Always had nice service here. The food is good though the sushi rolls are pretty small compared to some other places. But they are always 50% off so you can get a bunch. We enjoy trying new ones and they have a big menu. They also offer other items. We tried the chicken fried rice recently which was pretty ok. Also had the gyoza and spring rolls. Nothing blew us away. Seemed more like a diner where a lot of the food may be already prepared... so it's not exactly fresh. But it's fast service, good prices, and the food isn't bad. Food was cold and the entree arrived before the appetizer. I ordered a salad for the appetizer. They did not give us plates and when asked proceeded to give us more sushi plates for our rice. The rice was bland and cold. Picked up our signed receipts while we were still sitting down and cleaned up our plates as we were grabbing our last bites. She did not ask if we were finished with our meal, which we weren't. She was rude. Good servers deserve good tips. Previously they added gratuity to the bill without our consent for only a 2 person bill. So this time we assumed it was there and continued to leave. The rolls with the exception of the vegetable rolls (cucumber, avocado, etc) are half price. The pricing is the equivalent of getting sushi from a supermarket basically, so why not get something better than supermarket quality for about the same price? I am not a huge fan of the pho, I don't think it has enough meat in it. My favorite is the super crunch roll. The bento box is totally not worth the price. My bf ordered the tonkatsu bento box and the tonkatsu was the size of a tiny pork chop. If you are ordering take out make sure you order at least 20-25 minutes in advance. If not, you'll wait forever. Sushi is worth the price. If we want sushi, this is where we go. Not sure I can say this would be the go to place for anythings else though. I came twice to this place. It's clean and decent inside. They make sushi fresh. Last I went was during lunch time. It was busy. They have 50% off sushi (select menu). The menu is comprehensive with many kinds to pick from. I got Georgia roll and spider roll. The server I had was nice and attentive. The rolls came out in 10 minutes. Decent sushi Rolls AND pho all at the same place! How much better can it get?! The first time I had food from this place was take-out after my baby. Eating sushi rolls after not being able to eat it for months was the best! But I had to make sure I wasn't just loving it because I was in withdrawal. I gave 4 stars because the regular prices seem too expensive. Rolls ranged from $5 to $15. Nigiri was like $2-3/piece. They had a 50% off sushi promotion so its reasonably priced now. We ordered 6 rolls and eel nigiri...the 3 of us came really hungry but left VERY FULL (bill was around $45 so that's good). The bayou roll was our favorite (big spicy tuna roll topped with fried crawfish meat). The eel nigiri was good but $3 for two pieces didnt seem "halfprice". The salmon roll had big chunks of tasty salmon. Least favorite roll was hawaiian - had thin sliced pink tuna over a cucumber/crabmeat roll and tuna didn't taste like high quality dark red tuna I've had elsewhere (haru ichiban spoiled me). If that's the same tuna they serve nigiri style I would avoid it. Overall, I will definitely come back for halfprice rolls. I normally don't eat rolls so it was a good experience and I found some new cravings. Surprisingly, we saw many people having pho so next time I'll try that too. I'm currently in love with dai loi #3 on PH after trying at least 10 places around so it'll be hard to impress me with pho. YES! This place hit the spot. We live in Cumming and have tried all the cheap sushi spots up there, and they're all abysmal. My husband and I go to this place a lot because we love phos and rolls. Yesterday, we ordered two phos and one roll through Ubereats. The pho was good as usual, but the volcano roll was burned a lot... as soon as I opened the box, I knew something was not right because it looked so burnt on the side, and when I actually ate them, it wasn't just the side, but whole top was burned. I don't like writing bad reviews but i have 3 MAJOR issues with this establishment: (I should add that the first 3 times my girlfriend and I went, it was great) 1. SERVICE - Being that we have been here several times to make sure, we can attest that service is very hit or miss. If you get the right server, they treat you with respect and may even speak to you about things regarding life or suggestions for the menu. But gradually, it's just declined to the point that we had 2 servers bouncing us back and forth and sharing our table with the OWNER of the restaurant. Service should never require 3 people to wait on 1 couple. 2. ACCURACY - You want to make sure you watch your bill around this restaurant. We as a couple got separated checks with double what we ordered. Regarding accuracy of the details, we didn't get straws for our drinks until we finished our food. We only received straws because we asked (about 3 times). During times like these, my comfort and trust in putting my mouth on a public cup is very low. 3. RACISM - If you eat pho, you know the importance of adding ingredients to your meal. A major component being the plate of bean sprouts, basil, lime, jalapeños, and cilantro. We enjoy using chili sauce as well. When we looked around at everyone around us, (we were the only people of color within the establishment) we noticed that everyone but us received an abundance of additional toppings. We look back to our table to see our 2 jalapeños and handful of bean sprouts and don't really feel the warm customer service that we so much enjoy at other restaurants. And regarding the chili sauce, there's a man in there who consistently tells us they don't have any (this has happened about 3 separate visits, each time by the same guy). Being this time the owner was in there, we asked and he rushed over to tell her that they didn't carry such a sauce, looked at her, and tried to discreetly nod his head no. However, they definitely had the sauce and the owner had to provide it, as the male waitress refused to give it to us. Finally, they gave us the wrong sushi. At this point, I fear one of our preferred pho places, has turned into a never again destination. read more

Considering the prices of the food at Yu-ka. For what you get, the price is pretty decent than other sushi or pho places. As someone who's grown up with a stepparent who makes sushi for living, the sushi at Yu-ka isn't horribly cheap quality and authentic. Roll and Pho. How could I not come in? They literally combined two things I love the most... Naturally this has to be a 5 star review right? Wrong. Like other reviews mentioned, the pho should come with some basil. The side has all the other common ingredients but no basil. The meat in the pho has no flavor.
