My favorite Pho place no matter the weather. They use high grade meats to make high quality food.

The Pho here is firmly entrenched in comfortable middle. Its not in that inedible 10%, but it isn't in the 10%, Pho I would travel for, realm either. Its simply OK. The attitude of the people working there is what lost my business. Yesterday, they literally (and I mean literally in the English sense of the word, not the vapid airhead sense of the word) threw my bag of food at me - and that isn't the first time something like that has happened here, but it will be the last. read more

Pretty decent Pho at this place, and their rice vermicelli was really good. My wife got the chicken Pho small size and it was huge. It came with a lot of meat, veggies, and sides! I got the roast pork and egg roll rice vermicelli. It had a great amount of noodles, lettuce, and the meat was super yummy! The egg roll was small like they typically are in Vietnamese food! Delicious, affordable and fast. Pho is served hot to order in less than 5 minutes. Your choice of any combination in small or large size. The small is enough for a substantial lunch unless you're starving. All the fixings are fresh. Vietnamese iced coffee was tasty and served in a plastic cup which was perfect to take with me. Consistent great services, very welcoming from the 3-4 times we've been there. The house vermicelli salad was delicious with generous portions of chicken and shrimp. Beef pho and sandwich were great too. The only thing is that the marinated meat tended to be on the salty side, and a bowl of pho was $18. The food was mediocre, and the service? Horrendous. We got there at 8:15 and was immediately ushered to order because the kitchen closes at 8:30 and the restaurant at 9. We ordered right away. Then as we got ready to leave, I was told I couldn't pack my own food because I wasn't fast enough, then I was going to take my daughter to the bathroom to wash her hands but apparently that wasn't ok because they told us "we are closed, you need to leave". This was 9:15. Never have I felt like a second class citizen after paying for food and tips that I couldn't finish my food and wash my hands a few minutes after they close. I would be ok with soup nazi type of rules if the food was good (walrus and the carpenter level). But this was tasteless soup that you can get better at something like what the pho in Bellevue. It's actually good. Big servings. Casual dining. Ambience is presentable. Price is reasonable. My husband ordered typical Pho noodle soup with medium rare steak meat. I ordered beef stew pho. We were both satisfied with everything. You know those fresh basil and bean sprouts they serve before the noodles? They served it fresh! Which we were really happy about. My boyfriend and I were regulars here. The owner was nice to us and gave us good service and food. When I visited this restaurant FOR THE LAST TIME, there was a small fly in the "Yummy Pho" soup. I asked the server to give me a new pho soup, but when they gave me the "new" pho soup, it was the SAME BOWL WITH THE SMALL FLY INSIDE THE SOUP. They just changed the bottom plate and gave me the SAME BOWL. I don't understand why they treat us like this. My boyfriend and I WILL NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN. The pho here is very flavorful. I usually get the chicken pho, and can't complain. The portion size is just right and so is the price. (never ate in, just to go) As for the service-- i would agree with what most have said-- the staff here is not friendly at all. I'd give this place 3.5 rating. I haven't found the best & most authentic pho restaurant in Seattle area yet. The pho was good but no "kick" to it. It didn't make me feel "yeah I want more or I'd come back for more". -No MSG or maybe very little - fried rice was very simple but tasty so for the price, it's too pricey. Couple chunks of white rice that didn't mix well. - the broth didn't have so much flavor to it but still good I guess. - generous portion of food - Thai tea and viet coffee were okay. Not sure if viet coffee was done in a single cup with the drainer or just in one big jar because I had it to go. Other places had better Thai tea ** If you have tasted authentic pho, you may think this place is just mehh. Side note: please check your balance if you pay by cash. I didn't realize