    Full Meal

This is a great place if you want a hearty meal for a great price! The food is really good and some of the dishes have a lot of meat! I recommend getting the Chicken Adobo plate as it's one of the most worth it ones. The food takes a moderate time to make. Also, this place is more of a to-go restaurant, but there are available seating options. The ambiance is pretty chill and not crowded. Customers service was good.

Filipino pork sausage is delicious with fried rice and rice cake on the side.

Food is authentic and delicious. Service is great. Prices fair for the big portions. Ambiance is kinda chill. The tables are outside but very clean.

The portions here are kind of decieving. Plates are mostly rice and or pancit. The pancit is standard, maybe a little too salty for our taste. The both the chicken bbq and beef short ribs were marinated well. Definitely filipino style as it is very banana ketchup forward. Lumpia came out hot, decent amount of filling but for the price you only get 3-4 pieces. Nice to have Filipino food represented in this area. Overall just okay. Not sure if I would come back but worth a try. Bring your non-Filipino friends. All outdoor seating, picnic table style. There was a line on Sunday morning. Waited 35 mins for our food.

I ordered the chicken Adobo with Jasmine rice, and a rice cake, and a side of lumpia. The chicken was very tasty and not dry at all. I love that it tender and packed with flavor, the Jasmine rice was fluffed to perfection. The lumpia omg, yes delicious the dipping sauce is so tasty. I was very happy with my lunch. The service was very good, she was very precise in taking my order and making sure she got the order correct before sending it thru, I loved that. The wait wasn't long, and I will say the wait wasn't too long for the food, it was worth the wait. The ambiance was fun and a hidden gem in the open. I was very happy with my experience.

Lola Betty's Kitchen is a fantastic Filipino takeout place located in Old Town Camarillo across the street from Fred's Pizza & Woodfired Kitchen and near Planet Sushi. They serve huge portions of some of the best Filipino food I've ever had at great prices. I especially like their Chicken BBQ and the Longsilog (marinated beef) plates. They also offer great daily specials. Please note waits can be long when they're busy. However, the food is so good it's well worth it. Also, this is a minor detail, but they close their window after they take your order. The first time I was there I was worried that they had just closed. However, I learned that they do this after every order and it's nothing to be concerned about. Although they are mainly a takeout place they do have limited seating in front and a few picnic tables in the back if you want to eat there. So, if you're looking for a huge, delicious, Filipino meal at a great price I highly recommend Lola Betty's Kitchen.

I had the adobo plate and the portions are big. Tasted delicious and enjoyed the rice cake that came with it, a really nice touch especially after having garlic rice.

Well, I'll be damned. This place saved me a drive to Oxnard for foods. I was in town for a couple weeks and had been craving Filipino food, but my lazy ass didn't want to drive to Oxnard after hitting all the bowls. Then I remembered I still hadn't dropped in here since they opened. It's street parking only and there's always plenty of spots available any given day. I got the pork bbq skewer meal which came with 2 hefty scoops of rice, 3 skewers, pancit and a puto. Let me tell you something - when I say I ate everything. I should've taken an after photo because wow. Even that banana leaf at the bottom got licked clean. Yeah, I said it. Skewers- fire. Perfectly seasoned and super juicy. I hate dry meat. The dipping sauce they provided paired perfectly. I sure did use all of it. I loved how loaded that pancit was. There was a ton of veggies. Service was great. I only interacted with the lady working the front who was friendly and nice.

Low key gem in Old Town Camarillo! $17 short rib plate is a steal for the flavor, portion, and price! There should be lines down the block for this flavor but know this small town gem is worth the wait! Service is great and the waiting area out front is spacious and has seating! Thank you so much!

The food was so flavorful and made us want to take a nap afterwards. The portions are so generous so you won't feel hungry afterwards. We also ordered the lumpia which is missing in the pictures but it was crispy and tasty. This is definitely getting added to my go to spots.

Delicious food! Had the marinated beef plate. Tapsilog. Also had the lumpia. Very good and authentic Filipino food. Waited about 15 minutes for my food but it's worth the wait. Highly recommend!

The food is so good and the juice they have are phenomenal. Their service was really nice. A couple times I have gone. We decided to sit on the bench. They have in the back and it was so calming to eat and enjoy our food.

First time. Street parking is available and there is a nearby lot in walking distance. The place is tiny & cute located in old town Camarillo. It's either to-go or outdoor dining in the front or in the back. You order at the window and wait for your food (cooked to order). The young lady at the counter was very helpful and welcoming. We enjoyed the tapsilog (Filipino marinated beef) served with garlic rice, fried egg, vinegar based sauce, and puto (Filipino rice based sweet dessert). We also ordered the ube crinkles. These should have a slightly hard crispy exterior and soft inside. Unfortunately, the inside was also hard. That means they are not fresh. Too bad. Lastly, we ordered calamansi juice hoping it was fresh as well, but unfortunately it is a canned product. Hope in the future we can revisit and review if they announce selling only fresh ube crinkles and consider fresh calamansi juice, especially when they are in season just like now.

    Short rib. Very good.

The food is delicious. Served hot and fresh with generous portions. The lumpia is the best, 3 pieces for $5.

The service was fast and friendly and prices were reasonable for a street taco (in this economy). There is a table and some stools next to the truck, but I typically take it to go. I was happy to see that they had many of the staple meats here like asada, pastor, pollo, chorizo, carnitas, and cabeza, and was even more surprised that they had birria and tripas! However, I wish they had lengua which is my absolute favorite! We ordered the asada, pastor, carnitas, and birria street tacos and they were all so delicious. The meats were perfectly cooked and seasoned so well. We also ordered the shrimp and asada taco and WOW that one was amazing. The flavors of this taco melded so well together and there was even an avocado slice! I love a good verde sauce and Don Taco's is up there. I've been on a quest and I'm so happy I found a great spot to fulfill my taco needs. Some of my favorite taco spots are in LA and Don Taco is definitely comparable. I'm coming back to try their burritos and Asada fries! *Hot tip: service is fast, but sometimes there's a line so you can call in your order for pick up!

I shared this delight with my husband and we both enjoyed it. We tried a couple of the giant pastries that were on trays in a baking rack. You use a provided pair of tongs or plastic bag to pull your choice of pastry from the various trays. We tried two different croissant style confections and both were a hit. Though I have to say these were huge and we brought them home to eat them over a couple of days The fiilings are not overly sweet and have unique tastes like mango or pineapple. The crust is not flaky like a croissant nor is it dense like a cake but something in between with the creamy filling. There are picnic type tables outside on a narrow patio that you may have to clean off yourself if the previous patrons haven't tidied up after themselves. Inside, there's a wonderful, immaculately clean dining area with classic Mexican barrel chairs and tables. The floor is covered in dark tiles and it is very spacious. This is an order at the counter shop with the register and small bodega in the front as you walk in from the street. You place your order from a menu posted above and behind the register. That order is sent to the kitchen and your food is called out when it's ready. The market continues in the space behind the register, where you'll find all kinds of offerings from south of the border. The kitchen and deli is housed back there and I cannot stress how clean everything is. I would come back here again and again.
