Mikomi Sushi is now my go-to place for Japanese food in SGV. The yellowtail collar was fresh and crispy. The premium sashimi omakase were full of large slices of high quality fish, plus a small dropper of Ponzu sauce adds a wonderful touch. Toto truffle roll is tasty and delicious - I can't say enough good things about this place. The server were friendly and attentive. The ambiance is modern, cozy and comfortable. Highly recommended!

Great lunch special at 30% off entire menu! The rolls are filled nicely and made with care. Ordered the family sushi roll combo at (4 rolls for $65) Would definitely order the salmon lover roll and the salmon lemon roll (a big fan of seared salmon!) Their salmon toro nigri is to die for! Worth the $6 per piece and the truffle topping ties amazingly with the richness of the fish. Takoyaki and crispy rice tuna are good appetizer starters, no complaints.

Thankfully, we came back and the temperature inside the restaurant was perfect, not like before it was freezing inside! Thus, tonight, we enjoyed our dinner. First time trying Omakase, it was good, but want to experience a real Omakase. Really appreciate and enjoyed the sushi roll without rice, very tasty. Good customer service tonight.

When we walked in the restaurant was already packed because of the 30% off happy hour M-F until 5pm and Sat. And Sun. Until 3pm. What a deal! Not only was the price on point, the food was also so delicious! The customers were chatting away and you could tell everyone enjoyed their food. As soon as we placed our order, the food was brought out within 5 minutes. So efficient! These were the items we ordered: Rainbow roll Stinky garlic roll Salmon crunch roll Seared salmon ceviche roll Hawaiian roll Shrimp crunch roll Mikomi special roll Rainbow roll Belly trio Salmon trio vegetable tempura Cucumber roll Avocado roll Vegetable roll Salmon stone pot Every single dish was mouthwatering and the rolls were ginormous! We walked out of the restaurant happy, full, and thinking about what I would order next time. If you haven't been here, you're definitely missing out!!!

Service here was quick, kind, and dog friendly! Loved their outdoor patio :) We ordered the salmon crunch onion roll and BSCR! The salmon crunch onion roll was SO good! the sauces paired perfectly with crunch of the shrimp tempura inside the roll. The BSCR was a little saucy for my liking, but also had a great flavor. Overall, prices are a bit high, but I enjoyed my visit!

Came in on a Friday afternoon around 2pm. No line, great service and 30% off entire bill!? Husband and I were seated and our waitress was very attentive. We started with the squid legs and they were huge and yummy but a tad bit on the greasy side. Husband ordered his usual spider roll which was delicious and he also ordered the tuna and eel don which was absolutely delicious and fresh. Presentation was beautiful as well. I opted for the most basic dish beef teriyaki bento with mixed tempura. The beef was inedible the first time they brought it out, it was sooooo dry and tough even if I was pregnant I wouldn't want it. The waitress was really nice and sent it back and gave me another one. It wasn't any better than the first time but I didn't want to be inconvenient so I just didn't eat it. The mixed tempura was yummy but also a tad bit on the greasy side. I would come back and try one of their Don bowls and order the squid legs again. But definitely skip the beef teriyaki.

Mikomi was a great experience! I love the flow of the space with the eating area of the bar and kitchen and against the windows of the restaurant. It felt comfortable! The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. They got us sat, order taken and order served in a very short period of time, which I appreciate! This seems consistent with the last couple times I ate there. The last time was at the bar with the same impression. The rolls were VERY good! I am not a "fancy" roll guy where they put all kinds of sauces and mixtures a proteins and this menu doesn't have a lot of that. They have some but I am pretty happy with the mix of choices of sushi rolls in that it was difficult to decide which four to order (that's how many I eat). The sashimi is really good and fresh here also. Overall, I could not find anything I would change about Mikomi for a sushi eating experience! Probably a new go to!

Overall pretty good experience at Mokomi. The service was good and there are plenty of good options for sushi, noodles, and bbq dishes. I tried the regular Sushi Omakase, it had a nice variety of fresh fish. I really liked the Scallop and Yellowtail. As far as sushi goes I give it a 8/10 as it was tasty, but not mind blowing. We also got the Bscr roll which was ok, the scallops I think were not cooked entirely which make the texture inconsistent. 6.5/10. Price was well worth it overall and the ambience was nice enough to maybe try again.

My friends and I met here for lunch today. The restaurant is modern and clean. The restaurant has an expansive menu. Prices are reasonable. They have lunch and dinner specials. For appetizers we got the Brussel sprouts and miso black cod. Both were absolutely delicious! For lunch I ordered the katsu and shrimp tempura. The dish came out piping hot and well prepared. Service was really good! The servers were quick and efficient.

