I came here again last night and was hoping for consistency since the last visit was amazing. But unfortunately this time, it was not as great. Still good sushi, but not as great as it was the time before. The blue fin this time was not the same quality or maybe it's that I got the end of the cut, I'm not sure... and same with the salmon sushi & yellowtail ...some of the sushi was not cut as great either.. I thought that since we came on a Tuesday last time that maybe that was the day to go and I was wrong. I was so excited to get the experience I did last time but sadly disappointed. Service was also extremely slow. Our waitress skipped us a few times seeing that we were out of food and never filled our drinks until I had to ask.

My first time at this restaurant & if I lived closer I would definitely be making this a regular go to place. When I first arrived the parking lot was packed, & I was worried there may be a bit of a wait, especially since this was a spur of the moment stop so I didn't have a reservation. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to get a seat immediately upon entering. My server was very friendly & went over the menu a bit with me since it was my first time here, & I decided on doing the AYCE dinner that way I could try a bit of everything. I got some hot green tea as well as a bottle of Peach Soju. I got a whole pot for the tea, & the soju was served in a small ice bucket, which I thought was cool because I love to keep mine chilled! I started off with a couple appetizers & some sashimi, the presentation was amazing & the freshness of the seafood delicious! My favorite was definitely the Blue Fin tuna, & apparently I wasn't the only fan because they had run out of almost all of it which was a little sad but just means I'll have to come again to try some more lol. The sushi rolls were fantastic & rolled perfectly, my eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach because I wanted to order 1 of every roll but after my fourth roll I could feel myself getting full & sadly had to stop there. I did order some fried oreos for dessert which just hit different when they are done in tempura batter, I love it! The only thing food wise that I could critique is definitely the miso soup, while it looks really good, it was bland & just tasted like warm water & tofu. The restaurant itself is styled really well, I remember when this location used to be a Red Lobster but looking at it now there's no way you could tell. Even though the booths are pretty close together they were surprisingly quite, I could barely hear anyone that was around me, it felt like I was in a coffee shop instead of an actual restaurant.

I am picky about my sushi and sashimi, but we stumbled upon this place a few months ago and we have been very pleased with the quality of the fish. The all you can eat menu is great! A bit limited as far as the sushi goes but still lots to choose from. My only complaint is that they will make no substitutions or allow you to change the rolls in any way. You have to pay full price for the roll if that's what you want. If it was busy, I understand, but this is a rule no matter when you come. The food is fresh and flavorful. The building is beautiful. It used to be a red lobster from what I understand but they have remodeled and it is very oriental boho! Beautiful! The outdoor seating is also a vibe. We've always had very friendly staff and the food comes out so fast!!

My family and I always go to Sushi Masa for lunch and sometimes dinner. We usually get the AYCE and they offer such a great variety even for the picky eaters (especially their dinner menu). The sashimi tastes fresh and the flavors for the rolls and appetizers are unique and tasty. They're usually pretty fast about bringing out the food and come by to check in often. I especially love the variety of the menu; they have lots of hand rolls, sashimi, sushi, specialty rolls, grill items (noodles and tempura), and soups/salads. Definitely a great AYCE spot that beats out a lot of the other sushi AYCE places in Tampa.

Bit on the pricier side of endless sushi but the service was super fast and friendly and the options were delicious1 The shaggy dog sounded good but we didn't enjoy that one as much as we thought we would. Dragon roll and the hand rolls I would highly recommend! Fried Oreos are always a good sweet treat too!

Sushi nigiri - salmon, big eye tuna, white fish, white tuna, shrimp and eel.

About 3.5 stars for AYCE sushi in Tampa Bay Area. I am glad there is AYCE sushi near me. But the standard is just middle of the pack. One thing for sure they make it right here is the wait for sushi is very short after order. This sushi place is not cheap for the price. Yes they do have everything but very normal in the menu. Many imitation crab meat sushi roll. Good vegetarian selection. We like the salmon skin salad, dragonfly roll and big eye tuna nigiri. I also like the shrimp teriyaki a la cart. That very much I can recommend for the whole menu. Overall service is excellent. Food needs to be more creative. That includes the flavor.

EXCELLENT ayce sushi. I feel like most ayce sushi spots are not the greatest quality, and as a real sushi lover (no California rolls or cream cheese around here), I actually love this place. The small plates/apps and desserts were also great. The miso cod was a hit at our table. Definitely worth the price. I would go here all the time if it wasn't so far Service was also amazing! Our waitress was so funny and kind.

Sashimi appetizer for $26. Amazingly fresh and huge portions. We had this for lunch.
    Lori Z.

Very good fresh seafood. The ambience is cozy with lots of booths. Service was excellent at lunch time. Dinner time can get very busy and service is a little slower. Sashimi very fresh. Rolls good as well.

So nice to have this instead of an abandoned Red Lobster! The food was incredible!

I had the sushi and fried Oreos for dessert!!! I got togo and the person was very nice! I really like what they did inside! You would never know it used to be a red lobster!

This new location is great! The food is really good, and we went for the endless experience, it's great your whole table doesn't have to do it! The hibachi there tastes so good! The experience inside is such a great vibe and clean! The service is alright, I wish our server was quicker to ensuring we had everything we wanted for the endless experience, so it was frustrating at times with her. Otherwise we have already been back for the food!

