But one of the managers or owners came out several times to check on us and make sure we had what we needed. The dining room has a decent amount of tables and the decor is really cute. Consistency was like jerky, tough, chewy to the point of having to pull the piece while in your teeth. Spicy, but after a piece we did not eat more. The general gao's chicken had too much batter on it making the pieces like chewy tootsie rolls. Last was beef and broccoli, which was okay, beef was a bit chewy and the veg was okay. Wife thinks new management or new chef, as these dishes we have curated as their best, after suffering through some not good dishes. Restaurant business is hard, proteins are expensive, now vegetables are expensive and inconsistent in pricing due to tariffs, transport costs. May have to forgo this place in the future and look to drive towards Quincy where competition makes for better restaurants.
