This is my second time here and I keep coming back to the spam musubi and teriyaki chicken which are soo good. My boyfriend ordered the Aloha mix and I will say the Kalbi short rib was more fatty than I like it to be otherwise tasting the rest of the items it was good. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying more items off their menu.

This place was SO YUMMY!! I was craving a rice plate and this did not disappoint, not one bit. I literally wanted short ribs and bbq beef but couldn't decide-- good thing they had both as an option in one plate (HF6)! The meat was cooked to PERFECTION. Short ribs right off the bone, beef real soft and nice. Also ordered spam musubi, 1 order comes with 2 I believe, which was perfect for me and my partner. He ordered the loco moco, really good too. Very nice spot for something quick to pick up when you're on the move. Can't wait to come back bc I want to try the garlic shrimp + more

We came to eat here, however is probably better to order to go. The food was delicious, the restaurant seemed to be under construction or everything broken :/ the tables weren't clean but not too dirty, they have no bathrooms!!!! The service wasn't bad but it wasn't great :/

Supposed to be a Loco Moco but got this instead.

Ordered a Loco Moco from DoorDash. In what world is spam a suitable substitute for hamburger patties in a Loco Moco??? Just cancel the order at that point if you don't have all the ingredients. I would've eaten somewhere else but still try this place eventually but now I'm so disappointed and mad that I don't ever want to try this place again. So yeah... note to staff, just cancel the order next time.

Ordered to go for an early Saturday night dinner. Order was ready quite quickly. Pickup was quick and easy. They were relatively friendly for how quick it was. The food was delicious and well worth the value. Would come again.

OMG , could you tell me what is this , is that Fly eggs in my food , i ate half of it , luckily i have not finishing all of them in lunch time , that's disgusting Totally unacceptable and extremely unsanitary. I threw it away immediately. Please be cautious and inspect before eating. Very disappointed

This location used to be JJ Hawaiian BBQ - which was my go to Hawaiian BBQ spot in the area. We noticed today that it has a new name, "Yummy". The decor inside is similar. What changed is the staff and the menu - it's now a more colorful electronic menu. This made me worried about the quality of food from JJ that I was used to. There's definitely less qty in the BBQ Mix The marinate in the BBQ mix is not the same. They're now using different patties for the Loco Moco - which I'm not a fan of. However, I appreciate small business so I will give them a couple more tries. PS: I'm from Hawaii so maybe it's unfair for me to be so critical of the quality

Horrible service, no friendly, tables dirty, water by the garbage, horrible exprience.Food ok. O stars

All good except for the spam musubis. They have way too much rice and they refuse to make them normal size with less rice.

My 10oz top sirloin was listed in the menu as $24.95, but was $25.95 on my receipt. They also added a $4 "beef surcharge" on top of that. They do have a sign posted when you come in that there will be a surcharge, but they don't say how much on that sign or the menu. So, my mediocre steak was $30. I should've just gotten a 12oz steak from the grocery store that's $30/lb and gotten two extra ounces. Mozzarella sticks were just store-bought frozen ones - nothing to write home about. Mac N Cheese was bad, and was an up-charge side for my steak that comes with a side for another $3. Texas toast was just griddled burger bun. My salad came with beets tho, so that was nice, I guess? Ambiance was essentially a greasy spoon vibe with open kitchen, was likely an American diner before. One or two TVs with sports by the bar seating. I've been trying spots around here since moving to the area, and I'll mark this one off as a "no thank you." I wish I would've gotten the ribs to give them a try, but the special steak lured me in and was a swing and a miss. I can eat a lot better for $45 elsewhere.