This place is wonderful for all you can eat sushi! We had a fantastic meal. The sashimi was fresh. They had a great selection of cooked and raw seafood. Fresh sashimi. The service was excellent. Reasonable food prices and drink prices. And it was super cute inside- great ambiance. Highly recommend. One of the best local places for all-you-can-eat sushi!

I've been wanting to check and this place and it was worth the wait. The food was outstanding. Our server was very friendly knowledgeable and helpful. The interior is get and wonderfully designed. The hostess was nice and welcoming. I wish I could have taken more pictures but I ate the food to fast... this is a must try.

Ordered all the sashimis available (see pics). The scallop was not fresh but the other seafood was not bad. It's interesting that the menu says sashimi or sushi but I think it's mid-labeled and should say "sashimi or nigiri." The torched salmon nigiri was my favorite. Eel was also pretty good. The cold tastings were pretty tasty, esp the tuna kurakka. The teriyaki steak was too dry. I don't recommend the Hokkaido roll but I didn't try the other rolls since we mostly wanted to try the sashimi. The edamame didn't blow my mind and I'm not sure I would recommend ordering this. Yakisoba is supposed to be dry but it's was too saucy. I wish they told us about the weekly special menu. We find out after we paid that it was part of the buffet (we saw the table next to use order items from that menu.) We tried all the desserts because they seemed interesting. Turns out I don't really like fried desserts. The ice cream didn't have the authentic matcha or red bean flavor, was too sweet. On the weekends, they charge dinner prices for lunchtime. The table wasn't clean when the servers seated us. (There was a piece of hair underneath the soy sauce bottle.) Service was fast and place was family-friendly and date-friendly.

The two not so favorite dishes for me were the fried rice topped with fried chicken. While chicken was very tasty the rice was extremely basic. Could have used eggs or other ingredients to elevate this dish. Also the Volcano roll was extremely disappointing. Normally the volcano topping is cooked or (torched) and this topping was cold and very unappetizing. Would not recommend this roll. Overall this place is a hit or miss. We also love Hyde Park and it's just so nice to walk around that area before or after your meal. We started off with cocktails -- I went with the pomelo (nikka coffey gin, aperol, grapefruit, szechuan peppercorn) and she got the shinshun (sparkling sake, yuzu extract, & honey). We both really enjoyed our drinks. For appetizers, we shared the wagyu gyoza and I also got a couple pieces of nigiri -- Hokkaido Hotate (scallop) and the otoro (fatty tuna belly). Yum! We both ordered sushi rolls (maki) for our mains. I got the Ro signature roll which has spicy tuna, avocado, and hamachi. My sis got the classic tempura shrimp roll topped with crispy potato chips which was a nice twist. We definitely got our sushi fix! The end of every meal comes with a complimentary sweet surprise and I'm so glad we saved just enough room for dessert. They make their own ice cream in-house and have fun rotating flavor combinations. I can't remember the exact flavor we had, but it had a passion fruit ganache on top with some crumble topping and it was phenomenal! Some of the best ice cream I've ever had. That alone is worth going back for.

We checked out a bunch of different restaurants, but they were all booked up. So, we ended up booking Wagamama for our dinner on Sunday night. After finding roadside parking near the restaurant, we checked in at the register and were shown to our table. Our server greeted us and provided us with menus. Following a discussion among ourselves and with our server, we began our order with a lychee martini and a coconut drift for drinks. For appetizers, we selected the Bang Bang Cauliflower, which our server highlighted as a very popular option, along with chicken pot stickers. For our main courses, we ordered the chicken pad Thai, Karage Chicken Strips for our toddler and the chicken firecracker dishes. Our drinks arrived first: a Lychee Martini and a Coconut Drift. The Lychee Martini contained a significant amount of vodka, so much that my spouse could only manage two sips. The Coconut Drift was better, but it still had an excessive amount of sugar. We got our Bang Bang Cauliflower appetizer. However, upon tasting it, we found it wasn't cooked properly. It tasted like they simply coated the cauliflower with sauce without properly cooking it. We were disappointed to have to return it. Following that, our chicken pot stickers arrived. The chicken pot stickers were just okay, without anything particularly noteworthy about them. They weren't even properly cooked around the edges. Both appetizers we ordered turned out to be disappointing. Our dinner arrived and included Pad Thai and Chicken Firecracker. Both dishes were just alright; they could have been better. Compared to how other reviews described them, they didn't live up to the expectations set by those reviews. We couldn't get the Chicken Karage Strips we wanted for dinner. We ended up having to comp the whole thing because even though the restaurant wasn't that full (only about 70-75% empty), we had to wait a super long time for the food to be ready. Our visit to Wagamama was so disappointing that we may not return. We were unhappy with the food, the service, and the atmosphere.

I've seen other reviews mention pricing, but I honestly found it very reasonable...actually cheaper than most sushi spots or even lunch prices around Westchase, with noticeably better-quality fish. The wait was about 15 minutes on a Saturday evening, which felt totally reasonable. It was a gorgeous night at Armature Works, so we ordered, walked around, and came back once we got the text that our food was ready. Getting that same level of freshness and quality here at about half the price makes this place an easy win. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes.
