Ordering was quite easy, you order on a kiosk and they will call your number when it's ready. And you would pick it up and choose your spot to sit if you're dining in. I went around maybe 3 pm on a weekday and it looks like some of their more popular items were already sold out. I got the beef noodle soup with a black milk tea with boba. The beef noodle soup was hearty and flavorful, I loved that the beef was tender, and there was quite a bit of it. This definitely hit the spot during the cold weather. The black milk tea was a bit too sweet for me, I wish I adjusted the sugar levels but the boba was soft and chewy which I enjoyed.

A fast Taiwanese food joint with pretty limited seating. Two top outside, 5 window stools and a table with seating for 8 (communal). There is an area with a counter where you could stand and eat too. Maybe room for about 6-8. I think the focus here is take out or delivery orders. You order via tablet and they call your name. From order to receiving your food takes about 7-8 minutes so it's pretty fast. Service is nice and they are appreciative of their customers. We downed some assorted dumplings, fried chicken, edamame, a bowl of soup and some braised pork rice. This place really hit the spot for a quick good meal.

Picked up a chicken cutlet bento here and it was quite good. The chicken was tender and not super oily. The rice with the meat sauce was flavorful and delicious. Price is reasonable and portion size is big. Will definitely return to try their other offerings.

Welcome Yumpling to Midtown Manhattan! Today is the soft opening of Yumpling in Midtown Manhattan. This is their second store. First store is located in LIC. Yumpling created an eventbrite event to manage the audience since today is literally their 1st day of their soft opening. I was expecting it to be a little crazy though it was nicely managed. Employees were been trained while we were putting in our lunch order. I was craving their beef noodles even though their lu rou and dumplings were a must have. I put my order in the kiosks (there are 3), the cashier wasn't open today. I waited about 10 minutes for my order to be ready. There are a few kinks (timing between back of the house and when the order is ready) though I'm sure it will get worked out. There was a slight confusion when a name was called and 2 customers answered (though 1 customer jumped the food line unintentionally). The packaging is great... there is a separator from the soup and the dry ingredients so the noodles don't get water logged. Food is great and satisfying as the LIC location. Wondering if they have a screen so customers can check to see if the order is ready. So happy, Yumpling opened a location in Manhattan! Good Luck and Best Wishes! Can't wait to come back to try the other dishes.

Best new fast casual option in Midtown at the second location of the Taiwanese spot with so many delicious menu items. Obviously get dumplings, but the Lu Rou Fan is also amazing and the Fried Chicken Sandwich is one of the best in town, Currently only open for lunch during the week, so take advantage if you have to work in Midtown.

Super quick, friendly service with delicious food! One of the co-founders, Jeff, was behind the counter and had the best personality. We ordered the zhajiangmian, small order of Yumplings, and chicken Dan bing. The crispy chicken bian dang was phenomenal with the lu rou fan. I wish they gave slightly bigger portions of the sides. The pork and chive dumplings were bursting with flavor (highly highly recommend) but the chicken dumplings were lacking in flavor and texture. They also have canned drinks from Taiwan I'd recommend! The inside was well lit and spacious. Yumpling is a wonderful place for lunch!

Came here for lunch on a Thursday. It was packed, but wait overall wasn't too bad as they are extremely efficient. Got the pork chop over rice. A bit on salty side, but still very tasty.

I finally made it to Yumpling Midtown!!! The new restaurant looks totally fantastic, beautifully and simply decorated and spacious! Chris has a small picture of their Red Yumpling food truck by the register, paying homage to their humble and amazing beginnings!! I plan to give them more photos I took of them when they were located at 1221 Ave of the Americas with their lunch line down the block!!!! The food is delicious as always! I tried the new 3 Cup Chicken, and it was yummy!! And my favorite Pork and Chive dumplings and Beef Noodle Bowl did not disappoint. I am so happy and proud of Yumpling and their expansion! Welcome back to the City Yumpling!! I will be back to both your LIC and Midtown locations!! Love you guys!! Cheers!!!!

