This has to be the bestest sushi and yakiniku AYCE I've ever had in the States!! We went around 5:30pm and had about a 20-minute wait. It was accurate to what we were told, and we were able to sit by the bar area while waiting, so not bad at all! We all got the highest tier (C), and the premium meats were solid. The beef tongue was excellent! I also loved their variety of sushi. Service was friendly and very prompt, and they would come by to change the grill--our server just knew when to do it without us having to ask! Just one thing we didn't really prefer was the green onion/minced garlic on top of the meats. You can't really taste it, and it just ends up burning. It also didn't smell super smoky or feel greasy in there, which I appreciated. Super worth it and would definitely come back again if we visit!

Definitely worth the wait! We went to 888 Japanese BBQ on a Friday night, and they don't take reservations, so we had to join the waitlist. We ended up waiting about 2 hours, which honestly wasn't surprising because this place was clearly popping and very popular! They do stop adding people to the waitlist at a certain point since they close around midnight, so I'd definitely recommend getting there early enough to make sure you can get on the list. It can get a bit noisy in there but we were so busy eating it didn't even phase us. There is also plenty of parking as it's in a plaza. Once we finally got seated, we went with the B Menu for AYCE Japanese BBQ and tried a really good variety of dishes. I highly recommend the cucumber lobster salad and the Galbi/Bulgogi was always in our orders! They do have alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks but we did not get to try the drink menu as we were stuffing our faces with galbi. Overall, the wait was absolutely worth it! If you're coming on a busy Friday or weekend night, just be prepared to wait

I've had this place in my bookmarks for a long time ! So glad I was finally able to make it during one of my trips to vegas. We ordered the C menu. All the items we had were great. We also had some great recommendations from our servers., Some items were limited to one per person. Wagyu brisket and Kobe beef were SO good. Probably our favorites. The truffle scallop is also worth a try! We didn't order much on the sushi menu but the snow crab and chili garlic salmon roll are honorable mentions! Fortunately we were able to add ourselves to the wait list prior to coming. The wait was still roughly 3 hours for us. I normally like trying new restaurants every time I come, but may need to revisit this place! Definitely worth it.

Filthy floors. My feet kept slipping with the discarded food underneath me from previous diners

After hearing nothing but good things about 888, my husband decided to take me here for a celebratory dinner for my new job! This location is extremely popular, so it was super convenient that you're able to join their online waitlist. When we arrived, we only waited about 10 minutes before being seated. How convenient! The atmosphere is fantastic. It's very relaxed, but the dark woods, black booths, lighting, and museum-esque art makes it a great place for celebrations! My husband and I ordered from Menu A, which is the cheapest at about $28 per person. There was an overwhelming amount of food to choose from so we didn't feel the need to order from the other menus. You're given 90 minutes to enjoy the AYCE and the servers are extremely attentive, ensuring you're truly get the most out of those 90 minutes. We ordered way too much food and I was already stuffed 45 minutes in lol but we kept ordering some things, just at a slower pace. I personally really enjoyed the Ribeye Steak (maximum 1 per person), the miso pork belly, and beef brisket. We ordered a few sushi rolls too and I devoured the Hawaiian Roll; so good! We ate mostly meat, but we loved the king oyster mushrooms. The sweet corn was good, but took a wildly long time to cook. We also indulged in a few adult beverages. The beer cocktails sounded fun so I started with a Yuzu Blue Moon which was very refreshing, but a little too filling. My husband had the Golden Mango Cart which just tasted a bit more crisp than the regular Mango Cart. We finished off with ice cold mugs of Sapporo; literally ice cold lol the top of the beers were like a slushy. A very welcome reprieve from the heat of the cook tops. I am docking a star because staff was not good about cleaning the floors of the booths. After sitting down I noticed my feet were slipping around like crazy and that's when I noticed there was a bunch of discarded food underneath me, including some kind of slippery seafood. When they were cleaning tables around us I noticed they never swept under the tables, only cleaned the tabletops and wiped down the seats. I know they were crazy busy, but cleanliness still needs to be a top priority. Other than the dirty floors, this was a fun dinner! Our total bill was just over $80 which is fantastic for all the food we had plus 2 beer cocktails and 2 regular beers. I would definitely come back as well as try their other location.

