I went the other day to meet up with a buddy and I was nervous to go in alone, but I did and it was very peaceful. Maid Nagi was on duty and she was both very professional and very polite. I ordered the Maid Lele Combo, the fish and chips were very good. The fried fish felt juicy kn the inside and crunchy on the outside. The chips/fries were good, right amount of soft and crunch. The Arnold Palmer Lemonade was a first time ever and it was nice and refreshing. But if you're a fan of sweets. The star of the show is the cheesecake. It has to be one of the best cheesecakes I have ever had. Since the combo was a Maid Special, Maid Nagi turned me into a cat (it was really fun and cute) and we cast a blessing to the food as well. You also get a cheki with the maid on duty, this time being Maid Nagi of course. Overall the atmosphere of the café was peaceful and fun. I recently stopped by Arcane Maid Cafe, and I'm giving it a well-deserved 5 stars! It's a genuinely fun, unique spot that brings a great slice of Akihabara cafe culture right to the area. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, and everyone working there was so nice. We were served by a wonderful Caucasian maid, and we also noticed a cute Korean maid taking care of some other tables--the whole staff was super friendly and really added to the charming, positive vibe of the cafe. One thing that really stood out to me was their retail section. They have a surprisingly solid selection of Japanese trading card games like Weiss Schwarz, Hololive, and Pokémon, alongside some manga. It's an awesome touch if you're a fan of the hobby or just want something interesting to browse while waiting for your order. As for the food, I had to try the classic maid cafe staple: the omurice. I ordered the curry omurice, complete with the signature cute ketchup art drawn right on the egg. It was hearty, flavorful, and definitely hit the spot. We also tried a couple of their specialty iced espresso drinks, including the tiramisu latte. They were topped generously with whipped cream and tasty crumbles. Came in on a late Saturday afternoon and there was one other table seated. The waitress dressed in a maid outfit handed us menus and proceeded to talk with the other table at length. I had to ring the bell for her to acknowledge us again to take our order. We ordered the omurice and pork katsu. The omurice was a poor impression of one and rather just a hard omelette with rice inside paired with curry. The pork katsu was crispy and juicy. I came here for a special event for a doll club, and we packed the place. The staff was super friendly and enthusiastic and the atmosphere was fun and cute! The special event was a tea party so we got little sandwiches and pastries as well as a drink. My friend and I opted for a fancy lemonade instead of tea, and I loved everything. Arcadia is a little far for me to drive, so I might not come here very often, but it's cool that they'll do special events like this. Because this was a special event the maids didn't do special stuff with our food, and there weren't any maid activities, but that didn't detract from my enjoyment. This was such a cute place to visit. As soon as you step in, you're already surrounded with cute decor, a stage in the back of the store, and to the right you have shelves of merch that you can buy. If you're looking for one of those idol pen lights, I highly recommend buying it here. It's $20 for one, and $36 for two, which is actually very affordable if you compare it to the ones you usually see at Japanese concerts (Last one I saw was $40 for one). Menu wise, very maid cafe, had cute pictures, easy to read and visualize. But the math didn't really math for me. Unless you're going for the Akihabara combo, the other two combos are more expensive than if you order separately. I only wanted the kawaii sunrise fruit tea and a curry with rice plus the maid polaroid, so it actually added up to around $25 for me, the combo is $28. Small hiccup, but not a big deal as I was able to math it out in my head before ordering. Food review time. The Otaku Okonomi fries were amazing, highly recommend. And despite being a starter, it's actually very filling and goes well with any of the drinks. The curry I ordered was slightly disappointing. It's just curry and rice, there's nothing in the curry though. If I'm not mistaken, this may be able to be considered vegetarian since I don't think it had a single piece of meat in it. So it wasn't enough to satisfy my hunger. Not even carrots or potatoes in it. Just the curry sauce. We also order a parfait. Parfait exceeded my expectations. There was so many textures in there, it was easy to get my cravings for crunchy, chewy, sweet, etc, every thing was covered. The fries and the parfait were my favorite of the meal. Drinks were also winners. Onto the cute polaroid, it's only $5 and if you