Service was so welcoming. If you want good donuts. This is the place to come. No aftertaste of oil. So good. My favorite is the pink donut.

Went to Vida Pura and got their breakfast burrito. It's been on my bucket list for a while, and…read moreneedless to say, it was definitely worth it. I'm glad I finally got around to trying it. I loved the avocado and hash brown combination, and the salsa that came with it paired really well, a little kick with it. The portion size was great and definitely filled me up. The service was fast, but seating is pretty limited since it's mainly outdoors. Parking can be a little rough because it's street parking only, and it was pretty full when I came on a Saturday morning. I would definitely come back. I also saw that they make coffee and matcha drinks, and they all looked really good, so I'd definitely come back to try that next time!

Vida Pura is a Latina-owned plant based cafe located in the heart of East LA. It was formerly a…read morevegan food truck and eventually became the current brick-and-mortar cafe. [Parking]: Free small public parking lot directly across from the shop. [Amenities]: This is a really small coffee shop with no indoor tables and only two small outdoor tables. No restroom is available. [Menu]: Yelp's top highlighted items are the Breakfast Burrito, Teddy Bear (double espresso, agave, housemade vanilla cold foam, Teddy Grahams), and Banana Nut. All drinks are made with oat milk. Please note that the kitchen closes at 1 PM on Monday - Tuesday and 2 PM on Wednesday- Sunday even though the cafe remains open for another 1 - 2 hours. Come early for anyone wanting to try kitchen items like breakfast burrito or breakfast sandwich. *** Banana nut (double espresso, house made vanilla cold foam, house made banana syrup - medium $7.50): It came with two banana chips. The cold foam was quite underrated and I could taste a hint of banana flavor. The drink wasn't as sweet as I had expected - I liked it. Breakfast burrito (Refried beans, soyrizo, tofu scramble, crispy hashbrowns and sliced avocado wrapped in a flour tortilla - $13.50): Portion wasn't huge, but it also wasn't small enough to finish in one sitting. It had one of the softest texture for breakfast burritos. The soyrizo was very flavorful. It also came with a side of salsa - quite spicy but flavorful at the same time. *** I probably still prefer meat-based breakfast burritos, but their soyrizo breakfast burrito is quite good and the coffee drink is excellent (4.5-star for both items). I would definitely recommend this small coffee shop for a quick grab-and-go.

Great customer service, great prices, and great food! The guy working the front on 2/15/26 around…read more1:30pm was friendly, interpersonal, and knowledgeable. My family and I are in Montebello every weekend & crave tacos. But most street taco stands don't open till 3pm. We were drawn in by their instagram posts & how they open at 11am. They have $1 tacos EVERY DAY (carne asada is the only meat that is $2, but that's still a great deal). Sometimes when I go to other taco spots their meat is chewy/fatty. But this spot did not have the chewy meat. It was well done! We did the 8 tacos + 1 drink for $10. We ordered all meats except chorizo and can say they were all delicious - chicken was my personal favorite. Can't wait to come back

We had dinner there yesterday. As soon as we walked in, we should've just turned back right around…read more It was a mess. It was dirty and we spent time swatting flies. We wanted to give the food a try because of the great reviews we read online. Those must be from friends and family because not only was it not good, but it was super expensive. I had a chile relleno burrito with Carne asada for $17. Most of it was rice and although I have no complaints about the Chile relleno, the meat was inedible. Most of it was fat. My husband had a chile relleno plate for $17. The chele relleno again was OK but the rice and beans were not good at all. My son had the burrito with chicken. Yes the burritos are huge but you're basically paying for rice and beans with a little bit of chicken for $17. The agua frescas were $7 each. They were OK but for seven dollars definitely overpriced. We wanted so much to like this place for the reviews, but do yourself a favor and don't spend your time or money.

Ube French Toast -- Deep-fried toast stuffed with a house-made ube filling, topped with coconut flakes, blueberries, maple syrup, and ube condensed milk. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and not overly sweet. Bacon Jam Burger -- Angus beef, house-made bacon jam, arugula, cheddar, a sunny-side-up egg, and a drizzle of maple syrup. The sweet and savory combination was such a surprise--in the best way! Nashville Hot Chicken Benedict -- Crispy Nashville hot chicken with poached eggs, hollandaise, Cajun mayo, pickled cucumber, and coleslaw on an English muffin. So flavorful with just the right amount of heat. We also had to try two of their signature drinks! The famous Potted Plant Coffee was such a fun experience! A creamy latte topped with Oreo "dirt" and served with a tiny sprout, making it look just like a real potted plant. It tasted just as good as it looked! Egg Coffee was another first for me! It's made by whipping egg yolks with sugar until they're light and frothy before pouring coffee over the mixture, creating a rich, smooth, custard-like coffee that's unlike anything I've had before. A huge thank you to Shawn for being so welcoming! He gave us amazing recommendations, was incredibly kind, and made our first visit even more enjoyable. Great food is one thing, but great hospitality is what keeps people coming back. As Popping Yolk says... "Breakfast is a meal. Brunch is a culture." After eating here...I totally get it.
