Pleasant environment and great service! - Pho beef rib 5/5 Flavorful soup base and ribs with lots of beef on them. A must try if you come to this restaurants. BE CAREFUL for small broken bones in the soup - could be dangerous for babies or hurt your teeth - pork roll 2.5/5 Looks like spam pork from the cans, not fresher grilled pork - pad Thai 3/5 Okay dish. I recommend pho here more than the stir fried noodles. The pad Thai noodles were sticking and dry when served

Such a cute little Vietnamese restaurant in Kirkland. They've got a rich menu, with lots of choices for mains. It would be nice to have a gluten free (gf) sign on the dishes that are gf - just makes it easier for people with dietary requirements. Service was good and timely. I love that you can order the pho in different sizes (bowls shown on a wall). Husband ordered the P14 and loved it. I got the vegetable fried rice with shrimp.

I'm still trying to find decent pho restaurant on the Eastside and I happened to be close by here. Cut to the chase: pho broth was light, and didn't pack enough of a dense flavor. While my wife liked the pork and chicken of her bun/vermicelli dish, the accompanying fish sauce was pale and lacked flavor. Out of curiosity I ordered the a dry style egg noodle with wontons and BBQ pork which itself was okay, but again the accompanying dipping soup base was too light. While the service was kind, the food came out at different times too, which makes it a bit tough to stall a hungry toddler.

    - hidden upgrade pricing - Food: 2 stars Price: 2 stars Service: 2 stars Ambiance: 3 stars Overall: 2.25 stars We came for lunch on Friday around 11 am, and we got seated after standing at the entrance for a while because none of the three waiter/waitress greeted us even though they could see us... I ordered C1 deluxe crispy egg noodles with seafood $17 (+$2 for seafood) and my husband got the P1, pho filet mignon $15. The pho soup was on the lighter side, definitely not as flavorful as other places. My dish looks good, but the sauce wasn't it. It was too greasy for me. I also found out about the extra $2 charge for seafood which was nowhere to be found on the menu. Most places make it super clear, but this place was sly about it. Not to mention the waitress also didn't tell us about it. It came with 4 pieces of shrimps and 5 pieces of squid, and I really don't think it's worth. Not to mention the squid is completely tasteless. I'd recommend ordering something that's not seafood or shrimp to avoid the surcharge. Overall I didn't enjoy the meal, and they didn't even have bun bo hue here, which was also disappointing. Plus the portion of the bean sprouts they gave out for the pho was quite pathetic as well... I rarely come here, but I will make sure to visit elsewhere if I'm in the area again.

Service is quick and easy! Overall not a bad bowl of pho and a good portion. Pho combo: they give a pretty good amount of each meat and also tripe, some meat was good but some of the meat was stringy and chewy. The meat quality wasn't the best that I've had at a pho spot, so that's the main reason why my bowl wasn't as enjoyable They have a pretty extensive menu, so I might try other dishes too when I'm back in the area

To the viet braddah and sista for continuing on your mama's recipe i thank you for always curing my hangover. If you're feeling more umami go to here if you like your pho sweet cafe 79 is the spot. Place got an open concept kitchen so you can see your food being made. So if they really didn't like you, you would know what those extra bubbles mean. Bulk approved

This place is such a cute find. The place is very clean and a 5min drive from Totem Lake town center. The service was great, very attentive and nice. I order the vegetable pho and it was one of the best veggie broths I've had! A little on the sweet side and I wish they had chilli oil at the table but would order again. My partner ordered the chicken fried rice and said it was a 4/5- a bit too sweet and oily for his taste but enjoyed it all the same. The bill was about $32 before tip for the 2 items. A bit expensive for pho but also there is a lot of money in the area so understandable. Follow me more local reviews

One liner: $20 per person ish and don't forget to try their tofu appetizers. This is a nice little restaurant in a Kirkland strip mall with ample parking. The restaurant is clean inside and has quite a few tables for seating so I don't expect it to run out of space for dine in. The ambience is nice with an Asian vibe to it. The staff is fast and attentive. They won't do much small talk but that's okay because you're here coz you're hungry :) not coz you wanna chat. The food was delicious. I don't know how they do it but their spiced garlic tofu was so soft and so magnificent. Their vegetarian pho was also delicious with yummy noodles. It's really cool that they also have vegetarian broth for the true veggie lovers out there. I recommend this restaurant.

