    Salmon Belly

Located in the Sheraton San Gabriel, and well worth a visit. They are closed on Monday's so plan accordingly. Its Wednesday and I don't really want to go anywhere, so I decided to check out Yuki Sushi. I'm very glad I did. I ended up gettting a norder of seaweed salad, salmon belly and a tuna bowl. Everything was very fresh and tasted wonderful. What I really loved (besides how tasty the food was), was how well it was presented. It is definitley worth a 2nd, 3rd or more visit, and I felt it was reasonably priced for a hotel restaurant.

Introduction: - My girlfriend was craving sushi and we decided to check this place out. - located inside the Sheraton. Parking can be validated at the front desk. Pros: - Handrolls were absolutely delicious. We got the salmon and the scallon hand roll. They filled it up with some fatty and juicy fish to the base- - Also, ordered the Yuki special- it is tempura shrimp base and eel combination. Its pretty tasty with a mix of ginger and wasabi to balance the sweetness. - the atmosphere is a fine dining experience. - service was super quick and attentive all the way thru! Overall: - this restaurant will fill you up with some bomb fine sushi. Stomache is happy.

This is our first experience at this Japanese restaurant located inside the Sheraton Hotel. The place is modern, quiet, and spacious. Food was exceptionally fresh and delicious. The chef and staff were attentive and very hospitable. We ordered the chirashi bowl and the sashimi was fresh and thick, every bite is a feast for the taste. The roll was tasty as well. Definitely will come back to try their Omakase and other items on the menu.

Great experience here on a Sunday night! We have known the sushi chef, Paul, for some time now. He's always been friendly and good company to be around! The restaurant is located inside Sheraton. The interior design is unlike other sushi restaurants in SGV, more upscale and modern. The place is kind of quiet though... I feel like we had to whisper during dinner Sushi is fresh and the rolls are also delicious! Would come again :)

Yuki Sushi is new and they recently opened their doors this past February. My boyfriend and I were craving sushi a few nights ago and we're so glad we found this hidden gem. It's been a while since we've had sushi this good and might be our new favorite spot. Their menu is simple. They serve up classics with a contemporary twist but if there's something you don't see on the menu, feel free to ask the chef. If they have it, they will serve it. We shared: ミックスカルパッチョ (Mixed Carpaccio) $21 | 江戸前ちらし寿司 (Edomae Chirashi Sushi) $28 | Shrimply Irresistible Roll $16.5 | Dragon Roll $15.5. We don't yet have a favorite but maybe when we come back. The fish were flavorful and tender yet firm while the rice was perfectly seasoned. Not sure what fish was in the Mixed Carpaccio aside from 鮭 (Shake, Salmon). The Chirashi included 本鮪 (Hon Maguro, Bluefin Tuna), トロ (Toro, Fatty Bluefin Tuna), 鯛 (Madai, Japanese Sea Bream/Snapper) and 鮭 (Shake, Salmon). Being locally owned, they use quality fish sourced locally as well as from Japan. We ordered the perfect amount of food with just a few pieces left to take home. It's located inside the Sheraton Hotel. You get complimentary validation for up to three hours in their parking structure. If you park in the structure, take the elevator up to the lobby floor, pass the lobby and you should see some signs for the restaurant or ask the employees at the front counter how to get there. We came on Monday at 6 PM as walk-ins without a wait. The inside is modern and feels upscale without the high price tag. There is plenty of seating and we chose to sit at the bar. Chef Paul and the server were very friendly and attentive. He offered to help us decide on our order based on what we were craving and even encouraged us to explore off-menu options. The price here is just right for the quality and quantity.

This sushi restaurant is INSIDE Sheraton. You get the luxury hotel ambiance without having to take a vacation. Parking is free in the garage, just make sure to validate after the meal. Sushi was fresh, rolls were good as expected. I'm a fan of the fresh uni. It was a good amount and really smooth. Would recommend to give this place a try, especially for a date night.

We came on Mother's Day. This place was a hidden gem. It's inside the Sheraton hotel. The chef welcomed us, had us seated and recommended a few items. It was really nice of him to give us pointers on what to order. The miso cod & yellowtail plate ($40) was the best. The cod had great flavor & cooked perfectly. The carpaccios were good too. My favorite carpaccio was the yellowtail one. I would skip the raw oyster if you don't like large oysters like me. I prefer the smaller ones that are sweeter cause the larger ones are just too slimy. They were $3.95 each which was hefty in my opinion. Overall we enjoyed our meal & the service was excellent. All the servers were very attentive.

New sushi restaurant which opened inside the Sheraton hotel in SGV area. I came here twice already and my experience had been great. I've tried a few of their sashimi and also their omakase. Make sure to call in at least 1 day if you want to do omakase so the chef can prepare. The restaurant is right next to Omaniku and there are plenty of seating. Looks like they are currently short staffed so make sure you have between 1-2 hours on hand. Their sushi quality was really good at an affordable price. The chef was also really kind and attentive. Check them out if you're in the area!

