I've been to Jasmine several times in the fairly recent past. I always enjoyed the food. However we went to Jasmine two days ago and we were quite disappointed with the food. Most everything was over cooked and dry. The BBQ spare ribs were terrible. They are usually one of my favorite items. This time, not good. Very dry and overcooked. Everything else was bland with no flavor. I guess they've decided they can't serve good food and make the kind of profit they want. I doubt I'll be back. warning to all Semi truck drivers. this Friday I was charged $3000 by Carolina Towing. I stopped by to eat at Jasmine Buffet, came back to truck to leave the lot and 2 towing trucks blocked me in the front and back, they said I have 20 minutes to pay the boot fee or they will tow the truck and driver get arrested. there are many semi trucks come here and they can do that at any time. Best Chinese buffet around since the GOAT Royal Buffet in Rock Hill closed many years ago

I guess on the plus side, they had a lot of tables, and a lot of food to choose from... on the negative side, it was all mediocre at best... The sushi was bland, even the wasabi was bland.. The only thing I did like was the black pepper chicken, which was simply small pieces of fried chicken with an extra crunchy coating. That's what I ended up eating the most of... I'm a regular at Jasmine Buffet and has been coming here since moving back home from Georgia nearly 6 years ago. My niece put me on to Jasmine Buffet. I have been to some buffet spots where the prices were kinda high for the quality of food and service provided however, with Jasmine Buffet, I can honestly say this has been my favorite spot to eat at. They are very clean, they are always monitoring the bars to see which food items need to be replenished. The staff are the most kind and friendliest staff I've ever experienced. They are always checking on you to see if your drinks need to be refilled and/or if your plates need to be taken. I never mind giving a good tip because these workers are so humble. I've never had a bad experience with any of the employees in the 6 years I've been coming to eat. Sometimes I'll take myself out to lunch. I've put some of my friends on to Jasmine Buffet. We like buffet for the choices & price but not this one. We thought every buffet was the same but not this one. We almost passed out after the first little plate of food. We chose this place because it was close to my girlfriend's house. We also saw $9.99 lunch but didn't noticed the high price for the weekend Sunday underneath. We were naive as I don't eat shellfish & pork. They used all cheapest disposable paper dish, plastic utensils for the reason of pandemic. I know those prices as I always shop at restaurants wholesale. After we picked something from Shusho bar, but I only picked a seaweeds pocket with wasabi, I thought I would get something later. Then I felt dizzy after eating that seaweed pocket. I thought I might had an empty stomach earlier. I felt bloating & breathless. I had to use some medicine oil to wake up myself, release my belt to avoid myself being pass out there. After I felt better, I could force myself to eat some vegetables & a small plate of jello. When I felt better, my girlfriend & I checked out to receive the check for over $30 than she was shocked. She said the door showed $9.9 for lunch. Then the guy came to show me it was $14.99 for dinner weekends & Sundays. Then I also noticed they removed the lunch price discreetly. I said to my girlfriend as I was to buy her lunch that i would not dispute but never come back. After we left the place, my girlfriend also said she didn't feel good after eating. She felt blurry but not as bad as I was. Later, when she got home, she texted me she had to lay down in bed. We were not sure if that's food from this buffet that gave us discomfort experience but we always go to buffet. What an terrible experience we had. This is one of the cleanest, well stocked buffets in the area. There's a sushi bar and hibachi as well. Several bars full of deserts, one of salads and the rest is dinner items. There's a little something for everyone. We didn't leave hungry. Also, bonus, they have knives at the buffet. Returning to Jasmine after a while and I feel the need to drop them to A-OK after today's experience. The interior is unchanged. The restaurant is clean and the tables are well-managed by the wait staff who quickly refill drinks and clear dirty plates. The steam tables are unchanged. The kitchen staff keep them clean and stocked, clearing off the stuff that people didn't quite manage to get onto their plates. An item dropped on the floor was cleaned up swiftly. But the food itself seems to be lacking. There's a lot more western food here including mac & cheese, chicken tenders and pizza and stuff for the kids, and there's a lot less Chinese. Really only six or so dishes with a protein in them and two were "& broccoli." Too much fried and too many heavy sauces. The sushi is fresh and updated, but it wasn't the right kind of rice. The texture of the nigiri was too tight, too dry and unflavored. The hit here is probably still the hibachi grill but that's not my thing. read more