Yumpling is a fantastic spot if you're craving authentic, freshly made dumplings. The dumplings are incredibly flavorful, with perfectly balanced fillings and wrappers that are tender yet hold together well. Whether you order them steamed, boiled, or pan-fried, you can tell they're made with care and quality ingredients. Beyond the dumplings, the menu has a great variety of classic comfort dishes, and everything feels very home-style and satisfying. The portions are generous for the price, making it a great value. The service is friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is casual and welcoming--perfect for a quick meal or a relaxed dinner with friends. Overall, Yumpling is a must-visit if you love dumplings or want a reliable spot for delicious, comforting Chinese food. Highly recommend!

Tried the pork chop over rice. The pork was tender and not dry, the stewed pork sauce was good and the proportions of all the components were very good.

So, following months of wait... we are finally tasting some close to work authentic Taiwanese food! Once again, the good people (and hungry ones they are) at work and I gathered to embark on this culinary adventure. Dumplings.. er, sorry, YUMplings; I absolutely prefer the pork ones... it's, IMO, what they are SUPPOSED to be filled with and the chives just give them that touch of authenticity. The chicken and veggie ones aren't bad, but I simply prefer the OG pork ones. Now, the office was split on this. We need a tie breaker! The Pork Chop over rice, otherwise known as "Pai Gu Fan", tasted JUST like their counter parts in Asian neighborhoods in the outer boros. Served with a bit of their Lu Rou (seasoned mince meat + what I believe is preserved veggies) over your rice of choice, 1/2 a soy sauce egg and pickled veggies. Value; this is where they loose points. Out the door @ just under $16 for a rice dish is good value for midtown Manhattan... but, IMO, you fall short when you fail to satisfy a big boy's appetite. Say, you get their Yumpling Trio; yes, a very tasty treat (although some of my work pals didn't quite feel the thickness of their dumpling skin), the portion is insufficient for IT to be lunch at $21. The hours are (for he moment?) 11-3pm. Ordering food can be done via tablet. Food is prepared very swiftly.

Very good Taiwanese food. Came here after a recc from a coworker, who compared it to the quality he's had in Flushing, so my expectations were high and I was pleasantly surprised. I'm originally from the bay and the flavor is exactly what I remember from the bento box places over there. Small seating area, and ordering is done from tablet kiosks against one of the walls. Food was fairly quick to come out. Definitely coming back.

Food colored; I didn't find out until o brought it back. That's something that should have been disclosed for people that care about their livers. Very tasty and good service though. Pleasant atmosphere.

We didn't have reservations and were told there would be about a 20-minute wait, which was totally fine. However, once we were seated, everything went downhill. We sat for 15-20 minutes without being greeted or even offered water. It wasn't until someone in my party got up to ask for a server that we finally received any attention. Our server came over, took our drink and food order, and then disappeared for the rest of the night. We never saw her again. The bartender and a food runner ended up bringing out our drinks and food--but only half of our order arrived. We were told the rest would be coming, but it never did. One person in our party of three was left without food while the other two of us ate. I tried to wait, but after a long time it became clear the missing dish wasn't coming. Even after we finished eating, our dirty plates remained on the table while we sat there waiting, which added to the frustration. At that point, nearly an hour had passed with no resolution. The host did offer a complimentary drink, but honestly, that didn't make up for the experience. We eventually decided we no longer wanted the missing meal. Ironically, as we were paying and preparing to leave, the food finally came out. Given how poorly everything was handled, the dish should have been comped, but it wasn't. Overall, the lack of service and attention completely overshadowed what could have been a nice dining experience. I would not recommend this place.

Best way to describe this is luxe Asian or bougie Chinese. If you are fan of top Chef it would be called soigné. We had three of the hot apps, Foie gras, lobster shumai with caviar and morel mushroom with spinach crystal dumplings. After that we're deciding between the quail and beef tenderloin wok dishes. Since the quail was spicy went with tenderloin which came with small serving of rice. All the food was great. I felt the crystal dumpling needed a kicked and they brought Out there house soy and hot vinegar sauce. For drinks I tried there mix of a classic martini with an old fashioned and after discussions with there somm who nicely recommended a more affordable bottle that would meet our needs got the Chardonnay by glass as a bottle. Enjoyed the meal though likely spent 5 times what usually spend on Chinese place mainly due to cost of alcohol. Place is well designed with a look similar to Butter downtown with the arched ceiling mixed with with the sound dampening feature of similar design of bar Boulod. Will return to try the quail and the lobster spring rolls and if they keep to this standard will increase rating to 5.
