The cheese katsu was good and different texture The chicken curry rice - the chicken itself was dry the curry sauce was like warm instead of being being the preferred hot but had good flavor to it. Not enough curry sauce and extra is another $6 on top of the $20 Came With a bunch of side dishes I didn't really want, the salad was good but didn't want the soup.

I came across a katsu place in Dublin that's a Korean restaurant rather than a Japanese restaurant, which I found really interesting, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered their donkatsu, which was a deep fried pork cutlet, served with Korean style chewy noodles. First of all, I really loved the consistency of the chewy noodles. They were made with wheat flour and starch, which gave them a really nice chewiness that I enjoyed. Unfortunately, I didn't care much for the sauce. It was not bad - it was sweet, spicy, and slightly tangy, but it just isn't my favorite flavor profile. I also wasn't really sure that the noodles paired that well with the cutlet. I felt like the noodles overwhelmed the cutlet, and the cutlet itself tasted pretty bland. Someone else at my table ordered the cutlet with rice and curry sauce, and I actually thought that tasted better, so I'd probably get that instead next time. The restaurant was pretty small and very busy on the weekend. I completely understand that they were busy, but we basically didn't get any service whatsoever. We had a kid with us, and nobody came by to offer us a highchair. And then, during our entire meal, nobody came by to offer to refill our water either. The service was extremely lacking, and I think that really affected my overall experience. I just wish they had paid a little more attention to the quality of service they were providing.

I had lunch w/ some rellies at nearby Yumee, a Korean katsu place in Dublin off the 580. You order from a screen at your table, and the food is brought to you: Most entrees are ~ $21. I ordered the giant pork katsu curry. It comes w/ rice, salad, soup, radish and kimchee. The pork cutlet was massive. I was stuffed afterwards. On the other hand, the flavor of the curry was just ok. I have had this dish (donkatsu) in LA K Town, and the place I went to had a better seasoned curry. Regarding the ambiance, YK is one of several casual eateries in this strip mall. Its small inside but comfortable. The servers are friendly enough and efficient. I'd return if I were in the area. However, I would not go out of my way to come here. The food is pretty good, and it was conveniently located.

I was craving katsu and decided to give this place a try. I ordered the spicy pork katsu, which came with miso soup, salad, pickles, kimchi, and sauce. The katsu was crispy, juicy, and not overcooked. Everything tasted good. And the sides complemented the meal well.

This place has been on my list for a while, and I'm glad I checked it out! I came here for a quick dinner on a weeknight, and was shocked to see it fully packed. It is a relatively smaller restaurant with about 8 tables or so. Our server was incredibly nice and attentive, and checking in periodically to make sure our waters are filled and we're enjoying the food. I like how the katsu includes a variety of sauces/pairings to enhance the flavor! The curry was delicious and I really enjoyed the pork tonkatsu (part of the assorted plate). I'd come back here to try more items on their menu. Parking is easy! It's located in a shopping plaza so plenty of parking spaces in an open lot.

First time trying this place and chose it since we were craving something different than the normal places we eat. When I was in Japan, we went to restaurants that specializes in katsu mainly. We ordered on our table with the self help monitor- Pork Katsu and chicken katsu with curry. Food was nicely presented with daikon, Kim chee and miso soup and a cabbage salad. Overall, we enjoyed our meals and my wife seemed to like my pork a bit more than her chicken . Still 5 stars for both. Service- the gentleman manager with the #1 dad hat was very nice and checked on us. Easy and relaxing place to eat. We can on a Saturday at 2 pm and the place was close to full and we got lucky we got a table. Max capacity says 38 people. Would definitely come again when craving for katsu!

Found this place when looking for a place to eat after seeing a nearby movie. It's a smaller restaurant that was pretty busy for a weeknight dinner. Ordering is done through a tablet and I went with a chicken katsu curry udon. The flavors of the chicken and udon were pretty solid and the curry wasn't really spicy, but it had some hints of heat. It comes with some side dishes but I only really liked the miso soup.

Yumee Katsu absolutely delivered. Everything we ordered was solid, satisfying, and genuinely delicious. The standout for me was the katsu curry. The katsu was perfectly crispy on the outside while staying tender inside, and the curry was rich, flavorful, and completely addictive. I kept going back for another bite even when I was already getting full. The udon noodle soup was comforting and well-balanced, while the cold soba noodles were refreshing and nicely textured. I also loved the chewy spicy cold noodles--they had a great bite and just the right amount of spice, making them surprisingly memorable. Portions here are incredibly generous. Even after eating until I was stuffed, my plate still looked full. Definitely great value for the amount of food you get. The meal also comes with kimchi and yellow radish sides, which were the perfect complement. Their freshness and acidity helped cut through the richness of the fried dishes and tied everything together nicely. Overall, a delicious meal with generous portions and plenty of variety. I'd happily come back to try more of the menu. Highly recommend if you're craving quality katsu and comforting noodle dishes.