Right when we walked in, the ambiance was inviting. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. We went for the Happy Hour and wow! The food was fresh and the flavor profiles and unique pairings of the various rolls was a quite pleasurable burst of flavors. We will definitely be coming back to experience more rolls.

Came on a busy Friday night. Wait time was about average, about 40min. My fam and I love coming here. I love all the different options they have including for kids. Great food and friendly staff. Kevin our server was super polite and would check up on us when needed. I definitely really appreciated his great customer service and his polite service with my kids. He really tried to make a connection with all His customers outside. The food was fresh and delicious. I'm very basic so I was love my yellow tail cali roll, my miso soup, and baked muscles. The muscles are delicious and not overly covered in sauce. The tonkotsu ramen has a rich flavor and their chasu is probably the only one I've ever ate! Only because they grill theirs. It makes it taste sooo goood!!!! We will always come back! Thank you guys for everything tonight.

Stopped by on Saturday, 2/14/26 for the first time at this location (Valentines Day!) Dined in and ordered the following: - 1 salmon lover roll = $16.99 - 1 rainbow seaweed salad = $11.99 - 1 modelo (glass) = $7.99 - 1 lychee lush = $16.00 - 1 beef belly shaken fries = $15.99 - 1 belly trio = $16.99 - 1 citrus salmon roll = $17.99 - 1 broiled new zealand green mussels = $12.99 SUBTOTAL = $116.93 TAX = $12.28 OVERALL TOTAL = $129.21 Food was delicious! While we had to wait for quite some time for all of our orders to arrive, I also completely understand due to Valentines Day; super crowded that day. Additionally, regarding Happy Hour, you get everything 30% off (excludes alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks). Every day until 5pm for dine-in only. EXCLUDES HOLIDAYS (INCLUDING VALENTINES DAY) AND SPECIAL OCCASIONS. Bummer that we didn't get a discount that day but it's okay! This location is under a new ownership and not related to other Mikomi Sushi locations (the Alhambra location is independently owned).

This was my 2nd time here and brought my bf after I told him about the happy hour special for dine in. Usually parking isn't too much of an issue but as it's in a very busy shopping center you might have to park a bit further. We came around 2pm on Saturday and it was still pretty busy and we waited about 10-15 min for a table. I would recommend making reservation during peak times or for large group. They have a special where you can choose 4 rolls for about $65 and with the extra 30% off is a great deal which we got. The portions are good as well and quality is decent for what you get. I also ordered some nigiri on the side including ama ebi which comes with the fried head which I love and it was great. Service can be a little slow but they're managing a lot but was overall friendly. My bf bodied like 3 rolls lol and was shocked at how affordable the bill ended up being. We will definitely be back.

HH 30% off everything - does this include alcohol? I heard they stopped the discount on alcohol. Can anyone confirm?

Just so you know, the happy hour doesn't apply to all drinks.

Is the happy hour discount still going on? What are the hours?

Yes, Happy Hour and Lunch specials are going on. Check with business about hours. Get the fresh wasabi. Eat smaller, but eat better. 🍣😎

Is it good for groups of 6-8 people?

Yes absolutely. They can accommodate party of 6-8 as they have with us.

Does happy hour discount only apply to drinks or food as well?

The 30% off for happy hour applies to everything - food and drink!

What time does Happy Hour start & end?

11:30am to 5:00pm everyday.

Is everything priced individually or is there an all you can eat price?

Is the outdoor patio open now?

Yes they have outdoor as well.

Is this location all you can eat or priced per item?

Priced per item

When will you be open?

