamame and 2 rolls. Everything was clean and tidy. I've been coming here for a little over 3 years now, and today the food was disappointing. I haven't come in a while but today I noticed a huge decline in the quality of the food. The dragon roll was delicious, the pan fried gyosas were a huge let down, they used to be better, it literally tasted so bland. The pork belly kimchi fried rice was alright, again it used to tasted so much better today it was overly sweet, and barely any pork belly chunks. I was disappointed because they usually deliver amazing food! Service was great as always our server was very attentive and she was very nice. Absolutely amazing experience at Pier 215 for lunch on Mother's Day. (It really was for my BFF's birthday) We got there right when they opened, and there was already a line, which was a good sign. Although we didn't have a reservation, we were seated in less than 5 minutes. The restaurant is super cute! The design is beautiful. It is a small place, but so nicely decorated. Service was prompt and friendly as well. We opted for the Korean fried chicken, the golden knight roll, the baked crab roll, and another roll (I can't remember the name). I got the passion fruit margarita, and my friend got the cucumber mojito. Everything was super fresh and tasty. The Korean fried chicken was delicious; but you have to eat it while it's hot, or else the breading starts to get a bit too hard. We loved all of our rolls too. The drinks were tasty, but the margarita was a bit too sweet for me. We were stuffed and probably ordered too much, but oh well, it was a celebration! Overall, we absolutely loved it and will definitely be back.
