Now let me be real -- I'm not a "traditional sushi only" type yet -- but I AM a big fan of deep-fried rolls, and this place definitely delivered. They had plenty of fried roll options to choose from, which I loved. I ordered the Angel Hair Roll and the Volcano Roll, and both were VERY good. Crispy on the outside, flavorful on the inside, and the sauces they provided were more than enough to get the job done. The yum yum sauce was also on point -- always a win in my book. Had a really good experience at this AYCE place on South Boulevard! As Mr. Tokyo's regulars, we were curious how Yummy Sushi would compare. And we weren't disappointed - this may just become our new go-to spot! Coming in for lunch on a Monday, there was plenty of space, and we felt very comfortable being there with our baby. We were immediately seated at a comfortable booth, and service was attentive and friendly. The inside is nicely decorated - casual with care. $15 per person for lunch is a great deal for the variety of food options and quality! We had crab rangoon, seaweed salad, a couple nigiri, as well as some rolls. All tasted fresh and came out pretty quickly. We actually were accidentally served an extra roll that we didn't order, and our server assured us that we didn't have to eat it/get charged. Good thing too because we were stuffed! I ordered takeout from here through a food delivery app. The sushi took about an hour to get here and was room temperature. That is mostly due to the delivery platform making the driver take multiple stops. However, temperature aside I just felt like the sushi lacked flavor overall. I had to use a lot of wasabi and soy to make it taste like anything. Even the seaweed wrap didn't taste like much. I placed an order to go and when I brought it home the Hibachi Steak & Shrimp was a good portion that was full of flavors. We've been to Sushi Hana and never to Mr. Tokyo. If you've ever been to "Mr. Tokyo" this is exactly the same thing. All You Can eat sushi and hibachi. Everyone was super efficient and friendly. They do close from 3-4pm. Sushi tasted extremely fresh and the hibachi meals were super tasty. Came on a Sunday afternoon around 2pm and had plenty of time to eat in an hour. Not necessarily but was good nonetheless. For desert I ordered a mango and strawberry mochi. My first time having mochi so nothin to compare it too but I thought they were both pretty good. The strawberry was a bit potent in flavor while the mango seemed to only have a hint of mango flavor. Our server was new and wasn't really knowledgeable about the menu which is understandable . However , he did seem to need some more floor training versus attending to us on his own. If we asked a question , rather than saying "let me find out" if he didn't know he kind of just shrugged and didn't try to find answer . First, I will note that I ordered Yummy Sushi via DoorDash, but it arrived very quickly, so it didn't have any time to suddenly become gross. I ordered a rainbow roll and that was the best part of the meal (although, the avocado was a bit bitter on top - so I had to take that off). The crab Rangoon was over-fried, but with little actual stuffing. The crunchy roll had such an odd texture that I immediately spit it out - the crab stick in the roll had a hard exterior (which was very unsettling...even my dog wasn't interested in it and he eats everything). The spicy crab roll was very mid. Eating 1 of the 4 items I ordered and throwing the rest away felt like a bummer of a dinner. Lesson learned. PS. I just found out that this is an all you can eat restaurant and explains why the rolls weren't actually good. I think if I had brought a teenager and spent $20 for him to eat like 15 rolls, it would have felt like a much better deal than buying it per roll and paying about $50 with all the extra fees/tip to have it delivered (which, of course, was on me for not wanting to leave the house). read more