Stumbled upon Yuki Sushi when my friends were in staying at the Sheraton hotel. My friends actually dined at Yuki the night before and said it was sooo good that I had to come try it so they can order even more dishes tonight! The restaurant is so spacious and the searing was wide and comfortable! It is definitely a great spot to catch up with friends! The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We ordered a lot of food but I forgot to take photos or just because my friends couldn't wait to get their hands on the sushi! My favorite was the baked salmon roll because it came out hot and the sauce was not drowning the roll! Everything was super fresh! Parking is also super easy, you can just park in the garage and the Sheraton offers 3 hours free validations!

For a high-end date, this is the place to be. From affordable lunch, high-end dinner. It could be arranged. This place was a bit hard to find and ended up calling the restaurant to find out where the parking was. This place is inside the Sheraton hotel. If you buy food inside, you get your parking ticket validated. The ambiance was definitely there, and there's an attentive server. The charming chef that makes the food. Was it a good place to come once in a blue moon? Yes, if you want to feel full, you probably need to buy a good amount. If you want to just taste really good food, it's good to come there. The quality is definitely there. Again, I'm not a fan of raw seafood. But I do know that seafood is not supposed to have a strong smell because the chef will use lemon or yuzu to cut the smell. Or even if they don't use citrus, the rice vinegar on the rice cut the smell. Taste? It does melt in your mouth. It's definitely different than ayce sushi place. It's a quiet dining place, and if you want to splurge, you can definitely try the omakase dining experience. I went here with my boyfriend and he was happy trying the food here. Then he took me to my favorite spots: wushiland for boba and 101 noodle express for my favorite noodles and dumplings. It's all about compromise. We both had a nice date experience for the evening

Eel Avocado Roll -- possibly one of my favs in the area

Outstanding service! Fresh and delicious food! Great place for sushi! The chef actually visited us and gave us a seared tuna on the house because it was our first time! It was very good - definitely sets the bar. Seared Salmon Roll - 4.2/5 Delicious. Flavorful, creamy. The baked salmon was very soft. Only complaint here would be the salmon slice being too thin. Tastes great though! Blossom Roll - 3.8/5 Good but didn't quite hit the spot. Spicy tuna avocado topped with yellowtail and garnished with onions. Fish tasted fresh so that's a plus! Eel Avocado Roll - 4/5 Very good, full with flavor, the rice was stickier than I'm used too but I definitely enjoyed it. Another plus was that the roll were lightly sauced. There is eel sauce around the plate in case you want. I appreciate the light sauce because sometimes it's too saucy. I'd order again.

I had family members from China visit recently and they stayed at the Sheraton hotel. They highly recommend the sushi bar there so I decided to give it a try. My girlfriend and I sat at the bar and we loved it. Fish was really fresh and service was great. Ambiance on the hotel is very nice too. Ps. There is validation so park in the garage

I remember when they first opened, I was thinking to myself, "Hell yeah, finally it's closer to us…read moreand now I don't have to go all the way to like Torrance or something." Well that was ages ago and it wasn't until now that I was able to visit and try out their delicious katsu, which hands down, is super good! I went during National Library Card Month. During the month of September, the city of Monterey Park is running a special where if you have a MPK library card, you can get deals and freebies from businesses and you can get an iced or green tea from Kagura if you show them your library card. I got a cold canned green tea, added to a cup of ice, refreshing and great with the delicious katsu that I got. I did a walk in for a slightly later lunch after dropping by Asayoru Maid Cafe across the street for a drink during their morning Asa shift. I went on a Thursday and was seated immediately. Staff is very friendly and checked up on me several times. It's a smaller restaurant, but it's simple and elegant in it's own way. No extra frills or bells and whistles. There were a couple other tables dining there and pick up orders too, so I can imagine it'd be busy during the weekends and lunch/dinner rushes. They have a paper wait list outside for those times. Limited parking in front of the plaza, but there's a parking structure next door. For my lunch, I got their demi glace loin katsu. It comes with miso soup, a side of rice, huge helping of cabbage salad with dressing, hot mustard, and some small sides of a sweet carrot salad, cucumber pickles, and 2 pieces of potatoes. Each side added a nice balance to flavor. I mention this in some reviews and to my friends that usually you get full because you get tired of the same flavor and texture all of the time, so I really enjoyed the small bites of crunchy texture from sweet, sour, and savory. The katsu is really where Kagura shines, as it's what they're known for. Super moist pork katsu meat inside, deliciously tender delicate layers of meat. The crisp of the breading outside isn't too greasy, but has the perfect level of indulgent oiliness that balances out. All perfect with a fluffy bed of rice and the demi glace brown sauce added a deliciously savory, slightly sort of fruity ketchup-y flavor (added this to my rice too!). Definitely want to come back to try more of their menu!

The karaage is really good. For $11 it's kind of a small portion but it's super tender. Probably…read moreone of the best karaage in the SGV. The ika geso was also $11 and even tinier portion. It was okay. I wouldn't need to order this one again. Minus one star for the portion but overall I would come back because I live across the street.