Small Vietnamese Restaurant in a strip mall in the Totem Lake area. Decor is clean and modern. Place is pretty popular for a little suburban restaurant. Was here at around 1pm on a Sunday and there were people waiting. Ended up coming back on a different Sunday for dinner. Place was about half full at 5:30 but filled up when I got my food. They have QR codes to scan to view the menu. Pretty standard menu, with a selection of pho and Vietnamese dishes like spring rolls and banh mi sandwiches. Got their beef rib pho which only comes in the large size for $16. For other pho you can get small or extra-large. The beef rib pho was pretty good size and comes with two beef ribs. The pho noodles had the right consistency. The broth was tasty, maybe slightly on the salty side, but that's how I like it. The beef ribs were very meaty. One of them was fairly easy to get the meat off the bone. The other one was maybe from end of rib cage and had more connective tissue that took some time to cut off and chew through. Probably could have cooked the second rib a little longer to soften it up. Overall was still a good fulfilling meal.

The staff were friendly and polite - and they graciously accommodated my peanut allergy, and quickly accommodated small requests like for bowls or extra napkins. We ordered four items: the missus got the bun bo hue, and I got the special beef pho. We shared the pancake and the spring roll. The noodle dishes were decent, but the standout was the Vietnamese pancake. Definitely order this if you're on the fence! The restaurant got a lot busier after we got our food - at least two or three parties who arrived (two each) had to wait between 5-10 min for a table to clear. The staff are super efficient at clearing tables so you won't need to wait long, but the downside of this place is that their popularity easily exceeds their capacity - so be patient! I don't have any notes for ambiance. Parking is available in the same plaza, but there isn't much - a lot are reserved for specific businesses between specific hours, so be careful not to park in an open business if you intend to eat here!

This was on a Friday night at almost 6pm and my friend and I came in to a nearly empty interior that filled up throughout our stay. Is it just dinnertime that time or were my friend and I bringing in the crowds? You'll enjoy a very clean and well-kept restaurant with clean tables and chairs, with lighting that's very little but lights up the whole place well. Menu has a lot of offerings (both regular and vegetarian) but since it's dinnertime I decided on a rice dish as usual. I got their beef short ribs rice dish, which has their usual marinated short ribs with a fried egg and veggies. I actually liked how they offered their rice in a separate bowl, and everything else on one plate... which means the meat almost covered my whole plate! By the way, my friend got their grilled pork chop rice dish, and the meat also almost completely covered his plate. Both our meats were marinated so well and held in so much flavor, and came off their bones easily. We both agreed the grilled beef short rib dish I ordered was the winner because of the bolder and more defined marinated taste of the meat. I've tried so many Vietnamese restaurants and almost exclusively get their beef short ribs rice on the first visits of them, but this is the first time I've seen meat portions this huge for a rice dish. I'm thinking of coming back here for another visit even if I have to deal with the tight parking plaza this place is close to.

