I love Yummy House! It's a non negotiable anytime I'm in town. The staff is always so kind and patient. They have a bar and a bakery inside as well which is convenient. Our go-to order is the wonton soup, house fried rice and lo mein. The sesame chicken is a personal favorite. They have dim sum and their bistro fried rice for lunch is amazing. 10/10 recommend.

There is no way I would ever return to this overpriced flavorless food restaurant. The only thing they have going for them is tasty bakery goods. The description on Yelp does not match the food and is an insult to Chinese food. I also ordered Hong Noodle, but was already so disappointed, I didn't even take a photo. Another tastless dish.

We hadn't been here in a while, so we decided to go here after our movie. Love the great customer service, they were always coming by and checking in on us. There where's some cool stuff They brought by the table to see if we wanted anything. On a rolling cart. Love the look of the restaurant itself, has the asain vibe going. Our food came out hot and quickly. We are glad we stopped here for some food was a nice change.

I literally love yummy house dim sum. Fav pick me up / treat for anything. The service is good and my back grows a little bigger every time I get dim sum here.

Best dim sum in Gainesville. Yummy House is not a large sized dim sum restaurant like the ones you'd find in a large metropolitan city like NYC, LA, Seattle, or Chicago but for its size and location it does an impressive job with its variety of dim sum dishes. If you have not tried their dim sum, go and try it. Dim sum is traditional served during breakfast and lunch hours but now many restaurants serve it throughout the day. Dim sum is made up of small plates of steamed and fried dumplings, buns, and snacks served with tea. There is a large variety to chose from, and the ones I have tried from Yummy House: har gow, siu mai, sticky rice lotus leaf wrap, turnip cake, soup dumplings, braised chicken feet, pork buns, steamed stuff tofu skin rolls, egg custard tarts and egg custard buns, steamed black beef tripes, steamed shrimp balls, fried shrimp balls, shrimp rice noodle rolls, beef noodle rolls, roast pork puffs, shrimp chives, deep fried taro cake/puffs, peppers stuffed with shrimp, sesame balls, and I am sure I am forgetting some. For the past 10 years, Yummy House is where I go when I am craving dim sum and am in Gainesville. I am headed there today which made me realize that I'd never left a Yelp review of Yummy House Gainesville. They have other locations in Ocala and Tampa. I have only been to the Gainesville location.

Food is great, some of my favorite Chinese food. Portions are massive. I'd probably order one dish for me in the future.

Stopped by for lunch on our road trip down to Miami. Food came out quickly and was pretty good

We live…read morein The Villages, unfortunately there just aren't any authentic ethnic restaurants in The Villages. There are wanna be Chinese restaurants in The Villages but the food is Chinese-American and I would not even eat there or recommend them. Yummy House in Ocala was actually referred to us by the owner of Square 1 Burgers in The Villages, another fantastic restaurant but that's another review. Yummy House offers a variety of authentic Chinese dishes, and they also offer Dim Sum on weekends. The first time my spouse and I went there, we couldn't believe the choices. We used to always drive to Peter's Kitchen in Orlando but it was over an hour to drive there for us. Ocala was much closer and to be quite honest just as good as the restaurant in Orlando. Every dish I've ordered there has been out of this world. Which makes it so hard for me to choose my entrée. I do have a favorite server at Yummy House. His name is Ming. So, when I dine at Yummy House, I always ask to be seated at Ming's area. I also golf in Ocala which friends, about 8 to 12 of us. After golf, we normally have lunch together too. So, Yummy House is at the top of the list for us. When we do, I call the restaurant ahead to make a reservation and ask them to assign Ming to us. Ming always provides excellent service and especially with me being Asian, he kind of knows what type of dish I like and when I order a dish he will normally make suggestions to add to the dish or cook a certain way that knows I would like. He also makes suggestions to each person in our group and sometimes he'll tell them to try a dish that he's sure they've never had before. He tries to take them out of their comfort zone. They've always been happy with his suggestion. The restaurant itself reminds me of some of the Chinese restaurants I've been to that is not a fast-food restaurant. Very authentic inside. They also offer a beer called Lucky Buddha. I think everyone likes to order the beef because the bottle is in the shape of Buddha. Yesterday, we met friends at Yummy House who are visiting from Boston. Unfortunately, Ming was off and another server took care of us. He was a good server but just not like Ming who really goes out of his way to talk to you, joke and laugh. However, he was not a bad server but he was just there to provide server and do his job. So, I cannot fault him for that. So overall the entire experience yesterday was good. I highly recommend Yummy House if you are near the Ocala area and are craving for authentic Chinese food.

Con's- Didn't like the fact that when placing an order online you're forced to tip. (I don't mind tipping but prefer to tip when I pick up my order) Upon walking in it didn't smell too good. I had to ask for condiments and utensils. (In my opinion if I've already tipped before picking up my togo order utensils should've definitely been packed. I understand that condiments shouldn't be in bag as some don't want/need them.) Pros - Food was good and flavorful. Portion size was mediocre and average. Maybe later we will go and try the dim sum but if the smell is there when we walk in we will walk right back out.

Beef noodles - the broth taste decent and had just enough spicyness to my liking. The beef was tender and I would say to it's price has reasonable amount. Although I thought it has the wide rice noodle but instead it came with the thin noodle. Overall, their beef noodles satisfied my cravings. 2. Veggie spring rolls- this actually surprised me as it came out super small ‍and almost nothing inside. At first I thought the wrapper maybe was just thin and will have a good fillings inside but I was wrong. 3. Pork steam soup- my husband ordered this. He was a bit disappointed as it was dry inside. Service- we noticed that there's just 1 all around server which made the wait time longer especially when the customers started to showed up. Ambiance- it was strategically located and the inside has enough space even with the numbers of occupied tables when we were there.

The pork soup dumplings were a bit different than how I'm used to having them prepared. They were thicker at the top and there wasn't much broth in them. However, the pork inside was a generous amount so it made up for the lack of broth. I enjoyed the chili oil and the vinegar provided on the side, great addition to every bite. I ordered the spicy beef noodle soup which was very aromatic, which I love about the dish whenever I order it. It had plenty of heat which is great as well. Finished it all off with a bottle of Sapporo. The service was quick and easy, and the ambiance was laid back which I loved for a nice rainy afternoon lunch. Please check them out if you're ever in the Riverside area!