until I came home that the cashier supposed to give back $15 but only gave $5. It was busy and was in a rush so I didn't pay attention til I got home. Prices online do not match what I was charged. Online price for sandwich says $5.50 on the Yelp images and online on their site through their FB page it says $4.75 but I was charged $7.50. I asked for a paper menu for carry out with my order and they did not have any. The guy who took my order on the phone was pretty rude, but the girl who rang me up was nice. The owner of this place....HATES me. I did a takeout order a few weeks back and because I knew I'd get screwed on vegetables if I ordered 2 Pho at once (thereby only receiving one set of vegetables for two orders) I had my wife call in a single Pho order and then 2 minutes later I called in a single Pho order and then I went and picked both individual orders up. It worked perfectly and I received two FULL orders. The owner, however, is not a dummy. As soon as he'd realized I did that on purpose when I went to pick up, he gave me a solid stare down for several seconds before running my credit card. I thought he was giving me a respectful "Well played....well played" look but in fact he was simply etching my face into his memory. I'd won this round. Fast forward to last night. Wife and I decide to go for Pho and walk in. One of the regular waitresses sat us but as soon as he saw me the owner all but broke himself shoving past chairs to get to my table and have a good look at me. Once he confirmed up close that I was the person who had beat him at his vegetable game his behavior and body language conveyed the unmistakable message every old restaurant worker knows as 'you are in trouble, dear diner'. He took a partial order from my wife and I. That is, we were in the process of ordering and as soon as I'd said the Pho I'd wanted he took off. Didn't have a chance to tell him about appetizers or drinks. He had the info he needed to make a 'special' pho for me. Wife and I had an uneasy feeling at this point. The amount of hostility pouring from this man who obviously had a keen interest in me personally and his erratic behavior were too much. My wife got up, went to the desk and cancelled the order. He was more than happy to wave us both away. Like, too eager. Either he knew he tipped his hand or he was a hair away from telling us to GTFO anyhow. Scratch this place off the list! So my wife and I have relied on Yummy Pho as a reliable stand-by for carry-out meals since our first visit. It's really good, especially if you want something that is relatively clean-tasting and healthy. I can't get over the lemon-grass [insert ingredient here]. I've tried the lemongrass chicken, the lemongrass beef, the lemongrass faux chicken (it's vegetarian), the faux beef, and the lemongrass tofu. All good. 1. Walked in with my husband the other day; it was 8:05pm (they close at 9pm) 2. Greeted by an older gentleman with nothing more than a disgruntled glare.... he walks up to us (begrudgingly).... 3. First thing that comes out of his mouth, "WE HAVE NO MORE SOUP!" 4. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, my husband and I decide that we'd still like to eat there as they offer many non-soup based dishes...so we tell him nicely, "No problem". 5. The man let out an exasperated sigh of disappointment and plopped two menus on the table and walked away. 6. Obviously by now, my husband and I were convinced this was probably not the best place to spend our money.... so we kindly informed the guy that we're actually going to go somewhere else. 7. The man's eye LIT up with relief and joy as he quickly cleared our tables and we walked out still shocked at what we just experienced.... Moral of the story? If you're a business owner, and you have an hour until closing, then you have an hour of smiley-customer-service-face that you need to exude to everyone that walks in your doors until those doors are closed. If you're more concerned about closing your doors and clearing your tables than taking care of your customers, you'll have other concerns coming your way and they will start to become issues with your ability to pay your bills. I know everyone has a little more forgiveness when it comes to small ethnic restaurants and the level of service provided, but how we were treated was crossing the line. read more