want a cute souvenir, it's a great choice. Very cute, you get to stand on the stage and take a cute picture with your maid and their props. I appreciate that they allow us to take group photos for the polaroid, but keep in mind if everyone in the group wants a picture, it's $5 per picture printing. Still really worth it. I'm of the impression event eateries are front-loaded and the food takes a back seat, but not so much here. Basically, the meals matched the experience! Came here for the hololive popup cafe. The interior was very chic, Dl and the themed decorations were on point, and all the workers were very friendly and helpful. I got the blacksmith tea and the karaage set. The tea was very tasty, with a flavor somewhat reminiscent of gushers. Not what I was expecting, but it was surprisingly pleasant. The karaage was a little greasy and the batter had a squishier texture than what I'm used to, but the chicken itself was plump and juicy, and the flavor wasn't bad. This is arguably the better maid cafe, in terms of tasty food, that I've tried in Arcadia. The omurice was tasty and flavorful, it hardly needed the curry even though it adds more depth. The pork katsu was deliciously crispy and also worked harmoniously with the curry. The affogato was very fun, but I needed to add a shot of espresso because they're so generous with the ice cream. The drinks were yummy, but I do think the neko parfait needs something crunchy for added texture. The interior is super cute & I wish I got more pics against the wall with the cat windows, but I was seated on the other side. Service was sweet and nice, but more on the quiet side and not as cute as the other cafe in Arcadia. A super unique and fun experience! A must-try if you are in the Arcadia area and are a fan of anime. I found this cafe on Yelp and decided to check it out as part of a spontaneous mini road trip to the 626 area with my bf. Admittedly, I'm not super into anime, and I didn't know much about this cafe other than the anime theme and cute food. My bf, however, is an otaku. As soon as we parked, he recognized Steins;Gate - his favorite anime of all time. Coincidentally, Arcane was doing a collaboration with Steins;Gate at the time of our visit. It was perfect! I loved the interior decor and Japanese style service. When we were ready to order, we would ring a bell instead of needing to flag down a waitress (not that it's needed, for such a small cafe). I ordered the Strawberry Lemonade, which was very refreshing. I especially loved the fresh strawberry pieces on the bottom. My boyfriend and I shared the Curry Omurice and the Neko Parfait dessert. Both were cutely decorated and quite solid. We completed the Steins;Gate themed "missions" and left the cafe with some stickers and a poster. Overall, great experience! I didn't get to experience a maid cafe in Japan, and when I heard about this place it was perfect to check it out! I was super excited when I saw a maid cafe in America! My expectations weren't that high, after being in Japan but it was surprisingly so cute inside and our server was so kind. We got the omurice, matcha and cherry blossom boba, and a Sunday. The omurice was pretty yummy. We were able to customize the design that our server drew on our food which was really fun. The drinks were a bit artificial tasting and sweet, but the ice cream was good. The interior design was so unique too. Black and white paint to make you feel like you're in a 2D space. We were a little sad because we came in a weekday and didn't know that they only do performances on weekends. The server seemed over booked too. I came into the cafe out of curiosity. I saw the menu from outside and was interested in the curry. The place nice and clean. Lots of displays of anime characters of maids. Actually, a cute atmosphere. The waitress, dressed in maid attire, was really nice. I saw that the cafe served affogato which I got along with my Chicken Curry. I must say, both were excellent, better than I expected. I definitely will be back as I loved the affogato. The parking lot was a bit small - luckily our friend group was able to find parking today. Upon walking in, there were all these cute decorations on the walls and merch displayed on the shelves! I appreciated that they committed to the theming; I couldn't stop myself from looking around and admiring the decorations! Very cute and decorative place. My sister actually recommended I try this maid cafe given I've never been to one and wanted to experience it at least once and so glad there is one in my local community (yay). It is mentioned to me that it is not the same experience as the ones in Japan, so I am not expecting the same experience. Entering the place after so many years is very strange because it changed sooo much. Before, the place was connected to the Quickly Cafe (there is a way to go into the place from the