For appetizers we ordered the Takoyaki, chicken karage and our main dishes Deluxe Tsukemen x3. The Break down: Atmosphere: 4/5 They greet you as you walk in, which I sets the vibe. You're welcomed into a cozy apace that has some decorative elements even to the music choice. Reminds me of our trip to japan, which I MISS SO MUCH! The Food Takoyaki: $8.95. 4/5 Stars. - Comes in 5pcs with sauce and bonito flakes. I liked how the outside was a bit crunchy and inside was fluffy! Karage: $8.95. 5/5 Stars - Comes in 5pcs. The sauce was tangy sweet kind of like teriyaki sauce. It was crispy but still so juicy and soft. HANDS DOWN GET THIS! Loved it so much I could have a whole bowl Tsukemen: $22.45. 5/5Stars - If you aren't familiar with this, the broth is separate from the noodles. Its a different way of experiencing noodles. The broth is thick, creamy and flavor profile is on point. Inside of the broth there is mushrooms and pcs of pork. The noodles are cooked perfectly and also comes with pcs of nori, soft boiled jammy eggs and 4 pcs of thick chashu. Portion size lets just say they are generous and we all can EAT ^^, Kakigori (MATCHA) $8/$14. 5/5 Stars - Definite MUST! Its made with Japanese shaved ice, a very creamy soft cream matcha sauce and matcha powder! I cant tell you how good this dessert is. The wife is obsessed and one if the main reasons why we found this spot in the first place. Please try! Service: - Super friendly staff! They are quick to get our order and serve our meal. I asked for more limes for my noodles 2x and both times they were quick. Made us feel very welcomed and checked in on us on a regular, which also reminded us of the service Japan showed us once upon a time. Overall: We love this place and we keep coming back with new people to share this type of noodle experience. Check them out im sure you will enjoy it. Lets just say we drove an hour to eat this. You def will not be disappointed :)

The…read moreother two ordered tsukemen ($26.50 for the spicy deluxe and $23.50 for the spicy chasu) and found it very salty because they chose to consume it not by dipping the noodles in the bowl of broth, but rather by pouring all the broth from the bowl into the noodles, trying to recreate a normal bowl of ramen. I can't speak for them, but I will say, if you order the tsukemen and find that you want more dipping broth, that will be an extra charge. Order a regular bowl of ramen if you do not plan to dip the brothless noodles into the broth for each bite. BF and I both tried the spicy tuna bowl ($7.95), chashu bowl ($8.95), and tonkotsu ramen ($15.95). The bowls are a little smaller than the ramen bowls and are a great option if you want a light meal without feeling super full. The tonkotsu ramen had a slightly rich broth that was flavorful and a decent portion of noodles. We opted not to order the ramen with the egg since we were also trying the rice bowls. The three items were more than enough for the two of us and a good variety of food. Parking here is horrible at the street level, so head downstairs for the two levels of underground parking.

We walked into the Monterey Park location, which has a cozy, intimate dining room with an open kitchen that adds to the atmosphere as we watched bowls of ramen come together. Despite its popularity, the restaurant maintains a casual feel that makes it equally suitable for a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner. The energy of the room stays lively but comfortable, with the sounds of the kitchen and the hum of conversation filling the space without making it feel chaotic. The ramen is the clear highlight of the menu. We ordered the signature Daikoku Ramen and found it featured a creamy pork broth with a deep, savory flavor that paired well with the thin noodles, tender chashu, and seasoned egg. The chashu was soft and well marinated, and the egg was cooked to that perfect jammy consistency that added richness to the bowl. The black garlic oil is worth adding if you enjoy a richer, more aromatic bowl, as it adds a layer of depth that elevates the broth without overwhelming it. The spicy miso ramen offered a flavorful alternative without overwhelming heat, and the broth retained the creamy richness of the original while adding a warm, building spice. Beyond ramen, appetizers like the takoyaki and pork cutlet bowls round out the menu well, making it easy to share a few dishes, and the takoyaki had a crisp exterior with a soft, flavorful interior that made for a good start to the meal. Service is generally quick and efficient, especially considering how busy the restaurant can get during peak hours. The dining room is relatively small, so waits are common during lunch and dinner rushes, but tables tend to turn over at a steady pace. The staff keep things moving while still being friendly and attentive throughout the meal, checking in at the right moments and keeping the pacing comfortable. The turnover is efficient enough that even with a wait, the process feels smooth and the experience remains positive. Daikokuya remains a dependable choice for ramen in the area. It may not completely redefine what ramen can be, especially if you have had standout bowls in Japan, but the consistently flavorful broth, well-prepared noodles, and welcoming atmosphere make it an easy place to return to whenever you are craving a satisfying bowl of ramen. The balance of quality, efficiency, and a comfortable setting makes it a reliable stop for a warm, comforting meal.

The yuzu shio ramen was definitely lighter and more citrusy because of the yuzu, which I can appreciate, though it wasn't necessarily my preferred ramen flavor profile. I ordered it with chicken instead of pork, and I really appreciated that the karaage chicken came on the side so it stayed crispy and didn't get soggy in the broth. My partner really enjoyed the karaage chicken curry rice bowl. We also tried the tamagoyaki appetizer for the first time. Interesting flavor profile, but honestly it didn't really pair well with the rest of what we ordered, so we ended up taking most of it home and never really finishing it.