For Redmond quality, they serve up decent pho. However, it is far from the better pho joints I have had around Eastside and particularly the Seattle area. Their pho is at least a dollar more expensive than most places, and their portions are not that generous. So what exactly am I paying more for...? I find the decor and service to be a 3, but the food is around 3.5. So it averages around 3.2 for me. We had a grumpy, old man serve us when we were there on a Thursday night. Paired with the tacky lime green paint against a bare restaurant doubled the unwelcomeness that we felt while we were there. I ordered the Yummy Vegan pho size small, and what came out was like a children's small. It was pretty damn small; however, the "chicken" made from tofu was good considering I had my doubts about imitation meat. I wouldn't rush to go back to this place, but it is better than their pho neighbors in Redmond. read more

Yummy Pho is a restaurant in a strip mall in the northern part of town. It was doing quite brisk business on the day I visited. Deep fried egg rolls were quite generic. The Yummy Pho soup noodles had a generous amount of different types of beef including tendon with vermicelli rice noodles. The soup was OK but not packed with flavour. The accompanying bean sprout salad was fresh once the lime juice was squeezed. I tried my first bubble tea here. The waitress persuaded me to try taro flavour. I crave Tofu Bahn Mi sandwiches from Yummy Pho and for only $4.50 they are a great value. I love bread and they make a very light, crackly crust baguette that is soft and chewy on the inside. This Bahn Mi is stuffed with perfect fixings and a good amount of cilantro. Skip the pho (it's also really good) and go for the Bahn Mi! read more

We visited this restaurant in the evening and there was only one customer. The restaurant also seems to operate a pool bar in the same building which I thought was a little odd. However, the pho and a sandwich we ordered were very good. The vegetable came with pho was fresh as well. We will visit again. read more

Hungry and stuck on the eastside we decided to give Yummy Pho a try. We weren't disappointed, but not excited either. The broth is rich and tastes really good, there are lots of noodles in the Pho which fights even the biggest hunger! I've been coming to this pho place basically since I moved to the area in 2013. They know me on sight and don't even bother handing me a menu anymore, just verbally confirming with me. I've eaten pho at maybe 15 different places in the Seattle area, northside, southside, and eastside, and Yummy Pho beats them all. The broth is flavorful and 'crisp' and does not have the greasy taste that almost every other pho place I've been to has. The side dish is always full of fresh ingredients, the meat is never chewy unless it's supposed to be, and it's always served hot and quickly. I see a lot of reviews that complain about the service here, and I've never experienced rude behavior or 'scowls', even when I wasn't a regular. They're not super expressive, but they always seated me quickly and treated me well and were fast to bring the water glass. They don't bring another unless you ask, nor do they bother you during your meal to ask you the ever meaningless question of 'how is everything'. I come here with a book and read while I eat because it's one of the few restaurants where I won't be bothered every 3 minutes by staff fishing for a bigger tip. The interior of the restaurant is always clean, if a little run down, and they bus tables almost immediately after someone has paid and left. I never see meal remains on the tables here for more than a minute. The only issue I have with the interior is that the center row of tables are all extremely close together, so if you come during a rush you might be fairly close to people you don't know if you're alone or with just one other person. If you're on the east side and you want to eat a good bowl of pho, you can do a lot worse than Yummy Pho and probably not much better. read more

My brother brought us here during our visit here this past Thanksgiving. Place was packed so I had high expectations but I was disappointed! There is nothing special about the pho here. The broth was ok and the portion was a bit on the small side. The price wasn't pretty either. I don't know why pho is so expensive here in Washington! I live in the Bay Area and yes some places will charge $8 bucks a bowl up to $10 or more depending on where you go but I've been to a few places in different areas here in Washington and the cost only goes up. Yummy Pho has THE best veggie pho I've ever had! It comes with a variety of freshly cooked veggies (broccolli, carrots, bok choy, etc.) and is excellent with fried tofu and the meat broth. Seriously, fellow yelp users in Redmond, I have had better Vietnamese food. The food at Yummy Pho was dried out and tasteless. The summer rolls (both pork and shrimp) were obviously made ahead of time and wrapped in plastic, The pad Thai with chicken was dry and tasteless, and the grilled pork skewers had the same problem (way too dry). Do NOT waste your time or money here. And don't believe the other reviewers--the food does not deserve 3 or 4 stars. I went tonight (around 8:30 pm on a Saturday) because I didn't feel like cooking. I spent $37.00 on two entrees, and 4 appetizers (the summer rolls) and it was a complete disappointment and a waste of money. My first clue should have been when I realized that there was NO ONE in the restaurant on a Saturday night. Trust your instincts and stay away, I am sorry to report this true story. I usually love Vietnamese sandwiches for 2 reasons, because they taste great and they're cheap. Unfortunately, this place forgot the latter. I ordered 1 pork and 1 tofu sandwich for my lunch and the total came to over 9 bucks (not including tip). Not a bank breaker but typically these sandwiches go for around 2-3 dollars around the greater Seattle area. I spend the majority of my days working in Redmond so I'm sure I'll break down and buy them again. I'd probably be there daily if they were priced right.
