This has to be the bestest sushi and yakiniku AYCE I've ever had in the States!! We went around 5:30pm and had about a 20-minute wait. It was accurate to what we were told, and we were able to sit by the bar area while waiting, so not bad at all! We all got the highest tier (C), and the premium meats were solid. The beef tongue was excellent! I also loved their variety of sushi. Service was friendly and very prompt, and they would come by to change the grill--our server just knew when to do it without us having to ask! Just one thing we didn't really prefer was the green onion/minced garlic on top of the meats. You can't really taste it, and it just ends up burning. Definitely worth the wait! We went to 888 Japanese BBQ on a Friday night, and they don't take reservations, so we had to join the waitlist. We ended up waiting about 2 hours, which honestly wasn't surprising because this place was clearly popping and very popular! They do stop adding people to the waitlist at a certain point since they close around midnight, so I'd definitely recommend getting there early enough to make sure you can get on the list. It can get a bit noisy in there but we were so busy eating it didn't even phase us. There is also plenty of parking as it's in a plaza. Once we finally got seated, we went with the B Menu for AYCE Japanese BBQ and tried a really good variety of dishes. I highly recommend the cucumber lobster salad and the Galbi/Bulgogi was always in our orders! They do have alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks but we did not get to try the drink menu as we were stuffing our faces with galbi. Overall, the wait was absolutely worth it! After hearing nothing but good things about 888, my husband decided to take me here for a celebratory dinner for my new job! This location is extremely popular, so it was super convenient that you're able to join their online waitlist. When we arrived, we only waited about 10 minutes before being seated. How convenient! The atmosphere is fantastic. It's very relaxed, but the dark woods, black booths, lighting, and museum-esque art makes it a great place for celebrations! My husband and I ordered from Menu A, which is the cheapest at about $28 per person. There was an overwhelming amount of food to choose from so we didn't feel the need to order from the other menus. You're given 90 minutes to enjoy the AYCE and the servers are extremely attentive, ensuring you're truly get the most out of those 90 minutes. We ordered way too much food and I was already stuffed 45 minutes in lol but we kept ordering some things, just at a slower pace. I personally really enjoyed the Ribeye Steak (maximum 1 per person), the miso pork belly, and beef brisket. We ordered a few sushi rolls too and I devoured the Hawaiian Roll; so good! We ate mostly meat, but we loved the king oyster mushrooms. The sweet corn was good, but took a wildly long time to cook. We also indulged in a few adult beverages. The beer cocktails sounded fun so I started with a Yuzu Blue Moon which was very refreshing, but a little too filling. My husband had the Golden Mango Cart which just tasted a bit more crisp than the regular Mango Cart. We finished off with ice cold mugs of Sapporo; literally ice cold lol the top of the beers were like a slushy. A very welcome reprieve from the heat of the cook tops. I am docking a star because staff was not good about cleaning the floors of the booths. After sitting down I noticed my feet were slipping around like crazy and that's when I noticed there was a bunch of discarded food underneath me, including some kind of slippery seafood. When they were cleaning tables around us I noticed they never swept under the tables, only cleaned the tabletops and wiped down the seats. I know they were crazy busy, but cleanliness still needs to be a top priority. Other than the dirty floors, this was a fun dinner! Came in with my family with a party of 19 and the staff were very accommodating! We were sat in a private room off to the side and the ambiance was nice to spend time with each other. The food was top tier and everything went exceptionally well! Our server EJ and Mia added to the experience my family and I had. They start to take names down at around 11:15 am, but do not let anyone in until 11:30am. Once inside the restaurant you let the hostess know which menu you will be choosing and are seated and served right away! Always a Pleasure!! For Hungry Monster's birthday month, one of our friends recommended this spot for a small group get-together. I remembered coming here once before... but apparently my memory decided to take the day off because I completely forgot how good the experience was! Located at the southeast corner of Decatur and Spring Mountain, 888 Korean BBQ is pretty easy to find. Parking is plentiful in the plaza, although you're sharing it with the other businesses, so on a busy night, finding a spot might require a little patience... and possibly a prayer. We went with the higher-tier menu, which included all the premium meats--and let me just say, we understood the assignment. I'll keep this short and sweet: THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS! The premium cuts were honestly better than I expected. Everything tasted fresh, and unlike some of the BBQ spots we frequent, nothing came