They mixed all our orders and Instead of apologizing server lady started fighting with us and blaming us only that you pointed order to wrong person. This review may not resonate with all but for Asian vegetarians like us, we were disappointed with this place. There was a really strong smell as we entered the retaurant and that was slightly unwelcoming. More than that, the food was mediocre. We ordered pad thai, pineapple fried rice and red curry dishes. Fried rice and red curry were okay but pad thai was just bad. This is our experience and YMMV. Doubt if we will return to this place. read more

I tried this place out for the first time today. Service: Lacking I decided to use their online ordering for takeout. I ordered the L14 Red Curry with Shrimp. When I arrived they tell me they hadn't received my order yet. (I waited 30min before I went to the restauraunt. I know this place is very new and has a lot of kinks to work out so I will give the benefit of the doubt that the online ordering also is lacking. - Zero stars deducted That being said, the service was lacking. Cooks and servers could be visibly seen arguing with each other, not good for reputation or ambiance of any establishment. The person that waited on me was very polite and said he'd get my order in right away and told me it would be an additional 10min wait. Check your To-Go orders before you leave a restaurant. My order was wrong when I opened it back in the office. The ticket was correct, but I received something completely different from what I had ordered. I received the Karee Curry with chicken. They did get the spring roll correct at least! - minus 2 stars The Food: Tasty (even if it's not what you ordered) Rating the quality of the food based on what I received it was very good. It had great flavor and spice. I would even venture to order the same plate again after I get to try the plate that I had ordered in the first place. - 3 stars I would like to give this place another chance seeing that they're a relatively new establishment. Fantastic place. I've ordered delivery 3 times in the last two weeks and have tried an assortment of dishes, all of which have been great. Fresh flavors, good ingredients. Try the Sai Rrok Lsau, neat little sausage balls, or the Kao Na Ped, awesome roasted duck shreded over long grain rice with baby bok choy if you want something a little different than the usual suspects. The pad Thai and the tom yum soup are also great too. Please support Yummy Thai! Not many delivery options in the Lake Carolyn area and I'm glad they are here. read more

First time and last time...stop this evening after work,staff could not communicate in order to get the to go food orders correct, after waiting forever for my food, it was you guessed it...wrong! My wife and I used to like this place a lot when it first opened. In fact, we liked it so much I referred a lot of my coworkers to this place. It all stopped the day I took my parents here. My mom had ordered a sticky rice with the entrees and when she opened the lid, a giant cockroach crawled out of the bamboo container! Mind you, the roach was 2inches long! The waitress apologized but was saying that cockroaches are everywhere and they can't ensure there wouldn't be one at a restaurant. Umm, last time I checked, I haven't seen a single roach in the past 100+ restaurants I've ate at. If I did, my review would've been on yelp. All in all, my experience with the restaurant after the initial opening period has been the same as the other reviewers as I've had Take Out orders not being placed in the system only to be called back after I left the restaurant that they found my order and was making it. This place is extremely inconsistent. I usually order delivery from here and occasionally eat there for lunch. Sometimes it's really flavorful and other times it's dull. Usually they do cater to your spice level but there are times when they don't follow at all. Last time I went with 2 coworkers and got the lunch special. I asked for a 2 spice level. The food comes out within 5 minutes of ordering to our surprise (usually we get it in 10-15). They made it at a 4 spice wise. My coworker got a 3 and she said it tasted like a 5-6. This is not the first time this has happened. . Service was okay considering it was packed. I wish this place would be more consistent with their food. read more

I was so happy to find out there was a new restaurant in our neighborhood of Las Colinas, so my husband and I went to have dinner one night and the restaurant wasn't busy at all; we ordered a Pho and a Bamee BBQ Pork Noodle. The waitress brought out the Pho first then it seemed no one remembered to bring the other dish for my husband. Two other customers who arrived after us, received their food before my husband. We called the waitress to remind her about the other dish, but by the time it arrived. I was already done with my dinner. The waitress apologized, and said that somehow the kitchen missed the second order. Despite this, I thought we would give it another try because the location of the restaurant is so close to us. Two days later four of us went to this restaurant at lunch; two of us ordered Pho and the other two ordered Pineapple fried rice and Pad Thai. A half hour later, the waiter brought out the two Pho we ordered, then another half hour went by and there was no lunch for my friends. We were at this restaurant for a whole hour, and by this time my two friends were very hungry, so we just paid for two Pho and we left. We never even received an apology for the wait. We also noticed that while all the staff were so busy, someone we assumed to be the owner or manager, the hostess, and a couple of their friends, sat at a table enjoying a leisurely lunch, only getting up to collect money at the cash register. Meanwhile, the customers had to wait for more than an hour for their food. The Pho was pretty good, but they really seem to have no concept about restaurant service. read more

This place is pretty good. I love it here. I ordered the pad see ew and the pad Thai. Both were seasoned well and the portions were perfect. The pad see ew had a balance of sweet and salty. I ordered Chicken Egg Rolls, Chicken Dumplings and Bbq Pork. I started eating and almost instantly had an allergic reaction. Weird, I'm allergic to seafood, not chicken or pork, and it takes a lot to make me react like this, there was definitely seafood in one of my items. Their lunch specials are a good price ($8.98) and come with a small soup and a teensy weensy "appetizer." I put that in quotes because I ordered the spring roll "appetizer" and it was literally the size of half of a standard sized spring roll. Not really an appetizer and more of an amuse-bouche. The entree was normal sized though. I got the pad thai and it was okay. They REALLY need to improve their service. I had to flag down a server when I needed to order, when I needed water, and when I needed to pay...I just walked up to the front and paid there because I was literally sitting there for 20 minutes with an empty plate and nobody brought me the check. Of course, they didn't check on me either throughout the meal. The table next to me were fed up with the long wait and they just got up and left without paying. The servers didn't even argue with them when they left, so this probably occurs regularly for this restaurant. read more