Came in with my family with a party of 19 and the staff were very accommodating! We were sat in a private room off to the side and the ambiance was nice to spend time with each other. The food was top tier and everything went exceptionally well! Our server EJ and Mia added to the experience my family and I had. Even when we had a large party, he still made an effort to ask how everything was and checked in to make sure everything went good! Great food, great service and great company. Definitely will be coming back again, 10/10 experience!

Original review still stands. I love this place! Hot Tip: If you want to eat without waiting I would still recommend arriving at the restaurant between 11-11:15am and joining the line at the front. They start to take names down at around 11:15 am, but do not let anyone in until 11:30am. Once inside the restaurant you let the hostess know which menu you will be choosing and are seated and served right away! We also learned that if your grill starts to create a big fire to just add water on top to let it die. Lol Shoutout to our server for helping us and giving us this tip. Will be back again!

The variety of food in this place is fantastic! The service is always so polite and very fast. Noelani was always looking out to make sure we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. The place although packed was super clean. We absolutely love this place!

Found my new fav AYCE place in Vegas! The reviews really don't lie and the crazy wait outside constantly also don't lie. This place has high quality meats, wagyu& Kobe beef galore! On top of that there is also a great selection of premium sushi rolls and sashimi. They have 3 tiers but highest tier comes with all the premium meats, highly recommend! Aside from the amazing quality of meats and food, they are so incredibly efficient and nice here! All servers are amazing - shout out to Mia who was our server and was super nice, helpful & was always catering to our every need!

Been wanting to try this spot for awhile now. This was where I was hoping to eat at for my birthday. We were in town and so we finally checked it out. We made reservations on the Yelp waitlist and arrived on a Monday evening for dinner recently. 888 Japanese BBQ is located in a shopping center close to Chinatown in Las Vegas. Parking is accessible in the large parking lot surrounding the restaurant. The restaurant is fairly big as there are plenty of rooms with booths and yakiniku tables. An inviting bar with plenty of stools is to the right. The decor is culturally modern with dark walls. As soon as you walk in, the vibe is welcoming and bustling. We chose the B prime AYCE option along with a glass of Chardonnay and a glass of Yamazaki Whisky. There were so many great options to choose from. Everything we ordered was so delicious. Some of the standout favorites we had were the Harami Miso, Prime Bistro Hangar Steak, Prime Fatty Rib, Beef Tongue, and the Miso Pork Belly. All the meats were so juicy, flavorful, and tender with every bite. The Prime fatty rib and Harami Miso just melts in your mouth. The tri sauce tray complemented the meat very well. Our drinks were refreshing. Overall we enjoyed our experience at 888 Japanese BBQ. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. We appreciated the fun and family friendly atmosphere of cooking our own Japanese BBQ. Most of the food was high quality. The price point for all 3 of the premium AYCE options were fairly priced. We hope to be back with other family and friends next time we are in town.

I'm not gonna lie- I would probably have given a 3.5 stars but my boyfriend said he'd give it 4.5 stars, so splitting the difference and going with 4 stars. Good value, decent quality with a large variety. Service was 5 stars. Delicious sides and something to please everyone. There is a 90 min limit, and by the end of it, we were so full we prob wouldn't have been able to order more if we tried. S'mores were also included in the AYCE and a wonderful way to cap off the meal!

    Stephy L.

Really good ayce bbq + sushi options. They have three menus that you can choose from that varies from quality of meat and extra items you get. Our group went with the highest tier, which was $45.95pp. Honestly that is such a great deal for Kobe. Some items were limited to one per person, but it was a good amount. There was so much to the menu that it was so hard to order everything. We went back to our favorites, which were the kobe meats, beef tongue, and the waygu briskets. There were so many sushi rolls and all of them were a hit but they do fill you up quicker. Each order came with 4 pieces. The cocktails are great too. They have a slushi machine with options for your cocktails. My husband got the beer cocktail, which was half beer and half calpico slushi and it was yummy. Service was good. The server would come back multiple times to clear our table and ask if we wanted to order more. Love that you can put your name down on the waitlist and come closer to time. That definitely saves time, but you have to make sure you check it. Some time the wait was 3-4 hours! If you time it correctly, then it'll work out perfectly. Definitely will come back and maybe check out their other locations!