across as frozen or lacking flavor. And Duc... THANK YOU for ordering the fresh, homemade wasabi! Good Lord, that stuff was GOOD. It paired incredibly well with the meats. I may or may not have eaten enough of it to clear my sinuses for the next six months. As for what we ordered? Let's just say if it had a big picture on the menu, we ordered it. LOL. Basically ALL the premium meats. When Hungry Monster is involved, "moderation" is apparently not on the menu. Customer service was excellent as well. Found my new fav AYCE place in Vegas! The reviews really don't lie and the crazy wait outside constantly also don't lie. This place has high quality meats, wagyu& Kobe beef galore! On top of that there is also a great selection of premium sushi rolls and sashimi. They have 3 tiers but highest tier comes with all the premium meats, highly recommend! Been wanting to try this spot for awhile now. This was where I was hoping to eat at for my birthday. We were in town and so we finally checked it out. We made reservations on the Yelp waitlist and arrived on a Monday evening for dinner recently. 888 Japanese BBQ is located in a shopping center close to Chinatown in Las Vegas. Parking is accessible in the large parking lot surrounding the restaurant. The restaurant is fairly big as there are plenty of rooms with booths and yakiniku tables. An inviting bar with plenty of stools is to the right. The decor is culturally modern with dark walls. As soon as you walk in, the vibe is welcoming and bustling. We chose the B prime AYCE option along with a glass of Chardonnay and a glass of Yamazaki Whisky. There were so many great options to choose from. Everything we ordered was so delicious. Some of the standout favorites we had were the Harami Miso, Prime Bistro Hangar Steak, Prime Fatty Rib, Beef Tongue, and the Miso Pork Belly. All the meats were so juicy, flavorful, and tender with every bite. The Prime fatty rib and Harami Miso just melts in your mouth. The tri sauce tray complemented the meat very well. Our drinks were refreshing. Overall we enjoyed our experience at 888 Japanese BBQ. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. Make sure to get on the waitlist well before your seating time! Though we didn't time it perfectly and came a little after our table was ready (and subsequently removed off the waitlist), the hostess was able to add us back on once we arrived and we got seated within the next 10 minutes. We had a big group of 7, so I was pleased to see they had plenty of tables to be able to host large parties. Service was QUICK. Though it was a little challenging to have 1 grill for such a large party, we were able to figure out a system to pass food down to one end of the table. The quality of meats and sushi were great! I appreciated that the portions were smaller, which allowed you to try more things. We opted for Menu B - at $34.95 is a steal! The sushi came out in 4 pieces, so we ordered a handful of rolls - all of which were perfectly sized to not get us too full, and very flavorful. There were some items that had a maximum you can order per person for each meal (ie: snow crab and more) - so make sure to take advantage and max out those orders if you want! The meat selection for the B menu had plenty of options. We were able to double up on quantities of certain cuts, which helped with such a large party. All in all, this place is great if you're able to time the waitlist correctly! We were concerned about one of the diner's flight times, but not only did she get plenty of food well before her flight time, but they also offered to store her luggage in their closet, which was a nice gesture! Really good ayce bbq + sushi options. They have three menus that you can choose from that varies from quality of meat and extra items you get. Our group went with the highest tier, which was $45.95pp. Honestly that is such a great deal for Kobe. Some items were limited to one per person, but it was a good amount. There was so much to the menu that it was so hard to order everything. We went back to our favorites, which were the kobe meats, beef tongue, and the waygu briskets. There were so many sushi rolls and all of them were a hit but they do fill you up quicker. Each order came with 4 pieces. The cocktails are great too. They have a slushi machine with options for your cocktails. My husband got the beer cocktail, which was half beer and half calpico slushi and it was yummy. Service was good. The server would come back multiple times to clear our table and ask if we wanted to order more. Love that you can put your name down on the waitlist and come closer to time. That definitely saves time, but you have to make sure you check it. Some time the wait was 3-4 hours! If you time it correctly, then it'll work out perfectly. I rarely leave reviews like this, especially for a restaurant I have frequented and recommended to others, but our experience on September 15 was unacceptable. My family flew in from out of town, and because I had always spoken so highly of this restaurant, I chose it for our family dinner and two birthday celebrations. We had a party of six and selected the most expensive dining package because I wanted this to be a special experience for everyone. Instead, I left embarrassed, disappointed, and honestly regretting that I brought my family