The last 3 times they've at least attempted to rectify their mistake... meaning we had to make a 2nd trip to pick-up whatever it was they forgot. So we took a break... sad because we always enjoy the food. Foolishly, we decided to try again... and again they messed up our order... this time they didn't put chicken on our pasta. It seems whoever took the order didn't write it down... wish I could say this was a big surprise! So we were fully willing to pay the difference and make the 2nd trip once again. But because it was near closing that was not made an option... just a sorry and goodbye. So now... after 6pm on Sunday, we are thinking of what 2nd meal we will have to purchase and pick up.... because this plain pasta is just not going to feed the 2 of us. We have so few options already in Montebello and we always prefer to support local small businesses.... but REALLY??? How do you consistently get it wrong??? I walked but it seems like they have parking in the back because people were entering through the back door. I ordered the Mombo plate which is a choice of sub and 2 sides. For sub I ordered THE 58 CLASSIC and as sides I had their Garlic Pesto Potato Salad and Purple Cabbage. Both good but very garlic centered, I love garlic so I don't mind but maybe next time I'll get something else to balance it better. Service was good. They greeted and answered any questions I had and offered their advice or recommendations when I asked for some.

Some of my favorites are the red berry croissant, the ham and cheese croissant, mushroom, bacon and thyme, spinach and feta, and of course the classic butter croissant. But my absolute favorite is the almond glazed croissant. So good! I also LOVE the maple pecan cookies. Everything I've tried has been fresh, flavorful, and such a treat. I was seriously having withdrawals when they were closed for two weeks, so I'm very glad they're back! Service is fast and servers are very kind and helpful. You really cannot go wrong with anything from here. The pastries are top-notch, the ingredients and craftsmanship are clearly high quality, and it has quickly become one of my favorite local bakeries. Definitely worth waking up a little earlier for!

My initial visit to Yum Yum Donuts was quite unpleasant. I entered the store with the intention of ordering some donuts and inquired about the prices. The older lady working there informed me that both the mini sprinkles donuts and the larger ones were priced at approximately $1.90 each. That seemed fine at first. However, when I sought further clarification from another employee, a younger lady, the situation took an unexpected turn. The older lady returned, and instead of calmly addressing my question, she chose to argue with me. It was quite surprising and not what I had expected. What made matters worse was her unsanitary behavior. During the argument, she touched her forehead while handling food and told me her eyes were up here, making it difficult for her to see what I was pointing at. This clearly violated basic hygiene standards and left me feeling uncomfortable. Despite my efforts to defuse the situation, the older lady continued to argue, making the whole experience incredibly awkward. The lack of surprise on the younger lady's part suggested that this may not have been an isolated incident, which was concerning. However, I decided to give Yum Yum Donuts another chance. I believe everyone can have a bad day, and my subsequent visits have been much more pleasant. It's possible that my initial experience was an exception, and I encountered more helpful staff during my subsequent visits. While my first encounter left me with a negative impression, I'm willing to acknowledge that things can change, and I've had better experiences since. I hope that the service continues to improve, as I have recently moved to the neighborhood and would like to have a positive local spot to enjoy some donuts. My advice to others would be to approach this establishment with an open mind, as your experience may vary. I hope for the best and wish the staff at Yum Yum Donuts success in providing better customer service moving forward. read more

This a a great little donut shop! Visited this shop just before the World Series of the Dodgers vs Astros and they had a very festive stash of Dodger donuts and they were very impressive. The owners Danny and Candi were working as well and they seem like a very hard working, business-owning couple. I don't understand all the negative reviews on here. I've been to this place more than a few times and I have been impressed every single time. If you pay attention to all the one and two star reviews, you'll find that most of the reviewers have trouble spelling and sentence structure. If the haters speak like they write, they probably mumbled their order and was upset that nobody understood them when taking their order. I love the breakfast sandwiches here bc they're huge! They use lots of egg and this shop also has freshly squeezed fruit drinks in the morning. My #1 donut shop in Los Angeles! read more

Wonderful service with employees and owner 9 out of 10 going back a +10 the breakfast sandwich was made with soft warm fresh bagels n melted cheese and egg that were great!! Delicious not to mention fresh brewed coffee with a clean environment prices are fair better than any donut shop around by far.