The only 2 drawbacks. for me was ... instead of pork belly, they use chicken, i think white meat cause the meat is very dry. The second is they don't offer a lot of fresh herbs with this dish. Just some cilantro and one small branch of Thai basil Next time i order this i will definitely ask for pork belly instead of chicken in my banh xeo. Definitely recommend you trying this restaurant. We ended up choosing a place close and were not disappointed at all. This restaurant is located off a busy street but it luckily offers a parking lot which can be hard to come by in Seattle. My favorite dishes are the PHAD SEE EIW with chicken ($16.25) and the THAI GRILLED BEEF SALAD (cooked medium) ($20.50). The PHAD SEE EIW has the perfect sauce balance of sweet and savory flavors and comes with broccoli and carrot. The noodles are super long and wide so you know they are fresh and not from the box. The THAI GRILLED BEEF SALAD definitely has a kick to it. This dish comes with raw cucumbers, carrots, onions, and basil and is served in a tangy and umami fish sauce vinegar mix. The beef is extremely tasty, tender, and well-marinated. This past visit, my friends and I also tried two new dishes that I've never had at Isarn before- their CHIANG MAI NOODLES (aka Khao Soi) ($17.25) and the MINCED LAMB WITH THAI BASIL ($16.50). The CHIANG MAI NOODLES were beautifully presented with a nest of crunchy egg noodles on top of a creamy yellow curry with soft egg noodles underneath. It was served with pickled mustard cabbage and onions for extra punch of flavor. The MINCED LAMB WITH THAI BASIL reminded me of Vietnamese larb. However, this dish was more savory and less tangy than larb and the basil really shined through. It is quite oily though so make sure to enjoy it with a side of JASMINE RICE ($2.75). Portions are generous for all dishes and I always leave with leftovers. The atmosphere is modern, clean, and trendy. It's a great place for catching up with friends and not too loud. I will say the restaurant is a bit on the darker side, but that's just how they set the ambiance. Service was good and we got our food promptly within 15-20 minutes after ordering. It took a bit of time to waive the waiter down for to-go boxes, but they were attentive otherwise. Note that Isarn doesn't take reservations and it's street parking only. However, they have a waiting list kiosk inside the restaurant and so if they're busy, you can sign up for notifications and walk around the downtown Kirkland shops while you're waiting. Crunchy outside with tender shrimp and sweet chili sauce - a perfect appetizer to share. Isarn Fried Rice (4.25/5): A fried rice unlike any other. Was my personal favorite dish of the night. The rice kernels were separated into individual grains and coated in grease in the best way possible. I'm a kale hater, but the combination with salted eggs and the purposefully chewy fried steak pieces was just super delicious! Northern Style Sweet Curry (3.75/5): The curry itself is fantastic: super balanced between savory, fragrant, and sweet. The steak chunks unfortunately were just a bit overcooked and chewy. Durian Sticky Rice (4.25/5): Sticky rice has a super satisfying chew and I appreciated that the sauce wasn't overly sweet. Durian itself was sweet and creamy with just a touch funk. If you've never had durian before, this is a fantastic intro.

I ordered the Pho Tai, medium-sized, which was about $16, sort of average pricing for pho. The meat quality was just good, but the broth was flavorful. Pho paired with Thai tea is one of the best combos, and their Thai tea was up to par! I would definitely come back if I were in the area!

I have come many times over the years and the servers dont go out of their way to be nice. Thats fine, since pho restaurants usually have that vibe of just coming in for your food. But the last time i went, they did go out of their way; unfortunately to be RUDE instead. My friends and i came in at 8:30; we knew they closed at 9, but we had our orders ready, and they sat us without an issue (as it seemed). They then gave us attitude and rushed us the entire time. My friend asked the girl server with glasses for extra veggies. The server visibly hesitated, said yes, but then tried to explain the veggies were to portion. We said we understood that but simply wanted more. She agreed, but then proceeded to ignore us for the rest of the time. She ignored us when we said thank you, and stood behind our booth without saying anything; waiting for us to get up and leave. The other server (asian guy, about 20s, with a mask) who had sat us, stood and watched us eating the entire time. When he brought us the first two bowls of pho, he said it was x item, then randomly waved his hand at me to tell me it was y item (my order). It wasnt lol. When he rang us up, he basically threw us our reciepts to sign. In the past, it once took this same server my entire meal to refill my water and in the end he never did it. I didnt think coming in at 8:30 was crazy, especially when most of the restaurant was filled when we pulled up and we knew we could finish up by 9 (which we did). If youre going to ruin our meal AND experience because we came in at the last hour then dont bother seating us at all. And if youre going to have this much resentment at the end of your shift for giving customers extra veggies then learn how to say no. I as well as my two friends each have worked in customer service for a long time. We know its annoying to have late customers, and i dont know what kind of day they had. Its still unreasonable to behave like this at their grown working age. Like i said; learn how to say no, maybe your shift wont be so miserable. And dont take it out on your customers; its a terrible business look. Ive tolerated the small things like them not being the most friendly or forgetting to fill my water; ive once overlooked them giving me the wrong order before. But i will not be coming back anymore since i prefer not to have staring competitions with my power-tripping server.