The menu has so many good sounding choices so it was hard to decide what to try for my first visit. I settled on the smothered pork chops meal and my friend decided to go with a conservative choice of a fried chicken meal. We placed our order and sat at one of the outside tables. One of the workers came out and gave us a Hot Link slider with french fries sample. The Hot Link slider was delicious and the fries were prepared the way excellent fries are made. The fries tasted like the ones that you quick fry, remove and then fry again. They were tender, great seasoning and a nice fried crunch. We both loved the sample more than our lunches The chicken came with two pieces of fried chicken, corn on the cob and my friend chose mac n cheese as his side dish and a corn bread muffin. He loved the Mac n cheese and the muffin which was very moist and tasted great. He thought the chicken was good, not real juicy or flavored but a good fried chicken. My smothered pork chops plate was huge, came with 2 good sized fried pork chops, corn on the cob and I chose potato salad and a roll. The pork chops were relatively tender, the gravy was a little more liquidity than what I normally eat, potato salad was a very good homemade side dish and the gravy over the rice was tasty. I would have preferred a more thicker traditional homemade brown gravy. I couldn't finish my order for lunch so I ended up getting two meals out of my lunch. We plan to go back to have the hot link and french fries. The menu has a wide variety so we'll have go back a couple of times to try some of the other dishes. Service is excellent and you get generous portions. Visit Frickin Fried for good home style comfort food.

The parking spots near this restaurant are usually half empty and there's typically at least one suspicious car sitting there with some odd-looking activity going on. Not the fault of "Tokyo Ramen & BBQ". I walked in, even though from the outside it looked closed. A woman followed me in (she seemed possibly homeless. Not judging, just painting a picture). When I walked in, none of the tables had ANYTHING on them. And it looked kind of like they were out of business. I saw no employees. I waited. Then, I saw a man appear from behind the counter (he had been bent over doing something and I didn't see him at first). I wanted to try the food, because the reviews seemed pretty good, but I was sensing that I might regret it if I got locked in to this situation... The lady asked, "Are you open?" And the man said, "Yes". I walked straight out and went to a different ramen place for lunch. So, I can't speak to the food quality. But the ambiance was dismal. And, though it's not their fault, the whole scenario of that side shopping center made me think that they won't be around long. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see myself going back...

I think if they had used fresh (raw) garlic, the whole dish could've been much more elevated. But, with that said, I thought that the flavor was just okay. The broth could've been creamier, in my opinion. But the portion was pretty good and generous. I also chose pork belly as my choice of protein, and I thought the pork belly slices (chashu) was pretty good. Price was pretty standard for nowadays. The ambience of the restaurant was not the best. Don't get me wrong, the restaurant was nice and clean, but there was a lot of restaurant-unrelated items that they attempted to hide but they ended up being not quite well hidden, so they were kind of distracting. But the service was nice.

Oxtail plate - really tasty, heavy on the sides but a little light on the meat. Another piece would've done it for me. I got extra oxtail gravy which was really good to add on to the rice and peas. Jerk ribs - SO DAMN GOOD!!! Great flavor, fall off the bone, I could easily eat more of that. Don't skip it! Pepper shrimp - eh, it was ok I think. My daughter wanted that so I only had one piece of shrimp mixed with some other things on my own plate. I do think there was only maybe 5-6 shrimps. They were a good size, but again, a 2-3 more pieces would've made it perfect. Curry shrimp - I really enjoyed the curry shrimp and I appreciate that they package the curry shrimp separate from the sides that come with the meal. Definitely going to get those again when I return. Escovitch fish - I had never ordered a whole fried fish before so I was excited. I had escovitch fish when I was in Jamaica but it was served not as a whole fish. I thought it was fried well and had good seasoning. I like the pickling too, I ordered extra. I also ordered a beef patty and an oxtail patty but I haven't eaten them yet. Looking forward to it though. Also, the plates came with cabbage. I'm not sure if it was supposed to be cooked, I've seen that and that's what I expected. But what was on the plate was dry bagged salad like you get from the produce section to make Cole slaw. There was no sauce and it was uncooked. Not sure about that. I ordered online so I didn't really get "service" but the woman at the register was kind and had a warm smile. Overall, I can't wait to return. And now that I know what I like, maybe I won't spend quite so much to try everything lol.