Went here with my family for my birthday recently. The place was not packed for a Monday night. We ordered 2 orders of crab Rangoon. They were so over cooked it almost hurt my teeth to chew them. Our food took a really long time to come out. Maybe 30 mins? No one checked in to tell us it would be ready soon or anything. We had to keep asking the waitress for water refills. We ordered a variety of things, I can't remember the name of my dish but it was the one with peanut sauce, which was ok. We also ordered 3 fried rice dishes, pad Thai & pad se ew (spelling?). The plain fried rice & pad se ew with tofu was ok. The shrimp in the curry fried rice was way over cooked. I took one bite & spit it out. The beef in the other rice was also over cooked, very tough & chewy. The pad Thai was too wet. Not sure why it was so wet. I'm used to eating drier noodles. Maybe it was a sauce they put on it & too much of it? It was ordered for a spicy scale of 2. It was too spicy for my sis & when she told the waitress, the waitress pretty much said nothing. Food Taste is Good, How ever the wait time is a bit long and not so customer friendly. I have ordered a to-go for pickup and it took almost 40 mins for the order to be packed and given to me. There is a window back of cashiers register. The guy standing there was eating (Cashews, cucumber and other toppings) from the bowls used to be served to customers. The waiters taking food are also using toppings from same bowls for topping on customer orders. read more

It is in a great location but they appear to be going through growing pains. We waited for a bit to get some one to take our order. Then had to wait for a bit longer to get our food. The fresh salad rolls were coming apart and not very tasty. The red curry and basil fried rice were mediocre at best. It was very loud though the ambience was better than most thai restaurants. Came here tonight and I have to say this is the Best Thai food/restaurant I've had in soooo long ! They are very new and still trying to get things organized but everyone there was very polite ! Our water was always full ! Everyone was always smiling ! My dad is from Thailand so I know Thai food ! Yummy Thai is very authentic and food is very vibrant ! We asked for very spicy and that's exactly what we got ! And the mild dishes were on point ! The raw shrimp and the snails was my favorite !! Worst service I've ever experienced in my life. I ordered SOUP. The other people at my table got their two entrees 22 minutes before they brought mine. I asked the lady to box it up because I had to go and also to check on the pad Thai I order to go....She never came back. I had to get up and ask someone to pack it up. 20 minutes later I was begging for my food so I could go and asked for a manager. The boy insisted that he wasn't there. Two minutes later Tommy asked if I need help. I asked if he was management and he was. So I definitely didn't appreciate being lied to. I definitely shouldn't have paid for that meal I didn't get to eat with my friends. They are incompetent and can not handle a crowd. I would review the actual taste of the food but because it took over 40 minutes to get my soup into my possession I haven't had a chance to eat it since I'm back at work. I'll never go back. Staying at a crappy Holiday Inn Express by the convention center and nothing else even remotely close by (we didn't rent a car) I came across Yummy Thai on Yelp because I eat very healthy at all times and because this is a work trip, the dreaded "dinner out and catered sandwiches for lunch" is inevitable. I opt to order a couple of dinners to keep in the small room refrigerator instead. Specifying sauce on the side, no rice, extra veggies. Yes, they met every request. The delivery was fast, roughly 20 minutes less than the estimate. Piping hot and the delivery person was very nice. The test? Tom Yum soup. I am somewhat of a connoisseur on this soup. When made correctly, it's my favorite in the world and I've had it in dozens of places (many have totally screwed it up). Yummy Thai was spot on. Spicy, sour, sweet and aromatic. A great balance of veggies, broth and nice chunks of tofu. My only regret was not getting a larger size. Should I be back in the area for work I will most definitely order again. read more

My friend and I decided to try this out this place based the local Yelp reviews. We arrived around 11:40 AM(I only kept track as we were taking a lunch break at work) and was seated promptly, but that's where it all went downhill. Our server, while sweet, was not familiar with the menu and had a hard time understanding what we wanted to order despite the items on the menu being numbered. After she took our order, we never saw her again. We waited for 40 minutes and when we tried to flag other servers to ask about our food, they could have not cared less. One lady actually just rolled her eyes at me when I asked about where our food was. I understand they have a busy lunch rush but there were people who arrived 20 minutes after we did and got their food before we did. Not once in the 40 minutes that we were waiting did anyone come up to ask if we needed anything. It turns out our order was never put in. We had to flag down a third person to find that out. After waiting so long already, we were are not interested in waiting any longer. When we walked out and asked that our order be cancelled, no one attempted or seemed to care about overlooking our order. I believe a simple apology would have changed my outlook on this place but I don't care how good their food is, I will never come back because the way their service is shows me that they don't respect their patrons One should never leave a restaurant hungry... read more

My favorite Thai restaurant has been Best Thai in Addison but I live in Las Colinas now and had to check out Yummy Thai since I live about a block away. We ordered the Larb Kai, Thai Pepper Steak, and Pad Thai with chicken to go and it was very good and comparable to Best Thai so I will be coming back to this place again in the near future. I used the Eat24 online ordering service so I didn't even have to phone in my order. You just click on the item on the menu that you want and select the quantity, spicy level to add to your cart, pay with your credit card and you will receive an e-mail confirmation with the estimated time when your food is ready. read more