Oh how I love this place I've never had a bad experience here. The only thing I could say is sometimes the wait times could be crazy so if you're in the area and you have something else to do stopping there first and put your name on the waitlist lol because sometimes they wait times are like an hour to an hour and a half They have different menus to pick from I've only ever gotten the most expensive I think it's like premium menu which comes with like Wago and some of the carpaccio's poke salad I'm not sure what kind of dressing they put on their poke salad but save the dressing because I like to dip my meat in that dressing and it's delicious !!!' the workers are always friendly. They come around very often. You don't have to wait a long time which is great. Me and my friends love this place we come here at least once a month minimum I highly recommend

We joined the waitlist ahead of time which I recommend since it's ALWAYS popping. We came in and got sat when we checked in pretty quickly. Our server was EJ. I'm not sure if he was newer or if he was just having an off day, but it seemed like we weren't getting checked up on out of the four tables he had in our section and he was pretty slow. I kept on having to ask him for stuff and kind of felt like I was bothering him. I love the area we sat, we were like in area with four different booths. There was different booths around With a small wall, parting them. It was great. We were right by the kitchen, so we got to see when things were coming out. The food was absolutely phenomenal as usual. I love this place so much and I will come back just for the food alone.

    Do they cook for you?

They cook the appetizers that are served cooked the sushi rolls that are served but the raw meats are served Korean BBQ style where you have a grated grill at every table

Is the Kobe option worth the price?

    Yes

The ice cream shown is not included?

S'mores are included ice cream is free if you check in on yelp otherwise it's $2.50 per cup…

    All you can eat?

Yes. There are three tiers, different price per tier. 2nd is most popular. All tiers AYCE.

Do you mean dine alone? Most AYCE requires two people. Never know unless you give them a call.

Do they have high chairs available?

    Yes.

    Is there a vegetarian price?

    No.

    Can we purchase gift cards?

I would like make 8 person reservation for tomorrow night 6:00 P.m.?

I was told to go on to the Yelp waitlist and put in how many people you have. They don't actually take reservations. 😐

Is the seafood wild caught or farm raised?

I do not see All You Can Eat menu? Is this place offering AYCE?

Yes. One of the best in town

Does everyone in your party have to get all you can eat?? Or can one person order differently?

It's AYCE only. Everyone at the table has to get the same price point. There are three AYCE prices to choose from, each price point comes with different offerings.…

Can we call them for a table for 7 to join the waitlist or do we have to go in person?

If you time it right, you can join the Yelp waitlist at 3ish. Put the max # of ppl and then in the note, put party if 7. If not, you will have to go there & put your name down. It is really good stuff there at 888!

    How much is the prime?

$44.95. Worth it in my opinion.

We've done the yelp waitlist, but it's usually for parties of 6 and fewer. if we have a party of 12, how do we go about joining the waitlist, since they don't take reservations?

You would have show up in person and make a reservation at the restaurant

How does the menu work? Say we go with the middle tier. Then we each pick how many items? 5? Do we all have to pick the same however many items or do we get different picks from that middle tier?

There can only be a certain amount of meats order at a time for the whole table. They allot you about 3-4 meats, 3-4 side dishes at a time for thr whole party. If each person order 5 for a party of 5, too many dishes at the table. PLUS, the gril is…

Can we enjoy any of the marinated meats without MSG (Monosodium glutamate?) My husband experienced a stroke with brain damage as a result of monosodium glutamate.

They're definitely seems to be some choices that come marinated. I would just get the non marinated and not dip into any sauces

How much does a kid charge?

According to their website: Angus – Adults: $24.95 (Kids ages 4-8 cost $14.95) Prime – Adults: $28.95…

It's located off the Strip in a somewhat hidden, out-of-the-way plaza, which gives it more of a local, low-key feel. One thing I noticed right away was that the menu posted in the lobby didn't have prices, but the menu behind the register did. They have a huge selection of food, so there are plenty of options to choose from. We ordered the burnt ends, brisket, mac and cheese, chicken sliders, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, and cornbread. The brisket was unfortunately overcooked, although the burnt ends were good. The meatloaf was okay but definitely not the best I've had. The mac and cheese was good, and the mashed potatoes were actually really good. The chicken sliders were just okay, and the cornbread didn't really stand out. Overall, I was a little disappointed because the reviews had me expecting something exceptional. Everything was decent, but honestly, the meal was pretty mediocre for me. Nothing was terrible, but nothing really blew me away either. I'd still give it four stars because there were several good items, the menu has a lot of variety, and our overall experience was fine. However, based on the ratings, I definitely expected more.