here. Our server was incredibly rude, dismissive, and made us feel as though we were an inconvenience from the beginning. I have NEVER been treated this way at this establishment. We fully understood the one-hour seating policy--that was not the issue. The issue was being rushed by a server who was herself slow to return to our table, and then being met with an impatient and rude attitude when she did. If you are going to enforce a strict dining time limit, the service needs to support that time limit. Guests should not lose valuable dining time waiting for their server and then be made to feel like they are the problem. What bothered me most was that this was supposed to be a celebration. Two birthdays. Family who traveled from out of town. Six guests purchasing the highest-priced package. Yet there was very little sense of hospitality, celebration, or even basic courtesy from our server. I had built this restaurant up to my family based on my previous experiences, so walking out feeling embarrassed was especially disappointing. When guests choose your establishment for an important occasion and spend that kind of money, they should not leave feeling rushed, unwelcome, and disrespected. The food wasn't what ruined our evening--the service did. Management should seriously address this because one employee's attitude can undo years of positive experiences and turn a loyal customer into someone who questions whether they will return. read more

I continued my birthday in Vegas! I've been wanting to try this spot, so I was glad this was the first spot on our trip. We chose the prime and it was only $33.95 per person! I just like getting the meats, but they also wanted the philly roll, green salad, spicy tuna roll, green roll, lobster roll, albacore crunchy roll, spicy cucumbers, cream cheese wonton, seaweed salad, king oyster mushroom, pineapple, kimchi, cheese fondue, miso soup, rice, pickle set, spring roll, and radish wrap. This was my first time here and it was packed. We had a party of 11 and a few of our party arrived at 6:30pm since they don't take reservations. You can check in on Yelp but the restaurant had turned that option off for a while due to multiple large parties. With that being said, definitely expect a wait, especially for a large party. We got seated at 9pm and our waiter was super prompt in helping us with the menu and ordering. They have 3 tiers you can choose from. Our group went with the A tier for $28.95 because it had plenty of great options and we didn't feel like we needed more than that. We had two grills between our group. We were told we could order five grill sections which include included meats and vegetables, five sushi rolls, and five appetizers at a time. We were informed that there were certain items you could only order one of, but I don't remember what those items were. We didn't seem to order those items. With the five meats, you can order multiple orders of one meat. It just can't exceed five different meats. We started with 3 orders of spicy pork, 3 orders of shabu, 3 orders of ribeye, five different sushi rolls, fried gyoza, cold tofu, addicting, cucumber, cream, cheese, wontons, garlic Ramen, etc. The food was delicious. All of our meats came out really fast. The meats were super fresh and perfectly cut in seasoned. I was super impressed with that ribeye. I could not believe that this thick cut of steak was A tier. It was incredible. I do suggest making sure that you order a side of the sesame oil with sea salt because I think that's the best compliment to the meat. The garlic Ramen was a huge bowl and it was really good. Just a little warning if you happen to be on a date, it was really garlicky. We all really enjoyed the appetizers. The addicting cucumber was probably my favorite. I'm not super crazy about Korean barbecue places that I've been. I tend to get really hot and the temperature here at our table stayed at a comfortable level even in the middle of Las Vegas summer. I have to say they did really well with bringing out food at a great pace and keeping us under a 90 minute. It felt like we were there so much longer and we were there just barely over an hour. I don't drink much but their drinks looked amazing. They had such a variety of mixed drinks. They looked very large also. If you're a drinker, definitely ask to get the drink menu. They also have desserts that you can purchase. Our entire table opted to get the dessert that comes with the meal. We were quite happy with that option. Who doesn't love s'mores. Going to 888 Japanese BBQ was the highlight of my recent Vegas trip! I came here with some friends for Saturday to wind down after gambling at the Strip. PWe came in at opening so we could get seated immediately (the line can get long if you don't go early) There is plenty of parking space as well. The staff were very nice, delivered meat fast, and responsive. We got the AYCE Option B meal, which came with a great selection of delicious meat. The grill was powerful, and had some real heat to it. I liked the hanger steak, beef brisket, LA kalbi and the Prime Harami Miso. The meat definitely had good quality and was marinated well. Before we know it, my friends and I were finishing plate after plate. We left with full bellies and a happy faces. This place is a must try while you're in Vegas.