We came in incredibly hungry after driving for an hour to watch an MMA fight. Food was quick and delicious. We ordered the katsu curry rice plate, katsu cheese and a mini udon. Enough for two to share as their portion size is generous. For me, the best part of the experience was the service. The guy helping us showed genuine kindness that sometimes feels hard to come by. Stumbled on this place when me and my fam were looking for a place to have a late lunch after shopping at the outlets. I love me a good curry katsu plate, and appreciated how they also offer noodles with their katsu, as my bf prefers that instead of rice. We were shocked to notice the spicy noodles come out cold (we absolutely love cold noodles) since not many places offer that. We were so impressed at how tasty literally everything we ordered was. The staff were also so nice and welcoming, and inside was pretty spacious with many filled tables. This will definitely be our new go-to spot to come by after a shopping day at the outlets!

We came here around 7pm on a Saturday and ended up ordering our food to go because there was a bit of a wait. You can add your name to the waitlist on the tablet but it doesn't give you an estimate for wait time. When we asked, staff told us it might be 30 mins or longer. Since there were 5 parties ahead of us and the seating is pretty limited we opted to just order to go. It took them about 20 minutes to have our order ready and we drove about 30 minutes home. Typically, I'd avoid doing takeout for anything fried like katsu but we didn't feel like waiting too long to be seated. Unfortunately, the miso soup that came with our meals spilled out so we only tried a sip of what was still in the container. I did pop the katsu into the air fryer for 5 minutes and microwave the udon. I was actually very surprised with how good and fresh it still tasted! The curry had great flavor and just a tiny bit of spice. Noodles themselves were cooked well too. We'd come back again for sure but just plan to come a bit earlier in case of a wait. read more

New place that took over former Ramen 101 Dublin location. There are lots of take out orders and dine in patrons. The service is efficient- easy to order on own at the table-side kiosk. Katsu's were all well executed. Crispy on the outside and tender protein on the inside. The spicy noodles and soba noddles had a good chew (QQ). Went there twice. Last Saturday and yesterday again. Very good food and good value. My wife had chicken and it was very thick but very moist and tasty. I had pork katsu both times. One with curry/rice and one with spicy chewy noodles. The curry was very good. The spicy noodles were surprisingly good as I did not know it would serve cold which I typically don't like cold noodles. But this spicy cold noodles changed my mind. But the most important thing is the service. I was amazed when I went there yesterday that the person who served us on last Saturday (the place was packed at 1:30 pm) still able to remember us (I did not think we stood out at all) and said something like "welcome back". It is little things like this that really make customers feel they are appreciated and wanted to come back again. The meal was so satisfying, and my wife was very happy, especially they gave her an ice cream on the house :-) read more

Stopped by here the other day for dinner. There aren't too many katsu places in the area so was happy to try it out. You order on tablets but the menu was a little bit confusing. In addition to salad, sauce and soup, the Yumee Katsu also comes with rice and side dishes but the menu doesn't specify that. They were busy but the food came out relatively quickly. The katsu was definitely the crispiest katsu I've ever had in the east bay. It reminded me when I would have katsu in Japan. I was pretty disappointed by how much sauce they provide for the katsu. There definitely isn't enough if you like eating each piece of katsu with sauce. The salad was also pretty bland. It would be a lot better if they put a dressing on the salad. That being said, the food was pretty good and I'll probably stop by again. read more

OMG this food was amazing I got the curry udon with chicken katsu the side dishes are delicious the soup taste so good and you can tell it's quality. THE UDON perfect texture they're nice and thick and chewy and the curry was just phenomenal!! There was absolutely no service. Instead of getting greeted we just got told to sit down and got asked how we are once very quickly. The place was dirty, not cleaned but nice. We were about to head out when the server starts motioning us to stop and comes back with a new check claiming "your payment was declined". We did end up checking and confirming that it was reversed but it turns out that they had worked furiously to reprint a new check with a 18% autograt and brought it back to us claiming "your payment was declined". Overall, we weren't as bummed about paying the 18% gratuity as we were on how it was conveyed to us. Anyways, getting to the food: Overall the rolls were pretty good(4/5). I was not a huge fan of the chicken karaage(2/5)and the vegetable tempura was pretty oily(3/5). The soft shell crab roll comes in a non traditional fashion of rolls(3/5). Bearing all of this in mind, I would give the food a 3/5.