inside) and was more of an extra extension for people to eat, hangout, and play games. Inside is super cartoonish, similar to the interior of a doll house (not colorful but very cool). There is a glass casing full of trinkets, collectibles, and other cute decorations (some in sale and some as display). The staff are very sweet and welcoming, they will ring a bell for when you enter and then seat you at an available table. Also, if you need them, you have a bell to use for yourself at the table. The menu options are also very cute, we only ordered drinks this time so not sure how the food is. I'd say the prices are amazing compared to other themed cafes. You can get combo sets that offer collectible items such as stickers or a show (upon availability). We ordered a fruity boba drink (Kawaii sunrise boba tea) and a mocha waifu latte. The drink names are so funny, we were confused where fuwa fuwa was referencing haha. The drinks look exactly as the photo, which is a big plus. It tastes good as well but the highlight of this was the games they offer and we got to play while we enjoyed our drinks! We sat at a window table booth, it was pretty hot, but not sure if it's just the way the cafe has always been (I remembered it was always hot in quickly as well). Other than that, I had a great time and since it was only a soft opening, I am going the place will stay open and I can get to experience the food next time! Feels like I gotta do this spiel each time now, but I've been to maid cafes at local anicons since the days of Animaid and the now closed maid cafes in CA like Royal/T and the short-lived Meido Kissaten in the 626. I've also been to the more recent Dreamland Maid Café and of course, Asayoru Maid Café, so I can at the very least say I have some inkling to what a maid café is, at least at a domestic level. I heard about Arcane Maid Café at the local anime cons in SoCal and know that they booth and have their café at these events, as well attend events like the OC Japan Fair. Seeing that they were going to open a physical location, saw this on the ALA guidebook, I had to stop by, especially since they're in SGV. I believe we came during their soft opening time period since there was only the maid working and the gentleman in the back. With that in mind, we walked in and there was no one there to greet us. I believe we just came at an awkward time since the only maid was busy at the moment, so there was no standard, "Welcome Home!" greeting that is quintessential to the maid café experience. It wasn't until we called out that the gentleman working in the back came to greet us. The interior décor is a 2D café that's black and white and gives you the illusion of being in a flat 2D environment, similar to how Matte Black coffee did their café, but not as mind boggling and much cuter. I loved the little cats that were in their scenery art on the wall. I'm wondering if in the future the 2D aspect plays in a bit more with their theme or if they're going to incorporate more cats or the color purple into the café. It is cute, but a tad awkward and sterile. As part of their lore since they are a cat maid café, you must also don cat ears so you can understand their cat language. So each time our maid said, "Nyan!" we had to swap our cat ears like Hot Potato. I have never done anything like this before, so it was quite novel and it's neat that we got to keep the cat ears after. Thought we had to return them and the maid was quite nice in flagging us down after we left to get our ears to us. Thank you! We got the 2 Combos and this comes with a drink, an entrée, and a Polaroid picture with a maid. We got the: 1) Taiga Milky Tea: -This is a brown sugar milk tea with boba. -There's also whipped cream with some caramel sauce on top too. -Sweet dessert boba milk tea drink. Not bad. 2) Kawaii Sunrise Fruity Tea: -This is a fruit tea drink with melon flavor and a real berry puree and boba. They also had dragon fruit in it which was a nice touch. -It is quite sweet though and just a tad artificial tasting. Looking back, we really should have adjusted the sweetness. This was actually my friend's drink but we had to swap because he couldn't stand it. 3) Pork Katsu Curry: -Generous serving of pork katsu on top of a bed of rice and curry. They do not skimp out on the portions here. -The katsu was a bit oilier than what I would have preferred, but it also had very crispy breading on the outside and moist meat on the inside, so it was somewhat balanced because of this. -Curry had some slight spice to it (not spicy) and there's also boiled veggies and takuan pickles too. 4) Curry Omurice: -Omelet chicken fried rice with curry. Similar to the pork katsu curry, there is some spice to the curry, but it's not spicy. It also has boiled veggies and takuan pickles. -Also a very generous portion. The rice wasn't dry and had a good mix of protein