We came here on a Friday evening after a recommendation from a friend about their Pho. It is located in a strip mall in Carrollton. The atmosphere is fast casual. We were promptly seated and placed our orders. Everyone loved their pho. We did feel like they did skimp on the amount of chicken in The Spring Rolls and Ban Mi. However, the flavors were good. Food is standard, but service lacked due to improper handling of a service dog for a disability. Every time I visit my friend, he always takes me to this pho spot since it's right next to his place. The food here is fine-pretty standard Vietnamese food, nothing unique. What I do appreciate is the service from one of the staff members, the boy with the glasses. He's always so sweet and helpful. My friend and his mom told me he used to be super shy, but you can really tell he's come out of his shell. He's genuinely kind and always makes the experience better. However, our most recent visit was off. We came in with my friend's mom, who brought her service dog. The moment we walked in, we saw two young girls working at the front, they were not welcoming and would keep walking past us as if we didn't exist. It took a long time for anyone to come assist us, and finally one of the young girls finally did, but it was only to ask us if that was a service dog (the harness said service dog in big hooded letters) and after she replied yes, she asked to see the service dog's card and that it was was mandatory for her to ask every time. It really wasn't an issue for us, but I just wanted to make it aware that it's actually against federal law to ask for documentation for service animals under the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Texas Workforce Commission. As someone who's worked in restaurants for years and dealt with service animals before, I think all staff should be trained properly on what they legally can and can't ask when it comes to service dogs. This felt like an improper handling of a situation involving a disability, and it made my friend's mom, a loyal regular, feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. She even mentioned that the owner didn't come up to greet them like usual, which she found saddening. The only different thing about this visit was that she brought her service dog. Thankfully, the young boy with the glasses ended up stepping in to help us. He brought drinks and took our order in a timely manner. After he was already at our table, I noticed one of the girls came over, fixing her to note pad and getting ready to take our order, but quickly turned around when she saw he was already doing it. I wished I could've just only tipped him. Overall, I felt it was important to bring this up. The food is standard, but customer service matters and it wasn't right this time. That being said, I still appreciate the kindness of the young man who helped us. He's great and deserves recognition. read more

Don't see 4.5 stars often as I was looking forward to it. Came here last Friday night around730p. The place was about 40% full, so we were seated right away. Took about 5 min for someone to take the order as many staff members just stood near the kitchen. Once ordered, it was another 5 or 10 min, which was reasonable. But my go to place at Pho One always have it out within 3 or 4 min each time, so maybe we were spoiled. We ordered the large pho combination and pork over rice for my wife. Taste was average and I couldn't taste anything unique about for a 4.5 rated restaurant. For me wife, which I tasted the bbq pork, it was a bit dry and very sweet. If it was cook shorter time with less sugar, it would've been better. Pho Pasture is usually my go to pho place but I was in the area and was craving pho so I decided to check this spot out. The restaurant is pretty big and spacious and has lots of tables available. We have not been here in a while, but whenever a Pho craving hits, this will always to be our go-to place. The vibe, energy, and aura of the space is welcoming. The broth to noodle ratio is perfect, the broth itself provides the perfect balance and contrast of flavor, and the meat (Brisket Pho for me; Chicken Pho for Mom) is tender and fresh. I have also tried their Banh Mi Sandwich, Vietnamese Spring Rolls, and Vermicelli Noodles with Fried Egg Rolls - all highly recommended. I have to start by saying that i have been here a few times..customer service was never great. This last time i went i ordered a double meat pho, I get home to see that one of my proteins (meats) is missing . I promptly call back to inform them of this.. I spoke with Kelly the manager she said they come back at any time for a fur with double steak on them. The following that direction I came back the next day just so it wouldn't be forgotten. I call the old man who answered the phone said he wasn't sure about what I was saying and he wasn't sure what time his manager that told me this was coming in that day so he wasn't sure what he was supposed to do. After our insisted, he said they can make something work, so naturally I head over to the restaurant. Once I get there the young man at the register which is the same person I spoke to on the phone told me that after analyzing the whole situation they would only be able to offer me the meat which is the double steak and I would have to pay for the in the broth in the noodles. I informed him that this was not what was promised, and it was not good for business and asked him to call his manager, kelly one more time. As he's on the phone with her, he started off speaking English and then reverted to speaking Vietnamese, which so silly he didn't realize I understood everything he said. I told the young man if this is that hard to keep a promise as a business owner I no longer wanted the Pho and to forget about it. This may seem very small, it speaks volumes about Managment and how they handle customers. Ordered the Vietnamese fried egg rolls and two bowls of pho. I have to say it was decent pho. Nothing spectacular but not bad either. It was mid. Egg rolls were pretty good, but I wish they would've provided a couple leaves of lettuce to wrap it. The fish sauce was also way too sweet for my taste. Other than that, the food here was okay. I'd recommend it if you happen to be in the area. It's not on the level of a Vietnamese restaurant you'd go out of your way for, like the countless ones in Garland, but it wasn't bad. I will note, I hate that they have that little mobile pay thing and the server has to stand there and stare at you while you payand decide if you want to tip or not.