and veggies intermixed inside. -This one comes with ketchup deco and we got a cute cat on ours. Each of the meals came with a cute cat paw dessert. It's a sponge cake. A bit dried and definitely pre-packaged but it went with the theming for sure and was a nice surprise for our meal. We might have come at an awkward time during their soft opening or maybe the vibes were just off that day since our maid seemed a bit nervous/apprehensive in engaging with us. Don't get me wrong, she was super nice, but there were times when both of us wanted to get up and help her too. We got to play Jenga with Maid Nagi to win some cute stickers and she did a great job making our omurice cute. During the iconic, "Moe Moe Kyun!" spell, the gentleman who helped us out earlier contributed to the magic and was very into it and encouraging. If they ever incorporate butlers into the café, I'm sure he'd do a great job with his energy. For the cheki pic, it was taken with a staff phone and then printed, so you do have an option to take a look over your picture if you need to retake it. Each cheki is also decorated and comes with a custom insert card with a handwritten message from the maid. Nice touch! Overall, I believe that it might have been an awkward time in their soft opening and that after a grand opening event and some growing pains, things will be more established. I've known about Arcane Maid Cafe's opening for a while due to seeing various updates on Instagram. I stopped by a month prior, saw that it was packed, so I decided to come another day. I came here with my wife and a friend for lunch just as it was opening. Despite the cafe opening at 11 AM, we weren't let in until 11:10 AM. The service was actually quite slow, and it took a while for the staff to ask us for our orders. We were told this would be more a cafe with maids than a true maid cafe experience, although the options for performance and for photos with the maids were available. The inside itself is a 2D cafe which is quite cute. Cafe is quite clean. My wife and I got an afternoon tea for 2 and for the tea it was darjeeling. The tea was quite good and went well with the sweets. I was surprised that for the tea time itself, we got a katsu sandwich. It was quite good. Meat was slightly tough but overall I loved it. There was also a cheesecake, a red velvet cake, and various pastries. Fairly solid. We got a photo with the lead maid, she was very nice. Me literally thinks not. This was my first ever maid cafe experience and it was disappointing, to say the least. Arcane boasts a 2D interior design, which seems interesting in concept but in actuality is nothing special. My initial assumption is for the maids to be super bubbly, energetic, and welcoming. Maybe it's the 2D concept, but the lady working was also 2D in personality. She's probably one of the coldest, most emotionless maids to exist. My friend and I both ordered the pork katsu curry. I thought the curry was especially bad - weird in goopy texture and lacking in flavor/depth (which is surprising because it's so hard to get Japanese curry wrong). There were some broccoli/cauliflower that tasted like it was previously frozen. My plate was a mix of lukewarm and cold. The katsu was tasty compared to how poorly executed the curry was, but the pork was pretty overcooked and the stringy-ness kept getting stuck in my teeth. Prices are ok. Food takes a long time. I've headed about this place for a while so I'm glad I finally got to go. It's pretty quiet inside aside from the light Japanese music playing in the background. The food came out pretty quickly and the severs are dressed in their Maid uniform. She drew a cute cat on my Omurice and also asked us if we wanted to bless our meal together which was very cute. If you want the more immersive Maid experience they have dedicated packages on the menu, but I think just being there and getting a little food blessing was good enough for me. Cool little maid cafe in Arcadia with a good selection of food to choose from. We ordered the Takoyaki and the Pork Katsu Curry which was very fulfilling for 2 people. My only complaint with the food is the amount of sauce that is given. Some may like it but for me it made the pork a bit too soggy. The inside has a decent amount of seating along a platform for the maids to perform. Since it was a weekday, there was only one maid at the time which was also our server. She was very nice and blessed our food as well. If it's anybody's first time I would definitely recommend this experience at this maid cafe! read more

Peculiar Maid Cafe that seems to sell TCG and some idol goods. Service was prompt and the maid working that day graciously guided my friends and I through the Maid Cafe rituals. What really blew me away was the quality of the food! Takoyaki was slightly crispy and had the just the right amount of sauce and toppings.
